Amazing Thai food! I'm from California and have had a lot of really delicious Thai food over the years, but this may very well be the best Pad Thai we have ever had. The flavor was perfect, the noodles were cooked beautifully, and every bite was so satisfying. We also tried the yellow curry, and it was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious. Heard great things about Manorah and tried it today with a friend and we were very pleased with our lunch. On a very cold day it was cozy inside and the service was friendly and warm. Lunch special: $16 for a starter (salad or soup) and a choice of a large variety of entrees. - soup of the day was chicken and rice - 5/5, basic ginger infused chicken broth with small tender pieces of chicken and white rice. Perfect for a cold winter day. If I had a cold, I'd definitely want this to help me recover. - pad see ew with shrimp - 5/5, large portion of tasty noodles, sliced gailan (chinese broccoli), four plump shrimp (upcharge of $3) My friend had the salad which looked on the small side but she enjoyed it and the drunken noodles with beef which for some reason did not involved an upcharge. I'll need to reread their lunch special menu again because she got a much better deal for her $16! All in all a very enjoyable experience and I look forward to going back and trying more items from their menu. The space has quite a few tables and can seat a lot of people. We had a lovely lunch at this cheerful Thai restaurant. Pumpkin dumplings were crisp & delicious...and so cute! We had red curry pumpkin and the duck leg from the Autumn menu...all delicious. Manorah was surprising in all the best ways! The front of the restaurant was unassuming and disguised a beautiful, sizable interior. The staff were so polite and attentive without being intrusive. There was a plethora of menu offerings to choose from. Our group ordered the chicken satay and dumpling sampler as well as a variety of entrees. Everything was fresh, hot and came out quickly. Very interesting take on Larb. Springs mix instead of cabbage along with no cucumber, the traditional way of serving it. Had carrots in it, which is weird spices OK taste good. Just weird. A little disappointed won't lie but overall OK. read more

I came here tonight with a family friend of mine and we both agreed that it was a 10/10 experience. The inside of the restaurant is very nicely decorated and thoughtfully crafted. From the mirrors for extra light to the touch of Thai in the wallpaper, even the dishware is really lovely. We sat down and we're warmly greeted, had glasses brought out for our BYOB beverages and settled in. The owner Jay came over and introduced himself to us, thanked us for coming in a trying the restaurant. He and his family were on the way out for the evening but it was a really wonderful gesture to greet us personally. The food - absolutely delicious. We tried a couple appetizers and a main dish plus dessert. Portion sizes are great, generous even for the mains, and we both were very content and satisfied after the meal. (Check the pictures for what we ate.) I enjoyed this place very much, and made another reservation to come back again with my partner again this week. There's a new byob in town. If you haven't been, you may want to go. Manorah is owned by a lovely young couple; Jae is Korean, and his wife, whose family recipes are the basis of the restaurant, is Thai. Once word is out, khao soi could be their signature noodle dish. (My interest was piqued by a fellow Yelper's photos.). Prepared tableside, thin strips of meat -- we chose beef --are cooked in the most delightful coconut milk curry broth. Consider specifying your preferred level of heat, even if you're not asked. Without having sampled my friends' dishes, M said his spicy grilled beef salad was good, but a tad spicier than he expected. His wife said pad Thai -- her go-to pasta -- was surprisingly sweet. This is a nice restaurant with a friendly vibe and a real sense of caring about the diners. I found my menu selections really met expectations, in this case I ordered things I have had many times and at many restaurants just to get the comparability. The Tom Yum soup win the night with a sizable portion in a tangy, spicy broth with smoke chicken and veg. The Larb salad is also very flavorful with less basil and less lime than I've encountered elsewhere. There is a chicken wing appetizer called chicken menorah that had well cooked "naked" wings with a sweet, sticky sauce that I'd skip next time. Very friendly and the dishes are as expected. Great food and service! For appetizer, we ordered lemongrass chicken, tom yum soup, dumpling platter. For entree, there were Thai fried rice, green curry fried rice, pad see ew, drunken noddle and masaman curry. Beside the curry being a little too sweet for us, everything was very delicious. Personally I like the regular fried rice more than the green curry fried rice. The mango sticky rice was superb. I don't know how they can get such sweet fresh mango in this season! We were disappointed. We ordered chive cake as an appetizer and it was good. The Branzino was fish and very bony. When I mentioned this to staff she said " Oh, didn't they tell you?" Lovely new family-owned Thai restaurant in Bryn Mawr. The entrance smelled a bit musty but the interior is nicely decorated and very cute. Four of us came for lunch and treated ourselves to some yummy fresh dishes. I got the khao soi, which had tableside service, and was the highlight of the meal/favorite of everyone at the table. The massaman curry, beef noodle soup, and appetizers we had were also pretty tasty! We also enjoyed the ice cream and warm mango sticky rice for dessert, and my husband liked his Thai iced coffee a lot. I like that the menu has more than just the usual Thai fare. It's a bit pricey but not unreasonable for the quality. We will be back to try more dishes! read more

I wish I could give half stars. Let's start with the good: the basil fried rice was basil-y; spicy, and just delicious. Fantastic. The papaya salad with the fish sauce was also very good and left me wanting more. The branzino fried fish was expensive, full of bones, and not very flavorful. I know fish has bones, but they could have warned us ahead of time that the bones are small and break off, especially when we were feeding a small child. A heads up would have been nice. I just feel like this place was a bit overpriced. Restaurant is very nice inside and the owners seem nice. read more

I had dinner there last night. We started with the fried chicken appetizer which was great and the sauces were amazing We ordered Lemongrass and Lychee soda. They were both fantastic and made in-house. We had the shrimp with Glass noodles with the house made sauce and Whole fried Snapper. Both were delicious and we had the banana rolls with rum caramel sauce with dark chocolate ice cream. Wow! What a spectacular meal. Great ambience and wonderful service staff. This place is incredible! I brought my girlfriend here and they seated us on a Saturday night without a reservation, were polite and friendly, and served amazing food. We had the lemongrass wings for an appetizer, pad see ew and soft shell crabs for dinner. Everything was delicious! They also gave us a complimentary dessert for my girlfriend's birthday. I am never inclined to eat thai food. It's just not something I am draw too but I found this menu and couldn't resist. There wasn't one bad plate that we ordered. We ordered: shrimp + pork fried dumps, lemongrass wings, drunken noodles, salmon blossom with garlic sauce, chicken satay, toasted coconut ice cream. Holy shit this place is so good. We spoke with the owner and he told us about his wife who made the menu and designed the whole place- and they have a 7 month old baby! If there was ever a place to give your business to: it is Manorah. The food was just so good my favorite was the salmon blossom but those dumps were the perfect the starting course. The side salad for the salmon is such an interesting combination of flavors it's worth ordering the whole entree. read more

First time to Manorah and am upset it took me this long to go. We had the sampler appetizer which gets you a couple different dumplings, a spring roll and chicken skewers all with their own dipping sauces. Great pairings and a big fan of thai peanut butter chicken for the skewers. The tom kha is a coconut lemongrass soup that has an outstanding broth. The curry are fresh and thoughtful with a wide array of proteins and spice levels. The fried banana and mango sticky rice are a unique and refreshing take on desserts. Just had dinner at a new Bryn Mawr restaurant on Lancaster Ave, Manorah. It's a Thai restaurant. Wonderful meal- Crispy dumplings were remarkable. The Massaman curry were great and we loved the banana spring roll dessert, a great finish to dinner. Have eaten at many Main Line restaurants and truly hope this one succeeds. My 8 yo has been wanting mango sticky rice for a while. I got him some from Rudee's Thai for $12 a couple of days ago and the mango was too unripe! I saw an ad for this place on Main Line Specials and so, off we went after soccer. We got salt and pepper squid and chicken satay to start. Both were fabulous. We did want more squid as each bite was warm and delicious. Chicken satay was juicy and tender with the perfect peanut sauce and pickled cucumber/onion side. We then got our shrimp pad thai and green curry. Both were great, the shrimp a bit bland but the noodles were chewy. I might get it with just tofu next time. Green curry is spicy but not overpoweringly so. A lot of umami! Lastly, we got the long awaited mango sticky rice and a Thai tea pudding (hubby's choice). Both were delicious but the mango sticky rice was just perfect. We left as 4 happy campers! I didn't enjoy the Thai place this replaced but I certainly enjoyed Manorah. We are fortunate to have so many nearby great Thai options but Manorah would definitely be in our top two! Will be back. Also it didn't hurt that owners had their adorable baby with them. read more

We enjoyed an extraordinary dinner for 4 last night at Manorah. We split 2 appetizer samplers, which allowed us to taste five different dishes, and they were all perfectly prepared and savory. The crispy shrimp entree with tamarind glaze was truly divine and unique to this restaurant. We also enjoyed the "ginger-kissed" fried whole snapper, and the Massaman curry dish with chicken. The chef is excellent, flavors are clean and natural, not overly complicated. Dessert was toasted coconut ice cream and sticky mango rice. Service exemplary.
