Cheese pizza

Everything was fresh, hot and delivered efficiently and fast. I would highly recommend eating here. I order all the time.

My usual cheesesteak hoagie with raw onions which is not what I received today.
Sonia K.

In the past my experience has been good. I've come in numerous times for a cheesesteak hoagie or pizza slices. Today, the usual lady wasn't in to take my order. My order was taken by a a man I'd never seen before. I specifically ordered raw onions on my cheesesteak as I always do. I repeated this request several times. I ended up receiving fried onions which I loathe on my cheesesteaks. My cheesesteak was as NOT good and a waste of $14.84. I pointed this out to the man that took my order and he said he repeated my order and told me I ordered onions and I reminded him that I kept saying raw onions. I didn't appreciate him speaking down to me and having no care whatsoever that I'm a repeat customer. I told him I won't be back and I will be informing my friends in the area of the poor service I received. Also, I don't know if they changed where they source their cheesesteak meat, but there was so much gristle in the sandwich which is normally not the case, but because the man refused to accept his mistake on the onions, I didn't even bother discussing the meat. I used to enjoy their cheesesteaks. The picture I posted is of a previous cheesesteak hoagie from here. I won't be back. I may consider going back if I hear the order taking person reverts back to the girl I'm used to who gets my order correct and provides caring service not arrogance.

Large cheese steak Stromboli on left. Medium pepperoni on the right

Cheese fries are great. fast service quality food. cheese steak stromboli is out of this world pepperoni Stromboli as well. highly recommend. We have only had take out. But the restaurant is very spacious always a variety of pies for slices in the window. Very clean and spacious seating area. i plan on trying more things on the menu and will review as I do.

California cheeseburger - comes with fries

I am SO happy to have this new spot in the area. I think I've been 4 times already! Quick food right off 76 is scarce in lower merion until now! The food is solid and the menu is vast...considering it's a pizza place. They offer all sorts of pizzas, calzones, strombolis, pasta, salads, gyros, platters (chix fingers, shrimp basket), hoagies, hot sandwiches, cold sandwiches, cheesesteaks, clubs, burgers, quesadillas, paninis, etc!! I've had the harvest salad...really good, huge, definitely had leftovers. I've had a few basic pizzas...pretty standard NY style pizza. Tonight I had the california burger with fries and it was delicious! I ate the whole meal and I never do that! Restaurant is a BYOB. While they offer seating (indoor only), it's seating at a pizza place. I've always taken my food to go. Will definitely be going here many, many more times in the future for a quick bite to go!

I've driven past this former Lee's Hoagie House, a number of times, and was excited to see that a Blue Bell Pizza would be opening here. It opened two weeks ago as Rock Hill Pizza by Blue Bell Pizza, so the number includes a nice neighborhood touch. I wasn't too hungry, so I just picked up a slice of the Caprese pizza and a garlic knot. The pizza was absolutely delicious with squares crust, fresh tomatoes, slices of mozzarella and a tasty sauce drizzled on top. There is some seating here and a TV, which allows for folks to sit down and enjoy a slice. Altogether, this is a nice, new pizzeria, which is a good place to get a pizza!

Rock Hill Pizza is the quintessential pizza place/lunch spot! The food is amazing, I mean look at the slice I got. Truly delicious. You can get a generous sized slice and a drink for less than $8 which makes for the perfect cheap but insanely satisfying lunch. The food comes out so fast which is perfect if you're trying to make it back to the office quickly. The woman who runs the show (Nicole???) is amazing! She works so hard and has such a great personality. The place is already great but she undoubtedly makes it better! Can't recommend this place enough!

Meat lovers Chicago style

This newer place next to the CVS in Bala Cynwyd has received some good press via word of mouth. The reviews are around the Nonna pie which faces still competition from Pizza Jawn and L'angolo. I ended up going with another rare specialty they make. I ordered one slice of meat lovers Chicago style. Total came to $5.04 for the heavy slice. Almost a quarter of a pie in total it was excellent. I'm not an aficionado of Chicago style by any means but enjoyed it. I'm more of a Giordanos over Lou Malanadis and this slice fit the bill.

Great pizza!! Ordered a medium plain pie and some fries late night and did not disappoint. The pizza was super cheesy and the sauce had great flavor. Crust was also delicious. The fries were crispy and delicious! Our order was ready in about 15 minutes! My boyfriend met the owner when picking up the pie and he was a super nice friendly person. We will definitely be back- they have a tons of styles of pizza on the menu and we can wait to try to grandma thin crust pizzas. Every pizza we could see looked amazing!

Their challah French toast is something I often think fondly of! They've always been super friendly, and this location may be older but kept clean. I would not just return, but suggest others to stop by in they are visiting the area!

My partner had been to both Murray's Deli and Hymie's Deli in Ardmore. We wanted to have lunch…read moreafter an appointment, so I took a quick look on Yelp, and decided to go to Hymie's. It was packed - only a few tables were available at 12:30 on a Friday afternoon. We were immediately seated and looked over the menu. We decided to share a 1/2 Pastrami sandwich ( you can order 1/2 a sandwich ), 1/2 a Corned Beef sandwich, an order of Potato Latkes and we each had a small bowl of Chicken Matzo Ball soup. The soup was delicious - it was a little bowl with tiny shreds of carrots and chicken. The broth tasted very good, however, the matzo ball was a 'little' different. They were light and fluffy - but there was no texture or flavor at all....none. I would have thought the matzo balls would have absorbed some of the flavor from the soup, but it didn't. I finished the soup, but left the matzo ball. My partner likes pastrami over corned beef - she says it's a more 'peppery' flavor. While I probably prefer corned beef over pastrami because it's a leaner cut, my 'baseline' for pastrami is Katz's (NYC). I'm sure Katz's has great corned beef, but I've only had pastrami there - it's the best I've had. I thought my Corned Beef sandwich was excellent - it was lean, tender and very tasty. I squeeze out a little mound of mustard on my plate and dip. My partner thought her Pastrami sandwich was very good - it was also quite lean. I took a few bites of the pastrami, I thought my corned beef was tastier and had more texture. It almost seemed like they sliced the pastrami too thin. She liked her pastrami more than my corned beef - I suppose it's all a matter of individual taste. The Potato Latkes were delicious - especially with the applesauce! They were a little thicker than I might have preferred, possibly from either potato starch or matzo meal. However, there was a very nice potato taste and the thicker texture was fine. Of course, on the way out I saw a large selection of pasties and had to try a few! I got a few of the Rugelach and a Poppy Hamantash. The Rugelach were a disappointment - the interiors of all were very thick and doughy. I ate some of the exterior layers.....and left the rest. The Poppy Hamantash, on the other hand was one of the best I've had. It was by far the largest one I've ever had! As a result, there wasn't enough Mohn (poppy filling) for such a large pastry! The filling was very good as was the cookie (it was like 1/2 scone and 1/2 cookie)! Overall, Hymie's exceeded my expectations and I'll look forward to returning.

I was somewhat dubious when I saw the Yelp rating, but thought we would try it anyways. Katz's was opened in 2009 by Jeff Katz - however, it appears he no longer owns the restaurant and someone else has purchased it. There's a reference on the website 'Since 1948' - but there is no mention anywhere of this business being open prior to 2009. It's also unusual that there is no information on the current owner, other than they are Asian. We were seated and waited 10 minutes before asking someone for water and a menu. We waited again, and had to ask someone to take our order. My partner ordered Scrambled Eggs with Salami, a side of French Fries and a Sesame Bagel. I ordered the Veggie Omelette with a side of French Fries and an English Muffin. I also ordered a small stack of pancakes (2). My partner said the eggs and salami were good - I tasted it (even though I don't like salami) and the eggs tasted fine. The sesame bagel was good, but toasted too long and a little burnt. However, it was the French fries that stood out! They were large and delicious! My Veggie Omelette had lots of veggies and my first few bites tasted good - however, the omelette fell apart and it was runny in the inside - the egg hadn't been fully cooked. I flip my omelettes (both sides) before adding veggies - this was not flipped before adding the veggies. There was a white runny liquid which I assume was uncooked egg white. I left most of the omelette but ate the French fries! The pancakes were average - they tasted fine, but had a tough exterior, making it difficult to cut with a fork. I needed to use my butter knife to cut a pancake as the tough exterior is from being on a very hot griddle for too long. Of course, living in NYC and having Katz's deli on the Lower East Side set the standard for a great deli. Katz's Deli Kitchen in Bala Cynwyd, which is more of a diner than deli, doesn't come close.

But in its multiple locations its definitely evolved from the tiny corner store that's a beer and sandwich haven, to several places that deliver the same in a much larger package. But when it comes down to both deli counter and beer selection, the Roxborough location might just be my favorite, and not just because it also let me scoop out some popcorn to go during non-Covid-19 times. Even in the slightly larger NoLibs location, past Foodery locations have boldly crammed specialty groceries, a deli counter, and fridges stocked with ALL THE BEERS into some seriously crammed situations. But that isn't a problem in this one which is by far the largest I've seen (without setting foot in the Phoenixville one yet). Because of that everything is placed in areas that make sense while also tossing in things like a section for large bottles, ALL THE SNACKS, and an impressive growler fill station. My favorite sandwich is definitely the Diablo with its buffalo chicken, pepper jack cheese, avocado, and chipotle mayo that delivers a spicy kick that doesn't border on overkill. But I've also enjoyed the Hot Toastee with its tavern ham, swiss cheese, honey mustard, apple, and pecans on a toasted sourdough. The main event by far is the epic beer coolers, and whether you're looking for hard to find imports, well-liked local brews, noteworthy seasonal brews, ciders and seltzers, hoppy beers, chocolate stouts, or other, you're bound to find it!

It took about 15-20 minutes for my food to come out, which was a little longer than I expected considering there was only one other customer ahead of me. When the sandwich finally arrived, I was shocked by how HUGE it was! It genuinely felt like it weighed close to two pounds. The sandwich was absolutely packed with crispy chicken cutlet, which I loved. The inside of the sesame bun was coated with a garlic pesto spread, giving it an almost garlic bread-like flavor. The marinara sauce had a nice tanginess to it, and all the flavors complemented each other really well.
