The cheeseboard had a good variety of cheese, fruits, and spreads. For the entree, I got steak frites. The sauce on the steak was great! But my steak wasn't cooked properly so the texture was off. The fries were fine. The strawberry bourbon fizz was good, with a nice balance of all elements. The ambiance is perfect for a date night with the greenhouse garden vibes. Such a cute brunch place - the interior design is amazing! It feels like you're dining inside a conservatory with all the crazy plant decorations. This is a full experience. They start you off with a complimentary bread served in a planter along with a fruit infused butter. When we were there, the butter flavor was orange. (Delicious!) They change up the butter flavor once in awhile. I ordered the Farro Bowl which included arugula, eggs, big stick of halloumi cheese, tomato, mushroom, and sweet potato. I've recently taken an interest in farro but not a lot of place serves it so I was excited to see they have it on the menu. If you're lactose, highly recommend taking your lactaid pill before you bite into that huge stick of halloumi. I had a stomach ache for awhile afterwards which was my own fault. My friend ordered the breakfast board and it was served in a board! Everything here is so aesthetically pleasing I had so much fun looking at everyone else's dishes. [Blackberry refresher]: This drink was not sweeten, so you may have to add your own sweetener, but overall it was really refreshing to clear your mouth after you finish your meal. Three friends from college and I visited for the first time as a mid-way meetup point for lunch. We chose it because the menu and ambiance looked promising! We sat in the enclosed outdoor spot- like a greenhouse. The decor and garden vibe were cute, but my seat had the sun right in my eyes the entire time, so I had to cover my eyes/squint. It got pretty hot too, despite ceiling fans (though it was a warmer day today, 50s). I arrived slightly late coming from work, just in time to order. Our water was not that cold, and never refilled, even after I asked the server. My friends all tried the Snickerdoodle Latte (iced). The flavor was good but when the drinks arrived, the coffee was still hot at the bottom, with the ice on top- not a great first sip! But it was tasty once it was mixed/cooled. The bread baked in the flowerpot was unique and cute, served with a lightly fruity/floral salted butter. Yummy!!! I ordered the shakshuka and really enjoyed it! The bread was starting to get a little soggy from the sauce when it arrived, and I wish it came with more bread, but the flavors were absolutely delicious. One friend ordered the Wild Mushroom Frittata and found the goat cheese to all be in one clump of the frittata. We went to the Terrain Cafe in Devon for my daughter's graduation brunch. My husband went to their Glen Mills location and really liked the ambience and the food. We chose their outdoor tented seating area, which was so nice because they had ceiling fans, and nice breeze was blowing in from the outside. The service was good, and efficient. The food was excellent! I highly encourage their cheese board, and breakfast board, I did not think I was that hungry, but I polished my breakfast board after gulping down some of the cheese board food, and their awesome bread (in the plant clay pot) with their avocado lime butter. Their cocktail drinks were equally delicious! We got their strawberry rhubarb mimosa, violette bouquet, lavender lush, and the Devi. After we ate we browsed in their nursery and purchased some plants. They have some nice selections of trees, plants, plant pots, and garden accessories. Came here to take my mama out for brunch. As always, the atmosphere is beautiful, but food is mediocre. Some items are a hit, but for the prices, there really shouldn't be any misses. The worst dessert I've ever had at any restaurant (no exaggeration) was from here. The terrarium dessert was $12 for soggy/stale matcha "crumble" and dry old cake. Legit tasted like a refrigerator. Mushroom soup tasted like a salty paste. The 3 of us shared the soup but still could only finish about 1/5 of it because it was so gross. I have been to many a brunch spots, and Terrain is always in my top! Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere is just as cool! The greenhouse is so sunny and has high ceilings and great social distancing during these COVID times. They update their cocktail list and menu seasonally. I loved their pear prosecco cocktail in the fall. Last week, I tried the cranberry mimosa for the first time and it was amazing! It is tart, but not too sweet, which I love. My favorite things to order here are the smoked salmon toast (I add an egg) and the frittata. You also have to get the truffle fries for the table! They are seriously amazing. The chocolate terrarium for dessert has the coolest presentation and it tastes amazing! Definitely a must try. Overall, this is a great place for a special occasion brunch! We came here for Mother's Day as I have always wanted to try it. I go to the garden center quite a bit and said that once day I would try the restaurant. But was very disappointed that the food was just not good. Flavor profiles were strange to the point there was No flavor. I tried the shrimp And grits and the honey drizzle just made it taste strange and misplaced. Everything seemed fresh in the farm to table spirit but it was just very bland. My mother's omelette was not warm and underwhelming. I have had better coffee at Wawa. I get that the owner is trying to create what his ex-wife famously did with her farm to table restaurants (she was the first to introduce this concept many years ago) but this just misses the mark. Nice atmosphere except the outside area was still cold even with heaters. Need to have a better option if closing it when necessary. Came in for Sunday brunch with a 12:15 reservation. It took 15 minutes to be sat, which was a long time for having a reservation but we understand that the restaurant is busy. However, we sat for 10 minutes without being talked to for drinks, and had to wait another 10 minutes after that before a server came by to take our food order. As someone who works in a restaurant, that lack of service and care for customers is inexcusable and something I did not expect from such a popular restaurant. We didn't even get the complementary bread that every table is supposed to get. Our server did not seem to care whatsoever when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the slow service. Came here for lunch with three other people. First off all, let me say that I loved the atmosphere in here! It's so wonderful. Brought and open with plants everywhere. I would enjoy being there every day. We were offered two types of water for our table. We were also given bread baked in flower pots. It was so cute! The butter that came with it was delicious. I don't even know what all was in it but it was great. Lots of options for lunch including brunch items. My daughter and I both got the French toast which was fantastic. I don't mind saying I ate every bite. The other two people in our party got salad and they both really liked them. I love that they have a daily iced tea. I got a berry tea which was very good. Unique place to eat! Would definitely say it is on the pricier side but is a nice treat! Have been twice, once for brunch and once for dinner. Brunch service was a bit more my speed but dinner was also great! Their brioche bread is delicious, served in a terra cotta pot, and can be enjoyed plain but also comes with a flavored butter. During my brunch visit it was a sea salt strawberry butter - yum! For dinner it was a cinnamon butter which was good, but not remarkable. Decor/vibe is amazing and very on brand. Servers are definitely well versed in upselling items on the menu. The oishii Shrimp was good, but the highlights for dinner were definitely the cranberry nectar fizz (non-alcoholic drink) and the chocolate terrarium dessert. This wasn't my first time at Terrain Cafe and it certainly won't be my last. I always love brunch here and usually go for the terrain breakfast which is a classic American breakfast. This time I ventured out and got the shakshuka and I'm glad I did! It was very heartwarming and seasoned well. The sourdough toast was toasted perfectly for dipping. Eggs were poached to perfection and I cleaned my plate! Other people in my party got the terrain breakfast (a classic choice) and the short ribs and eggs which got rave reviews. Our waitress was very nice but forgot to put in our drinks until after our food came out. Food was served nice and hot though. I love the decor and the overall vibe of this place. We came in for a mid afternoon drink and snack. The bar area was dirty - cappucino machine, touch pad, counters, etc. When drinks were being made the employee put her fingers into each cup. The condiments for the drinks were uncovered. Employees were putting them into drinks with their bare hands. There was milk sitting on the counter next to the cappucino machine (no ice, nothing). No sanitation gel anywhere to be seen. There was another employee who came through the area a few times and keep putting her hands in her hair and then touching cups, etc. A woman and her daughter were seated next to us and made the same observations. The restaurant was fairly busy for a weekday afternoon, but we had a reservation and were quickly seated in their heated outdoor tent. It was adorable inside and felt super cozy and not at all like sitting outside. We loved the smell of the fire coming from the garden center as well. The service was very good. We ordered hot drinks - the honey tea au lait for me and a latte for my friend. I absolutely love the honey tea every time! The pot of bread with special butter is also always a winner for me. For entrees, we shared the apple grilled cheese and the farro bowl. They were both good, but I have to say nothing particularly special. Wow, this was such a let down. The food was good but our group went through a struggle to get it. Our group of 5 arrived together a few minutes early for our 12:45 lunch res. We milled around the store for about 15 then came back to still no table. The other women dining were NOT leaving and seeing a group standing, waiting did not translate to "I better finish up." The young girls working the place said they would prefer to not push tables together because it would be tricky to serve us? We were 30+ minutes waiting for a table that we actually reserved two weeks ago. How about doing a little better, employees? We were also offered a free coffee at 1:15pm that required us to go over to the bartender, explain what was going on and pick a coffee out. Not worth it and we were antsy and tired. When we finally sat down, they were courteous enough to give us a complementary $12 hummus platter for our 45 minute wait. Food/burger were very yummy but the service was absolutely nothing special. The girl running food seemed out of it and brought the wrong dish to one of us. An indifferent apology and five minutes later, the correct platter was brought over but only after we had the "please eat!" "No, we'll wait!" conversation. I try not to make my reviews extensively long but my ordeal here was pretty disgraceful. The inside was gorgeous and the food was good but absolutely not worth the service and the loudness inside the restaurant. Please, PLEASE just try Amis which is next door instead. Or better yet, support some of the local restaurants up the street in Wayne after shopping at the URBN Terrain/Anthro complex. read more

A little out of my way, but when a friend and I decided to attend a workshop at Anthropologie next door, we made brunch reservations. The day was gorgeous and the workshop ended early. We walked over to the cafe unsure if they would take us, luckily they did. They not only have a greenhouse cafe but outdoor seating as well as high tables near the entrance. We really came to check out the nature and cool store and beautiful plants and flowers. It was rather hot today.
