Hot Wings …. Great portion size and nice peppery heat. Little lip numbing with these. Best of the 4 diff Wing styles I had.
John L.

Was in the area and grabbed 4 varieties of wings to share with staff. (They have 5 overall) The staff was friendly and the wings were nice and fresh. They state on their menu that they use Franks as a base for their Buffalo Style and alter it up a bit. Now for the good part, the chicken itself was fresh, cooked properly and great size wise. They were crispy and not chewy. Notes on the four styles: Mild - Tied with the Hot for my fav of the four. Meaty and just a light spicy kick. Nothing fancy, just a good solid wing. BBQ - Not your typical flavor. Bland and not a sweet bbq sauce as the usual BBQ Wings I'm usually a fan of. Honey BBQ - Honey cut a bit of the blandness from the regular BBQ sauce and helped these be slightly sweeter and a tick above the BBQ. Hot - Nice spicy kick, you can tell its Frank's Red Hot, good portion size, meaty and gives a nice peppery bite to your lips when you get into a few of these. All in all I'd say stick with the Hot or Mild from here. Nice staff, quality wing and good flavor on the Hot and Mild. I'll have to try another of their offerings at a later date.

Cheesesteaks and cornerstone fries
Tyler L.

I absolutely love this place, it was recommended to me by my dear friend while we were hanging out. I told him why are you getting cheesesteaks from a pizza joint? But this is one of the best cheesesteaks I've had (I live in Pennsylvania) so that's saying a lot. Also the cornerstone fries are a delicious and filling side, very unhealthy though!

Awesome decor, always find something new to look at!

Ordered a buff-chick-cheese from here while in DELCO for a quick family visit. They're just as good as I remember!

I'm surprised that I don't read about this place more often! We've ordered delivery several times…read moreand the pizza is very good. I love that they have the option of regular or thin crust because I love thin crust! They have a variety of speciality pizzas and the latest one we tried was chicken parm. The flavor is excellent! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a local pizza place.

Stopped in for a few recent lunches here. You can park on the street with annoying metered parking…read moreor park on the other side of Chester Pike and walk a couple of blocks for free. I chose the latter. I am obviously in the minority here having eaten in... most reviewers had takeout and on all three visits I was the only person seated or who entered. It's a bit cold and drafty inside, but the tables were clean and they have a big screen TV to keep you company. The girls up front I encountered on my visits were cheerful, gave good suggestions from their menu and were helping in the kitchen. The menu has so many choices, but I stuck to the standards that the staff recommended. The cheesesteak was just above average and thankfully not a drippy greasy mess! It was on a fresh toasted roll, American cheese and chopped up meat. The cheese was melted into the roll nicely, but I would have preferred more cheese added to mix in with the meat. The meat was fresh, not a grease bomb, well portioned, packed in tight with good flavors. I added some hot cherry peppers for kick and was pleased. Crinkle cut fries were fine The wings come in 10's and they offer about a dozen flavors. The staff told me sweet Asian chili and mango habanero bbq are favs, but I went with Nashville Hot and would recommend it. The skins were crispy, mix of drumettes and flats were a good portion size, sauced appropriately, the meat was juicy as heck and fall off the bone. I'd repeat wings from here for sure and the sauce was delicious. Pizza wise, I was lucky enough to walk in when a slice pie came out. Big portion sizes, sweet sauce, lots of stringy cheese, sweet and sour dough that wasn't snappy, but not soft. I enjoyed the sauce, could have used less cheese and the crust was pretty good and left a nice lingering flavor on the palate. Would I repeat the pizza? Yes, but not the plain. I would try their gourmet offerings. The menu has all pizzas at either a Small 12" or Large 16". Two slices and a bottle of water were $7.50. Their menu has a lot more than a typical pizza shop including: breakfast, kid's menu, rice platters, catering menu, dessert & ice cream also funnel cake fries. The prices are about average. Good experiences here. I'd return to try other menu items. Thanks guys!

America's Pie Tinicum - The Tony Bourdain Sandwich

America's Pie Tinicum

America's Pie is not just a pizza place, despite its name including "pie" and having some artwork…read morethat would imply that it is. Let me repeat...America's Pie is NOT just a pizza place, and while their pizza is absolutely wonderful, it is in the raw selection and quality of that broad selection that makes this place freaking outstanding. I have had the opportunity to order food from here several times over the last several years and they have one of the most unique "pizza shop" restaurant menus out there and even have a massive selection of tacos that you can pick from. I have had several opportunities to write my review of this spot, but it wasn't until I discovered something very special here that finally drove me to write my full opinion. My most recent visit to America's Pie was one born of laziness. Everyone at home wanted something different and we didn't want to cook, so we were simply looking at places that would be easy that we don't order from that often and landed here. The menu is so large that I was being indecisive and that was when I saw it...all the way at the bottom of the sandwiches section, what I have now identified as one of the top three sandwiches I have ever had in my life, and I've had a lot of sandwiches: the Tony Bourdain. A strange combination of ingredients, all delicious and savory in their own right, brought together to create a bread-borne experience unlike few, if any, that I have ever had before. This seriously is one of, if not, THE BEST sandwiches that I have ever had. It is not what it looks like, or the way it is constructed that makes it so good. What makes it so amazing is the absolutely mastery and command of the knowledge of the ingredients, the quality of those ingredients, and their interaction together on the flavors they will produce when combined within the very high quality seeded roll that it all comes neatly packed within. It is not a pretty, easy to eat and clean sandwich. It gets everywhere, and it is worth it. You SHOULD get this sandwich, for the culinary perfection, but also to honor the late Anthony Bourdain. This is definitely a meal that properly honors the man and his legacy. America's Pie isn't perfect but it is one of the best pizza/sandwich/pasta places in my area of Delco. Hands down. The specialty sandwiches really take it to the next level and that Tony Bourdain shoots them into the stratosphere. You will never have a bad meal here. They are local people making great food, with a local but very friendly attitude, and want you to enjoy everything you order. Explore the menu and check them out. I made a pledge to work my way through the sandwich menu just because that sandwich was so damn good and I am excited about every single one that I check off that list. Can't wait to bump into you there!

I am a regular customer here. I go about once a week. I do takeout, but they do have picnic tables…read moreoutside if anyone wants to eat on site. They have good pricing for good food. I always customize my order with substitutions and they are always willing to accommodate, and the two times I've had an issue, they have remade my order within a short period of time. I recommend their pizza slices, sandwiches, and wraps. The staff are always wonderful. The owners do a lot for the local community, they do days where they donate proceeds and provide free pizza for the local businesses. My company has also done hoagie catering with America's Pie and it's a great deal for great food.

Piazza Napoli Pizza - 10 Wings - Hot sauce ... fresh meat, good portion and saucing. Nice flavor. I'd repeat

Couple more bites, still needed something, I added Salt. More bites, more oregano, more salt. I then reached for crushed red peppers. How can a pizza have NO FLAVOR? crust was decent, nothing to write home about. I found this place on Yelp! since I was in the area for work. I feel really bad for the folks who gave this five stars; they obviously never had good pizza before. Only good if you are in a pinch. At least it was inexpensive.

The pizza oven is a rotating deck style which I've seen at one other Delco pizza shop before. The inside had seating and we were entertained by one of the workers cute little boy. Must have been 1-1.5 years old. Now down to the grub. The pizza ordered was a 14", came out fairly quick and was pretty big. If you like a lot of cheese and a decent amount of grease then you'll like the pizza offering here. I lean more on the sauce and like less cheese. The sauce gets lost in their pie because of the cheese. It was a nice fresh pie and was more than enough for two people. I took two slices home. We also ordered 10 buffalo wings. The wings were fresh, on the bigger side and sauced well. The hot sauce had just the right kick. We were around $30 which isn't bad. I'd repeat for the wings, they do appear to sell pizza by the slice. I noticed Corrapolese Bread boxes stacked inside the kitchen so that may give you an idea where the rolls come from. Not a bad offering coming from these friendly hardworking people.

Crust Pizzeria - SMALL Detroit White

Oh my god!!! we decided to give this place a try yesterday- we are so glad that we did! I have to…read morepreface this review by stating that we're not big bread people and we don't like big crust on our pizza we're more of the thin crust type of crew. But WOW WOW WOW!! This Pizza lives up to its name!! it is incredible, so much so that it might end up being our new pizza joint 24/7. The crust is indescribable delicious. Has that thin layer of a cheesy taste to it? The crust is soft and warm with a crispy thin layer. Any toppings you put on this pizza are just going to be an amazing extra, so take your pic of whatever topping you wanna put on. The base of this pizza is what makes the fireworks! 5 stars- we ordered the Smallest sized pizza pizza for 2 of us as a trial and I couldn't finish my second piece. It was so filling! 4 huge slices is enough for 2 people. The best!

Now having been to both Crust locations, both Havertown and Morton, I have to say I like the Morton…read morelocation better, and this is simply because it is so much closer to my house; only about a five minute drive away. Honestly, the two spots are nearly identical, with the same features being present in both, and I am fairly sure the same owner for both, as I have seen the same gentleman behind the counter on both of my trips. The pizza is "Detroit" style, which seems to be subjective depending on the place you go, with pizza terms getting thrown around lately like they don't really mean anything. But in this case, very deliciously crispy deep crust with lots of cheese and delicious sauce and ingredients piled on top. The menu has a lot to offer, and while to some, the prices may seem high, you are getting your money's worth as between two people, one pizza here can easily last three meals. In Havertown I ordered the hot honey pepperoni burrata which is what initially wowed me on this place and when I saw that a new location was opening in Morton I had been very excited to go back. Having since had the opportunity to order from the Morton shop, I have also had the Santorini, which has red onions, spinach, tomatoes, feta, olive oil, and oregano. Yet another win, both pizzas I have had from Crust have been extremely good and I will be returning a third time and obviously more, to try the other signature pies that they offer. While may people will say no to pineapple on pizza, their Hawaiian and the South Philly will likely be my next choices! One thing I want to stress is the ordering. This is the only reason that I cannot give Crust a perfect rating. I have not used online ordering; that is one of my hang ups and that's fine. It's not an option that I like, so I don't use it. Luckily, they offer other options for ordering. However, this is where is gets weird. When you call in to order, you are answered by a very lifelike AI representative to take your order. Very uncanny actually, but just off enough that it it's very off putting and actually makes you feel uneasy in a way. It also takes several requests for it to transfer you to a real person. When calling to place an order, I have already avoided using the contact-less digital route so that I can speak to someone and I would like to talk to a human being. I have actually spoken to the owner when I originally went to Havertown about this and how much of a detractor it was for me, and potentially others, but it would appear that he has opted to not change how this service works. Obviously, I would not expect someone trying to run a restaurant to change a system they have invested in just because one person doesn't like it, but it has prevented me from calling there at least once. With that out of the way, I do think you should order pizza from here. Right away in fact. It is so good, if you think I'm wrong I invite you to contact me directly right here on Yelp and tell me how wrong I am. Because I can guarantee you I'm not. The Hot Honey Burrata is almost life-changing. Give it a try and you'll see what I mean.
