Had two great visits at Yardley Distillery. I found parking in the shopping center lot and a seat at the bar both times. There are tables around the bar and in a back dining area. During nicer weather they have a newer outdoor seating area. The staff was prompt and friendly. There were a couple of large TV's with sports playing on both sides of the bar and the interior of the building was open and inviting with tasteful decor. On my first visit I took advantage of their taco Tuesday special. You can order any combo of chicken, steak or shrimp tacos for $2 each and $5 margaritas. I tried one taco of each, Mexican style and enjoyed them. The roja and verde sauces that came on the side gave a nice kick. The tacos were pretty authentic, sizable and had fresh ingredients. I would order them again. For a drink I had their bourbon neat. It's young (no age statement) and just a mixing bourbon. The bottle states that it is distilled in Missouri, but bottled in Yardley. There was nothing complex about it and it's fine for cocktails, but I wouldn't buy a bottle of it. On my second visit, the bartender recommended I try the Skillet Burger - $18 with cooper sharp & served on a sizzling skillet with fries, queso, chopped bacon, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños & scallion. It came out sizzling and was pretty darn good. It made some patrons heads turn and peaked their curiosity. It was a big portion and fresh. The fries with the toppings were good. I would order it again. For a drink I had the Smoked Old Fashioned - YD bourbon, bitters, turbinado, bourbon cherry @ an orange wheel. The bartender brought my drink over with a cocktail smoker and wood chips and finished "smoking it". I thought it was pretty good with mostly cherry and orange coming through with some bitters, smoke from the oak chips and sugar. The vibe here was great and the crowd was extremely diverse. I would say this is a great place to bring friends, coworkers, have a family gathering, date or the family, etc. Both bathrooms were clean on my visits. The other Tex Mex offerings on the menu sound delicious. I'm not a dessert guy, but they have several that look tempting. I'd definitely return here. Thanks guys!! read more

They make their own spirits; so not only are the drinks reasonably priced, they are concocted with care and attention to detail. Flavors are balanced and interesting. Same with the food. We split the chip and dip sampler (queso was amazing), birria tacos, and the churros. Staff are friendly; if you don't have kids in your party, try to snag a spot in the bar area. I recently tried the distillery for Taco Tuesday, and was very pleased! It's truly a great deal, and I will definitely come back to try some of the other menu offerings. The chicken taco was a bit bland compared to the shrimp and steak (ordered Mexican style, the only way!). While what we tried was tasty, I feel I have to deduct a star due to the lack of "Tex" on what is advertised as a Tex-Mex restaurant. A few menu items are generic but have "Texas" included in the name, but the ingredients aren't exactly on-brand. For example, there is pulled pork and some traditional Tex BBQ sides like Mac and cheese and beans, but no smoked meat. You can't call yourself Texas without brisket! read more

I have been wanting to check out this spot for a while and finally got my chance yesterday. I loved the outdoor seating but it was too cold. We were quickly seated once inside. There was a live acoustic singer who was seated by the bar on a pretty easy night. My friend started the meal with an autumn bourbon apple cider smoked cocktail and it came with an amazing presentation. They def have some great specialty drinks. The street corn appetizer was so good! Creamy, flavorful and delicious but just needed some more salt. The star of the show were these HUGE jalapeño poppers stuffed with chicken, cheese and and an avo ranch sauce. I've never seen poppers this big done in this way. The fajitas also looked good but were taken home so no feedback on them. We also had a great server, I can't recall his name but he was from Belarus and was very attentive. The $2.00 tacos have to be ordered in 3's! The corn taco shells were soft and looked like the flour shells! The $5.00 Margaritas are from the tap! They add a 20% tip to your bill of parties of 6 or more, and the tip is calculated according to the total amount prior to the deductions. I wish they would have told us this or had it on the menu before ordering, I feel like this is a shady way of doing business. One and done for me! Loved this place for a date night. We did not have a reservation and were seated right away around 5pm, I definitely recommend a reservation as it got busy. I was able to order one of the seasonal drinks and make it a mocktail which was great. The street corn dip is a must try and the jalapeño poppers are enormous. I ordered the steak burrito for my entree. It was huge and the ingredients tasted fresh. Another perk was there was a live singer on a Saturday night which also adds to the good vibes. I would strongly urge people to think twice before coming here. The way management treats customers--both in person and in their responses to reviews--is honestly shocking. Instead of taking accountability or showing any level of professionalism, the manager is dismissive, defensive, and outright disrespectful. What's even more disturbing is how they publicly respond to feedback. Rather than trying to resolve issues or show basic empathy, they attack and belittle customers. It says everything you need to know about how this place is run. No one should feel uncomfortable or disrespected for simply sharing their experience. There are plenty of restaurants in the area that actually value their customers--this is not one of them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that treats people with basic decency. read more

Highlights: Margaritas, ambiance & late night happy hour We have popped into Yardley Distillery a few times and it is always a good time. We first came here for dinner and got some burgers and nachos. Although I wasn't terribly impressed with the nachos the burgers were amazing. Hubby and I also had a couple of margaritas that were nicely made and delicious. Considering there are not too many restaurants in Morrisville, it is nice that this one is open late AND has a late night happy hour. Everything from cocktails to a few appetizers are a bargain late night, which makes it the perfect place to hang out with friends or a date. I espeically love sitting at the bar and chatting it up with the friendly bartenders. They kept checking to make sure we got everything we needed before the kitchen closed. As a local, I am most thankful that they made this part of town appealing, because there's really nowhere on this side of town to hang out. The outside space that they have built is beautiful and the place is actually very family friendly (especially on nights when they have live music). Got a chance to ask our questions, a line on our menu items and get ready to place our order tonight we decided to start with the Mexican Street corn which we love and this time we tried to chili, and for our main we had a rice bowl with chicken. The street corn is definitely a go to dish for us. It's great way to start and also enjoy throughout the meal with the cold temps. I thought it would be a great night to try to chili for the first time. it had a good flavor, however where it lacked in delivery was that it was more soupy than traditional chili having more body- more meat and beans. Cute place and good service! It was so much busier than I expected at 5 pm on a Thursday. We ordered chips and salsa for $6 which were delicious. Being Texans, we were a bit grumpy about paying for chips and salsa. However, when we learned a refills of salsa was $5 & that quesadillas do not come with salsa (a quesadilla standard), we vowed not to order chips or quesadillas in the future. I will say I can understand charging for chips and salsa. It's a bar not a Mexican restaurant. However, a salsa refill should be a part of the deal. Be warned. My sister had a generous and delicious chicken rice bowl that she enjoyed so much. She has at least another meal from the leftovers. I tasted the grilled chicken, and it was perfect. I think I'd order that the next time I come. I had 3 shrimp tacos each served with a single soft corn tortilla which is unusual since 2 is the norm to give the taco a bit of stability. I guess it isn't necessary since the filling, although very tasty, was very skimpy. I'll do the chicken bowl next time as mentioned. We went for dinner and drinks (party of 4). Weather was rainy and we didn't get to sit outside but the outside seating looks really nice. We sat inside at a table away from the bar. Service was prompt and friendly. Restaurant was very clean. We ordered 2 of their YD Signature Margaritas- the biggest size (see pic), Summer Sangria and Blueberry Lemonade. Drinks were good. For dinner we ordered nachos as an appetizer. They were HIGE. Then 2 chicken burritos (again very large portions), 1/2 rack of ribs and chicken bowl. The food was excellent. We took food home. First visit to newly opened restaurant. Food was excellent and margaritas super tasty. Service was spot on. Very attentive wait staff. Issues: margaritas with salt were so full that the salt on the glasses' rim was gone by the time the drinks made it to the table; noise level fairly high. We were in dining area but noise from bar area was a problem. Not a romantic setting for Valentine's Day, but hey, it's Tex-Mex. read more

I have been here twice before, and I thought the food and drinks were good. I went here on a Wednesday evening with my wife and unfortunately the food and drinks were pretty bad. My margarita tasted like salty water. I asked my wife to taste my drink, and she agreed it was the worst margarita she ever had. The rice bowl had way too many jalapeno's making it hard to taste the rest of the ingredients. The ingredients in the Mexican salad were good however, they didn't have any dressings that go with a Mexican salad. We had to settle for Italian dressing. Our server appeared to be new on the job so the service was not exactly the best. Unfortunately, I had hoped to make this our go-to place for Tex Mex food. I will probably go back one more time in the spring to see if the food and drinks have improved. read more

My main issue was we put in our app and entree orders at the same time and the entrees came out about 90 seconds after the chips and guac arrived. Went here on Sunday with my boyfiend and another friend and sat at the bar. Started off with the Jalepeno poppers and they were fantastic. Freshly made and delicious. Nothing like the frozen disgusting ones you get everywhere else. They are huge...so be warned, you may not have room to eat your meal. We ordered the fajitas, a burger and burrito. All very good, but I think the burger may have been the winner. Both the bartender and one of the owners were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable our first time there... This former Friendly's has been transformed. It's now a cute small little restaurant. I'd call the decor rustic country it's comfy. We started with the bacon wrapped shrimp. Yummy. Then I had the chicken burrito. It was very good except it could have had more chicken in it. Also the portion sizes are huge almost too big. Our friend hated the Chardonnay.
