But dear lord walking into Sciarrinos I could tell something was different, just the feeling was so warm and classic pizza place-esque. And the service, the man who was running the front was so kind and such a gentleman the entire time, got my pizza out and done very quickly. Now when I say that no pizza has ever tasted this great to me, you'd think I'd be lying, but this place has pizza down pat. Had a really good experience at Sciarrino's Pizza. I got a cheese pizza and wings, and both were fresh, hot, and really good. The pizza had plenty of cheese and a great crust, and the wings were cooked perfectly and had a lot of flavor. The owner was also really nice and welcoming. I've seen some of the rude comments people have made toward him regarding the situation with the previous ownership, and honestly, I don't think that's fair. Whatever happened behind the scenes is between the people involved, and customers shouldn't take that out on someone who was friendly and respectful to us. I'm just judging the place based on my own experience, and I had a great one. Good food, good service, and a friendly owner. I'd definitely come back for another pizza and wings. read more

Worst pizza and absolute worst customer service. Pizza came not even cooked. Cheese slide right off the pizza bc the crust was so undercooked. Called to let them know and ask for refund and they told me they would send a pizza right out. She said it would be 20 min as they already had it in the oven. 40 min later I didn't have pizza so I called to check on it and she said it would be another 40 min bc her driver just went out and didn't take my order. I asked for a refund and she told us we had to call the app that we ordered on. We were happy that Slice gave us a refund after waiting two hours. We had been here one other time and it was a similar situation but we had decided to give it another try. Never again. Update: they sent the pizza after we asked for a refund. Wanted a pizza today near that I never tried before. Sciarrino's Pizza in Springfield got the call. So this is definitely one of those tweener pizza's Delco is known for. It's not quite NY style thin. It's not quite crispy brick oven. It's not quite Greek style pan. It's somewhere in between all those, like a hand tossed with some thickness. It's got a lot of good things going for it. The dough tasted really fresh. Good amount of cheese and toppings. Perfect level of doneness. It was a big 16 inch pie for the price too. And they have smaller sizes if you wish. I like a decent amount of sauce with some distinct taste to it. This didn't have that. Seemed a little light on the sauce. To me the sauce gives the pizza its little extra oomph. Using the Dave Portnoy scale would be a 6.8. I liked it. I may not have raved about it but I liked it. read more

I saw a pizza on the background of their website https://www.sciarrinospizza.com/ and they told me that they no longer offer that. The one I did order wasn't bad- I ordered their house special pizza. I wish I had just called in rather than ordered online because they charged $1 or $2 more for ordering online when I went to pickup :/ I like that they had cream vanilla as an option for Pepsi. They use quality bread (Amaretto's I believe). Meatball sub was good. I think I like Capriotti's Meatball sub in Springfield better, but this one was certainly not worth complaining about. I wanted to try this vendor's meatball sub because they were selling some at a local event earlier, but by the time I got there (330 PM), they were closing up their stand for the day. Maybe they weren't selling a lot- I think it was better than the other offerings available as I wasn't tempted to get anything else at that local fair. I saw a review of Sciarrino's in a local FaceBook group and I wanted to try something new so I grabbed a pizza (see picture) with bacon, sausage, pepperoni and roasted peppers. If there was a 100 point rating system, I would give this an 88 (which would be one of the highest from me for a US pizza place). The crust was relatively thin (bent just at the ends when picking up a slice) and tasty, the sauce was supportive, and the toppings were tasty and plentiful. The parking is free - either street or parking lot across from the restaurant. The staff was very nice and the bathrooms were fine. read more

We went to our friends house and they ordered delivery from Sciarrino's. I can't speak to the customer service or delivery times since we weren't the ones that actually ordered. Everything arrived warm. We got a bunch of apps - boneless Buffalo wings, boneless bbq wings, broccoli bites, mozzarella sticks and fries. The boneless Buffalo and bbq wings were good. The fries were pretty salty. I didn't try the other things but our one friend loves the broccoli bites from here. My one friend got the BLT club which is a favorite of hers. It looked delicious and she very much enjoyed it. We shared two pizzas. An upside down and a Sicilian with extra cheese and extra sauce. The upside down was my favorite of the two although the Sicilian was good as well. We are big fans of upside and Sicilian pizza and these held up to some of our favorites. It might be the best kept secret in the Philly suburbs. Why? Large NEAPOLITAN pizza with 100% real mozzarella, perfect crust, rich toppings and all at a reasonable price. *AVOID AT ALL COSTS* Sciarrino's used to be our go-to place. A few weeks ago we put an order in and after 90mins called to inquire how much longer. They told us they were short1staffed and had a delivery driver call-out. Ok, fair enough. It happens and this was the first time we've had an issue. Two hours goes by, I call again and talk to the manager. He explains there was now an error and our food went out to a different address. He assured me the food was remade fresh and sent out. Two and a half hours goes by from the time the order was placed and finally the driver arrives. The pizza, while warm, may have been made fresh. The chicken fingers and fries, ice cold. The western fries, ice cold. I let a few weeks go by and cooled down from the experience and thought about how that may have been a one-off experience. I ordered tonight. They call me five mins after the order to say they don't have the lasagna I ordered. It happens, but it's annoying nonetheless. I order a substitute and wait for the delivery. I order at 5:05, supposed to be here at 5:50, doesn't arrive until 6:35. Another 90+ min delivery (and all I ordered was a cheesesteak, western fries, and two pasta dishes). Spaghetti and Meatballs, lukewarm (also only included 2 meatballs and one ladle of sauce for $13.95). Western fries, so cold the cheese was hard and the fries themselves fell apart like cold crinkle fries do. Side of ranch ordered for the fries, gave me blue cheese instead. Cheesesteak was so-so. All of this coming from a long time customer, one who worked in food service management for 20+ years and is typically very understanding of how things go behind the scenes. An hour and a half wait is unacceptable when there is no warning of such a delay and when the food arrives lukewarm to cold. A two and a half hour wait is unacceptable flat out. I will not be returning. I will not be recommending. I will add them to the running list of poorly run and overpriced-for-what-you-get food establishments in Delco. Don't get me wrong, the pizza here is good, and they run some pretty good deals. they are my go to place because of the proximity. There have been times when I have brought home a pizza and the cheese has all slid to the one side of the pie, which is very disappointing. Here are my pros in general, tasty pie, wing dings and mozzarella sticks are the way I like them. 2 sandwiches and a 1 liter bottle soda for $8.95 can not be beat! It can be any combo of a hoagie and a cheesesteak. All I can say is wow! I ordered takeout. It took about an hour to be ready which felt long because we only ordered a pizza and wings. But, you can tell they are a very popular place. Upon arriving, all of the spots in front of the pizzeria were taken. But there's a small parking lot located across from the pizzeria which made it convenient to walk over. The pizza was absolutely perfect. Like, not a thing wrong with it. Amazing sauce, cheese, and consistency. It's good New York style pizza which is hard to find around Delaware county. The wings were also very good. Traditional bar style wings. Tasty, saucy, and perfect. I think the only downside to this place is that they are a little bit of a drive for me and traffic gets really bad on Springfield road. But, overall, I am officially obsessed with this place! Sciarrinos is my go-to place for steaks - 5 stars! Pizzas are good. Hot sandwiches are hit and miss (more miss anymore- perhaps who is making them...?) We stopped ordering them. We use to love their chicken fingers but the last time we ordered (Friday early evening) I could not find the chicken finger side on the menu (without fries like the platter has - the side had extra chicken and I don't eat fries because they are soggy and cold when take out or delivered) so I called and asked for the chicken to be delivered. $8.90 something to be delivered and I gave the driver $12 to cover a tip. Opening them was an extreme disappointment. I think I got the chicken finger platter without fries. It is not a very nice place, and the rest of the menu leaves a lot to be desired. The girls working the counter have always been friendly when I pick a pie up. Now is this the best pizza I will ever have, of course not. If you are looking for good pizza in the close area this is definitely the best you are going to get. When I walked into Sciarinno's I knew my order was not going to be immediately ready as I arrived early. As I waited the customer service was great and there was some nice scenery and a television to enjoy. I did not mind the wait at all. When my order was ready I was even asked if I wanted it cooked a little more as it was on the paddle, this has never happened to me before and I loved it. My pizza was cooked just the way I liked it. The cheese was delicious, the sauce was exactly how it should be, not too tangy and not too robust, and the crust was a little on the crunchy side but also slightly soft. I order a large pizza with extra cheese on one half and the it was not needed. This pizza is great the way it is.
