We come to Bristol fairly often for the festivals and the Bristol Theater shows. Just saw the Rat Pack Together Again! show and it was wonderful! Ate at El Limon, the little Mexican place across from the theater and thought to stop at Dad's Hat. I'm not a dark whiskey drinker (except for Jack rarely) and Rye is the main menu. Okay, I'm game. I ordered the Old Fashioned (classic Rye, angostura and peghaud bitters), $10. Omg! So good! They were out of the mixed nuts from the small bites menu, but I really liked my drink! They offer Rye flights, wine, canned beers, and signature cocktails with rye. Highly recommended. Even if you're not a rye drinker, or drink dark liquors, but I think you'll find something to enjoy!

Dad's Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey Distillery tips its chapeau to both the founder's father who wore his soft felt headwarmer while distilling the best rye in the Commonwealth and while traversing the wilds of Bucks County. Historically aware, he also made silent homage to the Pennsylvania Whiskey Rebellion (aka Insurrection) that challenged the new federal government from 1791-1794. The farmers of western PA didn't take kindly to the excise tax imposed on the free distilling of moonshine by the post revolutionary central government of George Washington, and either refused to pay it to the "revenuers," or took up arms to resist it. Although more bluster than warfare, a few people did die in skirmishes, but almost all the folks prosecuted were ultimately pardoned by either President George or John Adams. So, when I received a gift of the Classic Rye 90 Proof Craft Whiskey of the Year recently, I respected not only the local entrepreneurship from Bristol, but also the true heritage it represented. My first hoist was to our forefathers both local and farther afield who created this grand American tradition. While not the smoothest sip compared to its cousins in Kentucky, it was still warming and capable of skinning a cat. It's medium amber color looked like maple syrup in a beautiful flask. I haven't made it to the distillery yet, but will get there to sample the variety of rye in their casks. The Pre-Prohibition Style Straight Rye Whiskey (95Proof) and the darker amber finished in Port Wine Barrels are most appealing. Need to make reservations for the tour and tasting. If you go be sure to wear your most comfortable fedora.

I have loved their whiskey for a long while, some of the best Pennsylvania Rye you can get. But I just visited their tasting room in Bristol and man! Was it amazing!!! The cocktails were well balanced and they had a nice assortment of snacks. You MUST get the chocolate chip cookies when you go, they are baked to order and are the best I may have ever had. The only challenge is it's a small space, so it can be hard to get a table. It can also get a bit loud so get there early. The bartender was great and enjoyed the service, definitely a hidden gem in Bristol!

My wife & I mostly go to breweries or wine tasting. Out of the distilleries we have visited, this is by far my favorite. It is very small, the bar has seating for maybe 4 or 5 with additional seating on the floor. If you get a seat, it is so well worth it. Len who works there is outstanding!! We were so impressed with his knowledge as a mixologist. You tell him what you like and he can make it. Or he has the best suggestions of cocktails to try. Very personable. We were with friends and all of us were so impressed, we signed up for a whiskey and wine pairing event that Len held a few weeks later. WOW!! We were blown away!!! Len and staff were excellent. They even had someone from Penns Woods winery in Chaddsford, PA. for the wines. Never would have ever thought of pairing whiskey, etc. and wine. It worked out so well! Then on top of it, we find out that Len went to culinary school. This guy also is an excellent chef also!! Best lamb chops I have ever had. Excellent crème brûlée. The event said light food. There was a great amount of food, cocktails & wine to satisfy. If you get tickets, don't eat too much before you come. Len (and I forget the young lady helping him), they couldn't do enough for you. And they worked theirs butts off. If you are in the area, check out Dad's Hat. They will not disappoint! Check out their own brands of rye whiskey too. We plan on going back there a lot more times in the future.

My wife and I went this past weekend and we had a blast. Bartender was super nice and easy to talk to. Old fashioned is amazing. Don't worry, if you're not a whiskey drinker they also have beer, wine, and other cocktails. Go check the place out. You'll really enjoy yourself and it's in a great area.

If you love whiskey this is a MUST STOP! Tour the distillery, hear the stories and try the whiskey. You won't be disappointed.

When you drive past, you might not exactly know it's there- almost looks like a warehouse or closed shop when passing by. It is dark and gives speak-easy vibes. When you enter, it looks like you time traveled into the old USSR with Soviet decor. We had the horseradish shots (spicy to the perfect level- not the kind that makes your nose burn), my husband had some kind of hibiscus or fruity drink, and I had the extra dirty martini. LOVED the pickle stuffed olives that came with my drink. I selected the gin, but would opt for the vodka version next time to see if I could taste more olives. Our server was incredibly friendly, and when we asked about bloody Mary's, he mentioned that on certain weekends for $25 you can pay to get in and drink bloody Mary's and have Oysters. We will certainly be coming by to try! Overall, such a unique, off the beaten path experience. 10/10 recommend.

I've been coming to three of you for a while, and I've always really loved the experience. The complexity of the drinks and the thought that goes into them is really appealing to me, and I think it's worth the price of the drinks, given all that goes into them. The staff here is all super friendly, and the environment is incredibly chic. They recently added more couches, and it truly has a lounge feel, which I think is really lovely. Recently, I needed to host a private event, and I knew they had experience hosting events, so I reached out to Maks to book my celebration. The planning part of this process was extremely smooth. Max was very responsive, making it very easy, and they were flexible with the details. As for the price, I thought it was very reasonable, and I rented the entire space, which I considered a good deal. The start of the day of the party was invaluable; they arrived early to set up, which allowed me to set up what I needed as well. My guest had really great interactions with the staff, and they truly loved the environment, the drinks, and I know they had fun talking with the bartenders, which made the experience worthwhile in my opinion. Thank you, 3 BR, for helping me celebrate some tremendous milestones in my life. If you need to book a private event, I would recommend checking out this place first and speaking with the staff. I don't think you would regret booking a private event with them, as I would not hesitate to do it again. .

Here's a polished, vivid English review based on your visit and the menu you shared:…read more Reckless Town Farm Distillery - A Flavor-Forward Experience Worth Savoring My wife and I had an outstanding experience at Reckless Town Farm Distillery, a place that truly treats cocktails as a craft. From the first sip, it was clear that this distillery doesn't just mix drinks -- they design flavors. We both started with the Coffee Old Fashioned, made with Windy Lane Bourbon, coffee syrup, and black walnut bitters, and it was easily a 10/10. What made it special wasn't just the smooth bourbon, but the way the coffee came through -- rich, toasted, and lingering. You could actually feel the coffee beans at the end of each sip, almost like a gentle espresso finish layered over the warmth of bourbon. It was bold but elegant. I then tried the Red Arrow, built on Dust Settler Vodka, ginger liqueur, blood orange cordial, lemon juice, saffron syrup, Aleppo bitters, and Yellow #9 spice. This cocktail is a dream for anyone who enjoys something warm, aromatic, and slightly sweet. The blood orange and saffron bring a deep, exotic sweetness, while the ginger and bitters add a spicy glow that makes the drink feel comforting and complex at the same time -- almost like a winter cocktail with a Mediterranean twist. Later, I sampled their jalapeño-infused vodka, which was vibrant, clean, and spicy without being aggressive -- perfect for cocktail lovers who enjoy a little heat with their spirits. My wife went with the Southern Santa, a beautifully layered drink made with Windy Lane Bourbon, curaçao, orgeat (almond), lemon and lime juices, gingerbread syrup, and ginger-chai bitters. It was absolutely delicious. The citrus brightens the drink, while the gingerbread and chai spices wrap everything in a cozy, holiday-like warmth. The orgeat adds a silky, nutty finish that ties everything together -- exotic, festive, and incredibly well balanced. What really sets Reckless Town apart is their fearless use of spices, botanicals, and house-made syrups -- saffron, gingerbread, chai, almond, blood orange, and even chili heat -- all blended with precision. Nothing tastes artificial or rushed; every drink feels intentional and layered. If you love creative cocktails with bold, unexpected flavors, Reckless Town Farm Distillery is a must-visit. It's the kind of place where every glass tells a story -- warm, spicy, citrusy, smooth, and unforgettable.

Even though it said it was spicy it was just a hint of spicy which she enjoyed. We'll be back here and can't wait to bring friends.

Parking is somewhat limited, but there is a large lot across the street. When we were there, a bluegrass band was playing. The bartender was very attentive and spends a lot of time making their creations. For example, the Berry Blast which contains their vodka along with simple syrup, pineapple juice, blackberries and raspberries actually uses quite a bit of real fruit and gets muddled into a tasty cocktail. Most of the prices are in the $10-15 range per drink. I believe you can bring your own food and its possible there may be some food trucks close by.
