I love local places so I always try to find them. Found this one for pizza based on the high ratings I had to give it a shot. I ordered a 14" sausage and pepperoni for $18.00. The pizza looked well put together and appetizing but the flavor was not there. Really just a bland pizza for me. Maybe it's the ingredients or lack there of that didn't do anything for me. The sausage was cut into little "blocks" which was odd. Service was matching the pizza. Not a lot of effort. The restaurant was walk in only but picnic tables were available outside.

Everything my co-workers and I order from this place is simply amazing!!! I recently ordered the Calvario Tacos (Birria taco) and they were thee best I ever had! The sides that it came with amazing as well!!! This place is a 10 out of 10! The delivery is super fast so that when you get your food it's still super hot!!

Definitely not a place that was easy to see from the roadside while driving, usually that goes down one of 2 ways....thankfully it went down well! While perusing the standard options of Philly area offerings, and the places that everyone goes to, we opted to give this place a shot, as it had some rave reviews. This isn't a sit down place, and what seating they have is old school window seats facing the road and parking lot, akin to that of sandwich counter window seats - just missing the fun people watching. They offer a multitude of menu items, from soups and salads, to burgers and pizzas, and of course, a cheese steaks. Their cheese steak, with nothing else to jazz it up or to take away from the basics, was pretty tasty! 12 ounces of ribeye, sliced and chopped up and a healthy helping of cheese! We opted for the provolone version, but you can dress it up however you like! The cheese wasn't obvious, but folded in with the steak and shoved into a hoagie roll. It was simple and delicious!

A bit difficult to find but we arrived. We had no idea what to order but one of the men offered us a sample of the jalapeño crab chowder(soup). It was amazing. I loved it!! Just enough kick to make it extra primo. I can see why they are known for it. I ordered the Philly special. My husband ordered roast beed Philly. If I ever come again I'll order no broccoli rabe. There is a tiny 3 stool counter but that's it for seating. They do mostly delivery and pickup. The staff is helpful and courteous. They go out of their way to make you feel you're an important client even f it's your first time.

The staff said that is from the bar drains that are in that corner. Try to stay away from that end. The bar area also has a stage area where there is live entertainment some evenings, ranging from open mic, live bands, quizzo, DJ/dance floor, and karaoke. They also have a large screen they use to broadcast major sporting events. The restaurant tables are typical casual dining style with a mixture of free standing tables and chairs. There are separate areas for larger groups and private parties. The staff is friendly and attentive. As they get to know you, they remember your name and your usual food and drink orders. Kudos to the bartenders for knowing what "up" means! I always get my goto drink, Grey Goose up with a twist, prepared properly and generously here. Can't say that about some bars in Delco I have been to--either incorrect or overpriced. The food is overall typical for a casual dining/bar. There are some must-try items on the menu. If you like crabmeat, the Norwood tots are a different twist with how to have crabmeat. Creative! The pizzas are pretty good as well. I am very much a "purist" when it comes to what a pizza should be made of, but the cauliflower-crust is my exception. I haven't had good pizza in Delco until I had the cauliflower-crust pizza. A thin, crispy crust! Not the thick, doughy crust that I have encountered with most Delco pizza places. For those that don't like cauliflower, have no fear. The cauliflower-crust pizza does not taste like cauliflower. You would not know it contains cauliflower. There are also some great specials I have enjoyed. One special I really loved was the halibut with risotto. I could eat that EVERY day! I come here pretty often. I have come here for lunch, dinner, drinks, and held my 50th birthday party here. Always a good experience.

When I first stopped in here it was in a whim, and although they do have a selection of whimsical, sweet, dare I say, ridiculous and sweet coffee beverages, they were able to make me a traditional Italian macchiato. I had been unable to find a good, even passable REAL macchiato anywhere, and they delivered in spectacular fashion. Not only was the drink silky, strong, and small, it was made with outstanding Italian roasted espresso that has a different character than the standard, heavier-roasted American palate has come to be used to. This alone would have been enough for me to return time and time again when I was in the area, but after getting breakfast sandwich on a whim, this instantly became a weekly stop; more than that, a destination. Fast forward a few years and the initial attraction of coffee, sandwich, and friendly staff has transformed into a beautiful relationship where I can easily walk in, everyone knows me before I am all the way through the door, and even knowing my idiosyncrasies, are still excited to see me and listen to me prattle on about whatever might be the story of the day. The time spent here has given me the opportunity to try nearly everything on the menu and try every drink available. Including all the dry goods, pasta for sale, frozen trays of delicious Italian staples, and more. I am not one to just stick to the things I know I enjoy as I am always on a journey for something interesting and exciting, so whenever something shows up I am getting that rather than something in my "comfort zone". This has led to me traditionally losing interest or finding that the quality of a place declines for myself over time, especially multiple years. Not the case here at Napoletano, it has only done the exact opposite and gotten much more rewarding and somehow even more delicious and embracing of people and everyone who comes through the door. This brings me to my most recent food adventures into the menu here, the newest additions for the most part, the added amazing hoagie list. I have had two. The first I tried was the Gondolier, which I was enamored with for weeks. I had been there too early to order lunch time and time again, and then FINALLY, one day it was about time for lunch to be available and Michelle, the wonderful woman running the front of house and so much more, was able to get me this sandwich just a bit early. It had it all....outstanding bread, roasted red peppers, seriously premium meats, both standard deli and cured. However, something just missed the mark for me. I couldn't believe it. I don't know what and I don't know why. I was immediately disappointed, likely because I had hyped this up in my head for so long and I have come to expect so much from Napoletano, I simply couldn't believe that this wasn't the best hoagie I had ever enjoyed. That fact has eaten at me for at least a month now, but today that all changed, and is possibly why I finally found my voice to put all my thoughts together an write this after so many years. During my visit to say hello today, I realized it was once again right around the time where I could order sandwiches. I toyed with the thought of the cutlet sandwiches or even the Cuban which is amazing, but after going around and around and around talking to everyone working about this and that, I finally decided on another hoagie; the Sicilian. Kris, another of my favorite people along with Fanny (who was on vacation) helped me inch toward this one based on my description of my whole previous experience, and tbh is sandwich is so interestingly unique. Topped with lemon and orange zest, it doesn't sound like it would work, but once you take your first bite, you begin to examine your entire existence. Why have you never had a specialty Italian hoagie topped with citrus zest??? The question has been running through my head all day since lunch, and I still cannot understand why I haven't been enjoying something like this my entire life. So many years lost of amazing sandwich experiences.....this sandwich was so divine, despite looking slightly barren and strange, that it blew apart my entire disappointment I had been holding since the gondolier. I will absolutely try the other four in the list. I would have anyway, but this definitely took that mission off of life support and put it front and center. There are so many reasons to go to Napoletano. I could spend another thirty paragraphs writing about what is great about this place, the people, the drinks, the space, all of it. But instead of doing that, you should just go here. Even if you're not close, and enjoy!

The restaurant has a charming and casual vibe. Both gentlemen tending the floor are from Italy, adding an air of authenticity. You can choose to sit outdoors -- I really like the way the patio is arranged --or in the cozy dining room. Once seated, you're brought a plate of roasted peppers and a basket of hard rolls. I sprinkled olive oil and grated salt on the plate, which proved a good idea with the peppers and rolls. There were a number of appetizer specials, but we went with a basic Caesar salad. One order, pre-apportioned in the kitchen, was perfect for the two of us. I ordered branzino as an entree T, linguini Pescatore. The whole fish is brought out and fileted tableside. While I took a photo, it was just one unflattering shot of the head (which I'm not posting.) The branzino was mild and flakey, good, though the seasoning didn't break through the skin rendering it a little bland. Excellent grilled potatoes and vegetables completed my dinner. My husband's linguini was delish; while the pasta isn't made in house, it tasted like it could be, served al dente, of course. The tomato sauce was spicy enough to bring the dish over the top. Portobello is byob. (Another Yelper mentioned an $8 corkage fee, but unless they forgot to charge us, they disbanded the policy.) After our meal, with takeout box packed -- there was a lot of fish -- we were offered amaretto as a digestif. A nice touch! The restaurant isn't all that convenient to where we live but we enjoyed dinner enough to warrant a repeat visit. Next time I'll try something Italian. Or maybe salmon, which looked pretty good. Reservations suggested, particularly on weekends.
