The pickles in both the salad rolls and the banh mi were the perfect balance of sour and crunchy, and that set the tone for other aspects of the meal. The fried items were uniformly crispy in the way they can only be if they're fried from scratch to order: chicken wings, crispy fish on the sandwich, and sweet potatoes fries all reflected this and also had a super clear taste to them. (Even though this place is Vietnamese, the fusion aspect might mean these are the best sweet potato fries I've ever had.) I'm making this review in hopes the owners will see it and make some changes. I don't know if management has changed or what but this place isn't to the quality it used to be. [caveat the employees are still lovely] When I first moved to this area like 5 yrs ago I was obsessed with this place. it was incredible food. The pulled pork Bahn Mi and the veggie bowl were phenomenal and so flavorful. However a while back they changed the veggie bowl to a stuffed tofu bowl which was sad but fine bc it was equally as incredible. But now they've changed it again to a really said tofu dish that I could make at home. it's no longer worth the price bc they're pretty pricey for the area. Also they got rid of the pulled pork sandwich and the replacement isn't as good. I keep trying to go back every couple months to try something new but each time it's been a disappointment in flavor. Also they added fries to the Bahn Mi which seems like an attempt to justify the price since quality has gone down. but i dont go to a vietnamese restaurant for basic fries and the sandwich used to be enough food on its own. Overall the place feels like it's been Americanized to an extreme detriment and lack of flavor. They even switched the condiments to what feels like a cheaper and less authentic option. You can get sriracha and chilli oil at the counter. The saving grace was the drink stand next door. I never leave reviews but I'm so disappointed I have to leave one. This used to be my favorite pho spot but since they closed and reopened in the last year the quality has so drastically dropped. The pho is not as flavorful and the chicken is not as high quality. It used to be flavorful and the chicken used to be shredded. Now the flavor of the broth is off and less well rounded and the chicken is cut in strips and the texture is not great. I wish they would get the old owners or chef back or tell me where they went so I could go to their new spot. Good pho is so hard to find which is why this is such a bummer! read more

I want to point out that one disappointing change is that the broth for the chicken and beef pho is no longer gluten free. Rapidly declining quality since the start of 2024, what gives? I've been a regular at Little Mo since before it was renovated and "upgraded" in December. At first I was very happy with the menu, but in 4 months I have noticed a steep change in the food quality. I was regularly purchasing a fried chicken sando and pho for takeout. It WAS previously delicious. The sandwich has not been the same any time I've purchased it since January, including today's lunch, which left me wondering if there was a mistake in the preparation or if the quality is changing again. The ratio of protein to bread on the sandwich is dire, about 20% chicken, 20% toppings and 60% bread. This wouldn't be an issue if it was tasty and consistent, but sadly the constant is a mouthful of bland bread each bite. The fries are also a good meter for the quality, as they were made hours ago and served to me stale. If this $16 sandwich were a $12 sandwich I would still be disappointed. I would also recommend against the house drinks at their price point, as it seems to be syrup from a pump bottle mixed with seltzer behind the bar. The new coffee shop "little mo cafe" is connected to the store, replacing the lauded "above ground coffee". Quick service, sandwiches and pastries, that unfortunately seem to all follow the same trend as the store. Good for cold brew though. On to the good: The pho is tasty. Offering the brisket pho during the week was a very welcomed change. The staff is exceptionally kind and accommodating. Especially the guy with the glasses. To the owners: You guys have a fantastic location. You have fantastic staff. You have dedicated customers. Don't short change us, we love the shop for a reason.
