I wish I had taken pictures but I really wasn't thinking I was going to write this at the time. It was only after the whole meal was over, and realizing that it was utterly awful that I felt directed to share my experience. My boyfriend and I sat in the bar area for a quick lunch on Friday. It was busy but not overly so. I got a drink that was decent. The service was also good but that's where the positives end. For a starter we tried the Hamachi Crudo. What came to the table was far from acceptable. Large hunks of tuna, some pieces with the white part of the skin still attached. It just looked botched. Bloodline and different sized pieces. You couldn't chew the white part so we had to cut it off. Then when we tried to eat it, it was full of pin bones. We picked out 4 pieces with bone. No real sauce on the plate. No flavor other than the chilis that were placed on top. One of the worst things I've ever been served. When our entrees came out first off, the French fries that we paid extra for were spare. My chicken avocado wrap tasted like nothing. It didn't have much chicken, I didn't notice any of the cheese or avocado ranch that was supposed to be on it. It was full of shredded lettuce and diced tomatoes. My BF said his turkey sandwich had no taste either and he wasn't sure it had what it said it should have on it. Very little turkey, undercooked, limp bacon and bread he said that was stale. Walking away we were just shocked. A bad course is one thing but every dish was just abysmal. You know it's bad when the people that were dining next to you grab you outside to see if your meal was as bad as theirs. I know, I should have shared by displeasure with staff but I'm so uncomfortable doing that. I don't need places to be perfect, I understand businesses have off days but this was a train off it's tracks kinda meal. I really hope Braddocks turns this around. But we will not be back. read more

The only good thing about dinner last night was the espresso martini flight and the service. Both were excellent. We ordered the tuna appetizer. We got something that resembled tuna. We took a bite and it was absolutely disgusting. I had to force myself to swallow the piece I had. When we told the server that we were not going to eat it (the taste and consistency were AWFUL), we were told we were given the wrong appetizer. It was the crudo, which apparently was in the tuna family? Then they brought the right appetizer. I couldn't tell you if the tuna was okay because I couldn't even eat it after the other fish almost made me sick at the table. The avocado that came with the tuna was fresh but not seasoned and had no flavor. Both myself and my dinner partner had the same reaction to the crudo. We shared the short ribs and they were just blah. Too salty and dry. The potatoes were just not good. A picture of the short ribs are below. I must say, this would have been a 5 star experience if the service was better. We sat outside on a Saturday afternoon with our dog and it took forever for us to get our drinks and to even just get water for our pup. We ordered the salmon for our fur baby and she absolutely loved it! I was very pleased with the quality and feel so good that our pup enjoyed herself. So cool that they have a whole separate dog menu with tons of options. I ordered the shrimp salad for myself and it was amazing and my husband had the chicken wrap which was very good too. We never really got checked on while we were eating so we weren't able to order more drinks so that took away from the whole experience. We enjoyed eating outside because the inside bar area seemed very loud but it seems we were forgotten. We would go here again with our pup but hopefully the service is better. read more

Pro's: very clean inside, super friendly staff, excellent service. Beautiful historical building, over 120 years old. Con's: Although classy interior with white tablecloths, the food quality is basically diner food. This is not to say it's not prepared well & with care - but diner-quality ingredients. Wonderful date night meal. We had no plan, ventured into Medford and took a shot at getting a table and got lucky. Food was fantastic, service was great. If you haven't been there before it's a pretty cool vibe, old house converted into a restaurant. We sat upstairs with a view out onto main street. I had a hazy ipa, we split the meatballs as an app; excellent. Wife went with the crab Mac and Cheese, which was enough for 3 people! It was so creamy, rich, and filled with crab meat. So good. I had the Halibut special over wild rice, bok choy, with a miso broth and Serrano chilies. It was amazing. Haven't been here in years, but already looking forward to heading back soon. The only consolation to my date with my wife here was that our waitress Nikki was friendly and helpful. The food was ok but not worth at all the price paid. The egg rolls came old cold. Our table was outside but near a window and people inside were sitting on the windowsill and the view wasn't good lol. Also, there were tons of flies by our table buzzing around and landing on our food. I definitely won't be going back. read more

Overall decent atmosphere & service. Sat at the bar, the bartender was nice and she was busy so it took a little longer than we would have preferred. It's not her fault, but they should have more help (unless maybe it was a one off). Presentation of the food was good. I do wish the chicken wings were a bit more cooked internally. I picked at them, left half untouched. Cheesesteak egg rolls were pretty good though. My friends enjoyed the cocktails a lot. Prices were a bit higher than other places. I wouldn't go out of my way to return but wouldn't say it was awful either. read more

Like always, Braddock's never disappoints! This may have been my 74th check-in at Braddock's Tavern however it was a night full of new experiences. We arrived a little after 6pm on a Friday and soon after we were able to get one seat at the bar (I stood until the seat next to my fiancé opened up which is typical for a Friday/Saturday night). My fiancé started with a classic espresso martini - one of the must order cocktails here. I will continue to say this as long as I live but, in my opinion Braddock's has the best bartenders around. The bar area is so cozy and dimly lit. I definitely prefer sitting in there as opposed to the dining rooms. It had been a few weeks since we'd been to Braddock's and we noticed their menu had been updated. Everything else we ordered were new menu items starting with my Manhattan with tobacco bitters and an orange peel garnish - it was smooth and delicious. As long as it stays on the menu I will be having one at each visit. We then decided to split 4 new appetizers which turned out to be a great decision. We ordered the Chicken Lemongrass Potstickers, Confit Artichokes, Short Rib Sliders, and the Chef's Flatbread which was a burrata flatbread with roasted tomatoes, asparagus tips, and balsamic drizzle. All four dishes were great. The potstickers were fried perfectly and had a subtle light, refreshing flavor that came through from the lemongrass. I'm not a big fan of sliders, but we figured these would be easy to share. The short rib was so tender and it was a tie between these and the artichokes for my favorite of the night. The artichokes were also very tender, but the leaves were perfectly crisp from the confit. As far as the flatbread, the ingredients worked so well together. I loved the roasted tomatoes and balsamic drizzle as they added such a nice sweetness. I would absolutely order each of these again. My fiancé finished off the night with a Pumpkin Espresso Martini with a perfectly drawn pumpkin on top courtesy of Grace. I chose to change it up and went with a lemon drop martini. Braddock's is our spot and will always be our spot. Each visit we have great food, professionally made cocktails, and are treated very well by all of the staff. Stopped in for a meal and a drink. Restaurant is divided into two sides. The bar side, which is always hopping and always crowded. Not wanting to wait we went to the quiet side of the dining room. Dimmly lit, and a great relaxed atmosphere. Reminds me of my grandma's old home. Food is good and prices are decent. The onion soup was cheesy and delicious! The bread the sandwiches came on was super fresh and amazing as well. The homemade chips that come with the sandwiches are really good. And they make a pretty good espresso martini, I didn't know which flavor to have so I got the flight. read more

It's so weird how yesterday was our first meal here ever since we don't live far away. But I kept hearing about their espresso martini flight so that's why we came. The espresso flight was fun. My filet sandwich was good. It was the perfect night to eat outdoors so I was glad they had outdoor seating there. The best part of our dinner though was our server. She was so kind and friendly- she was the reason why we hung out there longer as she sweetly encouraged us to order more drinks and desserts (even though we were full haha). Went there twice, first time was for valentines dinner. The service and food was excellent that time and so we decided to go again on a random Tuesday afternoon just because. The service was very very slow this time it took 20 minutes for our drinks and 40 minutes for our wings then they didn't even ask us what we wanted for our main course till the wings came out and that took another 40 minutes to an hour. I ordered a burger and it tasted like charcoal. Honestly it was so bad of an experience we will never be going there again. read more

Came here last weekend for a girlfriend's brunch. I had never been here and we were seated upstairs: it's such a unique venue and we got a really nice secluded table by the fireplace Tried my first ever espresso martini: it was really smooth and had a great flavor. My friend had a mimosa and the omelette special: it looked very good. I got the avocado toast: might be my favorite in the area. Two large slices of sourdough, avocado, fried eggs, balsamic reduction, greens, and pickled onions. It was my first time here, and I went with some friends for a birthday lunch. The building is beautiful and so historic. It is great to see such places preserved! I went in December, and the holiday decorations were gorgeous. It definitely elevated the experience. We sat on the covered balcony, overlooking Medford's charming Main Street. The service was friendly, and the food was tasty. The experience and warm ambience make it well worth the visit. However, be prepared, as it is pricey. My family and I, party of 9 including 2 children, 2 and 6, just celebrated Easter 2025 at Braddock's Tavern. We opted for the Easter Brunch which included a buffet, balloon artist and the Easter Bunny walking around taking pictures with guests. It was better than expected. The food was very good. I am not normally a buffet eater, but they did a really nice job. They served an au gratin type of potatoes that were little individual servings. They looked so delicious but when I tasted it, it was cold. I told our server, and she came back within several minutes to say they were removed from the buffet and replaced with hot ones. That was such great service and handled perfectly. I have to say that really impressed me. They had such a good variety of food, something for everyone. I am a scone and clotted cream addict. Well, they had 3 types of homemade scones and homemade clotted cream. I wish I could have taken some home as both were amazing!!!!!! They also had a bacon bar with I believe 3 types of bacon, regular thick bacon, one with hot honey and one with brown sugar. The ham was so good. My son and husband both had 2 servings of the chicken and waffles and said that it was so delicious. They infused the waffles with syrup:)))) They did not rush you at all in between seatings which was awesome as we came from different towns and got to spend some nice family time together. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, I can't say enough. Some young servers do not always have the best additudes, but everyone was pleasant. We normally go to a different restaurant each Easter however we all discussed it afterward and decided that next year we will most likely make reservations at Braddock's for their Easter Brunch. Very disappointed in our visit to Braddocks tonight. We have been there many times before and have always been pleased with the food and service. We wanted to try the resturant week menu and, knowing it would be busy, called before coming to make sure there were available tables as we did not have a reservation. The hostess we spoke to on the phone let us know there would be about a thirty minute wait for outdoor seating and the earlier we arrived the better. We arrived at the resturant approximately 15 minutes after the call. Upon reaching the hostess stand, we were met by an incredibly disrespectful host. He was dismissive and rude and told us there were absolutely no available tables all night and we could sit in the bar if we wanted. We went to the bar and were informed there was no restaurant week menu offered in the bar area. Thankfully, a very nice and accommodating hostess was able to give us an available table so we could get the special menu we had hoped for. Throughout our two hour visit, there were multiple tables open inside and outside. For appetizers, we had the crab bisque and crab stuffed mushroom. Both lacked flavor. The pork chop and steak diane were also bland and needed salt. The best part of the meal was the ricotta dessert, which was good but still lackluster. There were also flies swarming around our table the entire time even though we were seated inside. While the wonderful waitress and hostess saved the experience, the condescending attitude we were met with upon arrival definitely put a damper on things. read more

I held a company event here for a little over 50 people and the service and food were EXECELLENT!!! Peter was so accommodating and staff were so polite and on top of things. Everyone that attended couldn't stop saying how nice the venue is and how great the food was. I've eaten here on multiple occasions and was always completely satisfied. We took our dogs this past weekend to Braddocks since they released their dog friendly menu. We ordered the espresso martini flight and had the Mac and cheese as well as short rib dish. The dogs had the peanut butter banana apple bowl and the turkey burger. Although our initial customer service from the manager was great when making the reservation, it was raining the day we went so we called ahead to make sure we could still be seated. The gal who answered said they were not seating anyone on the patio, however nobody called to tell us that and our reservation was specifically for outside with the dogs. My boyfriend called back and got the same response and asked if we were going to be contacted or if they could still accommodate us. They agreed to seat us on the porch, which worked out great and the rain stopped before we got there. The place is cute and our server was fantastic. My only recommendation is for the team to check the reservations for any notes or requests so that customers can be notified if something has to change. Overall great experience. read more

I just went here today with my husband and puppy after visiting a nearby dog park. Dogs are welcome on the outside sidewalk patio and covered porch. The staff was so welcoming and friendly to every pup there. Our server brought my pup fresh water and had the kitchen make her a plain burger patty. I tasted it and even plain it was really good! Our entrees were also delicious! We had the fried chicken sandwich, Mac n cheese, and the most delicious and unique BLT sandwich ever! Then asked if I needed anything to clean it up. Wow!!! Our waitress, Devon was constantly walking past our table and finally stopped when I was halfway through my burger, to see how our food was. My wife asked me if I wanted another beer, which had been empty since before we got our main course. Service needs a major overhaul. The star of this review is Jenna who was our server and absolutely hit it out of the park. She was attentive (not overbearing, let us have our conversation and took the order when WE were good and ready), our water glasses were never empty, and the entire experience was done with a welcoming smile and a very friendly personality. The food was good - better than most places I have been to, can't quite make the "best I ever had" comment, but it was close. So you won't go wrong dining there. If I had any hesitation at all it was the cost. Four of us, no drinks (except for a single $4 ice tea), no dessert - just shy of $130 (BEFORE gratuity). For lunch. I know many complain about restaurants not offering good service or adequate table settings (I sure do), and I'm sure most of those observations come from a business cutting costs, so maybe that's what's going on here - because we wanted for nothing, we just had to pay the price. Hamburger $22, French Dip $24 - those are lunch prices. So Braddock's still gets 5 stars from me, as the food and Jenna's service deserved it - just word for the wise, budget yourself accordingly when you walk through the door. read more

It was a takeout order but I live very close so it should've been fine, as I order fish from other restaurants takeout without a problem. There was hardly anything on my salad. Went here last night for my girlfriends birthday and I was not disappointed! I've been meaning to go here for awhile since I drive past the cute outdoor setup every night after work! We started with some drinks. I got the French Countryside and she got the Cranberry Pom Mule. Both drinks were very good and hers was so delicious I ordered one for myself after! We got the cheese & charcuterie board and it definitely is one of the best I've had! It had two types of meat and cheeses, different crackers, dried fruit, mustard, jam, pickles, olives, walnuts, and grapes. We wiped the entire board clean. I could've gone for a second one!! For my entree I got the grilled chicken sandwich. It was HUGE! I only got through half. The fries were very good and salted perfectly. The sandwich had sopressata, chicken, broccoli rabe, provolone, tomatoes and garlic aioli. The flavors were delicious together and I ate my leftovers the next day!! My friend got the S.A.L.T wrap and she loved it! She said it had this sauce on it that was so delicious! Again, a big enough portion that she brought the other half home!
