To eat I got the pad see ew with beef and shared the chicken thigh yakitori and the shishito peppers. All 3 were tasty! Here's what we got: Agedashi Tofu - this was really good! we asked for it vegetarian and it was still super flavorful Chiang Mai Noodle - this was the star! I highly highly recommend! I was seeing a concert in Brooklyn the other night with one of my brothers and we decided to grab some dinner in the area beforehand. He did most of the arrangements and landed on Dock Asian Eatery. I actually had never heard of this place before, but the Yelp reviews looked good so I was looking forward to checking it out. Dock is located on Wyckoff in one of the main commercial hubs of Bushwick. As we approached I noticed an outdoor seating area up front before giving way to the main entrance which housed the bar and indoor dining room. The decor is kind of industrial with exposed fixtures and high ceilings while also being paired with touches of tasteful decor. The menu has a mix of different Asian cuisines, separated by small plates/apps, yakitori, sandwiches, soup/salad, veg, meat/poultry, curry, fish, noodles, rice, and platters. Before food, though - drinks. I had the So Fresh which was quite good; not strong at all and, as implied by the name, really refreshing. We decided to share a few of the apps, namely the pork buns, takoyaki, and karaage. All the apps were tasty, though the pork buns were my favorite - they were large with puffy buns and a good amount of filling; the pork was seasoned well and all the elements worked well together. The karaage and takoyaki were also good and both paired with tasty sauces to complement. For my main I decided to get the Chiang Mai Noodle which was a chicken curry paired with noodles cooked in the broth and topped with even more crispy noodles. This was really good - there was a lot of flavor with just the right amount of heat and a generous helping of chicken, noodles, and broth; it all worked really well. I ordered medium spice which was perfect for me - I don't have a high spice tolerance and this was just enough to give some heat without me breaking a sweat or taking away from me enjoying the dish. Service was good - the food came out at a good pace and everyone was really friendly. Overall, I had a great experience at Dock Asian Eatery - they serve up good food in a comfortable atmosphere with friendly service. I'm met my friend for dinner and I loved the way the space is laid out. High ceilings, close dining (not too crowded) and uniquely mimicking the areas where the cuisine is native. I noticed a lot of the staff struggled with english but they did their best and they were super sweet. The waiter helped me choose a dish without pork. It came different than the description. There were far more mushrooms than shrimp and (mushrooms weren't even mentioned on the menu) with the addition of a little chili sauce and soy sauce, and it was pretty tasty. Would I get it again? Probably not. As for the appetizer we got, no thanks. Dry and flavorless skewers. Drinks.... no. My tea was definitely mostly milk, and the drink my friend got, was just okay. Another great visit to this Asian spot. I say "Asian" because they serve Thai, Vietnamese, and Japanese. Quiet, low-lit, casual digs. Usually not busy, even on a Friday night. They serve dumplings, pork belly, steamed bun dishes, and they still have that delightful crispy grilled pork belly Banh mi. They have curries, seafood, fried rice, and multiple veggie options. I am still a huge fan of their ramen. My favorite is their spicy miso ramen, with pork stock soup, chashu, scallions, corn, bamboo shoots, and a delicious runny egg. It really is spicy, warm, filling, and the portion is HUGE. They also have a vegetarian mushroom miso ramen that would be a great veggie alternative--mushroom ginger broth, shredded dried mushrooms, corn, scallions, arugula, and toasted sesame. Service is always awesome, super attentive. Drinks are still a little heavy and a little sweet for my taste. The flavors remind me of store-bought packets and kits, which are fine for quick home meals but not definitely what I look for when eating out. Everything was okay. The curry had decent flavor but was really watery, little more than what we expected. The lamb meat texture was soft and tasty though. Both the tom yum and massam was kind of too sweet. At first it was good but I couldnt finish my noodle because the sweetness was too much. I was a bit sad because I never got refill of water and by the time I noticed I felt bad asking cause I was finished with my meal. I think its a great local place and prices are not bad. It pains me to write this because the food I had was really amazing! I had the salmon green curry which was delicious, and our party split the crispy tofu & broccoli and the pork gyoza. My partner got the massaman curry with chicken and got food poisoning!!! We are only visiting NY for a short period and now he's in bed sick and had an extremely horrible time all night. We shared all of our other food yesterday and the appetizers but the ONLY thing he ate that I didn't was his entree at Dock. Also, the service was really slow and we tried looking for someone so we could order, get more water, or our check at the end of the meal and no one was around. Pan-Asian restaurant with a range of dishes and interesting cocktails. The restaurant is themed and decorated like a shipping container. We had the spicy ramen and the Chiang Mai noodle. The spicy ramen was pretty good. But the Chiang Mai noodle was unique and had an incredibly rich flavor and texture. The soup really soaks in the spice blend and the combination of wet and dry noodles is so interesting. I would definitely come back just for that dish! This is a backward review. I have been ordering from Dock Asian Eatery via Uber Eats, etc. during the pandemic, but recently ate at the restaurant. My go-to delivery orders have been mostly the bbq shrimp banh mi, the wings or some other appetizer/small plate item. All have been incredibly delicious, even though the banh mi could use a few more shrimp. Nonetheless, it's a sandwich that I eat extra slow just to savor the layers of flavor. Going forward, earlier this month after rooftop partying with friends, everyone was ravenous and looked at me for a restaurant referral. Naturally, I looked at Yelp and Dock was one of the closest restaurants open to accommodate a vegan, another on a raw food diet and two regular smegular eaters. Our server was so special, patient, accommodating and an overall good sport. We sat outside and loved the decor. The art and the overall space is so beautiful. The food was equally beautiful and absolutely delicious. Everyone was excited and impressed with the plating and the flavors in their food. The raw food eater had the papaya salad and some kind peanut dumplings and thoroughly enjoyed her food. The vegan had mango sticky rice and veggie dumplings and ordered a second plate of dumplings to share with me. They were yummy! I ordered the Thai stir fried rice with shrimp... sigh... so good! Lastly, my big meat eater friend had pork dumplings which she said were really delicious and something else with duck, but she was extremely happy. All were full and happy with Dock Asian Eatery. I had Dock Asian Eatery bookmarked for years before I finally made my way here on Thursday, July 28. My friend had a taste for Asian food and I figured this location would be perfect for us because we can choose food from across the continent. The restaurant has enough space for patrons. There are downstairs, upstairs, and outside seating areas. The service was efficient and friendly. I began with corn fritters, which seems to be a rare find on Thai menus. I was super excited to see it as I hadn't eaten fritters in years. It was everything I remembered -- crispy, sweet, and savory. In typical fashion, I ordered spicy Chicken Pad Thai. Pad Thai has become my go-to order whenever I eat at Thai restaurants and I had to try it here. DAE's Pad Thai is one of the best I've ever had. The Chiang mai noodle is fantastic. It comes with two textures of noodles- a deep fried thinner noodle on top which softens in the broth and a thicker yellow chewy noodle. It has big pieces of dark meat chicken which is cooked perfectly- extremely tender and juicy. The broth has a slightly thick, creamy rich texture. It has so much flavor. Its almost a curry like sweetness with a lot of brightness with a hugely rich, palette coating mouth feel. A consistently delicious bowl of soup that I am always satisfied by. The gyoza are also pretty good with an extremely lacey pan fried crispy bottom. The ambience at this restaurant was amazing. I loved the vibe that they had going on there and the staff were hospitable and friendly. The broth was a curry that had a coconut taste with a tinge of spice (I ordered medium spicy). The pricing was also great for the portion size. However because the dish was on the heavier side, I would have enjoyed a smaller portion with the same price ratio. My brother ordered the spicy miso ramen, which I had the chance to taste and I found it to be alright. The broth was spicer than the chiang mai and similarly it was also a tad heavy. We ordered as a group the sweet corn fritters and they were phenomenal. The crunch of the batter on the outside sat well with the crunch from the corn inside and overall I liked this appetizer. I was excited to try this place but their service and attitude was a let down. They tried to rush us out. The location is great-- really really close to the L train. There are high top tables and lower seats. My favorite are the high top tables. During my most recent visit, we ordered the chicken satay as an appetizer and beef and chicken pad Thai. I've had the curry before and it really slaps. The chicken satay was pretty bug for being an appetizer. Four skewers, the chicken wasn't the best seasoned and was a tiny bit dry but the peanut sauce was out of this world. So amazing we ate it all and would have shamelessly asked for more if we were more hungry. The noodles were the perfect texture. Good serving size and great flavor.
