This is a huge KFT store, the largest I have ever been in. Massive open area to chill, hangout, play games and rest. The space was clean and organized with couple of small arcades and few board games in the shelves. The menu had all the popular drinks including my favorite mango milk tea with popping pearls. It was easy to put the order through kiosk, no wait time at all. Surprisingly the drinks took longer than usual, about 10 minutes to be ready. But once we got them, the flavor of my milk tea was amazing. The popping bobas were also fresh. Other than the delay, I liked this overall experience at this store. read more

I ordered the new-menu-addition "green tea with 30% sugar and less ice with boba", and it was absolutely amazing! I enjoyed the sweet and tangy drink with the toppings. I will be back to this location in Media due to the awesome service. I also played the claw machines twice and enjoyed my plushy thrills. What I appreciate about restaurants that are vastly different than others is they attract their own crowds and add to the tapestry of other businesses in the area. That "area" in this way is Media in Pennsylvania. Though more of like a quick food and drinks type of place this tea locale has quite some experiencences to offer. Whether you ask for a milk tea with many different toppings including Boba (or "bubble tea" as the east coast supposedly calls it commonly), or some bites including rice balls, the things to see don't stop there as games are also available in sections of the store. From board type games to claw machines you can keep occupied while you wait or when sipping your beverage. I want to come back here. Though I discovered from the visit I am not a huge fan of Boba, I want to give their other drinks (and the avocado rice ball sounds tasty) a try! Kung Fu Tea seems like a popular chain and coming here I see why. read more

The service: Waited about 15-20 min with only one couple ahead of us who ordered 2 drinks. Friendly staff though! The vibe: Laid back, artsy, & fun. The boba: I ordered oreo wow with milk strike (lactose & caffeine free) for the 1st time. I always try something new & this drink is a new top 3 for sure! I had their matcha milk drink with popping coffee jelly and an Eel Onigiri (Rice ball). Honestly, people's first impressions when they order from a big chain, you'd think that there isnt anything special, but the matcha milk actually tasted really good. The sweetness was just right, it tastes just like matcha, and its flavor didnt overpower the popping coffee jelly. No flavor was overpowering the other and it had a pretty balanced taste. The amount of ice was just right and even if the drink sat for a while without mixing or shaking, it retains it form. It didnt settle at the bottom of the cup and the drink was just consistent. I was very pleased with the drink. The Eel onigiri was also something i missed since I moved here. I havent had it in a while and I thought of ordering it. Quite honestly, i didnt even know they served food until I really looked around the other literature. Also, i really didnt think they served food - it just didnt occur to me that they had food at all other than the snacks on the rack against the wall. To my surprise, they make the onigiri fresh with every order. I saw the guy in the back scoop the rice, put the fish in and made it into a rice ball and served it. Yes, there are rice balls served in a bag, but i saw him make it and i saw him seal and serve it. Be sure you really look for the "peel" label and follow that tear line. If you do it properly, you dont have to worry about the rice ball falling apart and getting your hands dirty, the seaweed wrap will settle into the ball properly. So taste... it tasted great! The sauce, the consistency of the rice and the freshness of of the fish - you can taste everything. I came in around lunch time. And even though the food i was served was overall delicious, i was actually kind of sad that there were only 2 people working the back, the drink and the counter. The place was busy and the line was growing. They do a great job and the folks in line, even the kids were excited for their order. I felt soooo sad for the staff, but they do suuuuch a great job. They kept up with the small orders, but I was actually anxious about big orders that might come in. I sat at the tall table overlooking the street. The setting was clean, the seats were neat and they were nicely pushed back. They have a range of games stacked in the shelves so i helped myself with their rubik's cube. Its a nice friendly place to hang out with friends, study or just a place to chill. All in all, I enjoyed my brief visit there. read more

Very spacious and the place is kept pretty clean. Drinks are mostly decent. One of my favorites there is the lychee tea. They have bits of lychee fruit in it. There are times I get this drink and it's more skin of the seed than the fruit itself, so that can be disappointing, but the tea itself is still delicious. Onto food - I really dig their chicken and the onigori. The chicken is flavorful and so tender. As for the onigori, they make it fresh so your seaweed isn't all wet from the rice. They have tons of different stuffings and they don't skimp on it. As for price, the other reviews are right. They are definitely priced higher than most bubble tea places I go to. However, because they are so close to me, the gas money I save basically goes to the drinks. read more

The women who work here are amazing! Always nice and pleasant. The store is always clean and orderly. They have a nice selection of prepackaged snacks as well as a huge selection of tees and slushes. One of my very favorite things to get from this particular location is the popcorn chicken. I have ordered it quite a few times and the flavor is always consistent and it is always cooked great. I love the fact that you can customize your tea as far as sugar levels and ice levels. I also love the great selection of jellies and bubbles that you can have added to switch up the flavor of your drink. Really cool hang out space for a lot of young local folx. Really good location and parking is everywhere. They have board games etc, to play. The food takes quite a bit but they're pretty good. Be clear on your orders, i once ordered a strawberry milk with oreos for my toddler and they gave me strawberry lemonade with oreos in it lol thankfully we were there to sit and eat and they were all gracious enough to replace it correctly. Enough variety to please 10 people aged 5 to nearly 50, and a great app such that we could preorder and walk to the shop and have very minimal wait. The mango creamsicle with mango popping bubbles was the runaway hit in our group; we hope it gets added to the permanent menu off of the summer menu. My default is taro slush with bubbles. One thing we would definitely change: the app makes it equally easy to place an order or clear the cart, and if you hit the wrong one, there's not even a "are you sure?" query. Perhaps make them different colors or sizes to encourage purchase, or at minimum, add the question so we can back out and hit the purchase button without reentering everything! read more

I'm from NYC and generally a Kung fu fan but this place is way overpriced. Sorry not sorry. Way too expensive like 2 small bubble tea drinks for $11. That's a no. Bubble was good which is why I gave it another star but I wouldn't come back. I would rather drive to philly. Also...they don't take credit cards for purchases under $10. Smh. Dumb rule and on top of that they have and ATM but why would I pay money to use an ATM for overpriced drinks? It's no for me. I am sooo mad at Kung Fu Tea. Twice I placed an order for Thai milk tea at two separate Kung Fu Tea locations (including this one), and they made me a regular milk tea. You can always tell because the color is not orange and it doesn't taste like Thai tea. But nobody ever tells you that they don't have it in stock. No "Sorry we don't have any Thai Tea, would you like something else?". What's up with that?? Instead they try to fool you with a milk tea assuming you don't know any better. If you're from the area and you're desperate for some boba, this is the safest bet if you don't want to drive all the way to Chinatown. I've been to many different KFT locations (California, New York, Jersey, etc) and always order my favorite drinks - wintermelon green milk tea with boba & yakult (yogurt) green tea with boba. Both times that I've ordered these drinks, I couldn't taste any difference from the ones I've had in the past. Meanwhile, Kung Fu Tea is brand new (about a month old) and spacious and clean with a ton of sugar-laden tea and coffee/tea and slush and bubble-tea choices. They also offer rice balls and crepes (Did not try yet). Speedy service (they call your number so hang on to your recepit), so sit in a booth or on a comfy couch and play a game of Jenga or Uno. Then, sip and enjoy. A great spot! Boba Tiki needs to watch out. read more

What an awful place. Immediately the woman behind the counter was unpleasant to me. No smile or greeting. I asked right away if they had wireless because I wanted to sit down and do some work on my laptop with a tea, and she said yes. I ordered a "winter melon milk green tea", large. I was asked if I wanted a topping and I said no. I assumed that boba bubbles were included in the basic tea order, because never in my life have I heard them referred to as a "topping" since they sink down into the tea. My total with tax was a little over $5.00 which is right for a tea with boba... but there was no boba, because it turns out that is a "topping". So $5 for just milk tea is a big pricey. The tea was bitter in an unpleasant way. I did not enjoy it. I sat down on one of the six couches and it was hard as stone. There are flimsy pads on the couches, but basically underneath they are cheap patio furniture. Then, worst of all, their internet is configured incorrectly. I could not connect on my phone at *all*; I kept hanging in the "obtaining IP address" phase. I was able to connect on my laptop but 50% of the sites I tried to load - twitter, for instance - returned a "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN" error; while others, like Facebook, loaded without an issue. I threw away what was left of my bitter, overpriced tea and walked a mile up the road to Starbucks where I am writing this review. Don't come here. read more

Fantastic tea shop that opened up in Media!! I've had four delicious drinks from here so far. The Coconut Milk tea (with mango popping bubbles), the King Fu Honey Tea* caffeine free! (with boba/tapioca bubbles), the Oolong Milk tea (prob my favorite), and Taro Milk Tea. The trick to really enjoying these drinks is understanding how sweet you like your drinks. The first time I had the tea it was "regular sweetness" and much much too sweet for me-- but luckily they are SO great at helping you adapt your tea to your sweetness preferences! I've learned I prefer 50% sweetness and it has made my experience here wonderful. I love how customizable the experience is. You can even choose how much ice you would like! With that said, this place is so much more than bubble tea! I have enjoyed the popcorn chicken and the takoyaki as well. And they even have crepes! Yum! The service has been consistently friendly and helpful (particularly with suggestions for someone who gets overwhelmed looking at a menu as large as theirs!) The atmosphere here is fantastic as well. It feels like a hip bar, but could easily be a work spot (with free WiFi!) and they have Jenga and cards and blocks for kids. I love how open the layout of the store is and the couches are very welcoming for groups. Very spacious compared to the other ones I've been to and same selections as all of them Try the strawberry cream cap or the cocoa cream cap wow as those are two of my favorites, you won't go wrong. If you're into tea, the strawberry green tea lemonade always does the trick in times of super thirstiness. Food wise, I always get the popcorn chicken or takoyaki. The chicken is always fresh, just fried and seasoned well and it's a health portion that comes in a white take out box. Awesome place. Today 8/8/20 at 755PM was really busy and this tall husky white guy (6 foot) with his son was waiting for their drinks. KFT had tons of orders so one was working the cashier and the other one was making tea. The guy was making a scene and the poor kid was so embarrassed that he left. The guy then proceeded to verbally abuse the two poor employees and was acting like a privileged male. I wish I was brave enough to have said something but he was tall and husky so it shames me that this other male that was the same height as me 5"6 actually was brave enough to say something to the betch. I wish I could have taken a picture or video of the guy but I never bring my phone in because it's always a quick in and out pickup. The husky guy was ready to beat up the smaller male because the smaller male had the balls to stand up to him (the bully). Good for you small dude. You confronted him when I could not. Great place for bubble tea but I had to post this review in hopes the white guy had the human decency to feel shame about how he acted.
