This restaurant, which offers dine-in and take out, is conveniently located on Lancaster Ave and there is a public parking lot directly across the street (on Warner Ave). I ordered 2 chicken pho and was told it would be about a 20 minute wait; the cost was a tad more than I expected (about 30 USD)... I sat in the waiting area for maybe10 minutes before my order was ready. The soup was good. The flavor of the broth is delicate but the hoisin and sriracha amp it up, as well as the accoutrements (bean sprouts, jalapeño slices and mint). I have only had pho from one other restaurant (several years ago) but can't compare the recipes. However, I definitely recommend trying Pho Street. read more

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch while in the area. The food came out so fast and was fresh. The summer rolls had fresh and crisp veggies and a peanut butter sauce along with it. It was good but I was expecting a stronger shrimp flavor. I really enjoyed the rice vermacelli bowl. The grilled pork was very flavorful and the crispy egg rolls added texture. After a playing 2 hours of pickleball I was starving and the weather was cold and rainy. I needed some hot and yummy comfort food . Pho hits the spot! Pho Street is the only Vietnamese restaurant in the Ardmore / Bryn Mawr area now Nam Phong is closed. There is a small metered parking lot next to the restaurant. The parking lot fills up fast weekend evenings - on a rainy Sunday afternoon there were a few spots left for me to park. Walking into the restaurant- restaurant is quite large however , seating was limited to one section. The tables in the back area had boxes and restaurant supplies. I was cordially greeted and seated with a menu by the host at the front. Water was also severed right away. Menu had pictures which is helpful if you are not familiar with Vietnamese dishes. I ordered Pho with Brisket and flank steak and shrimp and pork summer rolls. The summer rolls were fresh and delicious with mint and chopped lettuce. Peanut sauce could have had more peanut taste but went well with the rolls. The pho broth was flavorful - green onions and fresh chopped cilantro added with pickled onions. Nice portion of meat and noodles. Noodles were chopped a bit ( I like them when they are not broken) the fresh basil and bean alright have the soup a nice crunch and flavor. Maybe there are some fantastic Vietnamese restaurants around Philly, but why is this my favorite spot for pho and summer rolls? I frequented pho street in college. It was close by, and it was perfect the day after a fun night. My go to order is: KV3, P01, and GK4. I don't think I could forget them if I tried. Sometimes I switch to a P03. KV3 (grilled pork and shrimp summer rolls) are amazing. Perfectly rolled, and the peanut sauce is top tier. Not sure how every other one I've has never been this good. P01 - a classic beef pho. Soup is perfectly spiced. Noodles can be a bit more consistent with texture sometimes, though. Meatballs are only ok. GK4 - Vietnamese iced coffee - energy in a cup. 10/10. My favorite Vietnamese place of all time!! They do everything well. Usually viet places will have great vermicelli salad but the pho is off and most do not have bahn mi on their menu. Pho street does it all perfectly and you cannot go wrong with anything. Highly recommend the grilled pork hoagi (bahn mi) and the grilled pork with rice vermicelli. Pho Street has become one of our favorite restaurants to go to as a family. Our two college age daughters absolutely love it, as do my husband and I. I know our oldest and her family would enjoy it too - we need to make that big family dinner happen someday - after the Covid epidemic is over with. Anyway, my favorite is the grilled pork and chicken rice vermicelli. It's so good with a fried egg on top and then drizzled with fresh lime juice and some of their vegetarian sauce which I just recently found out about and was SO excited! I don't like the fishy taste of their usual sauce which is served with a lot of dishes, the vermicelli included. I will be sure to ask for the vegetarian sauce from now on. Mixed review: I've eaten at almost all the Vietnamese restaurants in and around Philly and it's surrounding suburbs. This place has the best food in my opinion and is the reason we continue getting food here. Unfortunately, they are INCAPABLE of fulfilling orders accurately. We have NEVER had an order that was 100% accurate. NEVER. There is always something missing or wrong. ALWAYS. You may think I'm exaggerating. I assure you, I am not. We are regulars, ordering or eating in at least twice a month. Makes no difference, they don't care. The order is ALWAYS wrong in some way. Usually, we catch it before getting home but not always. It sucks having to police them at their job but it is unfortunately necessary. I recommend the food. I recommend you double check everything when making the order AND receiving the order. Non-negotiable if you want the correct order. I am trying to be as kind as I can possibly be because I don't want to hurt their business; however, they are succeeding at hurting their own business by NEVER GETTING A SINGLE FUCKING ORDER CORRECT. read more

I do wish the pho came with more toppings (less variety than other pho places--just bamboo shoots, which was surprising), but the broth was warm and rich, so you can tell it's cooking all day. The bowl is large and plentiful, so you can split it. Surprisingly they don't have multiple sizes. The service was good, it was a bit slow but they refilled our water more than five times in less than an hour! It's a great location on Lancaster with parking around the corner. My wife and I were craving Vietnamese food for lunch and went to Pho Street to satisfy our cravings. This was our first time there and we couldn't have been more pleased. Some of the signs by the front entrance are a little faded so you might not think they're open sometimes, but make no mistake they are open and ready to feed you. The dining room was half full for a mid-week lunch time, with people also walking in to pick up take-out orders. The menu has a lot of authentic options but I don't find it overwhelming, as it's laid out well. We had the shrimp summer rolls, sizzling Vietnamese crepe, and the grilled pork Bahn mi. Everything was delicious; the ingredients are fresh and you can taste it. The service was great and the food came out remarkably quick. I would also recommend getting the Vietnamese hot espresso with condensed milk - nice and strong, the way it should be. I can't wait to go back! read more

Today was new years and since most restaurants were closed I decided to try Pho Street. This is located in Bryn Mawr and has lots of restaurants to compete with. The inside is very clean and spacious and the staff was polite. The menu has plenty of options to choose from. I ordered the chicken and beef bun vermicelli noodle and the spicy Vietnamese chicken wings. My friend ordered spicy beef noodle soup. The bun was fairly good 3/5, not very salty or overcome with ingredients. The vegetables seemed fresh, noodles well prepared and the meat was cooked well and flavorful. The wings were 3.5/5, had a tasty sweet and spicy sauce and were cooked crispy. Couldn't tell if they were frozen but they did have some very crunchy parts that seemed overcooked. My friend rated his soup a 3.5/5, said it could've been spicier. I enjoyed eating here and will definitely come back. read more

This was an unexpected and excellent find in the far reaches of suburban Philadelphia. Admittedly, I had my doubts that legitimately good Vietnamese food could be found out here, and given that we live near the largest Vietnamese community in the US and have excellent restaurants all around us, our standards are pretty high. We had been traveling for about a week when we found ourselves in Bryn Mawr. We had just finished visiting the Swarthmore and Haverford campuses and were tired and hungry. Everyone declared that they were getting tired of non-Asian food, and a Yelp search turned up this place. When we arrived, there was just one other table occupied and we wondered whether we had made a mistake because it was smack dab in the middle of typical dinner hours. However, there was a large number of DoorDash and GrubHub orders sitting on the counter, so clearly this place was popular - and in fact, within about 15 minutes of arriving the place started to fill up. Since it was a very hot day, none of us were interested in the pho. With the extensive menu, there were plenty of other options for us. Sizzling Vietnamese crepe - I've had similar creations a few times in the past, with some variation in presentation. Pho Street's version was terrific. The crepe (I really wouldn't call it a crepe though) was crispy fried and filled with shrimp, pork, and vegetables. You take a portion of this and wrap it in the provided lettuce, giving it another layer of crunchiness and that nice cold/hot counterpoint. "Hoagies" - hahaha! Never seen banh mi described as this before, but hey, we're in Pennsylvania. Anyways, these were good and were served in a crispy roll. They could have used a little more vegetable, but they were enjoyed nevertheless. "Broken rice" with grilled pork and egg - None of us could quite figure out what was broken about the rice, as it looked like normal short grain rice to us. The pork was more thinly cut than what I've seen in the past, which made it easy to cut and eat - and there was quite a lot of it as well. Really good. Vermicelli with pork, shrimp, and fried spring roll - this is something that I regularly order, and their version was quite similar to what I have had in the past. Delicious nevertheless. Prices are on par with what you find in the San Jose / South Bay parts of California. Service was friendly and attentive even though there seemed to be just two people responsible for the dining room and handing off orders to the delivery drivers. Pretty good Vietnamese spot in the suburbs with fast service and clean interior. I ordered a banh mi for lunch, which was very reasonably priced and tasted good. The bread was just a bit crusty on the outside but pretty fluffy inside, and the grilled pork I got on it was nicely flavored and cooked. There's a parking lot across the street with metered spots, and some other street parking around the area. It's small, though, so I imagine it could be tough to find a spot at busier times. We were there for a late lunch, so it wasn't too bad late afternoon. read more

This is the second location of Pho Street, with the other being in the Clifton area. Just like that location , this spot is also very spacious. Plenty of seating, even if it does look small from the outside. What is different about this location is the service. I posted a tip saying "Father time moves faster than these guys" which is true. I came in a little after 2 pm with it being somewhat dead in here. I came at this time to avoid the lunch rush madness, but it still didn't make a difference. What caught my eye was their Spicy Beef Noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue) and this is was what the doctor ordered. A spicy broth that I thought would of have a nice little kick to it. Unfortunately it wasn't, a little on the weak side I thought. Thank goodness for the add-ons, so I could prep it how I wanted, to satisfy my crave for something spicy. I decided to just throw in some Sriracha and chili oil to really step it up so I can say "yowza". I also added some meatballs to the mix with egg noodles instead and I must say this was pretty good. The beef with meatballs was good, it mixed well with the broth, along with the other add-ons. Extra limes, get extra limes and squeeze it in there and let it settle in. Just put the squeezed limes in there and let it marinate a little more. I am telling you it makes a difference. Other than the service being slower than an 80 year old driver on I-95, this in all was a pretty good spot. Come in and enjoy some Pho with a nice little kettle of green tea for you to enjoy.
