    Old tarnished silver plate.

Miss the Dilworthtown so much and was so excited to try the Pear for lunch. Beautiful inside and service was excellent. We started with the cracker jacks. Interesting concept, poor execution. Too many unpopped kernels. Still a nice surprise on the menu. Partner had pasta, the lamb bolognese. Was the best he's had. But it left him wanting more. It was served in a bowl the size he uses for his Cheerios. I had the perfect "pearing ". A cup of the best butternut squash soup a small salad and half a grilled cheese both better than average plus a small cheesecake. This classic spot in beautiful Chester county is back! Just not sure why they are using silver plated flatware.

Cute bar and restaurant with plenty of parking and easy to walk to. Well done decor and great atmosphere. We only stopped in for drinks. However, the food that was coming out of the kitchen looked great. Another patron at the bar who was a regular shared that they have the best brunch. The bar staff were very friendly and polite. They were also attentive. There is a TV so could watch sports while sitting at the bar. The craft cocktails were delicious and well thought out concoctions. We order the Almost Delco which is a pear martini that they are well known for. We also had One Thing Led To Another which was a tasty and a great dessert drink. The star of our visit was a drink called Half Dressed. The flavors were awesome and the marrying of flavor with presentation was on point. The bell pepper flavor is terrific. I wish they made this drink in a candle as the aroma is so refreshing. This is a great place to grab food and drinks. We will be returning!

Celebrated my Mom's 71st birthday at The Pear last night. Service was stellar! The manager and our server made the evening very special and memorable. The food, while each plate was delicious, was a bit pricy especially my 8 year old son's cheeseburger which was charged at the full price and he didn't get all the items listed, just fries and the burger. The plate portions were also on the smaller side, but still delicious! We started with the hummus & special buffalo chicken dip for the table. The chips, similar to a dorito, were very tasty and well seasoned. Entrees were yummy: roasted chicken, budda bowl, burger, etc. All delicious, just a bit small than we're used to at an upscale, quality establishment. Dessert, last bites, were incredible. And, they comped the birthday girls dessert, which was a nice touch. Plus my Mom is vegan, so they made something special, which was really sweet. All in all we'll be back, especially for a cocktail.

Crudo and olive assortment (with a "Brie" like cheese - very tasty)

This is a wonderful establishment tucked away right outside of Westchester. The service was awesome, vibe feels like a warm mother's hug. We had the hummus to start and it was absolutely bursting with flavor. The olives and cheese were pretty tasty as well. The appetizer that stole the show was the crudo, that is a MUST try for any new comer! The Wagyu burger is America blend and melts in your bite with each bite. My only thing is the bread was a little too flakey and fell apart pretty quick in my hands. Other than that the burger was phenomenal!

Let's start with the good.... nice service and atmosphere and potato latke was incredible (for an appetizer). My dad got the burger 25$!!!!!! He's a big burger guy and he gave it a 5/10 the bun of the burger was so soggy it ripped off I got the budda bowl 26!!!!! SMALLEST PORTIONS IVE EVER GOTTEN. The photo does it a lot of justice the description makes it sound like a bowl it was a cup only two pieces of cauliflower a tiny sliver of sweet potato and tiny piece of beet and 8 BUCKS! For a couple pieces of chicken. WITH TWO BRUSSEL SPROUTS! We are going somewhere else to eat because no one was full

Excellence American restaurants in dilworthtown. We came with a reservation on Friday night and the place was very busy. Service and seating were excellence and the ambiance perfect for a fun night out. The food was malicious and a mix of modern American and farm to table options. There were a decent amount of gluten-free options as well. We will definitely be back to visits and our favorite item up menu was the tacos.

Sat outside on the back patio for dinner. It was nice and quiet. Our food was delicious and service was wonderful! The kitchen is very allergy friendly.

    Tempora salmon and rice.

Great little place. First time back since it was The Blue Pear and not disappointed. Still miss the Dilworthtown Inn, but nice to be able to enjoy the Pear. Food is great and like the comfortable vibe of the place.

We didn't have reservations but were still able to sit outside on their enclosed patio with a tinkling fountain. We were delighted to find on a Wednesday that they were still having happy hour specials all day and even had a 3-course price fixed. My daughter and I loved the Gondola Ride with citrus vodka and limoncello. It was a refreshing, summertime drink. For the 3-course price fixed, we tried the lasagna noodle soup which was unique and delicious. My corn cappellacci (not on the price-fixed menu) was a new entree. The pasta was light and airy, and the corn and shrimp made it a tasty dish perfect for a summer night. For dessert, the gelato twist with banana was heavenly. Our lovely server even made sure to put a birthday candle in our daughter's dessert as it was her birthday. We'll be back!

The bartenders are the heart of the experience. They don't just pour drinks; they create them. There's real skill and artistry behind the bar, and the conversation is as good as the cocktails. You can tell they care about balance, technique, and presentation. The Walk in the Garden gin cocktail is the perfect example: bright, layered flavors, premium ingredients, and that lavender garnish that hits your nose before the first sip. The scent alone sets the stage for the drink. It's thoughtful, elegant, and exactly what a craft cocktail should be. The food holds its own right alongside the drinks. The skillet meatballs come out tender and full of flavor, the kind of dish that disappears faster than you expect. The potato skins are crisp, satisfying, and exactly what you want with a cocktail in hand. And the homemade Baileys cheesecake is the kind of dessert you plan to share but end up guarding with your fork. It's rich without being heavy, with that unmistakable homemade touch. One of the best parts of Hummingbird to Mars is the tapas-style menu. You can eat as much or as little as you want, a couple of small plates with drinks, or a full progression from appetizers to dessert. It gives you the freedom to shape the night however you want, without committing to oversized entrées or predictable bar food. And that's the bigger point: places like this don't happen by accident. They come from creativity, risk-taking, and a commitment to doing things well. If we don't support small businesses that put this level of care into their craft, we'll be left with nothing but the same chains serving the same menus everywhere you go. Hummingbird to Mars is the antidote to that; personal, inventive, and genuinely memorable. From the first sip to the last bite, it's a place that delivers an experience, not just a night out. It's worth supporting, worth returning to, and worth celebrating.

Shoutout to Christian! We went with a bigger party this time - total of 6. Would highly recommend reservations. Parking can be challenging but worth the work. Our server was gracious enough to have the temperature increased by a degree or two which was fine. We ordered the quiche and the mushroom crepe along with the french martini, mint julep and bloody mary. The drinks were fine and well presented. The mushroom crepe was also good, with a nice, flavorful thin crepe "boxing in" a firm and well-cooked egg. The quiche was nice and light but was fraught with way too much salt. The frisee that came with the quiche was so overdone with salt that it was inedible and you couldn't even taste the lardon bacon. We have not yet been here for dinner but would not recommend brunch as anything special. The service started out ok but then waned a bit once we ordered drinks. We literally had to wait patiently to even ask our server for coffee refills and more creamer. For a Sunday morning venue that should offer something distinctly different from the diner and coffee shop fare in North Wilmington, we were clearly disappointed.

We sat for dinner tonight and had Craig as our server. It was not crazy busy on a Tuesday night. We always love the quality of food. My husband had the filet mignon and I had the seafood ravioli. Both were amazing. We spilt the chopped salad and could not believe they charged $1.00 for splitting the $14 salad between the two of us. Really? After a $70 steak, you charge a splitting fee? The principle does not sit well with us. The service, unfortunately, was not what I expect. He did get tables all at once, which I understand, but we felt like our table of 'only' two was a burden. I really do not like leaving a restaurant feeling like that. All in all, the food is always amazing from a taste perspective. The bar experience for a couple cocktails is also always great. The manager had reached out to me on OpenTable and offered to send me a gift certificate to encourage me to come back, so we did that last night and our experience was AMAZING and truly one of the best meals we've ever had even with some of the sides, not being our favorite. We happened to have an entire area of the restaurant to ourselves and our waiter was attentive, gave great recommendations and was friendly. I had a piña colada sangria and a glass of sweet riesling, both of which were excellent. My boyfriend had two old fashions which he also really enjoyed. Once again, we were blown away by the appetizers. The crab dip is probably one of the best things you can get here. The grilled Caesar had excellent flavor and the shrimp were a good size. They were offering a special Wagyu steak that evening, which I decided to get and my boyfriend had the 12 ounce New York strip. This was my first time having Wagyu and it was cooked perfectly, medium rare to my liking and just melted in my mouth. We also ordered sides of plump crab meat so that we could top our steak with it, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and shredded brussels sprouts with bruschetta. While the mac & cheese and shredded Brussels left more to be desired, it didn't lessen our dining experience in the least. We ended dinner by sharing a delicious crème brûlée served with a biscotti (not picture because we ate it too fast!) If it hadn't been for the manager Michael teaching out to let me know he heard my feedback and offering a gift certificate to dine with them again, we probably wouldn't have come back, given this is about a 45 minute drive from the city. But I can honestly say that this experience completely changed our view of the restaurant and we will definitely be returning for future celebrations.

Those are the most important things for a brewery/taproom to get right, and Levante absolutely does. That said, the taproom can get very loud. If there's a band playing or bingo taking place, having a conversation can be tough. Some people like raucous bars, but I like to be able to shoot the breeze when I'm drinking and actively avoid these events. I also wish they worked with more food trucks that have at least one vegetarian option on the menu. Barbecue or glizzy trucks mean I'm going elsewhere to get my drink on. (A few years ago they ran their own top-notch pizza truck, and if they brought it back, I would probably try to move in.) Anyway, my complaints are minor.
