Fresh and delicious chicken spot! The concept is elevated fried chicken with lots of options! The staff was very friendly, offering advice with ordering and asking how the food was upon leaving. We ordered: - Grilled chicken Caesar salad: 7/10 (the croutons were just ok and the romaine lettuce needed to be cut more- chicken was superb. - Nashville hot popcorn chicken: 9/10- great flavor, spicy! -two piece dark meat: 10/10 - hand cut fries: 10/10 great portion size, small is enough for two people - fried pickles: 9/10- fried nicely and good flavor. I preferred the fries over these if I had to choose Everything was so fresh, took about 15 minutes to come out which I could appreciate! The place is small inside but there are window high seats available to eat in. I would say it's more of a to-go or quick lunch spot. Can't wait to go back! read more

The fried chicken sandwiches were some of the best chicken I've ever had. The other sandwich components weren't top quality at all but that cutlet was just incredible!!! 5+ stars right there, absolutely excellent and I should've stopped with them! (But I didn't.) Fries decent quality but extremely soggy with improper container choice creating immense condensation and pretty much ruining them. Mac n Cheese -- THE WORST EVER!!!!! I don't know how they can sell this. The "sauce" was so watery it came clean off the penne such that I had to smear it around my bowl to catch some of this watery soup inside the noodle to try to get a "cheese" taste. The penne was al dente too, which is pretty impossible to do with a noodle casserole. Last, there was some misfit spice added that just did not help this terrible dish and managed to make it even worse! Just absolutely garbage the whole thing. Popcorn chicken was dry/overcooked and bland. Hard to believe it came from the same place as the sandwiches. Sandwiches, and fries if fresh, are the items worth getting. Skip the rest!!! read more

Went with my family for the first time tonight. My daughter is gluten free and has been wanting GF fried chicken for a while. Ordered the Baja bird sandwich based off of the recommendation by the cashier. Bangin sandwich! We ordered 4 different sides and all were amazing: fries, crispy Brussels, fried pickles and onion rings. Nifty Fifties used to have my favorite onion rings but these are way better. This place was an instant favorite. read more

All the food we got here was great: two sandwiches, fried chicken, fries, and Brussels sprouts. It was better that I had anticipated coming in. Everything tasted fresh and crisp. The folks working there were very nice, but I probably would not eat in again. It's meant more as a take out place. Looking forward to getting a bucket of fried chicken on game day in the future! read more

I'm furious my partner has a severe dairy allergy and we were so excited to order from here since they have a way to indicate allergies on the website. We placed an order and I indicated both on the sandwich and in my order note that we needed that sandwich to be dairy free. Our receipt reflected that the sandwich for my partner was dairy free I even asked when picking it up and the person at the register pointed to the "dairy allergy" note on the receipt as if I were being overly cautious. I drove 35 minutes home after a long day of work, we sat down to eat dinner and my partner's sandwich had cheese on it. He is not lactose intolerant, he has an allergy that makes him very sick if he has even a small amount of dairy. I'm furious. read more

Absolutely my favorite fried chicken place in the area! I've only gotten takeout and delivery so can't speak to ambiance but I will add that they package the food for takeout/delivery very well. Fried chicken is juicy and crispy. Nashville hot sandwich is also a highlight. If you want to add some greens to your order, the Brussels are great! I'd be remiss if I didn't add that their sauces are amazing too - make sure you try several. read more

The best thing here hands down is the fried pickles they were literally amazing. The fries were also very crispy and hot. The chicken....just alright. Little dry and little flavor. A chicken sandwich would have been a better choice for sure. They only offer unusual drink options. Not your typical coke or Pepsi. There was a jug that had free water though. Counter service so not much to go on there. The food did take awhile. Not much seating. There is 3-5 seats in front of the window but that's it. read more

Lovebird - two boxes of fried food and a cup of coffee - Chicken Shop Near Me - Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

The customer service was sub par the store manager acted like he had an attitude of some sorts because I asked him for ranch dressing. He was doing a interview during store hours directly in the front of store so I stepped aside and waited until he was done talking to ask for ranch he asked me if he could help me with something as if I was bothering him and I asked for Ranch he then proceeded to scoff at me and slam it on the table On top of that the sandwich gave me food poisoning please don't eat here if you value customer service read more

My stomach hurts after eating this fried chicken and it made me have a stomachache for two days

The fries were good but the chicken tasted like plastic. The service was quick and to the point. And the atmosphere was sort of clean. Saw a lot of flys. read more

This 2 star review is solely for the food, the staff was lovely and the wait was quick! I got fried chicken (2 pieces dark meat) and a side of Mac and cheese after seeing great reviews of this place. Fried chicken was okay, nothing to rave about. Mac and cheese was truly horrendous. The sauce had no flavor, I could barely taste anything except a hint of velveta cheese flavor. I ended up putting the lovebird sauce I got on the side on my Mac and cheese. It's truly rare Mac and cheese makes me think I may have Covid because I cant taste anything. read more

They're good but didn't wow me. I got the popcorn chicken tossed in Buffalo sauce but found I liked their dipping sauces better. Their hot honey sauce is amazing and sweet and sour sauce is good. My husband liked his sandwich, a Nashville hot, and said it was delicious. I'll be back, I feel like I need to try more of their menu. read more

Lovebird - Hand Cut Fries, Popcorn Chicken, Homemade Coleslaw, Fried Pickles with Honey Mustard - Chicken Shop Near Me - Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

Was visiting for the weekend, my mom found this place for lunch. She has celiac and so do I. I don't eat gf and she does. I ordered the popcorn chicken and fries with chipotle sauce and it was delicious. Also got a side of Mac and cheese- usually don't like the noodles other than a corn pasta I eat at home. The noodles were decent. Overall very impressed. read more

Lovebird - Popcorn Chicken with a side of Mac & Cheese ! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania

I tried the fried chicken here and I did enjoy what I ate. Surprisingly, I really did like the thighs the best. There isn't as much crunch or seasoning as I was hoping for, but possibly too much seasoning covers up the poorer quality of meats at other places? To be clear, I want the maximum amount of crunch possible. I did like the actual chicken flavor a lot here and it shines in the bites. There are some dipping sauces, which I usually don't use, but I gave them a shot with some bites. Perhaps they wanted a more neutral flavor and then you add your own flavor in later with the sauces. I was a bit concerned about a takeout fried chicken place, because I've had bad experiences transporting fried food and keeping the chicken crunchy and not soggy. This chicken didn't taste greasy, which is also a plus. Sure it has some, but still decent offering. The few minutes drive I had didn't really do anything to the texture, so that's a plus. Still, I'm excited to come back again to try the Buffalo Bleu Bird and I could eat the Love Bird sandwich almost every day. This will be the go to chicken sandwich location for me. As of right now, nothing else will do... read more

Food took awhile, the sandwich itself was not warm enough. The chicken was cooked, but all ingredients added were clearly just refrigerated. Do not get the rancher bird sandwich. read more

I read a review and was determined to try this weekend. Fried Chicken close to home is a must try. When I read about @lovebird.pa in Bryn Mawr I had to go and try their fried chicken. Who can pass on fried chicken? The location is clean with simple decor. The staff was very welcoming and very helpful with the most popular items. It is large enough to eat. One thing I noticed was no heavy smell of fried food. I added mac&cheese as a side and ordered a 2 piece with a thigh and a wing. There are a number of sauces to add on the side, I picked the Lovebird Special Sauce. The mac & cheese is pasta with a rich and creamy cheese ssuce. In addition to fried chicken there are sandwiches with( fried chicken breast,miso-garlic grilled chicken, miso-garlirc tofu) salads, bowls, and sides (fries, crispy brussel sprouts, mac&cheese, and coleslaw). The chicken was very juicy with a crispy skin that is not greasy. It is not overly seasoned but the sauce made it delicious. I noticed a few customers were picking up orders. My take-out order was ready in less than 15 minutes. read more

Really good chicken wrap and it was gluten free! The service was great I came super early and it was quick.

I only wish there were more of this place! The food is amazing! I have a gluten allergy that is severe and fun eating out difficult. Everything here, with the exception of a gluten bun option is gluten free and delicious! Highly recommend!!! read more

I very seldom eat fried chicken - or any deep-fried foods, but I was craving it and had an $18 lunch (ouch) today. And here's the irony - no chicken. First of all - you can get any sandwich made with fried or grilled chicken or Tofu - this made me happy - as I love tofu. So I settled on the $12 Fried Green Tomato BLT - I asked - does this come with chicken and was assured it did. It didn't. But it was great - The fried green tomatoes were spot on like a Georgia-Meemaw would make. The mac and cheese is another calorie bomb - but I enjoyed it. Got take out and thankfully did not eat it all in one sitting. I still have yet to try the chicken. Next time - but not for a few months - LOL. My fried food quota has been filled for 2022. Very nice staff. read more

I order from here fairly regularly all things considered - and I solved my earlier tofu problem by getting a salad with both grilled chicken and tofu. Perfect! read more

Unfortunately there signature fried chicken sandwich is just too dry. Ive had it about 5 times so far wishing the chicken would be moist but it never is. It's dry and flavorless. Could be a great sandwich if they could solve this problem by marinating the chicken. read more

Love the tofu options, the fries, the brussels sprouts, fried pickles, and more. Overall it's always tasty and good for vegetarians.

SANDWICH ONLY Bread was great Sauce was great Lettuce was so thoughtfully sourced Cole slaw was fantastic. Chicken was horrible. 2 main issues 1) the batter is garbage. It's gluten free rice flour so that may be part of the reason. No crispness or delicate nature to the batter. It wasn't chewy though. Just lays there. It looks like a batter on fish 2) chicken was sooo dense and thus dry which is not typical of fried chicken. Not plump or juicy I REALLY wanted to like it but I just couldn't. Even McDonald's is better. Do I think the team and company tried their best? Absolutely but not good enough. jeans: OK by far Order: at counter Only 6-8 seats max read more

Really good fried chicken/skin crispy, well seasoned. Ridiculously overpriced though. 2 piece of chicken in paper bag were $8!!! We are not talking sit down restaurant here, just take out (with a couple of stools) Better than KFC, equal to Popeyes. Staff not overly friendly or welcoming /just doing their job. Bathroom had a weird sewage smell... Overall very good chicken but laughably overpriced. read more

The food here was really good, in my opinion it's perfect if you're a chicken lover in the mood for something savory. Our food was ready around 10 minutes after we got here and everything tasted perfect. The service was good too, they all were nice and easy to talk to. Everything from the food to the Ambiance was perfect and they had a good selection of drinks. would get again!! read more

I was unimpressed with this meal. I got the Lovebird sandwich with miso-garlic grilled chicken, but I got a significantly smaller chicken cutlet than my friend did and it was underwhelming. The Brussels to the Beet salad was good, but the chicken was pretty dry. My friend ordered popcorn chicken, which was probably the best thing out of this meal. Not sure I'd return though, it's a small place with limited seating. read more

Food is tremendous. Great gluten free option! Brought my family and friends and we had a great time!

I wish I had taken some photos but I forgot. I had high hopes for this but was truly disappointed. Maybe it was because we did take out but I feel Like they do a lot of take out. The Mac n cheese was barely edible. I think kraft from a box was better. The chicken nuggets were dry and flavorless The sandwiches were marginally better. Not a place we will be returning to read more

I've been patiently waiting for this place to open for a few months. They have a good reputation from the original location in Doylestown, so I was intrigued. Their "Coming Soon" sign flipped to "Now Open" so I made it a point to drop in after work. It's a takeout chicken place plain and simple. Served as sandwich, salad, bowl, or classic box of chicken (you can sub miso-garlic tofu on anything). Fried seemed to be the way to go. I tried the Lovebird sandwich which has bibb lettuce, pickles, slaw and special sauce. It's pretty delicious and there's not much in the neighborhood like it. I thought $8.50 was a reasonable price. Sides are extra. I got a side of hand-cut fries which were good but no where near $4 good. read more

We knew about Lovebird from eating at the Doylestown location a few times, and I'd been wanting to try this location out since hearing about it. Our church is right around the corner, so it's conveniently located for Sunday lunch! The space isn't big, so there's not a whole lot of space to sit, just the high tables around the edges. To be fair, although the other location has regular tables, there's not all that much seating there either. Food is great, though! I ordered a different sandwich than I'd had before (the Baja Bird this time), and it tasted great. Great crisp on the chicken, and the meat is very tender and flavorful. The additional ingredients in the sandwich add some great acidic flavor. read more

Stopped in Lovebird because I was so hungry and didn't want to go to a typical fast food restaurant. I was greeted by a nice young lady at the counter. After reviewing the menu I settled on the Blue-cheese Buffalo Chick n Sandwich. It was so good at first bite. It was still good when I took the last bite. I'm not sure how the other food items taste but it is a restaurant I recommend. read more

Wow! Panko breaded chicken with their sauce is out of this world! Very similar to chicken karage- the lovebird sauce ticks the same boxes. Pretty pricey, but WAY better than popeyes. Some of the best fried chicken i've had outside of Georgia, and totally worth it. As an added plus, they have curbside pickup! read more

I have frequented the Lovebird locations in Doylestown (near my office) and Bryn Mawr (near where I had some frequent appointments) and was elated to find out one was opening in Blue Bell, within delivery distance of my house. I love the popcorn chicken, which is more like battered, meaty chicken nuggets, the fries (way better than any fast food place), the fried pickles, and the sandwiches. Everything is so well cooked and well seasoned, and you can tell it's homemade, in the best way. Their sauces, though? Take the cake... er, the chicken. They're also all made in-house. The Lovebird sauce is kind of like Big Mac sauce (but without the pickles) - creamy, tangy, a little sweet, a little smokey. The Buffalo sauce is a good wing sauce - vinegary and spicy, with a medium level of heat, for those who love wings (and I'm from Buffalo, so I've had a lot of wings and wing sauce). The thai chili is like a typical sweet thai chili sauce with a kick, but amazingly good quality. They honey mustard is well-balanced - not TOO creamy, not TOO sweet, just right. The fact that everything is gluten-free (except for the buns, which can be changed out for gluten-free options) is just an added benefit, and means you can bring anyone here. Also, the fact that the coating on the chicken is rice-flour-based makes it light and crispy and perfect! read more

OMG I think I love this place TOO much. Being GF and the weather as cold as it is, how amazing to get fried chicken with a tasty gf wrap and Mac 'n cheese!!! It was sooo good I had it 3x in one week! That's a review in and of itself. BRAVO!!!! read more

Gluten free and non gluten free foodies! This is that spot that you question actually being gluten free because that chicken is just as flavorful as your gluten filled favorite! I was genuinely surprised at how light I felt after indulging in this meal and experiencing some of the best fried chicken I've had. Lovebird offers multiple gluten free options including the fried chicken and mac n cheese pictured. If you are not gluten free, I still highly recommend the fried chicken! I promise if no one told you- you would not know the difference! The mac n cheese was pretty good but I've definitely had better. Same for the fries. I wasn't too impressed with the LBLT (all natural smoked bacon, tomato, mayo, bibb lettuce and avocado), but it was still good! I would say try this place for the fried chicken and maybe pair with your favorite mac n cheese or other sides. But again-the mac n cheese and fries are still good- I just wouldn't rank as extraordinary hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The fried chicken is a 5 though!! read more
