We happened to be in Media for a late morning checking out the Free Shop for the very first time, a place I had never heard about when we decided that a bite ti eat was necessary before heading up to the Glen Mills area for my younger daughter's haircut. After walking down State for about a block, we settled on 320 as a good place to stop to get something that would be tasty but also quick enough to get us in and out the door in enough time to be on our way but also provide a wide enough selection for the three of us to select something that we each wanted. Being fans of 320 Market in Swarthmore, I was used to this place when we went inside, although it is markedly different from the location that we usually go to. The space is a little bit more sparse and feels less like a market than the one in Swarthmore, but the staff is still nice, and the colors are bright, and the selections are still wide and vary across the spectrum of flavors enough to make everyone happy. I ordered pierogis at the counter as did my daughter, and my wife ordered spanakopita and then we were told to take a seat anywhere we liked. I do know that they obviously had to prepare everything fresh which is one reason that we like 320, but I also know, the spanakopita is coming from a much larger sheet and the pierogis only have to be fried and plated. For some reason things were taking an extremely long amount of time. The spanakopita came out relatively quick but was a little cold in the center. Still tasted delicious, but not ideal. However, the pierogis took forever. Not sure why because this was prime lunch time, around 11:30 and they weren't busy. Either way, when they did come out, they were played brilliantly, but I had to ask the wonderful guy at the counter to put them into containers so that my daughter and I could take them with us due to our fine constraints. He was more than happy to help and did his best to arrange them nicely in the containers, but for some reason the manager seemed to have a problem with the fact we ordered them to sit down and then asked to have them put into containers. He protested to some extent, albeit not directly to me, but when I looked in his direction alarmedly (which I'm not sure is even a word, lol) he simply stopped and went back to his other conversation). Even after our fifteen minute drive, the pierogis were superb and obviously made by hand from scratch. While I do like the other 320 Market location better and go there much more frequently just based on proximity to my home, this one was also good. I would go here again, and if you are in Media and need a good place for well-made delicious foods and interesting beer and wine that you won't find anywhere else, this is definitely your spot to go. There are many different choices of restaurants in Media to select from, but this is one place that is set up a bit differently, more like a "market" as described in its name. Go and check them out if you've never been, I bet there's something there that you'll enjoy! read more

Market 320 is such a gem! We stopped in and tried the chimichurri wings (they were on special) and the tofu sandwich--both were delicious. The wings were packed with flavor and had a great kick, and the tofu sandwich was fresh, filling, and really well done. The service is quick and friendly, and there's a cool mix of offerings--plenty of fresh, made-to-order options, plus take-home meals if you're in a rush. The pizza smelled amazing as soon as we walked in, so that's definitely on our list to try next time. They also carry a smaller selection of fresh produce and grocery items, along with a bunch of unique snack choices you won't find just anywhere. Visiting from out of town, I knew I needed to get a place for dinner close to PHL airport, so I scoped out this spot. The website seemed to describe a place that was creative, happy, and offering fresh and tasty fare. Could not have been more impressed: I ordered the "Media Bowl," which was abundant with greens, veggies, chicken and flavor. Beyond the food itself (which was the main attraction), the vibe was so friendly, as was the service. And I've rarely visited an establishment where it was so evident that people loved being there. I'm not sure why this place has low ratings. I went with a group of friends for trivia night, and we had an amazing time! The servers were super friendly, and the food was good too. The first time I came I had the Cubano which was delicious and highly recommend! The second time I got their chicken parm and it wasn't my favorite. However, their trivia night is free and fun! Found a dead fly in the bottom of my prepackaged salad today after a few sub par visits. May be the last for a while. 320 market is overpriced, but I always used to justify this by telling myself I was buying high quality delicious food. I'm not sure this is really true at all. During my recent visit, I can attest that: 1) the fruit bowl was more expensive than Whole Foods but not organic. 2) I was sold a day old prepackaged the salad with wilted lettuce and a DEAD FLY in the bottom. 3) I grabbed four packages of ketchup for my sandwich from the self serve bowl on the counter. Two had already been opened and used, which I realized later. It's fine in there aesthetically, the employees are fairly nice (CS could be better but it's not terrible), I just don't think I can justify the cost based on the mediocracy of late. read more

This place is awesome. It's a specialty market with a cool bar in the back of the store. The store itself is small but has a great selection of prepared food (meatballs, chicken, etc.) as well as salads and plenty of other items. You can also buy beer and wine here. In my opinion, the bar is the star of the show. There are probably 8-10 seats and the service is always great. You can't beat the $9 glasses of red wine (3 different kinds). I come by here after work quite a bit. They also have a great tap list. You'll find Hill Farmstead here which I didn't know they were even able to get, and its on tap! They also get Heady Topper and Focal Banger from The Alchemist here (cans only). Hill Farmstead and Alchemist beers are usually only found in Vermont so this place has quite the hookup. read more

320 Market's prices are Out. Of. Control. I just spent $50 on 3 mahi tacos, 1 draft beer, 1 mac n cheese kids meal and 2 juice boxes. That's right, I had my boys split a kids meal and it still came to 50 bucks. The draft beer was $12.50. Am I at a Phillies game? The mac n cheese was clearly boxed Kraft. They charged me for avocado, which I never got as well. Also, they don't have a full service waitstaff. You end up feeling obligated to tip, but all they do is bring your food to your table. It is a good marketplace with overpriced beer and wine that is pretending to be a restaurant. read more

Proactive communication helps customers to calibrate expectation. When I went to the counter to inquire the young lady looked at my receipt and said it would be soon without ever checking. Guys- I love a delco spot as much as the next guy, but why can't we just get what we ordered? I ordered two lunch items today. The turkey divinny and the eggplant sandwich. Both tasted delicious, but I wanted the turkey on a wrap and I wanted the entire eggplant sandwich order! My turkey came on a roll and the eggplant sandwich didn't have half of the items listed on the menu on the sandwich. Where was the broccoli rabe!? It's just sad when you pay $15 for a delish sandwich but you don't get what you asked for. The man at the counter was very nice and gave me some cookies as a trade off for the frustration, but it was just overall more of a hassle than I needed to have for a lunch order! read more

Really disappointing. I found myself in Media and really just wanted to find a comfortable coffee shop to plop down in but the only thing I found was inside a bank with uncomfortable seating, so I went to this place instead. I ordered the chicken parm with spaghetti out of the display case ($10.99) and I guess it didn't occur to me that they were literally going to warm up what was sitting in the case. So when they brought it to my table, they had over-re-heated it. The spaghetti had burn marks as did some of the crust on the chicken. Worse than that it had really no flavor at all. They put the cheese and sauce on top of the spaghetti which was directly on top of the chicken, so there was no melted cheese ON the chicken, and the sauce was scant at best. The chicken tasted it like it had no spices or flavoring at all save for the parm crust which was sub-par. IT was a huge portion, to be fair. That plus a small coffee for $2.25 and tax came out to $14.03, which wasn't worth it. It's a decent atmosphere inside though. Generic almost chipotle resembling decor. Weirdly though today it was full of moms with their babies. Side note, I wanted a nice cup of water with my meal, and all they offered was a "water station" with teeny tiny water cups. I just feel like a paying customer should be afforded a regular size glass of water, with lemon if they like, as is standard. It's two stars because the barista/cashier was nice (he did forget my coffee though, I had to remind him). read more

This new outlet for the growing 320 Market shops opened up in December 2011 to provide a much needed, wonderfully tasting, gourmet rapid food selection for the quaint and upscale Media PA market. Located on a footprint much smaller than its sister store in Swarthmore, its selections are necessarily limited. Still, the selections are outstanding. Cheeses gallore, incluiding Oregon's world-class award-winning Rogue River Blue Cheese Creamery, and other similar superb cheeses. And high-quality freshly cooked food moderately priced, including awesome crab cakes, several types of beef, chickens and fish, as well as vegetables. With all this variety, it's hard to justify cooking at home... :-) The store also has a wide variety of sandwiches to order, both hot and cold selections, with prime ingredients. My sister and I decided to order 2 tuna sandwiches. One with cheese and one without. Once we arrived one of our orders were wrong and both the manager and the employee made us feel uncomfortable by acting as if it was our fault. He asked can he just remove my cheese off the sandwich. First I said yes but then after I seen him picking over my sandwich I asked for another one to be made. I also had to ask for him to put on gloves. Later on I noticed him walk away from station with the gloves on, come back with lettuce, rinse the lettuce off with water and put it on the sandwich with the same gloves. I immediately asked for a refund and received an attitude from Drew the manager. Not one apology was offered the entire time. This place lacks simple sanitation standards and the attitude is horrific. Never again. read more

My three daughters and I decided to check out the 320 Market Café over the holidays. It was a pretty cool little place - there's a nice assortment of prepared foods in cases when you first walk in. Off to the right is a seating area, which, after asking the girl at the counter, we found out you just seat yourself and order at the counter. Our food didn't take too long and it was all pretty good - tacos (the brisket was crisped up just a bit too much, but otherwise both tacos were good), a chicken cutlet sandwich (with broccoli rabe, provolone and roasted peppers), a tomato and mozzarella flatbread, and a veggie burger. We also got, of course, the pico de gallo with avocado that is apparently a favorite there and it was great - no complaints. There's also a bar behind the counter area but it didn't look like anyone was sitting there when we were there. The only thing I didn't like about the café was it was a bit cramped feeling. Basically, once the table caddy cornered to us was filled, two of my daughters were pretty much stuck in the corner until it was time to squeeze out of there and leave. Pricewise - I guess it's a little high, but it's Media, and the fact that it's counter service and you don't have to tip makes it a little easier on the wallet. read more

I love 320 cafe! I have to say their Swarthmore Cafe is the best but Media's is very yummy too. This one is really more cafe than market, with fewer of their pre packaged apps and dips etc. But it's an adorable cafe with ample seating. They sell burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and of course their famous chips and pico guac dip. They sell beer as well. Get the veggie burger! Added pics! read more

Awhile back; i did the Pest Control Service for this particular 320 Market Cafe in Media; Pa. The Staff here is fanatical about keeping a clean premises ; and the Food here is Good. Good beer and wine selection. Make sure you pick up their homemade chips and pico de gallo. Always a hit when I bring it anywhere. They have a deli counter if you're looking for a quick bite. All food here is usually pretty good. A little on the pricier side. They also have a location in Swarthmore worth checking out. There's more sit-down space at the one in Media though. Stopped in with a friend for dinner on a Saturday night and overall had a good experience, though I would argue that the atmosphere is 4/5 while the food itself was more like 3/5, hence my overall rating. It's definitely a great wine and cheese with the girls kind of place, though I'm not sure I'm a fan for dinner. The restaurant itself has the perfect ambiance for a Saturday night out, and the extensive beer/wine menu is made better by the option to order flights so you can try 4 of the options when you're feeling indecisive. The local cheese plate was delicious --- three different local cheeses, fresh bread, and fresh fruit was the perfect little appetizer. I had the pork tacos for my meal, and these fell a bit short for me. They were fully loaded with pork, but I felt the pork lacked flavor, and the "roasted pineapple guacamole" was far more bland that I had hoped as well. I tried the Chicken Caesar Salad for lunch the other day, it was a little pricy for the size of it, but I wasn't really shocked because I feel like everything is a bit highly priced to begin with anyway. The salad was super fresh, the chicken was good, but I'd suggest that they cut it into smaller pieces because it was hard to eat without dicing up. The chicken was in chunks, rather than pulled or diced; each person is different so you may like the chicken chunks. The cheese was delicious on the salad and the greens were fresh. Now, to me the salad dressing can make or break a salad. I'd have to say I was totally on the fence about their Caesar dressing. It didn't have eggs in it, and I'm assuming no sardines either (yes! a traditional Caesar has sardines!). The consistency of the dressing was almost like a apple sauce; it was good, but not the best that I've ever had. All in all it was a good salad and I would like to try the other options some time soon. read more

Came here with a couple of friends as we were waiting for our dinner reservations. Upon entry, you would think that you were at a supermarket, then a cafe, then bar, then a restaurant. Actually, it's sort of all of the above! They have a menu with apps and entrees but they also have a moderately sized beer selection including drafts. They've also got wines and mixed drinks. My friends and I each had a draft beer. We didnt get to try any of the food but they looked pretty good based on our neighbor's food! The place itself is small. The front part of the store sells many cheeses and packaged foods. The people were nice and the place was clean and seemed like a very casual place to have a drink. I think I might come back next time for beer and apps!! read more
