    Honey lavender martini

I really enjoyed this bar with my husband.. it was nice to not feel the pressure of having to get food and just indulge in some deliciously crafted pre dinner drinks! The servers were kind and attentive. The vibe was like an upper scale casual well decorated bar with shuffleboard in the back. A little smaller of a place but we went on a Saturday at 4pm and it was a perfect steady busy.

Triple Sun Spirits is a bit of an enigma. While their cocktail craftsmanship is first class, and the floor plan in the long narrow State Street Newtown building is simple but comfortable, the dishes coming out of the kitchen are not comparable to the mastery at the bar. My son and I stopped in yesterday afternoon to check out the mixology and sample the kitchen fare. We thought a local Bucks BBQ operation was in house, but learned that was not the case. It was only there seasonally, but that they still had a snack menu of things like sandwiches, flatbreads and TexMex. Not what we hoped for, but it would do. My Vodka Basil Berry cocktail was excellent with chunky ice, House distilled vodka, raspberry/blueberry infused and basil leaf. It was a cold mellow drink that only hinted at its alcohol content. Liked it a lot! My son ordered Workhorse Golden Lager in a can. The brewery is in King of Prussia and has a solid reputation. He enjoyed its IPA-like flavor. We ordered Chicken Nachos for the young man and Tomato Basil Flatbread pour moi. Here is where things began to go south. At $17, the Nachos were predominantly chips with a unreasonably small proportion of chicken, avocado and salsa. Chips were store bought, and there was low level cheffing to combine and present the platter. Edible, but uninspired. So, too, the flatbread. Costco or Walmart prefab "flatbread," with artificial scorch marks, tomato sauce and minimal melted cheese - heated to acceptable temperature in a microwave so it was hot but soft throughout, without any crispness, nor originality ($12). The lack of effort was apparent. We ate what we got, but looked at each other with expressions that approached, "WTF?!" The coupe de grace was the closing transaction with the servers. We had good service from the one woman assigned to our table. She did a decent job until the end when she dropped off our check. Right after that a group of her friends/off duty colleagues stopped in for drink and conversation. She forgot about us as she chatted with them and eventually sent someone else to take our payment. What should have been a quick transaction turned into a 15 minute delay. Unprofessional, to say the least. With great drinks, awful food, high prices and spotty service, there is not much to recommend about Triple Sun Spirits. But, if you go, have your cocktails and go elsewhere in town for a meal. There are plenty of very good choices nearby.

Great cocktails! Espresso Old Fashioned was perfect. Good laid back atmosphere. The raspberry basil cocktail was good too

    Triple Sun Pennsylvania Straight Bourbon.

Picked up my order of Pennsylvania straight bourbon and tried it today. This place is primarily known for its fancy cocktails and they do a great job with that. This review is solely for the bourbon. This is a very good bourbon and stands up flavor and color wise with any. It is also a lot smoother than most. A bit of caramel and vanilla in there. When I do drink bourbon I typically drink Tennessee or Kentucky spirits but as this is a local distiller I wanted to give it a try. I like it a lot. It is is pricey. For a smaller bottle they get $42. I think this is steep especially when I can get other fine bourbons for less. Nevertheless it is a very good bourbon. If you like American whiskey you really should give this one a try. A Pic of the bottle is below. Mark.

Appears small when you first walk in but as you continue back, there's more room. There was unexpected crowd but we quickly realized it's because there was live music tonight. There are a few high top tables along with couch seating and some games at the back. Staff were working hard to meet the needs of the crowd. You have to go to the bar for service. They sell PA spirits so I tired a couple of gin drinks and my hair and went with the whiskey options. I recommend the honey lavender martini.

    beautiful and delicious

Great local bar serving PA state liquors and beers. Great place to come after dinner for a few drinks. They have several spaces including a few games, TVs and even a semi private room. Bar tenders are very friendly and know how to mix good drinks. I have been here many times and have never left disappointed. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area for a nice drink, great atmosphere and chill vibe.

Great tour - Yeasty beasties, water, alcohol, and all the fun chemical compound names we forgot after the third sample.

This was part of a great day trip for my husband's 40th. We scheduled a private tour. I was hesitant when it was a one-room operation, but Kris was awesome! He right-sized the conversation based on our interests and we walked away with an immense appreciation for him, his craft and his spirits. The cocktails were top notch, the food truck flatbreads were awesome, and ALL of the whiskeys and rums were delicious!

Sweet cocktail that I asked the bartender to make. It was delicious

I think the tasting is very economical, esp for this area, and it was fun to try mini shots of some of their offerings. I'm not much of a flavored liqueur person, but I must say, their moonshines are very nice and with the right mixologist, could be excellent cocktail ingredients. The root beer one was my fav, but I couldn't think how I would use it. The bourbon was good and I might have purchased but for the fact that there are many many great bourbons now, some being several dollars cheaper. I did get their clear 91 proof whiskey that I thought was unique, and somewhat tequila like. They have merch available as well as interesting food items that they make at the distillery. Trader Joe's may want to take a closer look to see if any product copyrights were violated ;) My friend bought picked onions that I'm curious about. Customer service was fun and informative, definitely a good spot to get out of the hustle and bustle of NH on a busy day!

Seating options are at the bar, high top tables, lower tables, a couch area and outside. The bartender (Autumn?) was there on both visits and did an outstanding job. They have their own spirits, house distilled and aged in a location close by. Hardware Vodka, Perfect Storm Spiced Rum, Bristol Springs Gin, Enchanted Indigo Vodka, Cedar Street Bourbon. I tried their Cedar St. bourbon - a mix of 75% Corn, 21% Rye and 4% Barley Malt. It's age statement was 2 years. It was a simple and smooth young bourbon, I had it neat and on a second trip in a cocktail called the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend - Cedar Street Bourbon, House-Made Strawberry Simple, Fresh Lemon which was sour, tart & refreshing for a gorgeous spring day. There was a hint of bourbon, but mostly sour lemon and sweet/tart strawberry. Their food menu is limited with a couple of small flatbread/personal pizzas $10 or 2 for $18 and a pretzel wreath from nearby Papa's pretzels. I had the Margherita which came on a premade whole grain shell. It had a sweet cheese & sauce, fresh basil and the crust was grainy and sweet. Simple flatbread, but it really hit the spot. (The bartender put it together quickly and baked it in a Bakers Pride oven right behind the bar.) They had several beers on tap, cider, tea, local wine/sangria, mead and some non alcoholic drinks. The list of standard and signature cocktails is a pretty good size. Their "Bristol Bomb" - FAMOUS DRILLED ORANGES (OR GRAPEFRUITS) 4 /8 Fresh Oranges Drilled filled Wit or Witout Hardware Vodka looked like a real fun drink! I will certainly return here at some point. My most memorable drink of the night was ironically my last one, Forbidden Knowledge. It's unusual to say the least, and most people might hate the lovecraftian ingredients, but I enjoy trying something that looks like there's a story behind it. One of my favorite game series is Elder Scrolls, and this drink just screamed Hermaeus Mora and the dark library within the Wretched Abyss. I didn't have high hopes for the taste, but surprisingly, it suited my palette. Sweet, a little bitter, with a tart bite and sharp herbal kick to the senses. Chatted with the amazing bartender who concocted the drinks that night, and he told me that some of them, like this one, came to him in a dream.
