Gina even gave me her personal cell phone number and told me to call her anytime if I needed anything. Every time I reached out, she responded immediately with professionalism, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm. She made me feel like no request was too much trouble. On the day of the event, Gina exceeded every expectation. She personally provided directions for unloading and arranged for her staff to help carry in all of my decorations. Her positive attitude never wavered. She never responded with "no" or "I can't." Instead, she focused on finding solutions and making everything work. It's now a chain, so it's not surprising the quality will vary depending on the location. It was a Monday morning around 11 and it was packed - we waited about 5 minutes for a table. The server was very nice as was the service. We shared the Chicken and Waffles, and the Pancake Egg Special - which is 2 mini pancakes, 2 eggs, anyway you want them, and a side of bacon. We also ordered the Cheesy Grits. I asked for the eggs to be 'an omelette', with tomatoes, onions, peppers and cheddar cheese. I also asked for the bacon to be crispy - I don't like to 'chew' my bacon (I bake my bacon to a light crispy crunch - it's a difficult act to follow). Sabrina's fell far short - it wasn't even close to crisp. The omelette, however, was really the star of the breakfast - the veggies tasted fresh, and with the cheddar cheese, it was excellent. The side of grits was too salty - my partner, (who is from Atlanta and grew up eating them), said not only was it too salty, it lacked any real cheesy flavor. My pancakes were average - recently I've been having pancakes that have such a sear, it stiffens the top and creates a chewy texture - these pancakes had that attribute. They tasted okay, but I like a light and fluffy pancake - these were cooked very quickly on a very hot grill. The waffle was good, both the texture and taste were fine. However, the fried chicken was thin, dry and chewy, with too much breading. Overall, Sabrina's Wynnewood was a disappointment. However, when I'm in Fitler Square, it's a favorite of mine.

My wife enjoyed her Fried Chicken Cobb Salad, while our son was happy with his Chicken Parmesan and side of pasta. The highlight of the meal, though, may have been dessert. We finished with the Banana Beignets, which were absolutely delicious, especially with the yummy dipping sauce. All in all, we had a great experience. I had great experiences in past years but my last two visits were abysmal! The Arugula Thai beef salad I received in the past was craveably good; this last visit it was swimming in dressing (a large puddle in bottom of the bowl) which wilted the arugula; the beef was inferior and not cut against the grain so large, unchewable slabs made it embarrasingly inedible. (I say "embarrassing" because this was an important business lunch and it's a challenge to discreetly spit out unchewabke food.) I informed the waiter the salad was wilted and overdressed shortly after it was delivered. I wanted to be low key and not awkwardly delay our ability to eat together so I said I'd keep it (not that he offered otherwise), thinking it would be good enough. It was not and I left 90% of it in the bowl. There was no gesture to make an adjustment which means they are ok with serving poorly prepared food. My colleague ate very little of her meal as well -- a very over-cooked burger. (She's athletic and usually eats well.) She did murmur something about the restaurant no longer being what it was. I can't imagine how standards in both the kitchen and front of house have hit rock bottom from how wonderful they had been. This will be very hard for them to recover from; the place was not busy at all at 1pm. In the suburbs, the potential customer base is pretty fixed; one or two unapologetically-bad meals and people have no reason to return. In the past, there used to be precious few nice places to eat in the Haverford area. White Dog -- Haverford, anyway -- had become one of the best options. Now it's among the worst. There are increasingly more options that care about food quality Unless you're just at White Dog for a drink and the lovely decor, eat elsewhere. They simply no longer care if they can't even make a salad or properly cook a burger. There is no skill or concern in that kitchen any more. So disappointed.
