What a delightful place! It's a garden store, it's a café, it's an event venue. We stopped in for lunch and saw a bat mitzvah party and a wedding in the spaces. The food was good with fresh bread served in a terra cotta pot. I enjoyed my salad. We got some fries to share, and those were crispy and tasty. We got salads, and both were perfectly dressed and packed with excellent vegetables. No standard spring mix here! We enjoyed mocktails and even had room for the dessert sampler. stunning and uniquely decorated space, but extremely mediocre food. i took my parents out to the burbs for brunch, but this was the worse meal we had together during their 4-day trip to philly. i want to start off by saying that this greenhouse cafe is absolutely gorgeous, and the decor is one-of-a-kind. i also love shopping next door at terrain, the shop. everything is just so cute and aesthetically pleasing! however, the food here is simply not very good. no one in my family particularly liked their dish. my boyfriend and i shared the short rib & egg and the chicken pot pie. the short rib was dry and the potato hash was so flavorless. i took one bite and deferred it to my boyfriend. i suppose i could have finished it, but i really didn't want to. the chicken pot pie was also lackluster. i think it's impossible to mess up a chicken pot pie, but i think the one here is somehow worse than the one served to patients at my hospital. the chicken was somehow so dry despite the wet interior, and the puff pastry was impossible to break apart, not flaky at all. the lobster roll was so underfilled, and the lobster inside was like a sad shredded lobster salad. the truffle fries were also really disappointing, the cheese wasn't even melted over. the best part of the meal was the complementary brioche bread. the food here was more like two stars, and the additional star comes from the beautiful decor and the lovely waiters. in the future, i will most likely choose to dine elsewhere before/after shopping at terrain. you don't have to eat at the cafe to shop! read more

The reviews here truly under-club this place! The ambiance and setting is very unique. Fake plants or not, it's a very different experience and we enjoyed it. This is such a cute store / café! Perfect spot for brunch with your mama or your besties. The storefront is adorable and has so much cute stuff perfect for gardening, gift giving, and much more! The café had delicious food from local farmers and you can tell just how fresh the food is because the you can taste the quality in every bite. We loved how allergy friendly it was, as my mom is both gluten free and dairy free. The drinks were also yummy and fresh! The ambiance of this place is beautiful - it has a modern boho vibe and does give a brunchy feel. We went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was super busy. There are a tons of vegetarian options available which I liked about. First off we started with complimentary bread and maple butter with some sea salt sprinkled on top. Upon reading the description of the burger I had high hopes, decided to add $2 for the eggs. I wanted to see the yolk oozing all it glory. The burger came out well done and dry not seasoned( when you give it the squeeze to see the juices) this burger needed a drink as it was dehydrated. We went here based on our daughter's recommendation and we loved it. It is a very cute place. We came right at opening on Sunday. Ambience is chic. Servers are friendly and helpful. I am really surprised why this has low review.may be because the options are not huge. However there are enough that I didn't feel like it was lacking. The bread they serve as on the house comes wi the flavored butter, and was fresh and tasty. Coffee was good. The tiny glass for milk was a nice touch. Highly recommend it. I've been wanting to visit a terrain Cafe for thr longest time because greenhouse restaurants are just the cutest with all of thr plants and natural light. We came with a reservation for Friday lunch and wow, this place was packed with ladies of all ages lunching. Food was standard, not bad, but doesn't blow your mind. Lives the flower pot bread. Also got some champagne because we were celebrating a friend's engagement. The free bread was the most inventive dish- a cute roll in a planter pot that tasted like fluffy brioche, and a sweet maple butter. The mushroom soup was thick, creamy, and great. The iced tea was a little fruitier and more sour than I would've liked. This place is horrible. We were put at a window table as we had requested a table in the middle. There were a lot ants crawling along the windows and the side of the table. So, we requested to make a change, the server helped. Then, coffee came. The coffee mug looked dirty like been used and were not cleaned. Coffee residuals all over outside of the mug and in the saucers. To avoid any possible issues, we didn't ask the waitress to make the change. Then, the salmon breakfast was horrible because the bread was terribly over toasted with bitter taste and was hard to chew. It seemed the piece of bread has been several days since it was made. The crab meat breakfast hardly to see any crab meat. The flat bread was dry and hard. If you think that was all the experiences we had, I you were wrong. The server brought a box for me to take the leftovers. THE BOX WAS USED WITH OIL STAINS . This time we did ask to get another one. We did leave tips, which we should not! I ordered the Shrimp & Heirloom Grits and the only flavor came from the jalapeño honey drizzle. Otherwise it was bland and the grits were really watery. Wow- really surprising to find such a beautiful place kind of in the middle of nowhere. The restaurant is next to a small garden center and is filled with plants / flowers - it looks great. We came for lunch and had a sort of semi brunch menu. This restaurant seems cool and aesthetic, you can eat your meal in a greenhouse, until you realize all the plants are fake. For the outrageous price of the food, you'd expect them to have real plants. I ordered the terrain breakfast with eggs over easy and when they brought out the eggs they were scrambled, when they tried to fix the error they brought the eggs out over hard, as the yoke was completely cooked. The manager did provide us with a free dessert and new eggs actually cooked over easy. As far as the quality of food, I the terrain breakfast came with unseasoned and undercooked fried potatoes, breakfast sausage that you would find in a military chow hall, and a handful of greens thrown on top of the eggs in an unappealing way. Aside from the fact that the greens do not match with the rest of the meal, they had the smallest dollop of dressing so they were completely dry. I would not recommend this to anyone who enjoys good food and fair prices. If you only care about the surface level visuals then you may enjoy this restaurant. Frankly I cannot get the restaurant off my mind, I cannot believe I paid these absurd prices to sit in a fake greenhouse surrounded by plastic plants and eat food that was beyond mediocre. First the good ++ Ambiance and decor is amazing ++ The mule, the shakshukha and French toast was delicious. We especially enjoyed the French toast. The fruits and granola was yummy -- the bloody Mary tasted more like a smoothie vs a cocktail -- the quinoa frites was a bit bland to my liking and I had to squeeze a lot of lime. I've been to the Glenn Mills location, which is prettier, quieter, and with much better food. This was quite the disappointment. It started out bad when the coffee served was tepid and bitter. They replaced the cup with another that was tepid and bitter. My friend's tea was hotter. The bread that was served comes to the table in a cute flower pot. The bread was over baked and very dry. I've had it at the other location and we couldn't get enough of it. On this occasion, one piece was enough. My friend has an onion allergy. If she eats onions, her esophagus swells and she ends up in the hospital. She mentioned that to the waitress at the start before ordering, and asked if there were any onions in a certain omelette. She was told no, so she ordered it. The plate came out with potatoes with onions in it and had to go back to the kitchen. They brought her out another omelette served with a double portion of greens. The greens were undressed, meaning no salad dressing, so were very dry and well, who wants a plate of dry greens?. I ordered the mushroom frittata, also served with greens that were undressed. The potatoes that came with it were not cooked all the way through. The frittata was dry and without seasoning. Service was not great. We couldn't wait to finish and get out of there. Seriously, go somewhere else. It's an expensive place for an unenjoyable meal. For a $50 breakfast, we should get something that we like. I can't think of a breakfast I liked less in quite awhile. And the fact that they didn't pay attention to an allergy is really inexcusable. Some friends and I came here for a weekday lunch! I accidentally parked on the garden side of the parking lot but was able to find the cafe quickly. I noticed how wonderful it smelled walking to the cafe. Inside we sat in the greenhouse area. It was so beautiful! Our waitress was very nice and attentive about my peanut allergy. We started off with the cheese and fruit board and added some prosciutto. I was happy for once that a cheese board didn't come with any nuts so I don't have to worry about cross contamination. Every cheese was explained when the board arrived. We also got flower pot bread which came with a seasonal pomegranate butter. Delish!! It was enough to split between the 6 of us. We each got a variety of brunch dishes from fried avocado Benedict, breakfast hash and burgers. I got the burger and added bacon. I upgraded my fries to truffle Parmesan! It was a rainy Saturday evening, but that didn't stop my friend and I from visiting Terrain Cafe to celebrate her birthday. I am completely flabbergasted by this restaurant. Everything was incredible from start to finish. I was nervous that a 5:00 reservation would mean we'd be in a cramped setting, but boy, was I wrong. We basically had the place to ourselves for about 45 mins to an hour before other guests started rolling in. Our server was Emily. She was a pleasure and didn't miss a beat. We started our night with drinks - the hibiscus margarita caught my eye. It was unique and unlike anything I've ever had before, but I enjoyed it very much. Appetizers were also in our plan, so I ordered the quinoa fritters. I was expecting them to have a falafel-type texture but they were crispy and airy instead. Packed with flavor and the za'atar spiced yogurt complimented them nicely. Another waiter came around with the most adorable complimentary loaves of bread in plant pots, paired with a blueberry jam butter. I could have died happy at this point. The bread was warm and fluffy, the butter perfectly decadent. The fried cauliflower sandwich was amazing! I was so stuffed and could only eat half. The caper parsley aioli really outdid itself, and the cauliflower was generously seasoned and fried golden brown. Top that off with a brioche bun and you have yourself a delicious sandwich. Last but not least, dessert. If you're on the fence about the Meyer Lemon Bar, get it. It was basically a little piece of summer in front of me, topped with blueberry compote. So refreshing and each bite melted in my mouth. I'm sad I didn't come here sooner, but lucky to have experienced this magical place at least once in my life. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is quite tasty, HOWEVER, if you are curious the establishment uses SUNFLOWER oil (quite the caveat for such nutritious food) and will not cook your dish in olive oil or butter-- even if you ask, and they have olive oil in the menu. This is disappointing, especially if you're like me and are sensitive to PUFAs or oxidized oils-- which are prone to going rancid. read more

The house made bread (baked in adorable terracotta pots) and agave lavender butter was so good and perfect for summer! For my entree I ordered the Oishii Shrimp. The service could use some work. We had to wait awhile for our drinks, food, and even for our order to be taken. The restaurant wasn't even crowded. The food is okay. The cheeseboard had a good variety of cheese, fruits, and spreads. For the entree, I got steak frites. The sauce on the steak was great! But my steak wasn't cooked properly so the texture was off. The fries were fine. The strawberry bourbon fizz was good, with a nice balance of all elements. The ambiance is perfect for a date night with the greenhouse garden vibes. Such a cute brunch place - the interior design is amazing! It feels like you're dining inside a conservatory with all the crazy plant decorations. This is a full experience. They start you off with a complimentary bread served in a planter along with a fruit infused butter. When we were there, the butter flavor was orange. (Delicious!) They change up the butter flavor once in awhile. I ordered the Farro Bowl which included arugula, eggs, big stick of halloumi cheese, tomato, mushroom, and sweet potato. I've recently taken an interest in farro but not a lot of place serves it so I was excited to see they have it on the menu. If you're lactose, highly recommend taking your lactaid pill before you bite into that huge stick of halloumi. I had a stomach ache for awhile afterwards which was my own fault. My friend ordered the breakfast board and it was served in a board! Everything here is so aesthetically pleasing I had so much fun looking at everyone else's dishes. [Blackberry refresher]: This drink was not sweeten, so you may have to add your own sweetener, but overall it was really refreshing to clear your mouth after you finish your meal. [Blackberry white mocha latte]: I didn't tasted really strong blackberry taste or white chocolate, but the overall flavor was harmonized and very smooth taste. [Beef Coulotte]: they cooked the beef pretty good, it was soft & tender. The presentation was really beautiful & colorful, but I think it's a bit pricy compare to its portion. [Harvest bowl]: MUST TRY DISH!!! Everything in this bowl was really good individually or all together. This is a vegan dish but you can add protein (I added chicken).
