The best pizza in the area no doubt. Great owners, very passionate staff! I come here all of the time. Garlic knots may be best everrrrrrr

PIZZA FRIES

Service with a smile. These guys are hustlers in a small sweat shop with great food coming out hot and fresh. I got the pizza fries, which were hands down the best I've eaten. FRESH BASIL a lot of cheese and sauce covering CRISPY fries. Y'all it's a banger!

By far the best cheesesteak I've had in years and possibly ever. Incredibly long wait- we waited 41 minutes for our food. Their flattop stove is way too small for the amount of volume they make. They get packed as soon as they open. Call and order ahead rather than ordering there and waiting if you're able. They open at 11 and weren't taking phone orders. Cheese steak- worth the wait. One of the best I've ever had. Great seasoning and flavor of the steak. Very cheesy Crunchy roll, doesn't get too soggy fast. Square pizza- was meh ok, not anything to rave about. Tons of seasoning which flavors are a bit overpowering. Small seating section in the back- small and dark. Dirty dive bar feeling. The girl at the front was very friendly and helpful.

This pizza is so good i can't stop thinking about it. Great dough, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, great guys work there . We've had it a few times now, also their cheese steaks are outstanding as well. I suggest eating in the no frills place, it's so good out of the oven. It's a must have pizza.

I went back and tried the cheesesteak. There is a reason it's not called Johnny's cheesesteaks. The steak was tender, onions, cooper sharp. Just not as good as the pizza.

I LOVE a great pizza spot that also slings out great cheesesteaks. A gem that doesn't need the all those advertisements that others depend on. Johnny's has been doing it right ever since they took over the old Pizzi Pizza. Picture this kiddies, fresh sliced rib-eye waiting to be thrown on that grill. Perfect marbleized cut after cut of that rib-eye will give you that great flavor with every bite. Now that I gave you somewhat of a visual of the quality type of meat to expect , lets go a little further. What makes a great sammy? Some say it's the ingredients and prep work. Others say its the establishment and traditions behind it. My friends it is all about that bread, the foundation behind it. That is where you start this masterpiece, and Johnny's has it my friends. Yes the tradition is important, and they follow it to the "T" but it starts with the choice of bread. Now onto that pizza that has me screaming obscenities', literally I'd smack a nun in the mouth for this. Obviously I'd put powdered sugar in my hand to give her that sweet blissful experience. A square pie , simple , easy, throw some sausage on there, and yea this is winning all day. So. Frigging. Good. Add a sesame seed crust with that hot honey drizzle over it, and I'm telling you you'll be moaning. Soft, subtle euphoric moans as your taste buds are going crazy. Ok , as you can see from the other Yelpers we're not lying about this. Sooo just stop reading this, and get in there.

During a work trip, I decided I wanted to try a Philly cheese steak, after doing some research I decided to check out Johnny's pizza. Service was great! They were very helpful when I asked questions and didn't make me feel like a total rube for not knowing much about cheese steaks. I ended up having a delicious cheese steak and pop! I also liked checking out all of the "art" on the walls. Check this place out if you are in the area, the food is delicious!

There are many pizza places in the Bryn Mawr area. This was our first time trying Johnny's. It's located on Lancaster Ave with metered street parking and a municipal lot nearby. They have Coke products. We planned to eat there. We ordered at the counter which overlooks the bustling kitchen area with several people making pizzas and cheesesteaks. There is a seating area in the back. By the time our order was ready, we decided to just take it home. We split a regular size cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese. The bread is outstanding- good crunch, not too thick or doughy, and sesame seeds. The meat to cheese ratio is excellent as is the filling to bun. We also tried the round white pizza (without carmelized onions). The crust is thin with a good crunch. They put sesame seeds on the pizza crust, too, which I really like. Both the cheesesteak and pizza were delicious. I highly recommend Johnny's.

Round pie with pepperoni

Stopped in on Saturday of Dad's day weekend right after opening time. Ordered a round pie with pepperoni. Also added a cheesesteak with Cooper sharp and onions. Now, onto the main event - the pizza! I opted for a round pepperoni , and it did not disappoint. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of char from the oven. The tomato sauce was rich and flavorful, topped with generous slices of fresh mozzarella and fragrant basil leaves. Each bite was a delightful combination of tangy tomato, creamy cheese, and herbal notes. Clearly the best pizza in Western 'burbs. The cheesesteak is similarly phenomenal. Loaded and tangy with that sharp American cheese and seeded roll. I don't eat as many cheesesteaks as I might have at another time, for comparison, but this is near the tippy top.

Cheesesteak 8" $13

After lots of chatter on the Facebook groups about how good this place is, I finally found myself in the area and was able to try it. Called 10:45am on Sunday morning I got through right away and place an order for large square pepperoni and cheesesteak. It was kinda tough to hear over the phone as some loud punk rock playing but ultimately was able to get the order through. I arrived 25 minutes later and paid cash close to $40. Food met every expectation I had. Was delicious and along the lines of power players in the pizza industry: Crust (Havertown), Goats Beard, Pizza Jawn, L'Angola, and Pizzeria Beddia. Expensive in price but highly recommend. You are paying for quality.

What went well??? EVERYTHING!! Square pizza was amazing and the cheesesteak sandwich was one of the best I've ever had

16" cheesesteak with Cooper sharp and fried onions.
Brian C.

Have not been back for pizza, but have had the cheesesteak on multiple occasions now and it is amazing! I get the 16", which is about $25 but will easily feed 2-3 people. The seeded roll is lightly toasted, the fried onions cooked perfectly, copper sharp, and a nice chop on enough fresh ribeye that it will have a nice heft when you pick it up. Service has been great every time, the counter and grill people are always quick and kind. Plenty of seating in the back if you want to eat in. I have to try the pizza again but the cheesesteak is so good I have trouble trying anything else. Only issue is the parking. You can sometimes get a lucky street spot or try the lot across the street by the tin lizard.

Angelos popped up on both right away with stellar ratings. So here we go: Yes indeed. The decor immediately screamed pleading, subtle and cleanliness! We were sat down by our friendly host and immediately went for the menus. We ordered a French Toast, A Raisin bread French Toast and an Egg and Cheese Sandwich. I personally had the raisin toast and it was sublime! Would have rated it a 6 star if I could. It was that good! We also ordered juice which was fresh squeezed. Excellent! Prices were good, which I find a tad up, but worth the quality. All in all, if you are in the Philly or Villy area, this is a must stop!

It just wasn't hot to me. Could have been the air temperature. The waiter was very attentive and stopped by a few times to see if we needed anything. Dad enjoyed his omelet and my pancakes were delicious. I didn't enjoy the bacon, taste like I was eating pig. I know it's pork but had a strong taste or flavor I didn't care for. Cheddar scrambled eggs were good but could have been hotter. Looks like a lot of seniors ate there. So good place to bring your parents.

Fries decent quality but extremely soggy with improper container choice creating immense condensation and pretty much ruining them. Mac n Cheese -- THE WORST EVER!!!!! I don't know how they can sell this. The "sauce" was so watery it came clean off the penne such that I had to smear it around my bowl to catch some of this watery soup inside the noodle to try to get a "cheese" taste. The penne was al dente too, which is pretty impossible to do with a noodle casserole. Last, there was some misfit spice added that just did not help this terrible dish and managed to make it even worse! Just absolutely garbage the whole thing. A Taste of Abruzzo in Bryn Mawr ?…read more Exit 13 isn't just a restaurant -- it's a warm, home-style escape straight into the heart of Abruzzo. The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you first: vibrant colors, rustic touches, and an ambiance that feels like stepping into someone's family dining room back in Italy. It's authentic, comforting, and alive with culture. The food? Unreal. Their **homemade bread** sets the tone -- rustic, fresh, and full of that old-world character. The **pizza** is on another level with dough that's so good it almost steals the show. Every pasta dish carries that handcrafted feel, the kind that tells you the recipe didn't come from a cookbook -- it came from memory. Appetizers are just as impressive, but the **grilled octopus** stands out as a true star. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and proof that Exit 13 puts heart into every dish. This is the kind of spot where the atmosphere and the food work together -- where the vibe feels like home and the flavors taste like heritage. Exit 13 doesn't just serve Italian cuisine. The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.
