My daughter recommended it because she has a gluten allergy, and I'm so happy she found a place where she can safely enjoy such a great menu. Third visit to Burton's and I'm not impressed. Each time, great service, nice setting and the food is just okay. I went for brunch. There's not many options especially if you don't eat meat or want sweet breakfast. My frittata tasted like the cast iron skillet and feta cheese. I dined here for lunch with three of my girl friends on Monday, 10/20/25. I'd made a reservation for Noon, but it wasn't busy at all when we arrived. We were promptly seated and attended to; drinks were brought out right away. When our server asked if we had dined there before, the others hadn't but I mentioned I'd attended their recent Yelp Elite event, which she was familiar with. We all shared the General Tso Cauliflower, which was delicious and fun! I also enjoyed the Crab Bisque as a starter and the Fish Tacos for my entree. Everything was hot and tasty, and the portions were just right. No complaints. Initially the food was brought out pretty quickly, then service slowed wayyy down. It did start to get busy, but not unmanageably; however, it eventually felt like we were forgotten about. It took forever to get our check, and the system wouldn't recognize my Burtons membership info to give me points for the visit. But I mentioned the date in the beginning because the AWS outage occurred that day. I think that was ultimately the issue, but the lack of communication and check-ins from our server added an element of frustration to our experience that could have been prevented. We skipped dessert, as we were full and literally out of time (had to get back to work). Overall it was decent, and I'd still go back again. Went here with some friends, who had been here before and highly recommended it. While the food was very good, the service was horrendous. The server was all over the place. She was chatting when she should have been serving, and could not be found when needed. She didn't seem to know what was going on. It was also like a freezer inside, very cold even wearing a sweater. Every server was wearing long sleeves. We sat down and one person in the party gave his appetizer order. She went to put that one in alone, and that threw everything else off. The server did not come back to take the rest of our appetizer orders for 15-20 minutes. The one had his food come out while we were still waiting to order our salads. By the time we got the salad, our entrees were then thrown at us. It was the weirdest service I've ever seen. We ordered bread. Three times. It finally came out right before the food. That was really excellent. My partner and I split a house salad, and they divided it in the kitchen for us. It was very fresh and the dressing was delicious. I had the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, which was good and not heavy. It's not a huge portion. Two people got the haddock topped with crab. It was a very good portion, and I heard excellent things. Unfortunately the fourth person's order was lost, and we had to wait for her to finally get her meal, which came when everyone had finished. We ordered the key lime pie for dessert. First one came out. Then another (we ordered only one). The manager graciously told us to keep the second one and wrapped it up for us to take home. It was excellent. A mini pie with a delicious graham cracker crust. As I said, the food is very good. If you can deal with the lousy service and crazy serving rhythm, maybe you'll enjoy it? I had eaten there twice in one week and ordered the same thing - crab cake with succotash and Old Bay seasoned potatoes. We got there at 6:30 both nights and sat in the bar bc it's quieter than the main dining room at that time. Maybe it was the time of day or the fact that we sat in the bar, but either way, it was not a good experience. The first night, the sides looked like they were either left over from earlier servings - both were not hot and very scant. The asparagus in the side was shriveled and not fresh. The server replaced it when I told her. The second night was really bad. The food was better, but we waited over an hour for food. Our server gave us water and then was nowhere to be found after that. I asked another guy who was near us to find her. She did come over, but we still waited and waited. We then found out that it was an error on her part. I know these things happen, but this was a mess. The manager did comp us the entrées though, but I don't know if we will be going back. read more

Giving another 5 star review to burtons! I love the food here it's absolutely incredible and tastes so fresh! I gotta give it to my guy Gee, he's been our server about 3-4 times but we are here so much we see him a lot more and he's always being so welcoming and sweet to me and my boyfriend! Also shoutout to Chris! I felt so bad, I had this poor guy running back and forth into the kitchen for refills and recooking my steak and he was so sweet and so nice about it. Sorry for being so picky!! Don't mean to be that person!! LOL!! But I love burtons and how clean their food is, how clean their restaurant and restrooms are, and how great their servers are. Party of 6. Seated quickly. We sat on the patio. It was a Sunday afternoon so not a lot of road noise but I could see the outside patio being noisy with route 30 right there. Overall the service was excellent. Very friendly hostess and server. I had the crab crusted haddock. Everything was delicious. Wings and buffalo chicken dip were very good. My wife had the risotto. Sleek bar vibes with an extensive menu. Fried calamari was ok but Fried popper peppers were really good. The chimichurri steak was cooked to perfection (med well as requested) but the sauce lacked flavor. The truffle Parmesan cheese fries were pretty good. Used to be the old chilis location. There seemed to be a miscommunication between their online ordering system and the restaurant and we got the wrong sides (we were supposed to get mashed potatoes as one of our sides but it was replaced with broccoli.) Completely understand mistakes happen. I tried to call back to remedy this situation, and they behaved like I was lying. Refused to believe there could be a system error. Then told me they would submit a partial refund. And I should get an email about it. I have yet to receive this refund or an email 5 days later. Will not be returning. Went on a Saturday night at 6:30 and it was packed. Seated fairly on time and staff were all very nice. Since it was busy, it did take a little while to get greeted and ultimately served but we weren't in a hurry. Had to ask several times for missed items. The menu is interesting and varied. The food is first-class. My ahi-tuna bowl and the General Tso's chicken bowl were both excellent. I would give it a 5-star review but for a few glitches! Friends who ordered medium-rare burgers both got medium (or more) burgers. They commented that the meat was very flavorful but not cooked to order. Our waiter needs some tips ... when clearing plates one friend had some food scraps on the table right at her place ... the area was never wiped and we sat there for a good 30 minutes and saw the waiter at least 3 times after the meal. The restaurant is phenomenal, they take really serious any food allergies, if you are gluten intolerant and or have shellfish allergies, I suggest going here. Last week we went to burtons on my sister in law's recommendation. Well let's start with Maggie our server we were nine and from our welcome to our goodbye was perfectly attentive and everything was well done. She made our experience over the top excellent. Starting with starters the firecracker shrimp was a fantastic choice the tangy sweetness matched perfectly with the freshness and cooked just right. I shared it with my wife but after the first one wanted them all for myself. The bread is worth the price of admission some of the best of any place we have been hot and toasty. The three toppings once again pushed to to beyond olive tapenade, pesto and the creamiest butter I've ever had. Onto our mains I got the steak frites just right medium done side of broccoli. Buttery and soft yet firm. My wife got the seafood risotto she loved it others got the burger chicken Alfredo crab cakes and from what I saw and heard loved theirs too. Everyone pleased, not the easiest for a nine top. Now comes the show stopper the seven layer chocolate cake I highly recommend!!! I'm a bigger guy so I was able to handle it but splitting it wouldn't be a bad idea. Talk about death by chocolate just the right texture of cake and moose like filling. Had a choco sauce on top too. Rasberry sauce and whip cream to do for is an understatement. Best choco cake I've ever had, my wife got the key lime pie also generous portion and delicious I was able to grab a few bites from her plate. Did I mention Maggie our server having my ice tea covered. I can always tell service by how attentive the server is to my iced tea. We stopped for a nice meal, but unfortunately, it missed the mark. While they were attentive to allergy needs -- which we appreciate -- they forgot the tartar sauce for my dish, which was a bit disappointing. The prices felt steep for what was served, and the place was surprisingly empty for a Thursday night, which made the atmosphere feel a little flat. The experience didn't quite justify the cost. Overall a very positive experience. We visited with 4 in a party of 8 with celiac so they gluten free and allergy focus was important. They serve gluten free on a square plate and everything else on round to ensure no mistakes and we appreciated that level of attention. The food on the whole was very good minus a dry/chewy lobster roll, and our bar drinks taking an exceptionally long time (appetizer served and finished before the first round was served). We decided to try Burton's on Saturday night, the decor inside and out is really nice, they definitely have enough staff. The bartenders were great- very personable and attentive. I have a hard time believing this is a "scratch " kitchen. I had the pasta with chicken , peas, and arugula. A tiny piece of arugula. The pasta seems boxed- it is definitely not fresh same as the peas. We had calamari for an appetizer. Tiny portion on a tiny plate and it is not fresh either. Service was spotty, they spend a lot of time trying to figure the ordering pad everyone carries around. She just never did anything unless we asked, we asked for more water, I asked my companions if they wanted a second drink in front of her, we asked her to clean up stuff... just more training and experience is needed- she was sweet. 5 stars to the bartenders and the mocktails-- they were great! read more

We were a group of six old friends meeting for dinner on 7/11/25. The restaurant was so loud that I could not hear the person sitting next to me, much less the others at our table. It was not just the pulsing music, but the absolute loud level of everyone talking louder and louder. It spoiled what should have been an enjoyable get together. Restaurant was very good. Our server Amanda was exceptionally excellent. I felt as though we were mostly ignored by the other staff but Amanda more than made up for it with her excellent service. Food was great, my steak was made great when I ordered it medium rare. The others with me also loved their food except my mother who ordered well done steak Frits but that's her fault for ordering steak cooked like tires. The ambiance of the place is chill and laid back, I wouldn't mind going there once a month on a date with a significant other. The Mac&cheese was okay, needs just a little bit of salt. The inside is extremely cold so we sat outside which was great because the ac from the inside actually made it outside which mitigated the summer heat from outside. I again want to mention Amanda because she really made our dinner there worth it, and my mother who is worse than mr crabs when it comes to money actually wanted to tip her because of how great she was. I actually wanted to give this review 3 stars because we felt ignored by the other staff but Amanda makes it 5 stars with her exceptional service.
