They offer a small selection of baked goods and brunch foods. I have yet to try them. They had a nice variety of seasonal flavors and different hot and cold beverages. They sell whole beans and had over a dozen varieties with good descriptions of the beans and the notes. I bought a bag of beans to try at home and they do a punch card promotion in addition to giving you a free hot coffee to go for the bad of coffee bought. This gave me an option to try another type of coffee. I got the black sesame iced latte and it was delicious. You can smell the toasted sesame scent but the flavor was not super sweet. Can't wait to try this place again!

Chadds Ford Coffee House is what a chain like Starbucks aspires to be: local, cozy, and artisanal. Good music playing loud enough that you can hear it, but not so loud that you can't have a good conversation. There is wifi and a good amount of seating, including stools for solo diners who might want to open a laptop and send a few emails while eating the aforementioned giant scone. It's also easy to get takeout service, but I'd say it's worth spending a few minutes here to really savor your food and drink.

I love to switch it up and try new places, and this was no exception, and I did get to enjoy not only a good macchiato, but also a lovely, light and fluffy croissant. However, based on the vibe when I walked inside, I had expected a step above from what I actually experienced. This is NOT to say that anything is wrong with this place; it is cute, the staff is extremely nice, and their coffee is good, just good. But there is nothing here that takes it up a notch to make them anything memorable or more than just another coffee stop on the road of many potential head turning exquisite coffee paradises. I was very excited when I asked about the macchiato, as they said they make them the traditional "correct" way, which is what I prefer. A very small, very potent and delicious amount of espresso, and I usually enjoy mine con panna which they were happy to oblige. While the espresso was pulled well and the drink was delicious, it did taste as if their roaster went just a bit too far, or they extracted just a bit too much. Not a big deal. However, at a place making this correctly, I would expect a damn good macchiato. The croissant was also tasty; buttery and flaky, and I am not sure if it was baked on site, but I feel like if it wasn't, they should consider doing just that, because that is what could elevate this to that next level and really make it a destination! All in all I was pleased with what I got and the price was reasonable for what we ordered. If I am in the area I will likely be returning to my favorite spot nearby that I frequent with reverence, and that is no fault of Chadds Ford Coffee House. But when coffee is needed and I'm around, if I can't go to where I normally would, this would be at the top of my list! I had the beef stew which came with a beautifully made French baguette. The beef stew was incredible. It had a unique flair that I wasn't expecting, but was delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful. I also had their waffle creation with cream on top that was very good. It appears on first glance when going inside that it used to be some other place but I am not sure what, and when we were there it seemed that it was empty. Like devoid of people whatsoever. There was our server, and I'm not sure if someone was even in the kitchen, but there had to be because our order was being prepared by someone. This is actually good, because that morning was a dragging one and having it nice and quiet with almost not distraction was absolutely wonderful! What I like about B&B is also what kind of sets it back just a bit, but I think this place is on the rise, and as it gains popularity, this will start to be talked about around southeast Delco and definitely and up a go-to spot. There are complaints in some of the reviews here that the food is "underseasoned" which is something that I would like to argue wholeheartedly. Breakfast is very subjective; especially standard American breakfast staples like omelets, eggs and bacon platters, waffles. However, that is where the underuse of season here is actually a smart strategy. Most of these dishes would be seasoned with salt, pepper, or by some, butter or hot sauce. All these items are readily available and placed on the table in food quantity so that the diner can easily bring their meal to the exact taste that they enjoy. In doing this thought, nothing really shines here. It is all very good, but nothing it really unique. And that is good thing especially when you are looking for a place to enjoy breakfast that's a down-home style meal and you don't want to have to cook. I will definitely be back again for another homestyle breakfast in the future, and the prices are more than reasonable. If you live in the area this is a great place to frequent for a breakfast you would make yourself or would expect to have if you stopped home for the day. Backing out is a bit of a pain since you're on Chester Pike and right next to a school, but I managed. The inside is clean, bright and visually appealing. They sell some bakery items, breakfast sandwiches and a lot of coffee/tea based drinks (protein drinks, smoothies, frappes, refreshers, fusion brews, performance drinks, matcha, etc.) I tried the 16oz Premium Signature Coffee Blend - Peruvian and Indonesian blend at $3.25. The coffee was medium bodied with herbal, floral, chocolate and cedar notes in the aroma and taste. It was an OK brew, but not the type of blend I prefer. If you drink regular Dunkin coffee black you'll see a bit of a similarity in the herbal/floral taste. I snagged a couple Almond Chocolate Biscotti's to accompany my cup and they were tasty. On my second visit I grabbed a 4 oz Cortado with whole milk. The balance was pretty much right down the middle. The espresso had flavors of dark cocoa and a deep roast. The milk help shade the acidity so it was very robust without being overly creamy. Foam was light so he did a good job. On the other side of the building is their roasting operation. They have displays with coffee, merch and coffee/tea accessories. I had two good experiences at Afaf. The location might not be the greatest (Wawa close by), but the guy who took care of me (most likely the owner) was really nice and seemed to have put a lot of work into this venture. Was very excited to stop in and try Afaf this morning! Tried to come here on Sunday and they were…read morenot open despite having their "grand opening" this past Saturday. The space is cozy and has a very neat adjoining space where they are doing some in-house roasting on a seemingly small scale, which provided some pretty exciting thoughts as about what they may be doing in the future as far as local roasts and other specialty offerings. Everyone behind the counter was also very upbeat and bright and it seems that this is definitely family owned and possibly a second location. Some of the staff seems new to coffee in general, but they will be up to speed in no time. What drew my attention the most was the interesting offerings that Afaf has that you do not see in many, if any, other places. The most striking feature is the Moroccan "special tea". Having had the chance to have legitimate prepared Moroccan tea with fresh mint brewed into the tea before, I was instantly drawn to this and I spoke to the owner at length about the menu and how I would be over-the-top excited if they added tagine to the menu, lol. He was playful with my suggestions and was definitely interested in din preparing the tea, although I did not have time for it to be prepared freshly, and will be following up, having this as the drink on my second visit here for sure. Thai brings me to my macchiato and hash browns. This also is the part where Afaf needs a little work. This place has all the hallmarks of being one of the best in the area, and I will not knock them as they JUST opened. However, the macchiato I ordered was not a traditional macchiato even after discussing the beverage with the barista...this is something I am used to as most places do not make a macchiato correctly and I am just as happy drinking it the way the place makes it instead of how it is traditionally prepared, but after having a whole conversation about it, I expected it to come out as discussed. That only leaves the hash browns. While they were indeed flavorful, they were simply frozen tater tots that had been seasoned, and they were barely cooked. I am actually unsure if they were even heated. They were cold, and I know tots come precooked, so it's very possible they were taken out, seasoned, and never finished. All this is likely growing pains, and will not prevent me from coming back, and I cannot wait to try Afaf again, especially the tea and another menu item, possibly something like the caprese they offer. I think within a few weeks this will be a MUST GO destination in the Ridley area for a delicious cup of coffee or an espresso drink and a delicious bit to eat. If you live nearby, give them some love and watch this place grow into something wonderful, and if you're traveling through stop in for a cup and re-energize.
