Amazing! This is way overdue but because of Leila I am obsessed with finding a good "medi pedi" or "dry pedicure" in New York. I came across Leila during a work trip. My mom and I went here for my birthday, and we both had an uncomfortable, not so great experience. She made a couple rude comments to me, but mainly we both just felt like it was highly overpriced, and definitely lower down on our lists of nail salons we would return to. $75 for a waterless pedicure, with no cuticle cleanup, or foot exfoliation or anything, just some polish is just absolutely insane to me(and we were both expecting a massage, since that's what was advertised). She is good in handling client and chatting but I was not satisfied with her services at all. Manicure: ok Pedicure: 1.Cut my nails short without even asking me if I wanted to cut or just file. The nail polish was the only plus. My cuticles hurt and were worse off after. They were immediately cracked and didn't trim. And very expensive. Twice the price. Sorry that I tipped her. My SIL and I had a mani pedi session with Leila, and it all came out perfect. Leila is a warm host who served us mimosas and chatted with us as she worked. Her methods are waterless, but you still get the full relaxing experience with warm footrests and warm moist towels. Instead of using a cuticle trimmer, she uses a gentle electric buffing tool on cuticles, and a similar tool for removing rough spots on your feet. We didn't get shellac, but the nail polish she uses is vegan and dries hard in 5 minutes. It's the best polish I've ever had on; I'm nearly at 6 days since and it's barely showing signs of wear. It has a cheap sounding brand name, Dazzle Dry, but it's quality stuff. Leila works from early in the morning until the evening, and is often booked solid. She had to turn down multiple people who called hoping for an appointment that evening while we were there. Book ahead! Her shop is also tucked in the upstairs of a boutique called "Do the Extraordinary," so you'll need to start there to find your way. read more

Leila is wonderful. I booked a last minute pedicure appointment yesterday because my right foot was hurting. I have a bone spur in my right foot, major callouses, and ingrown toenails. I planned on getting a pedicure then using Baby Feet, a heavy duty peel product that causes major peeling for around two weeks. Thanks to Leila, I don't need it now. Leila is so fab. You kind of feel like you've known her for ages. She really takes care of you too, like gives you food and drink if you have low blood sugar!;-) Her shellac manis and modern pedis are just perfect when you seek and on the go yet relaxing experience, although if you just want relaxing, she does that too! Equipment is high tech- quick UV drying, lightning speed vibrating tool for cuticles, warm vibrating space for your feet. Leila uses VMV Hypoallergenics products. The consistency and light scent are just perfect, I may have to get some for at home. *Side note* She does patient wellness work at local hospitals. If you have a loved one staying at a hospital nearby, you can purchase a certificate and she will travel there for services, which is SUCH a sweet thing to do, going out of your way/salon to make patients' days a little brighter. After reading these great reviews, I gave Leila a call/text and she was able to fit me in while I was in town for a quick trip. Let me tell you, she is so warm and fun and real! We had a great visit, with the BeeGees playing in the background and pup George snoozing in the sun, while I had one of the best mani/pedis ever. My hands and feet are beautiful and happy and the Dazzle Dry is a game-changer (she sells small kits, I bought one). An added bonus - I gave her a heads up that I had a small splinter in the sole of my foot and had given up trying to get it out, and she said she could get it out easily. Despite my squeamishness, she got it out quickly and pain-free! All this is to say that, if I lived here, I would be a regular for any of her services. I will echo the sentiments of everyone else who has commented. Leila is great and her services are too! I was really nervous to get the shellac because of the way it has ruined my nails in the past. I had the shellac on for three weeks with NO chipping, and then had her remove it today. My nails have zero polish (I opted to let them air out) and they look so fab - seriously, they're like perfect. I had the biggest smile on my face when I saw the final product. You will not find a better manicurist or esthetician than Leila in Seattle. Her pedicures and Shellac (no chip) manicures are done dry (no water) with exemplary results. It's very clean and sanitary without feeling overly sterile. It doesn't just feel luxury, it IS luxury. My hands and feet always look and feel incredible, and they've gotten healthier since I've been seeing Leila. She does not shy away from letting you know when your fingers or toes need a break from the polish to breathe or how to take care of them. This woman really cares about her clients and their health. I've also had the pleasure of getting facials with Leila that are customized for my skin, and I'm always left with glowing skin. It's pretty incredible, and her pricing is so reasonable. I've paid double to triple at many a spa with results that don't come close to meeting the Leila Klein bar. A trip to Leila Klein feels like the best kind of therapy. Oh my goodness. I have never ever left a nail salon in tears until now. I pride myself on my strong long nails. A friend of mine suggested SNS dip. Her nails after removal were amazing. So I tired it. Leila had great reviews so I thought I'd try. Going here was honestly the biggest mistake I've made with my nails. After I couldn't find the salon, I called her. I was looking for any sign of a salon or any sign of her. I had told her that I was outside a clothing shop and she had said well there is only one extraordinaire and hung up. After reluctantly going inside the clothing shop around a corner that looked like a back room and then I saw the sign. I was greeted with a barking and growling dog. Small and cute but very loud. After a few min of soaking and her punishing me for not telling her I had dip on, she then took out her filing machine. As she was filing my nails, they began to burn. At first it was just the one, but it became unbearable. To shorten this review I'll let you know she literally filed away so much of my nail that they were bleeding underneath. I started to cry and she had said "they could be worse". I was furious. She didn't trim any dead skin or help my cuticle. Just a nail removal that destroyed my nails. It will take at least a year to fully restore and even then, my nails might not ever be the same. It gets worse!!!! I was getting a brow wax and tint but I said, if I don't need a brow wax I'll just do the tint. I had gotten them waxed a few weeks before. She continued to just was a little in the middle and charged me for a FULL BROW WAX. A little few plucks and it would have been fine. I work at a high end cosmetics store and tell anybody who asks if there is a place near to get nails done, I always say anywhere but here. I walked out with bare demolished nails and $75 less. Never again. I'm furious even writing this post. Ps. A month later, my nails are as bendy as my hair and split down the middle. I have been going to Leila for over a year, first in her Ravenna location and then when she moved downtown, right down the street from my office. I have mostly gone to her for dry shellac manicures but recently, waxing. I have had prior waxes that were terrible from other places, but Leila is clearly very experienced and makes them as enjoyable as they could be! Leila is absolutely lovely - she has become a good friend over the year I have been going to see her. She will fit you in no matter what, even if it's coming in early morning, staying til well after dinner or working well over an 8 hour day. Where do I begin? Leila is phenomenal! I visited her salon on a work trip for a pedicure and came back a couple of days later for a facial. As many reviews have already mentioned, she is meticulous, talented, SO passionate about her job and extremely knowledgeable (she's been in the industry for a long time). Leila is extremely accommodating and tries to work with any schedule (although she is in high demand as I noticed while getting my pedicure). Her pedicure technique is different than any other pedicure I've ever gotten. She doesn't use water (as water can carry lots of germs), instead she uses heat.
