A terrific addition to Central new Jersey, Seven Sons brewery opens up conveniently on Route 9 S in Howell! A great location, right off route 9 with a gigantic parking lot in a strip mall! What a terrific experience we had going there on opening night and getting a flight of their first four beers! They were delicious we had a lager, a pale ale, an IPA, and a rye!! The rye was our favorite but I definitely liked the pale ale and IPA too! A great vibe, modern interior with nice metal tables and seats, and an excellent staff! Really like their flights, I am an IPA person and their IPA of the night had some piney notes and plenty of citrus body to back it up! The table wound up going back and each of us getting pints of their dark rye beer. And extremely drinkable dark beer with delicious flavors and we were all having such a great time! The layout is fantastic and the service is fantastic! I'm sure once everyone hears about them you may need reservations but we did not need them for opening night! Actually it was a soft opening night they only announced it on social media. Very highly recommended if you love craft beer put this on your list and make sure you go as soon as you can! Try them all!

HOWELL: the newest brewery in Monmouth County is Seven Sons Brewing located right off of Route 9 in Howell! Brie stopped by and was told she was the 1st dog to visit! We are so happy they allow leashed-dogs at their spacious indoor tasting room! There are 6 beers on tap for your drinking pleasure and all are kosher! As the business grows, we hope they add more options. We really enjoyed the Cops N' Robbers pumpernickel rye Porter and the Belgian darts Belgian blond ale! You can get a pint or flight and if you want something to go, growlers are available! The tasting room is cool and modern with views of the huge brewing tanks and natural light from the big windows. You may bring your own food and snacks are available for purchase. The brewery is located inside the Ideal Plaza shopping center and there are plenty of grassy areas to take a walk. Since this place is so new, they are very good about posting their current hours on Instagram!

Reasonably priced, service was acceptable albeit a little lackluster. They don't have food, but they do allow you to bring your own or order in. I liked their coffee oatmeal stout, which was made in conjunction with a local roaster. Tables all are spaced out, so comfortable for indoor dining, even for the covid conscious.

Just good beer, nice to have micro breweries starting to dot the landscape. This town is terribly boring. It needs more music and beer.

The atmosphere was welcoming, and Dee, the only bartender working that afternoon, was fantastic. She gave great recommendations on what to try. We both got flights ($16 each), and I chose the coconut stout, Party of 9, the sour, and the hard seltzer. Even though I'm not really a beer person, I really enjoyed the two I tried! The coconut stout was creamy and smooth, not bitter at all, and the Party of 9 was light and crisp. They also sell their beers in crowlers to go--everything except the seltzer. The only downside was that around 2 PM, a bunch of big groups started coming in, and poor Dee seemed super overwhelmed handling everything alone. I really hope they consider adding another bartender for Saturday afternoons. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try more of their seasonal flavors!

We visited immediately and were impressed with their beautiful two-story space where leashed and friendly dogs are allowed inside the tasting room and when there is outdoor seating in front of the building. There are 7 varieties of beers on tap and the Oktoberfest lager is being featured now. We love the Belgian Wit and Blood Orange Fizz. The space is perfect for the downtown area with a modern, yet warm design. Even the floor is a work of art with a gorgeous painted design on the cement. You can bring your own food and there are QR codes to order from Char-Kol next door and get it delivered to your table. Watch the game on their TVs and enjoy specials 7 days a week and trivia nights on Tuesday evenings. Open every day from 12-9pm.

Know that Colts Neck is a bubble. If you're simply catering to the dullards going to golf at Hitler's Links next door, you could lay it in a little thicker. Make a nice wink out of it, something like a "I sit in the chair at the hotel and watch" Cherries and Berries sour. If this is really who you are - I will miss your decent lagers but Wild Air has you beat on most styles. I am going to save a can of your 9/11 themed IPA (talk about tasteless, shameless marketing) as an homage to your brainless, jingoistic hubris.

I tried a few different options, and while most were really enjoyable, a couple didn't stand out as much as I expected. That said, there's still a strong variety, and it's a great place to explore different styles. Overall, it's a great brewery with a solid lineup and an awesome environment. Definitely a place I'd come back to and recommend if you're in the Colts Neck area.

They text my husband when it's ready, and he heads over to pick it up. Needless to say, he was a happy hubby when I gifted him this gift. Their wonderful crew staffs the taproom and they keep the place immaculate. The atmosphere remains incredibly relaxed with ample seating available, both indoor and outdoor. Special area for kids and doggies to burn off energy during warmer weather. Next door is a burger spot if you want something to eat while enjoying your beer. Every beer they offer is solid, with a wide variety to choose from. My personal favorite is Drinking Crayons.

The taproom is on another level as well. One might say it resembles a millennial hipster fever dream, but being a millennial myself I say it is incredibly well thought out and designed. Housed in a former manufacturing facility for a company that made military telecommunications equipment, there are so many different spaces all under one roof. A bar in the front room and a bar in the back room. A small 21+ lounge with couches in the front, and a giant 21+ "sports zone" with three giant TV's in the back. Three coolers for beer to go. A large merch area. High top tables. Regular tables. Immaculate bathrooms. This place has it all. My girlfriend and I came out on a Saturday afternoon when the place was packed with families and their kids. There was a toddler in the small 21+ lounge and a baby in the sports zone, and only two people pouring beers so they were unable to notice and do anything about it. We don't mind kids in breweries but be advised if that isn't your thing. To the beer: according to their website, they specialize in hoppy beers. There were 13 beers on tap (with some being slight variations of each other). One lager, four stouts, and the rest IPAs. They don't do flights but will pour you two sample sizes at a time, and you'll need those sample sizes for most beers because the ABV will knock you off your feet. I love IPAs and I can easily say they knocked these out of the park. The standout to me was the Birdie Putt, which they didn't have available in cans to go, so we got a four pack of the Ground Rule Triple instead. Founder Jeff Baker spent years honing his brewing skills in his garage before opening the brewery in 2023, and his dedication and passion really show in all of the beers. We live over an hour away, but we will definitely make the pilgrimage back sometime soon.

If this brewery were in Hopewell, Troon wouldn't stand a chance…read more This place clearly specialises in hazy IPAs, and it shows in both quality and range. The tap list is smartly organised by style--pale ale, IPA, double IPA, triple IPA, and even quad IPA--making it easy to navigate whether you want something approachable or fully saturated. On my visit there were also a handful of non-IPA options, including three stouts and two lagers, one of which was a dark lager, so there's still something for everyone. The space itself sets it apart: a large, open taproom with ample seating, plus a second taproom ideal for hosting events. There's a strong to-go game as well, with two coolers packed with cans. In warmer months, the outdoor areas add even more room to spread out and linger. Clean, well-maintained bathrooms round things out. A destination brewery that takes hazy IPA seriously and backs it up with the space and execution to match.

Sometimes you just need a cold beer and a bite, and Triumph delivered on both fronts. The space itself sets the tone nicely. Raw wood beams, big glass garage door-style windows flooding the room with light, and a mix of modern and rustic that somehow manages to feel like both at once. Green plants are positioned throughout, around the bar and seating areas, adding just the right amount of warmth throughout. The space is generous too; a large bar anchors the room with plenty of big tables spread throughout. It could clearly handle a crowd. It's the kind of place that makes you want to settle in. The service matched the vibe. Our bartender was attentive from the start, and at one point a second bartender passing by stopped to check if we needed to place an order. When we told him we were already taken care of, he smiled and moved on. Small moment, but it says something about the culture of a place. I started with the Baltic Porter, a solid pint, dark and roasty with that smoothness the style calls for. Good, but it was the second beer that really got my attention. I noticed the bartender working a hand pump and knew right then I'd be having their Pub Ale next. That's the real deal right there; a true cask pour is a rarity, and this one showed why it's worth seeking out. The ale was alive in a way you just don't get from a CO2 tap, soft carbonation with layers of flavor that opened up as it warmed slightly in the glass. It was genuinely awesome. For food we kept it light, a couple of snacks to set ourselves up for the rest of the evening. My partner had the falafel; fresh, nicely seasoned, with real crunch and plenty of accoutrements to keep things interesting. It was exactly the kind of bite that tides you over without weighing you down. I went with a special: Weisswurst. It was juicy and flavorful; served on a nice bun with mustard and the expected trimmings. My only gripe was the portion size, could've used just a bit more sausage. The real surprise was the side of housemade chips, which were exceptional. The kind of thing you find yourself reaching for long after you've finished everything else. Unfortunately, we arrived just as a band was packing up, but according to the schedule posted on the wall, they have live music quite a few days a week. All in all Triumph was the perfect setup for our little mid-winter getaway.

The place is really pretty and has two floors and a really nice vibe. The music was really great. It was this kind of sexy lounging jazzy type of music. The trumpet player was really good. The band's name was Red123 and I am a fan. We sat and ordered food at the bar and our bartender was great. The other two guys were equally as nice and personable. Now the negative. Although it's considered a brewery, they do not have flights. So keep this in mind when you do visit. I ended up have the Czech dark beer, which was good. It was a large amount as well. My friend had one of the Pilsners and it was pretty good as well. The food for me wasn't that great. I ordered baked oysters with breadcrumbs and bacon on top and it was to be shared with my friend. Unfortunately, the oysters were not cooked thoroughly because they were still kind of slimy and soft and not hot and they did not taste baked. I was OK with it because I do eat raw oysters, but she does not eat raw fish so she didn't have any. I also ordered a Cubano sandwich listed as containing braised pulled pork, Swiss cheese and ham with Bavarian mustard with thinly sliced pickles on the side. I ate half sandwich and it tasted ok. However, for the second half of the sandwich, I decided that I just wanted to eat the insides and not eat the bread. Unfortunately, the pulled pork that was in the sandwich was tasteless and very dry. I do cook roast pork as well as pulled so I know what it's supposed to taste like. I did not notice it at first because the dressing on the bread masked the bland taste of the pork. I did not continue to eat the pork and only ate a piece of the ham and the cheese. I do plan to go back for the vibe and music and if hungry, will try a different dish.
