Roses little donuts every morning are the best freshest , smooth, creamy , pretty , many flavors , many designs - ask for yours . They can create any design & flavor for any event you can imagine. The little donuts are surprisingly filling . The fresh coffees are all so yummy . .So much happiness in such an adorable , colorful shop in the middle of Darlington St , the perfect name for the street where wonderful Roses little donuts is in lovely Westchester easy to find right between Market and Kay street

Rose's is a great addition to the West Chester scene. Located on a side street between Market and Gay Streets, they offer nine flavors of smaller sized donuts along with ReAnimator Coffee and a few other drink selections. You can also get bags of the coffee to go and boxes of mini gluten free donuts made elsewhere there too. Rose's. donuts are sold individually but you can get them in boxes that hold four, nine, of 16. Given fondness for donuts and the fact that they seemed small I chose to get a box of nine, which was a mistake because after eating four I was ready for a nap. You choose what flavors you want, pay at the counter (they do take credit cards) and they call your name when your order is up. It's a relatively small place with a large bench with some pillows in front of the store where you can sit down and they have a long tall counter on the side of the store with a colorful mural that goes along great with the decor that includes a sparkling countertop and subway tiles. You can also see the machine that cranks out the donuts and watch employees, all of whom were really friendly, put the toppings in the donuts from the counter. Speaking of the donuts, they are all based on smaller sized cake donuts with some flavors, like the pumpkin pie, featuring pumpkin flavor in the mix. I chose those as well as vanilla sundae, strawberry sprinkle, and peanut butter lovers ones. They also had lemon merengue, sea salt caramel, s'mores, black chocolate forest cherry, and maple bacon ones too and I am sure that the flavors will change with the seasons. While I enjoyed the donuts, they seemed a little overly sweet to me, both with regard to the icing and the toppings, especially the peanut butter ones with the lots of peanut butter cup pieces in the middle, as I felt like I ate a candy bar after eating the donut which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The closest thing I can compare them to is a smaller, sweeter version of FedNuts without the cinnamon spice baked in the dough. Kids will love these though. So if you're looking for a quick pick-me-up or want to get the kids running in circles, Rose's is the place to go.

Donuts are so good, and I got a specialty iced coffee that I guzzled! Everything is made to order, so allow a little extra time.

I love the taste of the donuts! This is how donuts should taste! My favorite would have to be the chocolate and caramel.

Great pizza. The dough is sweet and soft making this pie a delight to place my tongue uponread more

Super disappointed in my experience here. The 2 stars is because they are open super late (I think…read moreuntil 2 am?) I am a night owl and so happy to find a place open past midnight, as most places that were before covid are no longer open past that. I am a small business owner, and my motto has always been "if you have a bad experience, reach out to the owner / manager first (before writing a review) and give them the chance to make it right, and if you had a great experience, TELL EVERYONE!" Well, I did that. I called and left a voice mail with my name and phone number and description of the issues with my take out, and.... absolutely NO RESPONSE. I waited a few weeks before writing this so I could be thoughtful and objective. SO.... I really was craving a cheese-steak hoagie while working late in my office one night. I had a few donation items to drop off to the SPCA over in West Chester, so I figured I'd patronize one of my patient's businesses (Lorenzo's steaks). I looked up "Lorenzo's", and it said they were open until 2 am, so I headed there. Unfortunately, the Lorenzo's that came up was actually a different one.... Lorenzo's Pizza. I never realized there were 2 with similar names! The pizza place only had pizza, and the Lorenzo's I wanted to patronize had already closed. So I found Saucey's that was open late, and decided to give them a try. I ordered around $70 worth of food. The order process was painful. I think the slim girl at the register must have been new, because the heavier girl that was doing the cooking had to come up and give her instructions on how to enter the requested toppings for my chicken cheesesteak hoagie. I ordered that, plus another sandwich for my son, and a few deserts.... they have fried Oreos and fried Zebra cakes... both things my son and husband would love. I ordered this as take out. I was VERY specific about my sandwich, even asking for extra lettuce, as well as the standard mayo, onions and tomatoes. The girl in the back that came up was both cooking and using her fingers on the register, then back to cooking with no gloves or handwashing in between, and seemed really grumpy that I was asking for something that was not specifically on their menu. (There were a ton of college kids in there at the time, some obviously drunk, and it was pretty hot out, so perhaps that's why she was so grumpy, but still, don't take it out on customers.) I got all the way back to Malvern, and guess what? Plain chicken cheese steak, with no other toppings. Just boring. Not even any ketsup! My son's sandwich was just ok. The fried stuff was actually pretty disgusting, obviously cooked in oil because it was pretty dark and had that "old oil" taste. I called just to let them know, so they could be more careful in the future. I wasn't even really expecting anything as reimbursement, or replacement, since I didn't feel like driving all the way back there and struggling to find parking, and I really don't get to WC very often. But at least an acknowledgement and apology with intent to do better would have gone a long way. I do not recommend Saucey's and I won't be going back.
