    Chicken Marsala
    Mike S.

Ventura's Offshore Café offers a menu that suits a range of tastes, blending traditional and distinct dishes. The drink choices are basic, including options like Diet Coke and a carafe of water. The meal began with their French Onion Soup, a staple choice. The soup's rich taste comes from the melted Swiss and aged sharp provolone cheese, paired with French-style croutons. It provided a warm and comforting start to the meal on a chilly, rainy evening. Following that, the Caesar Salad proved to be a good choice. It's made with crisp romaine lettuce, croutons, and in-house Caesar dressing, and can be topped with char-grilled chicken. The salad offers a nice mix of fresh taste and satisfying flavor. The entrees included the standout Chicken Marsala. This dish combines sautéed chicken breast, Marsala wine, cremini, and portabella mushrooms, all served over tri-colored homemade pasta, resulting in a flavorful and filling meal. Another impressive dish was the Double Stuffed Shrimp. This entree creatively pairs crabmeat and lemon pepper pappardelle with a citrus beurre blanc sauce, creating a very flavorful combination. The Mussels Ventura, chosen with a red sauce, was a decent selection, though they do warn of potential sand. It came served with linguini and an additional side of spaghetti and meatballs, appealing to those who like freshly sautéed mussels with garlic and basil. Ventura's Offshore Café provides an enjoyable dining experience with its variety of well-cooked dishes, catering to diverse tastes and preferences.

The pizza bread was a crowd-pleaser that combined the essence of pizza with the convenience of handheld bread. The pizza bread is a must order appetizer. I had the Tuna Lesparance for my main and it was refreshing and tasty. The seared exterior contrasted beautifully with the tender pink center, creating a sensory experience that was both visually appealing and satisfying to the tastebuds. The service was nice and accommodating. It was a very delicious meal and I would recommend.

The service was great the apps were fire. We got the sliders, pizza bread, garlic salt pepper fries, and French onion soup. The only thing is our mains weren't very great the were mediocre at best. Cool wooden aesthetic with a cozy feel. I would return.

Mother's Day 2024, although everything we ordered was great, we didn't expect a small menu offering for the occasion. Had I known, we would have chosen another spot. We ordered a few apps & drinks and just enjoyed each other's company. We love their regular menu options, such a let down.

    Short rib grilled cheese

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint. Went on. Saturday around 1pm so it was definitely busy but still got seating right away. Lots of seating and tables, large layout with bar, party rooms and open dining areas. Ordered the short ribbed grilled cheese which was probably the best grilled cheese I've ever eaten. Beautiful contrast of flavors from the cheese, to the short rib, to the acidity of balsamic glaze and arugula. Would definitely be back often for it. Also ordered some a margherita flatbread which I have nothing bad to say about. Very saucy and lots of mozzarella and basil on it. Every bite was great. Had Thai lettuce wraps and calamari to complete the meal and it was all great. Would highly recommend stopping in for all occasions, date night, casual, or even a quick bite.

I really wanted to like this restaurant from all the good reviews but it was a miss for me. We came on a Saturday night so that 30 min wait was understandable. I ordered a glass of wine and my waitress totally forgot until I reminded her. It took over an hour for our main course to come out. The waitress double charged me for one appetizer and I asked for my sauce on my pasta to be substituted. The waitress never mentioned there would be fee for this let alone an $8 fee which cost more than our entire kids meal. There were gnats all over our table. A manager came over and we explained that the waitress double charged us and failed to mention the fee. The manager apologized and said that the ingredients for Alfredo sauce have gone up. Truly terrible customer service and we will not be back.

Cheesesteak with fried onions and fries

The cheesesteak was absolutely spectacular. One of the best I ever had honestly so cheesy the meat was juicy and the roll so soft. The beat salad was also delicious. Oh and the FRIES were great , I usually ask for fries well done but they naturally came super crispy outside with a soft fluffy potato center.

Also a great place to catch any sports games with TVs above the bar. Tried both the red and white sangrias that were steals! From the happy hour menu, we had the open faced empanada that was interesting to say the least. It lacked flavor and the best part was the orange. Off the regular menu, we got the patatas bravas and garlic shrimp. The potatoes needed more sauce as it was a bit dry, but the garlic shrimp was the absolute star of the show. We actually ordered a second one because of how good it was. The shrimp and garlic were fresh, the size was large, and even the bread paired really well with it. Ended with churros as a dessert that was an absolute disappointment. They were so stale, not crunchy, and just simply tasted like it was sitting around all day long.

While it has always been a bit on the expensive side, we enjoy the tapas style dining. Unfortunately, when we at there on 3/13/26 prior to seeing a show at Ocean the food was disappointing. The bacon wrapped dates which were always our favorite we not up to par. Tiny, missing the little pearl onions, overcooked, and no sauce, and the blue cheese all melted because it was put on too soon before serving. They have taken a few favorites off the menu so we had a hard time finding other things we liked. I had to ask for the tuna/cracker app that they usually serve free that arrives before the rest of the food. The Brussel sprouts were very good, the lamb meatballs were pretty much the same but the cheese/jam charcuterie was a joke. 2 tiny pieces of bread, 3 very thin slices of apple, a small dish of jam, and 2 pieces of cheese (could you spare it?) For what I would call a meal of snacks this cost over $65. Something is missing that used to be there (management?) The waitress was very nice and attentive at least

This time we came to see our friend playing music in the bar area. The bar was crowded for 4:00pm but we found a table which worked well for us. He took our order quickly and came back often to the table to see if we wanted anything else. When I read the menu before coming I knew I really wanted to try the tacos. Between my wife and I we got to try 4 types: - Tuna: This was delicious. One of the best tuna tacos I've ever had. They used a nice strip of good tuna meat and seared it with a nice spice blend. - Mahi Mahi (grilled), Mushroom, Shrimp (fried): all were very good The only reason for only four stars was the price for the tacos. Compared to other restaurants that sell tacos they run roughly a dollar more than most establishments. However the quality of the tuna in my opinion does justify the higher price.

My son and wife loved the bacon, blue burger and the surf and turf burger. I got the chicken Parm linguine and I'm thinking maybe I should've got a burger. The "Italian" sauce is way too sweet. I'm thinking too much basil. The chicken didn't taste fresh I guess. I don't know how else to describe it. Our server was super busy, but still did a really good job. Again the burgers and fries are good so I would stick with that or the Pizza or Mexican next time.

It's BYOB with plenty of parking and reservations are a must since they're always busy! You can easily book on resy.com. I've been twice now, and have enjoyed each visit. All their pastas are homemade and their dishes are very flavorful. My husband thought their chicken Parmesan was a little too salty for him with the vodka sauce, but he's sensitive to cream and has more bland of a palate than I do. I thought it was delicious. We had started off with the stuffed gnocchi appetizer. This was hands down the best gnocchi I've ever had! It was like little pillows filled with ricotta in the most scrumptious cream sauce with roasted tomatoes. We wanted to lick the plate, but used the bread to wipe it up instead haha. For my main dish, I had the shrimp scampi with the creamy rice and it was incredible! The shrimp were absolutely perfectly succulent and not overdone and rubbery. The lemon butter sauce was divine. I may opt for the linguine instead next time since I was overloaded with cream after the gnocchi, but it was delicious the next day as leftovers. Service was attentive and well timed. The restaurant is lively and not the biggest, so don't go here expecting a quiet meal. I need to try their dessert next time!
