Crab cake sandwich (just ok, lacked flavor and a little over done)

Beautiful spot in downtown West Chester. The calamari was good and I'm glad they were able to bring me some aioli even thought the menu says it's served with a marinara. The firecracker shrimp was not good... too deep fried and the flavor was one note, not what we expected. My husband also got the Cesar salad with shrimp and honestly I don't think that is a $23 dish. Finally, I got some blue point oysters and enjoyed them but they were lacking the kick from the horseradish.

Stopped in for Oysters and dinner. We found two seats at the bar and were given menus. We ordered a dozen oysters and they were all excellent. For dinner we ordered the salmon salad and the lobster roll. The salmon salad was huge and tasted fresh. The lobster roll was very chewy and had a strong fishy taste. The fries that came with the lobster roll were hot but were greasy liked they sat in oil. Service was good, and the hostess, bartender and food runner were all friendly. The indoor and outside dining was nice. We may come back but just for the oysters and drinks.

Greystone $1 oysters are some of the best I've ever had. We regularly make the trip to West Chester to indulge in their house beers, tasty drinks, and $1 oysters (on Mondays!) The service is always friendly and the ambiance is always nice. I love the big windows facing the street and the chic and clean decor. Though I've visited several times, I rarely stray from the oysters. The calamari was good, and I think we've dabbled in the french fries, which were also tasty! You really can't beat the $1 oysters, though. They're meaty, fresh, and delicious. Street parking is plentiful, and in the evening, there is usually a free public garage not far from here. While I can't attest to the other foods they offer, I'm always down to clown for dollar oysters at Greystone!

One of our favorite restaurants in WC! The seafood was fresh and delicious. Our server was amazing. Reasonable prices, great quality. We loved everything (oysters, lobster roll, seafood pasta, seafood soup, tuna steak).

This was first visit to Graystone for dinner. The restaurant is split into 2 half's, one being a first come first serve bar area with seating and the second being a sit down restaurant which takes reservations. The whole restaurant itself is bustling with energy and as such can be quite loud at times. The service is both friendly and attentive. The raw bar offerings are the highlights of the menu while the appetizers, salads & entrées could be hit or miss. For a drink options there is an excellent list of local craft beers & wines seem to all have been from local wineries. This is certainly a great place to go with friends and to have a fun & festive evening full of raw bar offerings, cocktails, and libations but not if you're seeking a romantic evening out.

worst. filet. ever. started out decent, i ordered the golden spicy marg which was delish but my bf got the smoked blood orange old fashioned which tasted like water and bourbon. we got the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer which was really good. the shrimp was breaded but thin and crispy which was really good, and the sauce was great. then our food came . i got the filet which looked like it was a kids meal. there was a steamed vegetable medley (seasonless) when i was told i was getting asparagus and fried breakfast style potatoes when it said roasted. the steak was incredibly salty. and i love salt, but it was so salty that it hurt my mouth by the end. my boyfriends burger had no flavor and was dry. he even added bacon to the burger (because our waiter tried to upsell everything) and it still had no flavor. i think it's a great place for drinks and appetizers. what are the odds we just happened to get the worst 2 entrees, so i think maybe it's not a place for a full meal unless you want oysters

Our server was very slow and un attentive. The oysters and app came out in a reasonable time however our actual meal took forever and our server was nowhere to be found. When our dinner did come out, it was in to go boxes?? Why would we come to sit for dinner to have our meals to go? So it took even longer for us to receive our meal in plates instead of boxes we didn't ask for. It was the strangest thing and there was no apology from our server for the mishap. What was suppose to be a nice monthly date night, turned sour as we were then late for our movie reservations after. We used to love it here and now we probably won't return.

We did the happy hour menu instead of restaurant week as the price seemed kind of steep for what they were offering. We got a dozen oysters, Brussel sprouts, elote, and clam chowder. The oysters were fresh and I like the sauces it came with. The elote was on the cobb so it's hard to share and the clam chowder were good but nothing too special. The only thing that really stood out was the brussel sprouts because they were crispy and the vinaigrette and cheese were a nice addition. I probably wouldn't return because it's out of the way for me but decent food.

Outstanding! Went for an early dinner/birthday celebration. There were 6 of us and we enjoyed a variety of cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious. I had a bourbon based espresso drink with orange bitters...it was awesome and strong! Good thing I wasn't driving! I had the cooked oyster sampler (even though I prefer raw ones...I decided to try something different). Each one was wonderful; I oddly liked the fried oysters the best. Decadent! My main course was the salmon special that was served with asparagus, mashed potatoes and stuffed with crabmeat. I asked for the salmon the be as rare as possible....it was perfection. And a huge portion. I have no idea how much it cost, however, we split the check in thirds (again-for six people), and the total was $144/couple before tip. That's with multiple cocktails, appetizers and entrees. Then, they brought out a gigantic piece of cheesecake for our birthday friend that we all sampled...even that was good. Fabulous spot for a special meal.

The bartender at the time was particularly very friendly and I could tell he gave off the same vibe to everyone. As I left this bar with a friend, one of the (assumedly) local patrons was telling us we should've purposely nudged a guy seated so that we could more easily leave the bar instead of slowly crossing over. That particular patron looked back at the first guy very annoyed. The first guy was probably already at least semi-drunk and just kept trying to go on with his "joke". Another thing that surprises me is that this bar is closed all day Sunday and that they open at 8 AM according to the Yelp page and stay open until 2 AM. Those are mad hours This coming Sunday, there was a big game with Eagles versus the 49ers. I've never heard of a bar open so early in the morning and not open on Sundays. Not open on Sunday because a lot of regular church-goers in the area, or the staff need a break and maybe they would want to go to church? Reminds me of Chik-Fil-A without the super late hours and instead of family friendly style food and drink and chicken icon, booze instead. There were no smokers when me and my friend were there. I was thankful for that. It looks like PA started to ban smoking in all bars in 2021. Personally, don't miss it! I already have a hard enough time breathing and sleeping without being around that stuff! No food at this establishment. Quality drinks on tap and reasonable prices. Nice staff. From a neighborhood bar, can you ask for anything more?

Do not park in the lot next to the building because it is for the US Postal Service and your vehicle will be towed. There is a parking garage around the corner on the corner of Walnut and Chestnut Streets. The cost is 25 cents for every 15 minutes. We ordered an Old-Fashioned with Woodford and a Blueberry Shaker. The Blueberry Shaker was only 3 dollars more than the regular drink and it yielded a total of 4 drinks for my partner. The drinks were good. For our meals we had the Steak and Shrimp Bourbon, Bourbon Street Burger, and a side Caesar Salad. Everything tasted very good. The decor is New Orleans Style although not completely authentic. There is a beer garden for those who want a less formal atmosphere. The hostess was incredibly good at her job. She was very friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed her service. First, my girlfriend and I arrived to the restaurant. We requested a specific table, and the host was gracious enough to do so. We then waited 8 minutes before our table was even touched, and it was just our (server? No intro, nothing) ASKING us if we'd like water. We say yes, and then waited an additional 5 minutes just to receive water in PLASTIC cups. Again, this person never told us his name, and we weren't even sure if he was taking our order or not. He appeared to be about 18, and was most certainly high Then, we requested glasses, and since it had been 15+ minutes since we sat down, said we were ready to order when we got the glasses. The guy took our order. We both got cocktails, which also took about 10 minutes. Finally, our appetizer came. We weren't even halfway through before the entrees came, we probably had about 10 minutes to finish it. This all could have been negated if our order was taken correctly, and things could have been staggered correctly. The "two bite" check occurred within 30 seconds of our food being dropped, and by then I hadn't even touched my food. It was way too early and felt like he was just trying to get it out of the way. At that point both my girlfriend and I were just ready to eat and we said everything was fine. I had to ask the guy for a bag on the way out, rather than him giving me one after our food was put into 3 boxes. I want to be empathetic of whatever was going on at The Social that Sunday. Yet, if you are going to make your steak $42, the service needs to justify that price. I will not be going back to The Social, and encourage their management to speak to their server who flubbed the ENTIRETY of my experience there. Myself and my girlfriend both work in the service / restaurant industry, and we know what good service is. We also understand that there are bad days. This was just abysmal. 4/10.
