The Pub when it was decorated for Valentine's Day.

Westgate Pub in Havertown is one of our absolute favorite places. My wife Melanie and I have been coming here for years, often with our family, and the experience is always fantastic. The food is consistently excellent and the service is top notch every time. Last night we stopped in and grabbed a couple of seats at the bar after a short wait. It was busy, but Frank and Raina were bartending and handled the crowd perfectly. Even with a full bar they were friendly, attentive, and never missed a beat. It was also great to see Steve, one of our favorite bartenders, Steve who used to be there all the time and now just works Friday nights. He happened to be there with his wife, Brit as customers and catching up with them reminded us why we love this place so much. A big shout-out to Sue, who seems to do a little bit of everything around the pub and always makes everyone feel welcome. She also decorates the place creatively for every season. Right now the pub is decorated for March Madness, which adds even more fun to the already great atmosphere. The menu has something for everyone--from great starters like cheesesteak eggrolls, wings, and Bavarian pretzel sticks to excellent burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. Everything we've ever ordered has been excellent. What really sets Westgate apart is the true neighborhood feel. Even though Melanie and I live in Springfield and not Havertown, the staff has always treated us like we're part of the neighborhood. That kind of hospitality is rare and says a lot about the people who run this place. Great food, great service, great people, and a great atmosphere. Westgate Pub is a gem.

Great atmosphere and decorations for the Holidays. Wings and Beer were good. The pizza was lacking for sure. Looked like premade dough that just had sauce and cheese poured on. I also should have read the menu more caferully as I am not a fan of jalepeno peppers. I did pick them off but there were alot. I would go back and try other apps just not the pizza. Not usre what kind of oven they working with here. I would definitley go back there to have a drink as well as I felt it was a much more older mature crowd, Been around forever!

Had a great time here. A fun place with a great menu. Enjoyed a clams appetizer that was delicious. Got the large order and it was plenty for four adults to share. My mussels with pasta were delicious. My mom loved her Ruben. And there were so many things that sounded good on the menu. The desserts were wonderful. Especially loved the carrot cake and the skillet brownie. My daughter was so happy with her ice cream. The staff was so lovely. My friends and I were exhausted after being at the zoo so we needed drink refills a lot. The waitress was lovely and sometimes brought our drink before we could even ask. Definitely recommend this place if you're in the area.

I went to Westgate for the first time in a while - since they remodeled the place, and I'm happy to report it's better than ever. I'm happy they survived the covid time too, we need places like Westgate around. The remodeling upgrades look great and the food is just as good before, if not better. Just great tasting bar food, and more. I've never had a bad meal ever, so you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The wings are awesome, and so are the cheesesteaks and the cheesesteak egg rolls. I'm a big fan of the french onion soup, the pierogis, and the hot roast beef sandwich. Theres a ton of beers, both on tap and bottled, the cocktails are real good, and they make seasonal cocktails as well. The bartenders and servers are friendly and add to the overall experience of Westgate. If you're looking for a place to watch the game or just grab a solid meal, head on down to Westgate Pub.

What a pleasant surprise. I really wanted Smirnoff apple from takeout bar section which no longer exists. Have 2 crumb snatchers at home, I was sent out in the rain to bring back something good. The first two places I tried to order from was closed. I'm glad they were. Will be back.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

The waiters were very attentive. The menu was limited but has something for everyone. I went with the Chicken Parmiginia. The sauce was flavorful and delicious. The chicken was so tender and the portion size was just right. Not overwhelming at all. My wife had the squid ink pasta in a white wine and garlic sauce with crab meat. She didn't leave a morsel. We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. So grab your friends or family, some adult beverages and have a wonderful dining experience. Burrata we will be back and sooner then later.

The two of us shared a house salad (apportioned in the kitchen) topped with an order of calamari. If you like calamari, try theirs. Nicely fried rings, tentacles and plenty of 'em. (I have to remember to ask them NOT to dress the salad. I don't really like their Italian vinaigrette.) While the photo of my chicken and T's veal look almost the same, they're not. The sauce on his "Caridinale" has more zing than what's on my "Bolognese." Both good, but his a bit better. If you prefer pasta, as we do, ask the server to swap out potatoes, which appear to be their usual side. In addition to the menu there are always specials, some of which are pricier than expected. (Be sure to check!) Dinner was pleasant and unhurried. We appeared to be one of the few without reservations but if you come later, you may want to make them. Very strange, since they were able to take my credit card for the deposit. But whatever.... we were all very excited to go. We even decided on our meals ahead of time from their menu online, which seemed a little pricey. Well......first......they had a VERY LIMITED OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE menu for Sinatra Night! They charged $48 for Veal Piccata! In fact, nothing on the menu was cheaper than $36 and that was for pasta!!!! And....you might think that the Veal must have been delicious at that price, but it wasn't!!!! It showed up on a plate soaked in bland gloppy sauce, no garnish, no nothing. They gave me a side bowl with string beans boiled potatoes. It was like they had a bunch of side dish bowls made up ahead of time. They gave absolutely no thought to food presentation, what so ever. And then when the bill came. We had to remind the waiter to apply our $25 per person credit! If they needed to cover the cost of the singer, I get that. But why not be upfront about it and charge a cover? Why not offer your regular menu? They only had one seating all evening. So disappointing! I feel really bad about having to leave this review, because I really want them to succeed, but I really resent feeling ripped off for sub par food at a premium price. Very busy house on a Saturday night and oddly but graciously quieter than many steakhouse environs. Service is good, as should be expected with this type of "pricier" option. Plates for "finished" diners cleared before all diners were through, which is understandable but not practiced in some higher end places.
