From the other reviews I have seen regarding Carmine' Eatery, one would think something is inherently wrong here. However, in my experience, not only is that definitely NOT the case, but everything was so over-the-top outstanding I cannot believe that anyone had a less-than-stellar experience here at all. Decided to come here for an impromptu birthday lunch for my wife and took a glance at the exciting menu, but nothing more than that. We knew nothing about it at all other than that it was nearby and it met the requirement of the minute, which was that apparently we would die if we didn't have a meatball. So, searching for a delicious meatball we happened to find somewhere I intend to go back to again, if not regularly. The space is a very cool neo-mod style arranged almost like a bar and restaurant side-by-side, almost as if it was in attached train cars from a futuristic Italy but that is taking place in an alternate dimension that is also wholly within the 1960's. If that wasn't confusing enough, they have a beautiful pocket-style door/wall that stashes away, opening the front of the bar side up to the outdoors and has a table right at the opening, allowing you to really enjoy the day, but still be inside and not in the sun or out towards the parking lot. Our server was also amazing, listening to me prattle on and giving great suggestions on my many indecisions between dishes. Obviously, we knew we wanted the meatballs and ordered it immediately, and it came perfectly before the meal with a beer that I ordered...and boy were we happy we chose to stop here for them because they are perfect. Perfect flavor, perfect consistency, and the house-made marinara was downright godly. We both opted for sandwiches, with mine being the Panuozzo. Sort of a spruced up cheesesteak with waaaaay higher quality ingredients made into a pseudo-panini. I normally steer away from this sort of thing but this was unbelievably good, and surprisingly large. The side salad brought before the panuozzo was also incredible, with a from-scratch vinaigrette I am still upset that I couldn't get the recipe for. Carmine's Eatery is really a place you need to go to in order to experience it properly. I am not sure if people have ordered food to pick up, had it delivered, come when it was extremely busy, or if possibly the restaurant had some problems and growing pains since its inception. What I do know is that I was blown away from the minute we arrived until the minute we left...and again the next day when we enjoyed what we took home! This is a place that you should try if you are looking for an interesting hybrid of Italian and Mediterranean with some fun unique spins on traditional dishes, and if you are in the area or even further out from Newtown Square, make this a destination and experience the deliciousness and interesting space yourself!

Very nice atmosphere. Totally not what I was expecting. Full Bar. Very pricy for a salad, and a cheesesteak. Much better options in the area. I asked for light on the cheese and ketchup on the steak. Neither request was honored. I like cheese but not alot due to dietary restrictions. After seeing my steak, I watched the cook make another. 8 slices of cheese on a sandwich. Whew thats a lot. I ate half because it was to much. If i go again, I will try the pizza.

It was just a pick up, unfortunately of a burnt pizza!! I should've checked it before I left. I never would have taken it.

First time i tried this place was when my boss was visiting from California. Its very calm and chill. I usually go for late lunch. I get all of my big and catering orders from these guys whenever I have a presentation. People I order for really enjoy their pizzas and their steak rolls. I typically place an order over the phone a day before and remind them about the order the next day. I personally enjoy their Jalapeno poppers. Their sandwiches are really filled all the way and the texture and consistency of pizza is to my liking. Do you know that feeling when you eat even just a slice or two of pizza, sometimes you feel like ick? Their crust does not make me feel sick like that and its also very satisfying.

Food was fantastic. Cheesesteak was really good. Huge portion, and steak was high quality. Also had the pizza, super airy and chewy dough. Service as here was top notch. Ask for Alex!

Service was attentive although funny in that our server would ask us how our next dish was immediately after it had been placed in front of us and before we had a bite. It happened three times! So maybe not quite as attentive come to think of it. We both ordered from the prix fixe menu (sharing the appetizers) which is a good deal, and I don't remember so many items involving an upcharge so that's new to me. - fried calamari - 4/5, very good, nice aioli dipping sauce, breading was consistent and not too heavy, light tasting and delicious - greek salad - 4/5, I usually love this and it was still delicious and fresh but I noticed that 1) they've changed the name so it's no longer called horiatiki, and 2) we had a very small piece of feta with the salad whereas in the past the ratio of feta to the tomatoes, green peppers, red onions, cucumbers has been more even. And now there's a $6 supplement charge for this appetizer which seems like A LOT for a salad. Next time I might skip this because of the upcharge - lavraki - 5/5, this light white fish is just the right amount of flavor and portion and my go to choice when I go to Estia. Also a $6 upcharge but this seemed more worth it - baklava - 5*/5, also a $2 upcharge but worth it as these four pieces of cylindrical baklava, while a little difficult to eat (use your hand? try to cut a cylinder with a fork?) it is an excellent baklava We went at 5pm before it got too busy and were seated away from the bar so we were able to have a quiet conversation but as the restaurant filled it definitely got noisier and I would not want to be seated near the bar. They do have a lovely outdoor area at the front and side of the restaurant so we could have sat outside since last night was quite mild in weather. One downside of the prix fixe is no zucchini and eggplant chips which are my favorite, and I didn't want to order that on top of the appetizer, entree, and dessert. Next time!

I was celebrating my birthday a few days early. There was plenty of parking available. The hosts at the front desk and our waitress/wait staff were all very, very kind. It was a pleasure dealing with everyone here. The interior is decorated beautifully. The restaurant provides complimentary hummus with sliced bread or pita bread. We chose the pita bread. The hummus was delightful. Super creamy and flavorful. I ordered the Dionysius cocktail which was quite refreshing and light. I was in the mood for a carbonated drink and this was perfect. The Estia Chips are a MUST, especially if you're a zucchini and eggplant fan. These little half moons were fried to perfection and come with a side of tzatziki. I was sad when we finished them. Their tuna is cooked rare (it's reflected on the menu as such) but oh so yummy. I was expecting a steak, but instead, squared pieces of tuna wrapped around sautéed spinach were served to me. Highly suggest this! One thing about me is I always leave room for dessert, and I was with my fiancé who loves cheesecake so we asked for that. The pistachio crust was excellent. I had never tasted anything like this before. It was my first time having Greek food, but it definitely won't be my last!

Located in Bryn Mawr on Conestoga Rd, there is a private lot and street parking available. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We were greeted by a friendly server before we even stepped inside. The host station is right inside and we were welcomed warmly once again. They offered us our choice of inside/outside seating. Being our first time there we wanted to see the interior. I mentioned this and they gave us a great table upstairs overlooking the restaurant. The store is decorated with a lot of Italian transportation...small cars and Vespas. I loved the high ceilings, and the upper level seating. They also have a huge TV on the wall, and decorated for the 2026 World Cup, despite Italy not qualifying! Our server, Alex, was very personable despite being busy with a large bday gathering and several other tables. He made us feel welcome as he went over the specials and took our orders. I got the chicken Parmesan which is my goto litmus test, while my date got the beet salad with grilled chicken. The food arrived promptly and looked and tasted delicious. My chicken parm was yummy, crispy chicken with melted cheese over delicious spaghetti! The beet salad was also well received. We saw several tables getting some delicious bread and asked for a basket. I thought it may be complimentary however it was 8$ a basket. They make it in house and drizzle it with olive oil. Served with some fresh rosemary and soft butter, it was delicious and well worth the price, just don't fill up on it! We were pressed for time so turned down their house made gelato, however we passed the gelato station on the way out and regretted this decision, it looked amazing! I mentioned to Alex that my entree was delicious but what set the restaurant apart was the service and atmosphere. It was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Some Italian places can be a bit on the cool/formal side so this was a nice change. Stop in and check it out, save some room for that bread and the gelato!
