Dirty Spicy Chai
Jenah C.

Nice little cafe in town that serves tasty (& creative) drinks. The staff is always super helpful in recommending drinks and they usually have a nice variety of seasonal choices. This time I got a pumpkin cold brew latte. I wouldn't order it again, it was tasty, but VERY sweet. I'm not a huge fan of sweet coffee drinks. I'll stick to the cold brew black from now on. My husband got a dirty spicy chai for the second time and likes it. It is also sweet, but the spice cuts it down a little bit. The kids each got a chocolate covered rice crispy. They have some good chocolates and desserts to choose from. Parking can be tough if it's a weekend or evening. It's all meters/street parking. They have a nice amount of seating outside and inside.

Super cute inside. They have a very quaint vibe. The baristas were all very nice, chill, but prompt. We didn't try any pastries, but they did have a small option. Definitely a good coffee stop!

Really great latte, with the best latte art I've ever seen! Service was helpful when I was being indecisive about what to order.

Yummmmm. There were so many drinks that sounded super unique and delicious. Can't wait to come back and try more! But wish they had more baked good options.

The last time I was here it was under Fenns. Before Turks Head open, the workers were nice enough to let us take a private tour of the new place and all of the changes and work they've done! The cafe looks really cool inside! As far as their coffee goes, I'm very pleased. I ordered the ice coffee with oatmilk and pumpkin pie flavoring. The coffee by itself is awesome, and the pumpkin pie flavor is good but not too sweet! My mom ordered the gingerbread latte and she was very satisfied with her order! The coffee here is reasonably priced. I'm glad we stopped here today instead of the big corporate chain we usually go to!

Amazing coffee as always and they always have themed season drinks. I go here often and the bartistas are very nice even when it gets super busy. They also have live music a lot on the weekends and it's always crowded but a good time.

Best little coffe shop in town! Always has great live music outside on Saturdays and super awesome/welcoming staff. They have typical coffee options as well as seasonal specials. There are usually some regulars that hang around and listen to the music and chat. The vibes are always great and the coffee is always delicious! Last time I was in, I got the Caramel pumpkin latte and it was perfect for the chilly fall day. Prefect little spot for a afternoon pick me up.

Some of my favorites are the pumpkin pie with brown butter whipped cream, pumpkin chai cake, sangria cake, chai and butterscotch cruffin, cookie dough cinnamon bun, tres leches mini bundts, spring onion and pea quiche, french onion soup quiche, and caneles. Everything is always so high quality and flavorful. A lot of the their pastries are not that sweet which I prefer, and the flavors are a lot more balanced than other bakeries I've been too. They also have AMAZING bread that you can buy by the loaf or order a sandwich made with it. Pictured here are: Blueberry lime corn cake. This cake was good but not great. It was a bit dry and the cake didn't have a very strong corn flavor. 4/5 Cookie dough cinnamon bun. One of the best desserts I've ever eaten. Croissant bun stuffed with cookie dough and chocolate ganache topped with soft baked cookie pieces. The croissant was flaky and fluffy, the cookie dough was gooey, and the chocolate ganache was rich and creamy. 5/5 Caneles. One of my favorite desserts and The Buttery does it so well. Crunchy exterior with a custardy interior. 5/5 Chai and butterscotch cruffin. Perfectly flaky and buttery croissant generously stuffed with butterscotch cream and chai buttercream. 5/5 Tahini chocolate cinnamon bun. Croissant bun with a tahini and cinnamon filling and chocolate chips topped with an orange blossom cream cheese frosting and sesame seeds. 4/5

The highlights were a delicious beat and burrata salad, a lovely cheese board, and bangin' bread with whipped butter. We had mixed feelings about everything else. I liked the lobster roll but my companion was not impressed. The truffle cheese fries had unmelted shredded cheese on top; I have to believe someone forgot to put them under the broiler. I liked the quinoa fritters (they had a falafel-like herbaceousness), but my companion said they tasted like nothing. My companion liked the short ribs: I thought the meat was yummy but wasn't into the carrots or the gnocchi. (Dear chef, consider serving the short ribs with the truffle cheese fries; that would be an amazing combo if the cheese were melted.) Lastly, my English Garden cocktail was a little weird, like a cucumber bellini. I was expecting something else, I guess. I could be persuaded to try it again, though. In spite of the criticisms, a good meal and good experience. Would absolutely go back. Their brunch is also recommended.

We made the reservations for happy hour specifically to sit outside and listen to the live music. When we arrived, even though we had reservations for their happy hour, we were told there were no places outside and they wouldn't even honor their happy hour menu inside. They later came back after realizing they were in the wrong and said they would honor the drink prices but not the appetizers on the happy hour menu. We saw an empty high top table with no chairs outside that we would have stood at, but that wasn't even an option. Instead, we were told we could purchase drinks and walk around outside. Since we were there for a birthday (indicated on the reservation), this was upsetting. We left and found a nearby restaurant with delicious food and all-day happy hour nearby.
