I've been to 3BR a few times and always have a great experience. I even made my own gin here, which was so much fun. What really stood out to me was my last visit.I wasn't in the mood for a cocktail and just wanted some tea, and they happily made me one. I really appreciated that. The drinks are always creative, the atmosphere is great, and the staff makes you want to come back.

My friend introduced me to this place and I have been obsessed with it ever since! The vibe and the decor of the place is so cool and the drinks are amazing!! Such unique and tasty cocktails and they make their own spirits and liqueurs in house and you can see the hard work they put into the cocktails as well as the atmosphere. They have bingo and trivia alternating Wednesday nights and I've attended both!! So much fun! I am 100% going to be back and will be introducing local friends to this place! Obsessed!!!

Love this little hidden gem in the beach town of Keyport. My husband brought me here once before, this was our second visit, and we will definitely be back for an upcoming recurring event we learned about. When you drive past, you might not exactly know it's there- almost looks like a warehouse or closed shop when passing by. It is dark and gives speak-easy vibes. When you enter, it looks like you time traveled into the old USSR with Soviet decor. We had the horseradish shots (spicy to the perfect level- not the kind that makes your nose burn), my husband had some kind of hibiscus or fruity drink, and I had the extra dirty martini. LOVED the pickle stuffed olives that came with my drink. I selected the gin, but would opt for the vodka version next time to see if I could taste more olives. Our server was incredibly friendly, and when we asked about bloody Mary's, he mentioned that on certain weekends for $25 you can pay to get in and drink bloody Mary's and have Oysters. We will certainly be coming by to try! Overall, such a unique, off the beaten path experience. 10/10 recommend.

This place is so dope! the aesthetic, the drinks, the staff. 10/10. Came here for an event and was blown away by the level of detail and care the bartenders take in crafting very unique drinks. They make a lot of their ingredients in house, which is super cool. They have a lot events throughout the week to keep things fresh. Definitely will be back

The perfect place to visit after a terrific meal at Drew's Bayshore Bistro! We wanted to come back to 3BR after a very enjoyable Yelp event earlier this year. We enjoyed some great jazz entertainment while also enjoying the following: Gospodin GImlet with Quince (2) Baba's Smoking Pipe with BEARBON Baba's Smoking Pipe with Soviet Rum Near and Pear to My Heart Biiscotti Espresso Martini Pricing is fair and the drinks were quite tasty. Service was efficient and attentive - I really liked there digital ordering system. The overall ambiance of the venue is quite nice. Definitely will be coming back!

I really enjoy the vibes at 3BR distillery! The bartenders and all the staff at 3BR distillery are welcoming. I did not feel out of place. This was my second time at 3BR distillery and I enjoyed my first time and I knew I had to come back. The aesthetic of 3BR is so cool. I love how you can see the distillery in the back. Something about it gives steam punk vibes. The first time I came was for a yelp event and just from that I knew I had to come back. My second time around I came with my cousin and sister. My cousin never been to 3BR and she also thought it was a pretty cool spot and she is a tough critic so I'm glad she thought it was cool as well. As for their drinks! They are pretty yummy and they do not skimp on the alcohol. 3BR distillery is definitely one place I will keep recommending just because of the vibe of the people working there and my experience. I definitely hope I can return in the future for one of their events or just to chill and vibe.

Great chill vibe with delicious drink options. We were greeted as soon as we came in & asked if it was our first time (it was). We were given the lay of the land, bathrooms, lounge area, bar etc. & drink suggestions. I would suggest all first timers to try the flight & chocolate pairing, a cool unique experience. It allows you to taste flavors you may not typically go for. My fav tastes was the kofi, even purchased a bottle. The other drinks we ordered were good as well, probably would have had more if we didn't have a 45 min drive ahead of us. As we were leaving live music was setting up (around 5PM) & per the schedule in the bathroom they have bingo, trivia, & live music on a regular. ALSO they have gin & whiskey making classes! Overall, great spot. If in the area again I will definitely stop in.

3BR Distillery is surprisingly larger than I thought. It's a fun spot for a drink and they have a calendar of events that are fun. The place is has a good vibe with some fun cocktails based around their vodka made from peas. I also enjoyed one of their mocktails.

    Camille G.

We had a fabulous Yelp event. We got a personalized tour of how the peas are incorporated into the spirits and how unique they are. It all began from their ancestors. I can't wait to bring my friends tl chill here

Ever since I found out about this place, I've been inviting friends and family to come check them out. You can grab a seat at the bar or there are tables and couches for groups. One of the things that make this distillery great is how versatile the space is. They have boardgames that you can play and have a BYOF (bring your own food) policy, so you can have food delivered there or bring in your own meals. They are also extremely active in the community and regularly host a variety of events and activities during the week. 3BR is constantly experimenting with creating new spirits and liqueurs and besides their normal menu, they also have a selection of cocktails that change seasonally. Their current spring rotation is filled with several excellent crafted cocktails. You can tell the staff here have a lot of pride in their products and they will be more than happy to talk to you about the distilling process and what they have been working on. If it's your first time, I highly recommend a tasting flight to see which of their spirits you like. You really can't go wrong with most of the drinks on the menu, though!

We had our daughters bridal shower here and it was absolutely spectacular. The staff were beyond amazing and so helpful. They recommended to use Jacques catering. All our guests, young and old loved the vibe and specialty drinks. It's such a great place and they have fun events all year long.

    Carmellina B.

Wow this was such a unique experience!! Wanted to try a new place for date night and 3BR exceeded our expectations - from great cocktails at a very good price to their friendly staff, I couldn't have asked for a better time. The ambiance was very moody and decorated in a soviet-punk style. Our table was facing the bar, which was cool because we got to watch them make all the drinks.

Ask the Community - 3BR Distillery

Does this distillery also offer beer?

At this moment in time, we do not offer beer. We produce spirits and liqueurs which are served to you in the tasting room as cocktails.

    Is the distillery dog friendly?

While we are all big dog people and would love to be, unfortunately we have no outdoor space and local laws prohibit non service animals indoors. 😞

The service was outstanding from start to finish -- warm, knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food. The restaurant has a very open kitchen, and several of the chefs took time to show us what they were doing and explain the preparation. They were excited to talk about the paella pans, the saffron and sofrito rice base, the wood-and-charcoal fire, and the way the dishes were finished. They clearly take pride in the food and enjoy sharing that with guests. We had the pão with cardamom-chile butter, roasted oysters, garlic shrimp, picanha, the meatball paella, and olive-oil tres leches cake, along with Alvarinho wine and a draft beer. The paella rice itself was excellent, with a very good socarrat and a strong wood-fired character. The pork-and-beef meatballs were good on their own, though for me the combination was a little unusual and I would choose a different paella variation next time. Always changing paella of the day. Seafood would excite me when available. The picanha, oysters, shrimp, bread, and dessert were also all very good. The whole restaurant operated as a team. That added a lot to the experience because the people serving the food really understood how it was prepared. Even small details were thoughtful. Our leftovers were kept at the host stand and we were given a numbered claim disc to retrieve the bag on the way out -- a simple idea that avoids having takeout bags sitting on the table or floor. I had never seen that done before. Overall, Lita delivered very good food with exceptional hospitality. The open kitchen, wood-and-charcoal cooking, and interaction with the chefs made the meal feel personal and memorable. We would definitely return, especially to try another paella variation.

The bartender--a muscular, gym-bro type who already seemed completely uninterested in serving us--responded, "Nobody cares about that." Really? We're in New Jersey! No matter how much bad luck the Jets have had over the years, they have some of the most loyal fans around. They stick with their team no matter what. But this really isn't about the Jets. When customers are buying drinks and food and make a simple request, responding with "Nobody cares about that" is rude, dismissive, and completely unnecessary. Unfortunately, we've had poor service from this particular bartender every time we've been there. It has often felt like unless you fit a certain look--particularly the cute blondes at the bar--you don't get the same level of attention. Brunch, Great Food & 125+ Drafts? Yes, Please!…read more We stopped at Maloney's Pub & Grill in downtown Matawan for brunch, and let me tell you... this was the best idea ever! The first thing that grabs your attention when you walk in is the massive lineup of draft beers. Maloney's is known for its incredible rotating draft selection, with more than 125 taps featuring everything from IPAs and stouts to ciders, meads, Belgian ales, German lagers, and more. And if you're staring at that wall of choices thinking, "How in the world am I supposed to choose?" -- no worries! They're happy to let you sample a beer before committing. Now THAT is my kind of place! The restaurant has a really comfortable setup with plenty of seating. You'll find booths that are perfect for a date night, an open dining room for larger groups, outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, and of course plenty of seats at the bar if you just want to grab a drink and relax. And while the beer selection is definitely a major attraction, the food deserves just as much attention. Their menu goes well beyond typical pub food, with steaks, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, salads and more. They also offer Sunday brunch from 12-3 p.m. What We Ordered: Steak & Eggs A nicely grilled NY sirloin served with two eggs and home-fried potatoes. A classic brunch combination done right. Chicken B.L.T.A. Grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and ranch dressing. This was loaded with all the good stuff and packed with flavor. Salmon Piccata North Atlantic salmon fillet with lemon, capers and a white wine sauce, served with mashed potatoes. The lemon and caper combination really worked with the salmon. Blackened Ahi Tuna Salad Blackened ahi tuna over mixed greens with avocado, sesame seeds, red onion and a house lemon-herb vinaigrette. A great option if you're looking for something a little lighter without sacrificing flavor. Crispy Chipotle Chicken Sandwich Panko-crusted chicken breast with chipotle ranch spread, cheddar cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato, served with tater tots. Crispy, creamy, cheesy and satisfying -- what's not to like? Everything came out hot, fresh and in a timely manner, which is exactly what you want when you're dining with a larger group ordering several different dishes. And honestly, just thinking about that meal has my mouth watering all over again! A special shout-out to our server Jeanette, who was fantastic. She was friendly, pleasant and attentive without hovering, checking on us throughout the meal and making sure we had everything we needed, including keeping those water glasses filled. Great service can make an already enjoyable meal that much better. Maloney's has been part of downtown Matawan since 2005, and I can definitely see why it has become a local destination. Whether you're stopping in for Sunday brunch, meeting friends for dinner, looking for a great burger or steak, or simply want to explore their enormous rotating beer selection, there's plenty here to keep you coming back. (maloneys) If you're in the Matawan area and looking for a brunch spot with great food, a fun atmosphere and an unbelievable selection of drafts, put Maloney's on your list! We'll definitely be back -- next time, I'm exploring more of that beer list and trying something else from the menu!
