    Chicken parm for the win.
    Ian S.

I've walked by Lariele dozens of times in Media, and have always been intrigued - so glad I got the opportunity to check it out during a recent midday lunch early in the week. We were seated promptly, and our server, Jenna, was incredible throughout the meal. Friendly, attentive, quick with a recommendation or a refilled water glass - fantastic from the jump. The vibe inside is simple, clean, and lovely. The food is all made to order, but everything came out quickly and perfectly. The Sicilian wings my friend ordered looked and smelled delicious, but I took the recommendation and loved my chicken parmesan over spaghetti - a triumph. The chicken was breaded and cooked perfectly, and was flavorful and not overwhelming. The pizza also looked and smelled incredible - I'm going to have to go back and try a few of their original, yummy choices. The price was right, and it really was a pretty perfect lunch. It's BYO, so bring your libations of choice and enjoy. Excited to go back and check it out again soon!

    Cold $22 vodka pizza

Got the vodka pizza and chicken parm. Pizza was completely cold when it came out. Flavor was okay but since it was cold + okay flavor it's not worth $22 that I paid. The chicken parm itself was good and hot but the pasta that came with it was horrible, the pasta sauce was so watery and the pasta was soft, again not worth the $22 that I paid. Surprisingly airplane food was better than that pasta... Just wasted $46. Service was good though, friendly.

Had a great dinner with a small group of friends on a weeknight during Media Restaurant Week. The restaurant had a nice vibe, safe spacing, and the food was delicious! BYOB is also such a great thing. We all opted for the Restaurant Week deal: $25 for salad or meatballs, personal pizza, and a slice of cheesecake but we also were not shy with appetizers! The meatballs were good and also pretty large. Caesar salad was very decent and a good size. Also ordered the egg rolls which were tasty but I wish they had a different sauce. Truffle fries were also enjoyed. The pizzas we had were margarita, pepperoni, the nanny (I recommend!) and a vodka pie for the table. The personal pizzas were thinner than the normal sized pie but just as delicious. The Nanny was a unique pizza that's not a true white pie but the balsamic and tomatoes added nice acid. The vodka pie was also delicious!! It was a very doughy pie so I think I would have liked more sauce but the crispy prosciutto was great. The Restaurant Week deal really was the way to go. Great spot for a date, family meal, and pizza that's nicer than your average pizza shop. They do a lot of take out but it's just as nice sitting inside.

We had dinner at this BYOB in downtown Media. There is metered street parking which is enforced Monday through Saturday until 6pm. There aren't many tables so I was glad we'd made reservations. April gave us good suggestions for our meals. We started with prime rib egg rolls. They had a good ratio of meat to cheese with a delicious horseradish crema. They were crispy and not greasy. We also had the ala vodka pizza. The crust was perfectly crispy and the toppings were also a good ratio to the crust. We really liked that it was BYOB plus they serve Coke products. We also like that they take reservations. We definitely plan to return. Delicious!!!

We split a ceasar salad (not shown), Alla Vodka Pizza with Prosciutto, and the Traditional Roman Red pizza!

We were in the city earlier and weren't having good luck finding a decent restaurant that would take walk ins. We left the city and headed over to Media. I was able to make a quick reservation online and our table was ready by the time we arrived. I am giving 4 stars due to this place being BYOB and the service being a little slow. We split the ceasar salad which had homemade croutons and it was delicious! We also ordered the Alla vodka pizza which had prosciutto on it and the traditional roman red. The prosciutto was a nice touch adding some salty to the creamy pizza. The dough was fresh and fluffy! I would come back if I need a place in a pinch.

Poppy pizza supposed to have sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms. Where's the sausage??? Pepperoni so thin can't find and mushrooms are sparse.

Haven't eaten yet. Need to reheat to get crisp but topping are sparse for a $21 pizza. WTH Ok so reheated To try to crisp. Maybe eating in house is better??? But to be honest I ordered door dash, spent over $30 to have a pizza worse than if I bought I stouffers French bread pizza at the acme. Sucked

Flop is good on a New York slice, not on this sorry slice.

Lariele, Lariele what ever happened to your good taste? Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and Lariele has reached that end. I'm willing to pay a lot for a good pizza but $27.50 for an underdone poorly cooked soggy flop pie. Nope. Go to Santucci's or Pica's.

The experience here truly was just ok. It looks like a cool spot, modern wooden tables & chairs. Their pizza oven is the main attraction, and looks pretty impressive. Unfortunately, the pizza didn't really live up to the hype. They really did a nice job advertising the oven and the pizza, but the quality wasn't all there. The sauce was pretty mild, had a heavy tomato taste, not much herb/spice - didn't feel homemade. The dough also could have been cooked more to be a wood-fired grill pizza. Hardly any char, and it was chewy (not like thats a bad style of pizza, just not what I was anticipating.) It was good, but would be open to trying pizza from one of the other many pizza joints on the main drag there. Their menu was great though - lots of options just for pizza variety, but they offer other Italian entrees as well. They also offer beer & wine! In addition, we ordered the truffle fries, which again, were good, but nothing to write home about. This is just one example that shows their menu is a little more elevated than just a corner pizza shop. If you live close to this spot or are looking for speciality pizza, then I say go for it & give it a try. If not, I would keep your options open.

5 raviolis in a very very weak vodka sauce.

It feeds with equal care the souls who never left, the faithful and the wanderers who departed yet return whenever the heart grows heavy. Whether one stayed rooted in Media or lived the same boyhood as our traveler with daily walks to Rose Tree Elementary, counter duty at Old Chester Steaks, the proud opening of Joycelyn's, and countless 1 dollar meals sustained by Tiny T's Just sayin....Van Horn's delivers the genuine article. No compromises. Only home. Unwrap after the long journey, eyeball a long Italian roll soft and firm enough to hold its treasures across 3000 miles. I ordered the Satchmo, a buffalo chicken, Italian hoagie, ham hoagie, 4 chicken tenders and fries which came to a grand total of $85. Phew. This was my first time here, but I've heard the food and cheese steaks were great so I was ok with things at this point. I placed my order for pickup and was told it would be 20 minutes. I came in around the 20ish minute mark and waited for 25 more minutes. There was only 1 other person waiting with me. I did see 3-4 other people come in pickup and leave while I waited, but it wasn't busy by standards. While waiting is when I when I observed how unorganized and dis shoveled the staff were. The lady upfront was kind, attentive, and seemed to be running the show putting orders together. But, when she asked for help she didn't get any. She asked another staff member to help bag a specific sandwich for an order, several times, and it went in the guys ear and right out the other. I could also hear them scrambling in the back working on my order, and complaining about how many Italian hoagie orders came in right at the same time. Maybe they were behind, maybe they accidentally let mine go with a different order? This is all speculation but they were definitely overwhelmed and it shouldn't have taken that long for my order. The cheese steaks were good, and the Italian hoagie was very hearty! They do not skimp on meat, but the hoagie bread was so hard most of it was thrown away. I don't care for shredded gums. Overall, not a good first time experience. Minus a star for the price, minus a star for the delayed pickup time, and minus 1/2 for the rock hard Italian hoagie bread. The steaks were good but everything else outweighed the food quality.

So we look for restaurants where we don't feel bad staying a while - mainly that have ample seating so we're not taking up a table someone else needs, no table service so we're not keeping a server from turning the table over and getting their full tips, and doesn't close too early. This honeygrow ended up being an excellent choice. First off, the food was delicious. The touchscreens allow for easy ordering, and our orders were ready very quickly. We all got stir-frys. They were prepared as ordered and tasted great. Fresh ingredients, tasty sauces, and a great value for the quality and portion size. One friend got a honeybar, and it looked so delicious that I went back up to the screens to order my own after I'd finished my stir-fry. Try the new lemon mousse base for the honeybar - it's delicious! And as I mentioned, we talk. And talk and talk. And the next thing we knew we'd been there almost 3 hours! But the staff never made us feel unwelcome. In fact, we were on a first name basis with them by the time we left! Michael chatted and joked with us, and Angelina offered to clear our trays from our table and told us not to rush out because we had another hour before they closed. We appreciated their friendliness and hospitality, and we'll be coming back again to eat and talk! The only negative about this location is the sun glare that comes in windows of the dining room as the sun is setting at dinner time. Not sure there's much that can be done, but maybe a shade on the windows? We wore our sunglasses at the table for a bit so we weren't blinded until the sun went behind a tree. Otherwise the dining area is clean and comfortable, and they also have outdoor seating which seemed popular last night with the warmer weather.

I decided to get the coco-loco smoothie while the person I was sitting with got the "it's bananas" banana bowl. My coco-loco smoothie was great! It was made up of bananas, cacao powder, peanut butter, coconut flakes, dark chocolate chips and almond milk. Really good! Great ratio of ingredients. The peanut butter and chocolate flavors both stood out. They also drizzled someone peanut butter on the side of the cup, which was a nice touch. I tried some f the banana bowl, which was also spectacular. The bananas were nicely whipped and the fruit including bananas, strawberries and blueberries on top of the whip were fresh. Someone at home picked up a coco-loco smoothie for me on Friday and I went back today after first going on Thursday. After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy!
