Dined here for the first time on a Monday and really enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is very nice, bright and airy, and with a great corner location looking out on Gay Street. The big square bar is also inviting. We were seated promptly and our server, who was fun and charming, came over right away. We had cocktails: a smoked "new" fashioned and a "Hugo", a prosecco based drink. Both lovely. For dinner we had the barramundi and the crab cakes and both were very good. We split the chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert and that was also nice. While not a part of the restaurant, I have to mention the downstairs "speakeasy", named 109. It is worth checking out. Dark and club like, but also decorated in various pop ups. Right now it's Valentine's themed. Fun. Overall a very enjoyable evening.

Fabulous NYE dinner with my beautiful wife, so glad we decided to follow her coworker's recommendation and got to enjoy a feast. We arrived a few minutes before the reservation time and were promptly greeted and seated. The service was exceptional and attentive all night, and we had a great time. I'm glad I followed our awesome server's recommendation and started with the oysters - so, so good. The cocktails and beer list were great, we really had a fabulous time, and we can't wait to get back.

Fourth time tonight and everything has been great! The bar service was a little backed up but our server let us know to go ahead and put in apps. The spicy salmon appetizer was SO good. Highly recommend, may have been my favorite thing. The scallops were fantastic as usual. My brother said the lobster roll was average but I always really like it. I was surprised how packed it was on a Tuesday but I guess that's because they're doing such a good job!

We visited a second time and checked out the speak easy which was cool. We both tried dishes off the specials menu and the scallop dish with horseradish cream sauce was exceptional. The halibut my husband got he liked but didn't love. We also got a side dish of the truffled creamed corn which we also thought was amazing.

The tuna poke bowl was delicious and spicy.

This year we decided to stay in the suburbs for my birthday dinner rather than pay for expensive parking in Philly. We decided to sit outdoors as the restaurant has a few sections in the front sectioned off with palm trees although inside looked lively and fun too. Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything, and my family told her it was my birthday. I really appreciated her asking! My daughter and I started with a delicious cocktail. I had the Silver Spritz made with Bulltown Vodka and Aperol. My daughter enjoyed a Salt Aire and loved the hint of cucumber. For dinner, my husband ordered Marinated Roasted Airline Chicken Breast which he said was tasty, and my daughter loved the Tuna Poke although she said it was spicy. Fortunately, we had two carafes of water on our table. I ordered the Pan Seared Barramundi which was a large piece of barramundi along with scallops, shrimp, and middleneck clams. The broth and baby potatoes which accompanied it were delicious, and I ended up using a spoon to enjoy each bite with broth. I didn't know my husband had asked for a candle in our dessert. If I had, i would have ordered dessert. However, our lovely server brought over complimentary Prosecco to end our meal. A classy touch!

I loved this place!! 10 of us came here the morning after my wedding (out of town friends- their first time in West Chester) our server was wonderful. He was so helpful, kind, and patient with us. We got a ton of food, apps, and alcohol. Our server asked if it was a special occasion and gave all of us a champagne toast. The bloody marys here were wonderful! All of the food was fantastic too. I had the crab omlette and it was full of lump crab meat, I also loved the deviled eggs which also had crab, and the oysters were very good. I will definitely be back! Worth a visit and a beautiful space

Charming new location in the borough of West Chester. Located inside the new Indigo hotel across the town parking deck is a newish restaurant right on Gay Street. Nicely decorated and large venue with huge bar with plenty of stools for happy hour seating. We got oysters to start all yummy. The fish special was well executed and beautifully served. Selection of local beers on tap and the bar made my friend a duck fat washed bourbon old fashioned which the server smoked table side. Solid service and good food.

Delicious dinner, attentive server in a warm inviting atmosphere. Started with the Hugo Spritz, half doz oysters and the calamari. All were exceptional. Next the shaved brussel salad and lobster bucatini. Even better than the apps. We toasted to our delicious meal and finished with chocolate cake. Our girls night out was spectacular, all thanks to West Chester Seafood kitchen!

Wow what can I say?! Our evening was unforgettable. The space is big and the tables are far apart making your dining experience more intimate with your personal crew, which I really enjoyed. Our server, Claire, offered some delicious recommendations, was very attentive, and wonderfully personable. And the food? To die for! So fresh and flavorful. Beware this meal will be on the pricier side but know that it's worth it!

This is hands down the best restaurant in West Chester! Consistently excellent food, drinks, ambience, and service. The bar is a rectangle wrap-around bar (not many of these in WC) which makes socializing easy and relaxing at the bar nice. They recently opened an outdoor seating area for the summer as well. There is a speakeasy in the basement of the building (under the indigo hotel) too. The seafood is VERY fresh, definitely recommend the Tuna Poke bowl, spicy salmon app, and the seafood tower.

This place is always a win! To start, the atmosphere is fantastic! Upscale and beautifully decorated. Great for a date night or night out on the town with friends. My husband and I have been here twice (we leave the kids at home with a babysitter for this restaurant). The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable from the hosts/servers/managers. I am obsessed with the spicy salmon crispy rice appetizer. The calamari is good too. I usually go for one of the fish specials. They seem to always be changing, but are always great. My husband got the seared tuna. It was a nice portion and the fish was melt in your mouth. This time I got the crab cake. It was good, but I would probably stick with the fish specials from now on. Nice chunks of crab vs filled with breading. Cocktails were delicious and they even printed a fun Halloween design on it. Don't pass on this place, it's amazing!!! Also check out the speak easy in the basement before or after.

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.

We received 3-4 ounces of fish and the rest of the plate was filled with mashed potatoes. Even the toppings were slim. My husband had a mango salsa on his that was barely there. I was suppose to have a soy glaze - could not taste it whatsoever. It wasn't surprising after looking at my dish before digging in. I wish I would have snapped some pictures. I do not recall the entrees being like this before and sure enough after looking at some reviews with pictures, something is definitely going on. The dishes use to be bigger and better.

The bartender at the time was particularly very friendly and I could tell he gave off the same vibe to everyone. As I left this bar with a friend, one of the (assumedly) local patrons was telling us we should've purposely nudged a guy seated so that we could more easily leave the bar instead of slowly crossing over. That particular patron looked back at the first guy very annoyed. The first guy was probably already at least semi-drunk and just kept trying to go on with his "joke". Another thing that surprises me is that this bar is closed all day Sunday and that they open at 8 AM according to the Yelp page and stay open until 2 AM. Those are mad hours This coming Sunday, there was a big game with Eagles versus the 49ers. I've never heard of a bar open so early in the morning and not open on Sundays. Not open on Sunday because a lot of regular church-goers in the area, or the staff need a break and maybe they would want to go to church? Reminds me of Chik-Fil-A without the super late hours and instead of family friendly style food and drink and chicken icon, booze instead. There were no smokers when me and my friend were there. I was thankful for that. It looks like PA started to ban smoking in all bars in 2021. Personally, don't miss it! I already have a hard enough time breathing and sleeping without being around that stuff! No food at this establishment. Quality drinks on tap and reasonable prices. Nice staff.
