Mild Wing Sauce
Jim K.

I have been eating Norwood coccos since I was a kid and it was served in school. But the last couple times I ordered the quality has been dropping. First the random switch from crinkle fries to some lame straight fries. So tonight I figured I would try again. Still no crinkle fries and to top it off the wing's really let me down. I got room temperature 9 out of 10 with 2 I wouldn't even count as a wing. Especially with the price on wing's these days.

Just order for the first time in 2 years and it has definitely gone down hill. Prices went way up and quality went down.

I prefer mine with grilled onions and mushrooms! Excellent!! They are a family owned and run business and the owner, John, is the friendliest Itallian you will ever meet! Lisa, is his wife, and only works on Fridays and if you ever get the opportunity meet this fabulous woman, she will make you feel at home with her warm smile and Philadelphia charm. The entire staff is warm and friendly and while your food is being prepared they will strike up a friendly conversation with you, by the next time you stop in its like you're family. I love coming here and i travel all the way from Hawaii just to experience this fantastic place! Prices are ridiculously inexpensive for the quality or food and service you get here and they even deliver! This place truly is a landmark and is steeped in Itallian tradition and hospitality! Oh and I almost forgot.... The calzones! You have to try their calzones!! Ugh, to die for!

The plain was average Neapolitan style pie, little on the greasy side but decent and edible. The Sicilian had a nice thickness, crispy solid crust and the sauce was a little sweet. The cheese was stringy and fresh. A decent average Sicilian. Could use a bit more flavor in the sauce, but I definitely didn't push any slices away. I would repeat a pizza order from here if closer options weren't better.

America's Pie Tinicum - The Tony Bourdain Sandwich

America's Pie is not just a pizza place, despite its name including "pie" and having some artwork…read morethat would imply that it is. Let me repeat...America's Pie is NOT just a pizza place, and while their pizza is absolutely wonderful, it is in the raw selection and quality of that broad selection that makes this place freaking outstanding. I have had the opportunity to order food from here several times over the last several years and they have one of the most unique "pizza shop" restaurant menus out there and even have a massive selection of tacos that you can pick from. I have had several opportunities to write my review of this spot, but it wasn't until I discovered something very special here that finally drove me to write my full opinion. My most recent visit to America's Pie was one born of laziness. Everyone at home wanted something different and we didn't want to cook, so we were simply looking at places that would be easy that we don't order from that often and landed here. The menu is so large that I was being indecisive and that was when I saw it...all the way at the bottom of the sandwiches section, what I have now identified as one of the top three sandwiches I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot of sandwiches: the Tony Bourdain. A strange combination of ingredients, all delicious and savory in their own right, brought together to create a bread-borne experience unlike few, if any, that I have ever had before. This seriously is one of, if not, THE BEST sandwiches that I have ever had. It is not what it looks like, or the way it is constructed that makes it so good. What makes it so amazing is the absolutely mastery and command of the knowledge of the ingredients, the quality of those ingredients, and their interaction together on the flavors they will produce when combined within the very high quality seeded roll that it all comes neatly packed within. It is not a pretty, easy to eat and clean sandwich. It gets everywhere, and it is worth it. You SHOULD get this sandwich, for the culinary perfection, but also to honor the late Anthony Bourdain. This is definitely a meal that properly honors the man and his legacy. America's Pie isn't perfect but it is one of the best pizza/sandwich/pasta places in my area of Delco. Hands down. The specialty sandwiches really take it to the next level and that Tony Bourdain shoots them into the stratosphere. You will never have a bad meal here. They are local people making great food, with a local but very friendly attitude, and want you to enjoy everything you order. Explore the menu and check them out. I made a pledge to work my way through the sandwich menu just because that sandwich was so damn good and I am excited about every single one that I check off that list. Can't wait to bump into you there!

I always customize my order with substitutions and they are always willing to accommodate, and the two times I've had an issue, they have remade my order within a short period of time. I recommend their pizza slices, sandwiches, and wraps. The staff are always wonderful. The owners do a lot for the local community, they do days where they donate proceeds and provide free pizza for the local businesses. My company has also done hoagie catering with America's Pie and it's a great deal for great food.

Gaetanos in Clifton Heights/Springfield had always held the #1 spot for the best pizza in delco because it was so unique. Unfortunately Gaetanos closed this year and as of now it looks like they aren't coming back. So what's a delco boy to do with a giant pizza slice shaped hole in their heart!? Order from Rockos, that's what! Thankfully Rockos opened up seemingly not too long ago and although I first ordered from them last year, I've now been ordering from them consistently ever since Gaetanos closed. Rocko's pizza is so addictive that I sincerely find it hard to stop eating once I start. I can easily eat more of their pizza in one sitting than any other pizza and that even includes the aforementioned Gaetanos. Rockos uses a cheese on their pizza that is so perfectly salted that it'll leave you craving for more. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside. I have 2 parrots and they will damn near assault each other for just the smallest piece of Rockos pizza crust and I totally understand why they get like that. I know some people hate the crust on pizza, but I personally love pizza crust and consider myself to be a pizza crust snob. Rockos crust is hands down the best crust I've ever had on a pizza. I friggin love it! Anyway... I'm just bloviating at this point so let me sum it all up by saying Rockos is a fairly new pizza joint, but are absolutely worth trying out! I haven't had much of their other food, I've mainly just ordered pizza, but the pizzas I've gotten here have been fantastic! I genuinely urge anyone in delco to give them a shot, I think you'll be surprised with just how damn tasty their pizza is. Hopefully they'll be around for awhile because they're now my main place for pizza. Good job Rockos! Keep up the good work.

The pizza oven is a rotating deck style which I've seen at one other Delco pizza shop before. The inside had seating and we were entertained by one of the workers cute little boy. Must have been 1-1.5 years old. Now down to the grub. The pizza ordered was a 14", came out fairly quick and was pretty big. If you like a lot of cheese and a decent amount of grease then you'll like the pizza offering here. I lean more on the sauce and like less cheese. The sauce gets lost in their pie because of the cheese. It was a nice fresh pie and was more than enough for two people. I took two slices home. We also ordered 10 buffalo wings. The wings were fresh, on the bigger side and sauced well. The hot sauce had just the right kick. We were around $30 which isn't bad. I'd repeat for the wings, they do appear to sell pizza by the slice. I noticed Corrapolese Bread boxes stacked inside the kitchen so that may give you an idea where the rolls come from. Not a bad offering coming from these friendly hardworking people.

I have to…read morepreface this review by stating that we're not big bread people and we don't like big crust on our pizza we're more of the thin crust type of crew. But WOW WOW WOW!! This Pizza lives up to its name!! it is incredible, so much so that it might end up being our new pizza joint 24/7. The crust is indescribable delicious. Has that thin layer of a cheesy taste to it? The crust is soft and warm with a crispy thin layer. Any toppings you put on this pizza are just going to be an amazing extra, so take your pic of whatever topping you wanna put on. The base of this pizza is what makes the fireworks! 5 stars- we ordered the Smallest sized pizza pizza for 2 of us as a trial and I couldn't finish my second piece. It was so filling! 4 huge slices is enough for 2 people. The best!

Now having been to both Crust locations, both Havertown and Morton, I have to say I like the Morton…read morelocation better, and this is simply because it is so much closer to my house; only about a five minute drive away. Honestly, the two spots are nearly identical, with the same features being present in both, and I am fairly sure the same owner for both, as I have seen the same gentleman behind the counter on both of my trips. The pizza is "Detroit" style, which seems to be subjective depending on the place you go, with pizza terms getting thrown around lately like they don't really mean anything. But in this case, very deliciously crispy deep crust with lots of cheese and delicious sauce and ingredients piled on top. The menu has a lot to offer, and while to some, the prices may seem high, you are getting your money's worth as between two people, one pizza here can easily last three meals. In Havertown I ordered the hot honey pepperoni burrata which is what initially wowed me on this place and when I saw that a new location was opening in Morton I had been very excited to go back. Having since had the opportunity to order from the Morton shop, I have also had the Santorini, which has red onions, spinach, tomatoes, feta, olive oil, and oregano. Yet another win, both pizzas I have had from Crust have been extremely good and I will be returning a third time and obviously more, to try the other signature pies that they offer. While may people will say no to pineapple on pizza, their Hawaiian and the South Philly will likely be my next choices! One thing I want to stress is the ordering. This is the only reason that I cannot give Crust a perfect rating. I have not used online ordering; that is one of my hang ups and that's fine. It's not an option that I like, so I don't use it. Luckily, they offer other options for ordering. However, this is where is gets weird. When you call in to order, you are answered by a very lifelike AI representative to take your order. Very uncanny actually, but just off enough that it it's very off putting and actually makes you feel uneasy in a way. It also takes several requests for it to transfer you to a real person. When calling to place an order, I have already avoided using the contact-less digital route so that I can speak to someone and I would like to talk to a human being. I have actually spoken to the owner when I originally went to Havertown about this and how much of a detractor it was for me, and potentially others, but it would appear that he has opted to not change how this service works. Obviously, I would not expect someone trying to run a restaurant to change a system they have invested in just because one person doesn't like it, but it has prevented me from calling there at least once. With that out of the way, I do think you should order pizza from here. Right away in fact. It is so good, if you think I'm wrong I invite you to contact me directly right here on Yelp and tell me how wrong I am. Because I can guarantee you I'm not. The Hot Honey Burrata is almost life-changing. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean.
