Eggplant Parm
Eva B.

LaScala's was decent, i prefer some of the existing local restaurants if I'm being completely honest. We got the artichoke starter and the flavor was good but it was drowning in oil which was not, I could only have a few pieces cuz it would have made me feel sick. I got the eggplant parm for my entree and it was tasty. The pasta and sauce were very good, the eggplant was also good but I would have liked it to be crispier, it was also quite oily. Our server was very nice and the food came out quite fast. The menu is pretty big so I would go back and maybe try other things that are not fried! (Still confused about the sushi menu though...)

Sushi

There was a group of us here for lunch. The meatballs were good. I didn't like the cold ricotta against the warm meatballs. The chopped salad was delicious. I had the short rib panini which was cook very well. The onions were caramelized and very flavorful. Generally an Italian restaurant with sushi on the menu. Good meal, good service and good atmosphere. Clean bathrooms, would clean the filter

Yum! The service, food and atmosphere here is inviting. My favorite dishes at this restaurant are the brussel sprouts and truffle fries!

Had a delicious dinner here last weekend!! Had the crispy artichokes which were incredible and the burrata board- deff do not skip these! The clams and linguine was amazing. The service was attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back to try the sushi and pizza! Such a cool spot with all the TVs set up !

This is a nice restaurant, but the food was not very good. The wait staff was friendly and my drink…read morewas ok. I had the Della Chef salad and I tried my best to eat it but it was not edible. They brought us bread with no butter or olive oil. We had to ask for the olive oil. The bread tasted stale and wasn't very good at all. We started with the Brussel sprouts and they were just mid. Nothing exciting about them. They drowned my salad in dressing. Way, way, way too much dressing. If they used half the dressing that was on there, it would have been too much. My tongue was hurting after 3 bites. I really wanted to like this place, but the food just did not hit. I'm giving 2 stars because the waitress was awesome and the ambiance of the place was great.

Our server was awesome, she was able to elegantly go over the vast number of appetiser and main food additions, without having to refer to any notes. I had the calamari salad. It was very good. Nice balance of flavours, arugula and shaved Parmesan, with just the perfect amount of dressing. For my main entree, I chose one of the special additions, Fettuccini dish that included, muscles, nice size shrimp and olives. This dish was amazing! I couldn't finish it all. Can't wait to enjoy the next day! They also have a nice cocktail and wine menu. I got a dirty martini with blue cheese olives, yum! Overall, a great experience. Nice casual atmosphere, a great server, manager and support staff. I can't wait to go back again.

It's always a treat to find a beautiful tasting room serving decent California wines right here in…read morePennsylvania. While it's a bit of a trek for us, it's the perfect halfway point to meet up with friends. My husband and I enjoyed the red wine flight and ended up sharing a bottle of the Shiraz, which was drinkable and good. The food menu is surprisingly extensive--whether you're looking for a full meal or just some tapas to pair with your wine, they've got you covered. We didn't eat this time since we weren't hungry, but everything looked and smelled fantastic. The owners are welcoming and knowledgeable, which added to the great experience. My only complaint is the corkage fee if you choose to enjoy a bottle on-site. This is only the second time I've ever encountered a corkage fee at a tasting room, and we've visited many across some of the world's most renowned wine regions. It's a bit puzzling, especially in a relaxed setting like this. None of the Pennsylvania wineries do this but this tasting room and a tasting room in West Chester do and it's really obnoxious. But the good news is the prices at this tasting room are affordable and they don't charge a credit card fee! That said, we'd definitely come back. Great wine, great atmosphere, and a lovely place to spend an afternoon.

My wife and I stopped in here on a Thursday night for their "pizza and a carafe of wine for $30"…read morespecial, which I believe is every Thursday night (for the quality of pizza and wine, a steal and a half if you ask me). The first pizza and carafe was so good that we stayed for another round! The pizzas were a decent size and had great flavor. Not overly greasy, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh. Plus the crust was perfectly charred. One pizza may be enough for 2 people, but I'd order a pizza per person to be safe. The wine was great too. They clearly are wine experts and take pride in a sophisticated wine selection. The carafe contains enough for two heavy pours. The restaurant was trendy and had a good vibe to it. There was plenty of seating and we walked in and got seated right away. There appears to be event space available for rent. The service was awesome. Everyone was nice and checked in on us multiple times throughout the meal. I'll definitely be coming back here.

An unforgettable dining experience!…read more Mercato absolutely blew us away from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm, energetic, and full of life -- the kind of place that makes you feel like you're part of something special the moment you walk in. It was busy (a great sign!), but the service never missed a beat. Our waitress was incredible -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every detail was perfect. She went above and beyond to make our meal an experience, not just dinner. And the food? Simply amazing. Every dish was beautifully prepared and bursting with flavor -- fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced, and plated with care. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in their craft. Between the buzzing atmosphere, outstanding service, and phenomenal food, Mercato has easily become one of my favorite spots. We can't wait to go back!

The vibe is there -- the food isn't quite. This spot has…read moregenuine charm, the interior is lively and well-designed, and the energy makes you want to enjoy yourself. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't keep up with the atmosphere on our visit. We ordered the fig pizza, the marinara pizza, and a spinach salad. The fig pizza sounded promising (hot honey, fig compote, prosciutto, burrata) but the sweetness was overwhelming. There was no balance to pull it back. The marinara was more straightforward, though an overly generous hand with the tomato sauce left it quite wet. The spinach salad was the most disappointing: heavily overdressed, with soggy butternut squash and walnut chunks that felt more like an afterthought than an intentional addition. For a place with this much personality, the food execution should to match.
