We got a recommendation for this place. So, we stopped by after leaving Columbus Market on Saturday. Upon arrival, we noticed there was indoor and outdoor seating. Because of the great weather, we took advantage of the outdoor seating. I ordered the Drunken Banana and my partner ordered the Flying South. You have to use the kiosk to place an order, which is super simple. Our drinks arrived quickly via waiter and I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The drunken banana was sweet, but not too sweet. I could taste the banana liquor, the vodka and pineapple juice. I absolutely LOVED IT!! My partner liked his Flying South. It was a strong drink. We completed two rounds and went on our way. We enjoyed our short stint at RFD and look forward to popping up there again when we are in the area.

I stumbled upon Recklesstown after leaving a winery and glad I did. Decided to stop in for a drink and this distillery truly has many options to offer. They have vodkas, gin, moonshine, spiced rum, bourbon and distilled IPA. They have a signature cocktail menu too. It's a pretty big space with lots of seating indoor and outdoor. There is merch you can purchase, even pre-made bottles of a cocktail. I bought the cranberry caipirinha to try and it was good (I would prefer it to be a little stronger and I make with Cachaca, this one was made with vodka. Again, not horrible) They are closed Mon - Wed. Sundays, kids are allowed. No food here but you can bring your own, have it delivered, etc. They do have trivia nights and other events from time to time. Would love to come back when it's warmer out.

Stopped by today for Mother's Day and had a really nice experience. It was about an hour before their closing at 6:00, much later than their normal closing, but for the Mother's Day holiday. Their server was extremely informative, explaining about their drinks, their ingredients, and providing some tasting samples. Surprisingly (to me), I especially liked their Moonshine! I had two of their drinks - The Margarita, which is not made with tequila but with their moonshine. I also had their, The Whirlwind. (Check the uploaded menu for the ingredients.) I tasted both their aged and not aged moonshine and found both to be quite smooth, surprisingly so. I ended up buying a bottle. I strongly suggest coming here on a nice quiet day, whereby you can really enjoy yourself and maybe chat with the bartenders and learn a little bit about their distillery and the drinks and what comprises them. Overall, a pleasant experience and the server's willingness to engage with a customer really improved the individual experience and - to the owner - product sales! Highly recommended.

It took awhile but I finally got here. It wasn't on a food truck Friday or happy hour Thursday, but for a quick Saturday activity before dinner, it served its purpose. We were a little worried that on a sweltering day we would possibly have to sit outside. But due to the holiday weekend they were slow. It's a large space inside too, done nicely. Ordering is at a kiosk unless you are paying with cash. I imagine that with crowds this system can be clunky. We both liked our drinks. My sour was tasty if a bit sweet, and not very strong. My date felt hers were on the weak side too. I usually buy a bottle when I visit places like this, but with all of the bourbons priced at $50 I passed. Mixed drinks and mixers are also available here. Again, at premium prices. We'd possibly return for music or food trucks....

I really don't know how to review this place. It looks so cool on the outside but not much to see when you go inside. The outside area is ok but you're next to a busy road and hear the road noise. We sat outside because there was a loud trivia game going on inside and they recommended it. You can't order at the bar. They hand you a laminated menu and seat you and then you need to go inside and order from the iPad and enter your table number and email and phone. If you sit outside you have to come in to get your drinks when they call you. There is a 90 minute limit to stay here. My wife got the traditional Old Fashioned which was really good. My drink was a spicy gimlet and was overly sweet and not the least bit alcohol forward tasting. I'm sorry but this place is not for us. I expected a better vibe and experience and left disappointed.

It's been a while since I came. I like the drinks now. Good format. Order from the kiosk for no frills. This is definitely a good place to bring a group, bring your own food or delivery. No kids, period! I do miss sitting at the bar and socializing, but this works. John was here to manage the floor. Creative drinks. Pricing was fair. Check this place out with your partner or friends!!

This place is a gem! They make all their cocktails with the best locally sourced ingredients and took their time to explain this process when we checked in. The current set up is to place your drink order at a kiosk (pay by card) and then the drinks are brought to your table by the bartenders when ready. It worked out great for us because you can drink at your own pace and when done there's no waiting on the bill. The decor is rustic / casual. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely make a reservation. The cocktails were all seasonal and well balanced. I can't wait to return when the weather is warmer to sit outside! Pro Tip: Bring your own food/snacks (it's allowed) as they only serve drinks (exception Food Truck Fridays).

A few friends had recommended the distillery as a fun place for outdoor hangouts. The farm did not disappoint. The drinks were very tasty with a generous pour, and the menu has some really unique recipes. Kari was our server- she was extremely knowledgeable, and provided excellent service. She explained that the fresh fruits and veggies used in the drinks are all grown on the farm. The outdoor setup was very nice - socially distant and nearly every set up had a fire. There are unique mixers and pre-made cocktails available for purchase in addition to all of the spirits. Great time all around. We will definitely be back. On Fridays they have different food trucks available to grab a snack. Outside food is welcome.

The old original still from Cooper River Distillery.

A group of us stopped here for a special event on a Sunday. It seems the owner of Recklesstown had purchased the Cooper River Distillery remaining barrels of distilled spirits when they shut down 3 years ago. As aging is complete, Reckless will be bottling and selling the rum, rye, bourbon etc. as Cooper River label until they are gone. Pretty cool. Anyhow... they had a few tasting sessions where you paid a fee and got to sample 5 varieties from Cooper River. There was a food truck and a band playing live music. Recklesstown main bar and shop are housed in a brand new barn like structure. There is an outdoor seating area with picnic tables and umbrellas. I am told they do food truck Fridays. Their cocktail menu is small but they served up some delicious ones. We particularly liked the Tractor Tiki which had rum and falernum. Interested in continuing to check this place out and try some of their own spirits, but this first trip was all about their Cooper River stuff.

Tables with fire pits - awesome outdoor experience

Nice to be out... indoor and outdoor seating. You need to make reservations here or hope someone didn't show up. All outdoor seating has a nice gas fire pit which was toasty warm on this somewhat chilly night. Drink selection ruin is based off the distillery so only expect to get what they have for a few selected drinks, all of them worth it. If the liquor is something you like, but a bottle for the trip home.

Old Fashioned

I'm never not in a mood for a Old Fashioned and this place has a good one! Their other cocktails were pretty good, but I'm a Bourbon guy so this was my favorite. Nice place with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. You order using a kiosk and they bring it right out to you! And if you're hungry, they have some local menus so you can order something.

February 2021: Great prices and even better drinks! This was my first time visiting. I went on a Thursday night, but was told there's food trunks on Fridays, so I'll definitely be back!

This place is awesome, the drinks are amazing too. I had the summer splash and baby when I say creeps up on you, that's what happened and don't be afraid to add an extra shot of bourbon either. COME GET REXKLESS. DONT FORGET TOUR UBER DRIVER. Oh and the lady that puts the drinks together is a magical mixologist.

Parking is somewhat limited, but there is a large lot across the street. When we were there, a bluegrass band was playing. The bartender was very attentive and spends a lot of time making their creations. For example, the Berry Blast which contains their vodka along with simple syrup, pineapple juice, blackberries and raspberries actually uses quite a bit of real fruit and gets muddled into a tasty cocktail. Most of the prices are in the $10-15 range per drink. I believe you can bring your own food and its possible there may be some food trucks close by.

During nicer weather they have a newer outdoor seating area. The staff was prompt and friendly. There were a couple of large TV's with sports playing on both sides of the bar and the interior of the building was open and inviting with tasteful decor. On my first visit I took advantage of their taco Tuesday special. You can order any combo of chicken, steak or shrimp tacos for $2 each and $5 margaritas. I tried one taco of each, Mexican style and enjoyed them. The roja and verde sauces that came on the side gave a nice kick. The tacos were pretty authentic, sizable and had fresh ingredients. I would order them again. For a drink I had their bourbon neat. It's young (no age statement) and just a mixing bourbon. The bottle states that it is distilled in Missouri, but bottled in Yardley. There was nothing complex about it and it's fine for cocktails, but I wouldn't buy a bottle of it. On my second visit, the bartender recommended I try the Skillet Burger - $18 with cooper sharp & served on a sizzling skillet with fries, queso, chopped bacon, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños & scallion. It came out sizzling and was pretty darn good. It made some patrons heads turn and peaked their curiosity. It was a big portion and fresh. The fries with the toppings were good. I would order it again. For a drink I had the Smoked Old Fashioned - YD bourbon, bitters, turbinado, bourbon cherry @ an orange wheel. The bartender brought my drink over with a cocktail smoker and wood chips and finished "smoking it". I thought it was pretty good with mostly cherry and orange coming through with some bitters, smoke from the oak chips and sugar. The vibe here was great and the crowd was extremely diverse. I would say this is a great place to bring friends, coworkers, have a family gathering, date or the family, etc. Both bathrooms were clean on my visits. The other Tex Mex offerings on the menu sound delicious. I'm not a dessert guy, but they have several that look tempting. I'd definitely return here. Thanks guys!!

We arrived on a Friday night and the place was buzzing. We were shown upstairs to a high-top window seat at the bar, which ended up being a great perch to take it all in. Our server was friendly and attentive and clearly knew the menu. Pro tip: make a reservation if you want a seat, especially on weekends. There are multiple levels with both indoor and outdoor seating, which adds to the charm of the space. The cocktail menu leans heavily on seasonal, locally inspired ingredients, and we lucked out by arriving right as they rolled out the winter menu, while still keeping some familiar staples on the list. We started with Granny's Got a Gun, a brown sugar bourbon and coffee liqueur drink, and The See-Through, a clarified citrus vodka cocktail, both well balanced and right on the mark. Next up were the Black Walnut Old Fashioned and Sands of Time, solid drinks overall, though as a bourbon fan I personally wished they leaned a bit more whiskey-forward. We finished the night with Blue Beer, a blueberry bourbon highball riff that leaned more root beer than expected, and their version of an espresso martini, which was easily the best drink of the night. One thing to note, there is no food served here, but you are welcome to bring your own snacks. Pricing is what you would expect for quality craft cocktails in this area. Wildfether works just as well for an intimate night out as it does for a group of friends. This is a great spot for cocktail lovers who enjoy well-made drinks and soaking in the character of a historic space. Definitely worth a visit.

A customer favorite is the "Famous Drilled Orange" where a hole is drilled into a fresh orange and filled with vodka. You have a choice of a grapefruit and also a liquor-free version.
