Came for grand opening after renovations. Great interior lighting and vibes. The Chicken Banh Mi was tender and juicy and the fries were nicely seasoned and stayed crispy for a long time. I've had two things from Little Mo and both were pretty disappointing. It was extra painful since I was there introducing someone to pho, and sadly that this was her first experience. I got there earlier than she did and they have a cute setup, wherein half of the establishment is partitioned into a cafe, so I'd kill some time with a Vietnamese Coffee. I order the coffee and realize he wasn't making it via slow-drip. If anyone knows anything about Vietnamese coffee... yeah. Oh, I should point out at this point that I am Vietnamese. I thought it'd be fun to mess with the guy, so I asked him "what is Vietnamese coffee?" It's probably not his fault for whyever they decided to make Vietnamese coffee this way, so I half expected him to be sheepish about his answer. But nah, this guy straight up was selling me bulls**t, with a fairly defensive tone. Kudos to your employer loyalty but nay to your integrity towards honesty. Horses go neeeeeeeeeeeeeeigh. Also, I think he used seltzer water. There was a bit of a spiciness to it. I actually didn't mind the taste but it wasn't that dichotomy of extreme bitter and sweetness you'd want. So she comes and we order the Lemongrass Pho. You know... it might be a red flag that there were only 3 phos. Anywho, I have pretty low standards for pho. In fact, I was the kid growing up who got s**t from his family for not liking pho, despite coming from a Vietnamese family. And occasionally, I still get sh*t for my stance on ramen being better. I ended liking pho a lot more as an adult but for all intents and purposes, I'm an easy pleaser when it comes to the soup. But their Lemongrass Pho couldn't even meet those standards. Hell, even she was like "this tastes like regular soup". I ordered what tasted like a bowl of water with pho ingredients in them. The only explanation I can give you was that they probably didn't boil it for the necessary hours. Oh yeah, I also got their chickenwings. Those actually tasted exactly how my mom makes them. I'm not saying my mom makes them great, just that the flavors were there. Mom, I'm not sorry. I really liked the interior and the hostess/cashier was really accommodating. Although, I do feel like she upsold me the extra egg in pho. She lowered her head and looked away as she recommended it but I figured, what the hey (horses like hay). I was wrong, I shouldn't have ordered it. PSA - Egg has no business being in pho! Also, the hostess was cute. That... has to do with a lot of my bad decisions. read more

This used to be my favorite date night spot with my partner. Great food, great music, and friendly staff. But lately they've rebranded and it feels much more soulless. They now play top 40s music, changed the seating, and have weirdly generic plates? Before there were beautiful traditional plates and now they're using boring white dishware. I know that's a pretty minute detail to some, but it's just an example of the character that this place once had that is now gone. The neighborhood had definitely changed especially on Myrtle Ave with so many eateries and new establishments opening up. Little Mo what can I say. Got to meet Dave L., Black Label Elite Yelper and his clan. Talk about a man that networks and then some (knows the hottest places). Great place to get lunch. Tried the Pork Banh Mi Sandwich which was okay. Nothing to rave about. Couple of people ordered the pork belly buns and the pho- Will get those the next time. They had very good service here. Holy cow! This place is absolute incredible! I went two days in a row because I couldn't get enough! I ordered the veggie summers rolls to start and they came with a peanut sauce. The wrapper was very sticky but I don't mind that. Inside were noodles, tofu and cucumber and it was delicious, especially when I added some of the hoisin sauce that was on the table. For my entree I ordered the veggie Bahn Mi the first day and the Veggie Vermicelli noodle bowl the next. The tofu for both was hands down the best, most flavorful tofu I have ever had! If I HAD to choose which was better, I would say the bahn mi, simply because it had spicy Mayo and jalapeños on it. Is it authentic? Please, is there even such a thing as authentic VEGAN pho?!?! Pho is classically made with BEEF broth! However, there is no denying that they make a mean lemongrass chicken noodle soup with an awesome chicken broth. I didn't find it too salty, but I also didn't add any additional condiments. I actually thought it tasted perfect the way it was. The little piggy bahn mi was slightly disappointing. As others have mentioned, they over toast the bread, so it really hurt my palate. The pork belly was good, but was kind of tough to chew. Not sure if it was the cut or just how it was prepared. However, I did appreciate the freshness of the veggies and cilantro! Overall, I think their food is a little pricey for: a) their menu, b) their neighborhood. I get that gentrification is all the rage today, and perhaps the atmosphere of the bar/restaurant merits the upcharge, but if you just want a good bowl of pho, $11 is a lot to pay. Walked in they were playing Wu-Tang boom off bat was loving it. The staff was great and the food came out fast. First got the cucumber salad it was very good but towards the bottom where the cucs are sitting in the chili oil was sp sp spiccccy like type of spicy where it hits the back of your throat and cough. First timer here. Coming from the cali where vietnamese pho is a must have after a night of nonsense and a morning of collecting oneself and playing wtf... the ultimate hangover cure. Lil mo, was rather impressive. I ordered the Classic Beef pho. Bowl comes with: 16hr beef +oxtail brewed broth, rare rib eye, beef meatballs, rice noodles and bean sprouts. All ingredients accounted for are my usual except the beef meatballs and shredded beef. Which was not bad, just different from your typical "bo' tai" (rare steak only) pho. The broth is salty and very savory. The other meats bring out different notes to the broth and note either sweet or saltier depending on the meat. The veggies are already added. Not as a side. If you're not into the mint and cilantro, speak now or forever be sad becuase those are profound tastes and you done not paid attn. Bonus: Bone marrow on the side or a side egg is 3 bucks extra. My friend said it was worth it! You have your oyster sauce and sriracha next to you just in case all else fails. However, I doubt you will be disappointed.
