I have been multiple times over the years that I have lived in the area. Every time has been extremely disappointing. I have no idea how they get these high ratings. We waited an extremely long time for every interaction. The place was not clean on any visit. The quiche was small, tasteless, and in no way impressive. The food was beyond pitiful in quantity and quality and the prices were at least as high as really quality places in the area. You can do much better than this. read more

Had a lovely lunch with my teenaged daughter here today (one of my Christmas presents from her - what a nice treat!). We decided to share two sandwiches... The grilled cheese with avocado and Sriracha aioli was very good and we also enjoyed the Harvest Turkey Panini, although it was missing the slaw but we didn't realize it until it was too late. It was still a good sandwich and the turkey on it was definitely not lunch meat turkey... It was thick and juicy and full of flavor. We also shared a cheese Danish - it seemed like a cinnamon roll filled with that yummy cheesecake filling - so good, but a little on the cold side. We would prefer a room temp pastry, or even slightly warmed up. Overall, it was a cute little place to have lunch. We were the only ones in there, with the exception of a few people that left right after we got there, so it could have been a little quicker but since we weren't in a rush, it wasn't a big deal for us. The two ladies working there were very nice, but like another reviewer said, they kept going somewhere and coming back which seemed a little strange. One came back with an avocado in her hand so I guess maybe they were borrowing from neighbors, or have another kitchen out there somewhere. Anyway, who knows. We enjoyed our lunch and the price was right, which is rather surprising for Media, so that was a plus. We will certainly be going back! read more

Willow's waffles are fantastic. She and her team at Garden Cafe came up with really tasty combinations of waffles, that are perfectly sweet (but not too sweet). My boyfriend and I often order the Apple Waffle and are never disappointed--the combination of sautéed apples, caramel and cinnamon and whipped cream is so tasty. Another favorite of ours is the Sweet Orchard breakfast wrap. The combination of brie, bacon, and arugula is really yummy and again, always consistently well made. Willow is a lovely business owner, very attentive, and her staff are all very friendly. I always enjoy my meals here!! Plus the mochas and cappuccinos are great as well. This is an awesome place to get lunch! We thought it was just a coffee spot but soon discovered that they have a full menu of delicious sandwiches and salads and yummy drinks. The passion fruit juice was sooooo good. The owner, Willow, puts a personal touch in every dish. I was thrilled to finally find a place that uses just the right amount of mayo. The turkey sandwich was perfect and my mom loved their BLT. Devin, who also works here, was super accommodating by helping us get our 10 month old in a high chair with some snacks! Let me just start off by saying: wonderful service and friendly workers! We walked in, it wasn't very busy at all around 1230pm. The woman working greeted us very warmly and excitedly about summer and their new menu items/goodies they sell (very cute candles!). I ordered a chicken caesar wrap and my friend I went with orders the Jackson Street Egg sandwich. And let me say, we both cleared our plates. The chicken caesar wrap was very fresh, chicken was great, and the flavor was very nice-- it also came with a side of chips! My friend really enjoyed her sandwich as well and finished it completely. They offer cute outdoor seating which is great for as we enter the warm months, as it's a bit shaded and away from the busyness of Media! I was starving and I was new too the town saw this cute cafe loved the ambience! The food was so delicious I'm not particularly a wrap person but let me tell you the mission wrap was perfect ! Golden brown wrap size was not too big to wear it would fall apart and get messy love the cut of the wrap also and they're special sauce hittt the spotttt !!! Most definitely recommend tis cute cafe! A friend took me to this cafe to pick up a to go lunch. The cafe is easy to find on a side street. First impressions matter and to me this cafe made a great first impression. It was clean, very neat and I believe the woman who owns the cafe or cooks for the cafe was working the counter. She offered me the lunch menu but also said we could negotiate about a few things off the breakfast menu if that's what I was looking for. I ordered watermelon ice tea and the California grilled cheese. It came with a choice of salad or chips and a pickle. Our order took a bit. Then there was the walk back to my office. Although my grilled cheese was like warm when I got back to my office it was still delicious. The avocado on the sandwich was really good. There was also some sauce...that was really good too. Absolutely fabulous! Perfect for breakfast, lunch, and dessert! I was looking for a bakery to pick up a small dessert and a friend recommended Garden Café. I picked up two of the individually portioned cakes which were lemon and cannoli. Both were fabulous! As I was being rung up, I took a look at the menu and ended up coming back a few days later for lunch with some of my coworkers. I ordered the West Coast Panini, and it is now one of my new favorite lunch spots in town! The owner served us and could not have been any nicer and attentive! There are only a few tables, but she allowed us to push 2 together outside so that we could enjoy the nice weather. It was a bit confusing because other patrons were being waited on at tables and being served quicker but there were no signs or anything as to what to do when you walked in. We waited about 25 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and a wrap - the Jackson and Mission. They were nice and hot but had too much sauce on each so the bread and tortilla were kinda soggy. Koffee Korner's sister-restaurant has one of the best kichens around. With the talented Grayson and health-conscious Willow, the food available here is really very good. My favorites are ANY of Grayson's housemade soups (Tomato Bisque), chicken pot pie (filled with chunks of white meat chicken and veggies), fresh salads, and quiches. The pot pie and quiches can also be ordered and baked at home. It's small. It seats maybe a dozen people and serves breakfast with made-to-order waffles as one of the house specialties. Outside seating for 2-4 is available for the pet walkers. Willow has treats stashed and ready. It's a clean, tasty choice for lunch or coffee nosh. Great little place! Came here for brunch after the restaurant down the street was too crowded, and was pleasantly surprised. Very small (6 tables), family-run place with good, affordable homemade food. I had a vegetarian egg sandwich and had them add brie. It was FANTASTIC. Husband ordered a Belgian waffle with strawberries, whipped cream, and strawberry yogurt, which was also very good. The service was friendly, if a bit slow on coffee refills and bussing - but that's because there was only one server, who also works the register for to-go orders. We'll be back! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Garden Cafe really stands out among the rest and leaves a lasting impression every time I go. I think it's the reliably fresh, high quality ingredients; from the La Colombe coffee right down to the side salad, Garden Cafe certainly cuts no corners. The menu features so many inventive choices for breakfast and lunch--good luck choosing! I opted for lunch during my most recent visit, since I couldn't decide on one thing and the 1/2 and 1/2 sandwich/salad option let me pick two. While you really can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches, the maple bacon grilled cheese seriously blew me away with its flavors!! The salad choices are all fresh, delicious, and anything but boring (which unfortunately is not the case for most other restaurants, in my opinion). As far as breakfast goes, I've tried the breakfast egg wrap with avocado (totally delicious) and look forward to trying either waffles or crepes next time (which will be soon!). Be prepared: Garden Cafe is small, with only about 4-5 tables. I understand why some may be confused upon walking in, unsure if it is counter-order/take-out only. But if you're lucky enough to get a table, the lovely and attentive front-of-the-house employee will take full care of you! Service is always friendly and accommodating; it's obvious that the owner, cook, and employees take great pride in this establishment. Oh, and don't forget about the baked goods... Was in here earlier today to buy a cannoli...the girl who served the cannoli also managed the register...she handled cash and the food...no gloves...talk about unsanitary... Threw out the cannoli as soon as I walked out the door and didn't give it a second thought...very disappointing...
