Just got a take-out order from Poseidon's today 1/28/26 . In addition to the usual [lg plain & lg pepperoni pizzas] this was my first time ordering their 'Upside Down' pizza,I got it topped with pepperoni. 'Excellent' would sum it up pretty well.The Upside Down was PERFECTLY cooked with just a hint of char on the bottom and top of the crust.Crust was crispy on the outside with a nice amount of soft chewiness to the crust and the sliced Mozzarella cheese as the base.Plenty of sweet tomato sauce and crispy pepperoni on top.Perfect! Long-time Delco pizza nerds may fondly remember Gaetano's Pizza over in Springfield and Clifton Heights (RIP 2021) :( ...call me crazy,but this Upside Down really reminds me of their pizza.. just with a thin crust rather than in the deep-dish style. My brother and I stopped there and bought two Stromboli's. One cheesesteak and one pepperoni pizza Stromboli. Some of the worst food I've ever had from a pizza place. First of all they were burnt black on the top and bottom and there was barely anything on the inside. I had to dig through the onions and cheese just to find a few small pieces of "steak". The pepperoni pizza Stromboli my brother got was equally pathetic with only a few paper thin slices of pepperoni. Literally a joke. First time, last time. And they were like $18 each! Clearly they don't care about customer satisfaction whatsoever. And the worst part, there was nobody there but us. It was 8 o'clock at night and there was no big rush that would explain the low quality. They just suck. read more

I've found my favorite "normal" pizza in Delco, thus far. Went with their standard upside down with sausage. Really good! It wasn't greasy at all, it had a great bake on it, it maintained its shape when you picked it up... outstanding. Exactly what you want in a pizza. Also got the pumpkin pizza as a dessert. Also really good. Never had a pizza like that before, but is absolutely order it again. Really fun pizza to eat. Heavy on the fall baking spices and had a little kick to it. Terrific. Fried mushrooms were on point. Get the pedal sauce. Much better than the marinara. I have found my go-to pizza place in Delco, but I'll keep exploring. read more

Good sandwiches but it can be a hit or miss sometimes. The first time I had the Philly style chicken cutlet sandwich with broccoli rabe, it was incredible. The second time, the chicken was a bit dry and chewy. Same with my husband's cheesesteaks - the first one was really delish and full of meat but the second one, not so much. That said, we do want to give the pizza a try sometime. And we will most likely get sandwiches again at some point. The service was good and quick and it's a cute place. read more

We just tried Poseidon for the first time this week and have already ordered again! Their vodka and prosciutto pizza is outstanding - the ingredients are high quality, the dough is perfect and airy while still retaining its structure. Haven't been in a while. Disappointed. Crust was not crispy but chewy. It was always perfectly crispy before. Girlfriend had burger and fries. They changed the fries. They used to be outstanding now lousy. Burger meat didn't even taste as good as it used to. It's not cheap here. Anyway, probably won't return. What an unfortunate shame! This place was awesome! Celebrated my friend's birthday at Poseidon tonight! It couldn't have been more perfect! We all had a long work day and totally enjoyed a relaxing, delicious dinner tonight. We ordered mushroom pizza, Sunday salad, cheesesteak egg rolls and the Gabber sandwich on a seeded roll! Wow! The pizza was cooked to perfection.... It was light and crispy.... The salad with pepperoni and cheese was so good with the cheesesteak egg rolls. And then the Gabber with chicken and mozzarella on the seeded roll! Omg!!! You have to go and try it... worth the calories! The Poseidon team was attentive and hospitable. They heard it was my friend's birthday and gave us mini cannolis to enjoy! I've lived in this area for a long time and we needed a spot like this to open. I went here on opening day and they were packed. I knew there would be a wait because, hello it's opening day and a lot of trial and error is expected to occur. I ordered a vodka pie, a Margherita pie, a cheesesteak with fried onions, and fries. Everything was delicious, but I do think the meat on the cheesesteak could have been a bit more seasoned and a little more cheese could have been mixed in. Again, could have just been the first day so not holding it against them at all! Staff was very friendly and communicative with each other! The pies were great! It's brick oven so you're paying for the quality. The vodka sauce was so delicious! So excited for this place and can't wait to try more stuff. read more

They've only been open for a few months and still don't have the kinks worked out yet, but they're aware. I ordered a small cheesesteak Stromboli. Was it the best I've ever had? No. Was it the worst? No. It definitely needed more filling. The flavor is there. It could have been bigger and the employee told me they're figuring out the oven so the top may look overcooked (see pictures). It definitely looks burnt but didn't taste it. Things they're doing well: good customer service, clean dining room and delicious marinara sauce. Not sure if I'd come back though. Needed a place to get pizza before the Union game. Poseidon is new and very clean. Staff was super friendly and attentive. We ordered a large pizza and Caesar salad at the register and found a table. They have a long window counter and about 6 tables to eat in. The salad was fresh and good. The pizza was delicious. The sauce was tasty and the pepperoni and sausage was great. Will definitely eat here again before a game. Traveled an hour to get here, but it was worth it and a great find. read more

Different cheesesteak #1097 in the last five years. This cheesesteak needed to be better. Amigo Dan and I got the pizza on a 2nd trip and liked it. 50 cents for fried onions. I've having a very tough time with places charging for fried onions on a cheesesteak. The fried onions were plentiful and did add a lot of flavor. The meat and cheese was very good. Glad we finally tried this place! The pizza was extra delicious and had lots of flavor. The Luna mozzarella was perfect and better than your average mozzarella stick. The "chicken tenders" are huge and more like chicken cutlets and seasoned nicely. The buffalo "chicken tenders" were just as big and were the perfect amount of spicy. WORTH THE WAIT Moved into this area of Delco in 2020 and quickly saw the Poseidon Pizza sign and have been wondering if / when it would open. Finally opened a few months ago, and got to order today. I can honestly say this was totally worth the wait and more. The order: Small plain pizza - wanted to try a basic to see how it would be, and this was probably the best pizza I have had since moving to DelCo 5ish years ago. The only place potentially comparable is Brothers Pizza in on Baltimore Pike, but this for today was better. Chicken Cheesesteak w/ fried onions - once again delicious, though you should know that the chicken is chunks vs tiny shreds. I prefer this, so loved it. Fries - obviously from frozen, but some of the better frozen fries I have had. Ordered online this AM for pickup tonight and everything was done and ready and waiting at the scheduled time. Interior looked great, definitely a place I wouldnt mind having a quick stop for lunch. Overall great food and convenient location (I live a few minutes down the road) and will definitely be back. Really good pizza, great sandwiches and the best cannolis I've ever had. However, they cheap out on the wings. Sauce is great but the wings are what you'd expect from a cheap 24 hour diner. No complaints here. After it took four years to open and had a nautical name (seafood pizza? Poison pizza? Lol So confused waiting for the opening! Fried clams? Shrimp pizza? We did not know what to expect!) We did NOT expect an upscale, "step up from your traditional pizza" place. Not greasy, refined, New York style pizza. You could order for a date at home with wine and feel like it was a nice night. The pie itself is so good! Chewy, unusually good crust, amazing sauce, high quality cheese. Pierogies also fantastic - only comment is that they kind of steamed each other while on the drive home, so not as crispy as I expected. My only "note" is that I'd love it a little bit crispier on the crust, which I'm sure they'll work over time. read more

But don't be mislead, the toppings are sparse and the ingredients nothing special. If this was cheap pizza, i probably wouldn't go out of my way for it but id eat it if in the area. Fabulous Fall Flavors!! We tried all of the new specials and added in some of our favorites from the regular menu. If you are a pumpkin fan you MUST try the pumpkin pizza. The addition of honey just takes it over the top. We loved the butternut squash risotto with the crab cake as well. I mean look at that plating! My husband and I stopped in for pizza while running errands in the area. Service at the counter was great. The staff were polite and proactive, explaining their house style of white pizza, which we ordered. The seating area was very clean with a modern look. We got the small white pizza with half pepperoni to share/dine-in. Staff delivered the pie to our table and let us know where the herbs/cheese/peppers were located if we needed any. Pizza was great -- tender and chewy crust, good quality ingredients, and good sauce/cheese/topping ratio. 3.5 Stars Let me start by saying service was great I placed an order for pickup over the phone and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, and it was, staff was friendly, no complaints. I ordered a vodka pie, half pepperoni pie, some cheese fries, and a chicken finger platter for the kids. Altogether it was like 60 ish dollars. The vodka pie was my favorite by far. Crust on both pizzas was really good, overall the vodka pie was better. The half pepperoni was just ok, not enough cheese for my liking and the sauce was very ok. All in all a bit expensive in my opinion. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back again but I wouldn't say no either if I was passing by. read more
