Went to Napa Kitchen and Wine for a recent dinner. We were quickly greeted and shown to our table. The server took a little while to make their introduction - but that pattern kept up throughout the meal - sometimes coming over when they were just with us and other times we were wondering where they were. We asked several pretty basic menu questions for which the server was unsure of an answer. We started with ceviche (on special) - which was pretty good - and the oysters rockefeller - which, for me, had too much spinach. For mains we had the lobster roll (pretty basic and I had to spread the lobster out to get some in every bite - need to ass in 1/2 again more meat) and the salmon (same - pretty basic). Ordered a wine sampler - but it didn't arrive until after my dinner was eaten. The wine in the 4 pour sample was okay - we expected more based on the wine theme of the restaurant. Prices were a little high on most items but a little low on some items (we eat out a couple times a week - so I can make valid comparisons on this topic). I can see some nights where parking may be a little difficult when people are hitting all the area restaurants. The atmosphere, layout and look is great - nice bar with tvs, tables not on top of each other, nice seating and lighting.

Outdoor seating was less rowdy than inside, enjoying the nice summer evening. It was a busy night but service was great. Tuna wonton nachos was a mountain of light crispy wontons, all flavors paired well together. The grilled fig (that looks like the turnip) was my fav part of the fried grilled cheese. Crispy calamari, can't go wrong with a classic. Flounder was good and was a big portion. Crab cakes were good too. My favorite was the churrasco steak. It was cooked to perfection and paired with the Herbert potatoes and elote was wonderful.

Great spot. Ate there for the first time on Friday May 8, 2026. Wish it was a little closer because it had a great vibe. Lots of outside seating and a lovely atmosphere. Enjoyed the Millionaire cocktail while my wife enjoyed the Lemon Basil one. Shared some apps that were tasty and filling. Carley was our server and checked in with us at the appropriate interval. If we are near Newtown Square in the future would certainly check it out again.

This place was packed on a Friday night so thankful we made a reservation. Large place with a lot of tables and booths. Still decorated for Christmas. The French onion soup was a little salty. Those who got the snapper soup loved it but hands down the creole soup was the best. It was so good we took a quart home for the weekend. Nothing like a good bowl of hot soup on a cold winter day. Overall everyone enjoyed their meal. The shrimp were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. The crab cake was a little on the small side. The Nashville chicken was hot and spicy just the way you would except it to be. The scallops I'm told were also good. The peach cobbler was fair. The crust was too heavy, too dense and in my opinion just too much of it. The chocolate lava brownie tasty.

We used to frequent the DH location frequently but it has come to my understanding that those folkssold some time ago. If so, that might explain what has happened here because it's not even close. It is a dive bar, just like the old Drexel Ale House but in the worst way. It's dirty, dingy and dilapidated inside. When we arrived, there were three women smoking just outside so we entered only to be greeted by a patron who directed us to a table in the back for "the path of least resistance,"whatever that means. We sat a booth near the front only to learn that one of the three women out front (none of whom greeted us) was the barmaid and waitress. After what took forever after she came in, we got a menu and ordered the roast beef sandwich. If you add anything it's extra - cheese $2 or $3, long hots and broccoli rabe also a few buck extra, so your sandwich can easily approach and pass the $20 mark. They came with small plastic cup of jus and a bit of horseradish. The sandwich itself was very generous but unevenly cut with thick and thin slices and not super tender. I stopped to use the ladies' room before leaving. It is not handicapped accessible in any way shape or form. Newtown Square is asleep or just let these guys get away with it.

Wouldn't go as far to call it a Dive Bar but portrayed a small, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Food prices slightly high for the quality but the service was great and the beer was cold. Seemed like a great place to watch a game or meet some friends. Plenty of parking. I wouldn't go out of my way to do so but plan to stop again soon.

We expected much better service and quality from Ruth's Chris. We sat outside. Wasn't packed. we sat for a hour before the waitress came back to get our drinks. The experience was a little bizarre. Their website says "Rosalie doesn't allow reservations for 1,…read moreplease just walk in". I walked in, as directed, just for a very flustered man at the front of the house to fumble with his system for a good 10 mins. Telling me there was a table, then taking it back and saying there were no tables for the night, then saying nevermind and making me a reservation for two (which I would have done if not discouraged by the website) for half an hour later. At this point I already had a very bad taste in my mouth from the level of chaos. I waited outside for my table. When I got to my table I will say my server was very nice until a strange comment came up at dessert. Once I ordered my dessert, he left and came back with two spoons, saying "I brought two spoons for us." It almost seemed implied he'd join me. I dine a lot alone, voluntarily. Most of the time it's after work and I really don't want, let alone need, company. His comment gave me anxiety as I wondered how I would politely tell this man I wanted to dine alone. When he brought the dessert he did not join me but made sure to say "I'll be back for a few bites." Maybe it was a joke but to me it was very odd and made me pretty uncomfortable. I gave three stars just for the Cacio e Pepe. It was very good. I did (without giving tmi) have a very sick stomach after the meal and the morning after so I wouldn't return just incase that was the cause. Like a said... a weird experience.
