Wanted to find a nail salon while traveling because my previous set was getting old. I'm always hesitant to try new salons because the vibes can be 50/50. I wasn't impressed by Yelps options so when I looked on Google I was surprised I hadn't seen Perfection Nails on yelp as the reviews were so high on Google. I called in for a walk in and they accepted. I was surprised by how small the place was, with 3 pedicure chairs/3 manicure chairs/1 bathroom, but they greeted me with enthusiasm and I felt comfortable. I liked that they lock the door from the outside so you don't have to worry about any unwanted guests coming in. Vy did my nails and she was super patient and nice, a lot of conversations that were pleasantly more than small talk! She's super funny and lovely it made me kind of sad I couldn't be a regular as I'm just visiting. But what mattered to me most is I'm a super indecisive person, so her not guilting me about changing my mind and being supportive was super reassuring for me. The price for a refill and 2 nail designs might be considered pricey, but I honestly didn't mind because Vy was so attentive to me and really took her time. I had the worst nail experience here. My nails were severely damaged after my appointment. Multiple nails chipped off shortly after, and my natural nail surface was left rough, thin, and painful. I contacted the salon right away to report the issue. I was initially told to come back, but when I did, they refused to take responsibility and said I would have to pay the full amount again for them to fix what they had ruined. No apology, no solution, no accountability. The work was poor, the products felt low quality, and the customer service was even worse. I now have damaged nails that will take weeks if not months to repair, and the salon showed zero interest in helping. Save your money and your nails. There are many better places that actually stand behind their work. This is not one of them. read more

I saw Vi today for gel-x fill (my previous gel-x was just 2-3 weeks old so a fill was suitable). V was very attentive and super sweet. She was very gentle with my nails and I experienced zero discomfort. Pricing was very reasonable. I get my nails done regularly and have been for about 6 years now-and really appreciate how well my nails were done. I was able to get in without appointment so that was good. The girl who did my nails was gentle and didnt cut my skin so I was glad with that. But the quality could have been so much better. Right after she was done with my nails, I can see so much gap near the cuticles. They look like at least a week of growth after the day they were done. See pictures which I took right after they were done. When I asked her, she said if she painted the polish closer to the cuticles, the polish might smear to my skin (which I think was exactly why I went to a salon instead of doing it myself) . Also, admittedly I should have asked for a third coat and that's on me--their quality is subpar at best. And maybe don't have one shared cloth towel for folks to dry their hands off in the restroom, that's just unsanitary. No thanks. read more

Came in for a scheduled appointment but they had just started on another 2 clients pedicures-- when I walked in the vibe was very tense and one of the customers being serviced was speaking to me in an extremely rude tone when I didn't hear what one of the technicians said to me. I give 3 stars because I didn't actually get serviced so can't comment on their work. Google reviews had 4.5 but yelp is 3.5 stars. Went on yelp when I arrived and noticed that although they told me $55 for gel pedicure with removal, other customers had been charged $80. This is my third time getting my nails done here and I'm probably not going back. I got a dip mani this afternoon and within two hours one of my nails cracked. I returned to get it fixed, but two hours after that, my thumb chipped as I turned the deadbolt for my front door. I have never had such poor quality dip used on my nails. I would appreciate a refund for this service, since I will have to get a completely new dip set. Two nails cracked and chipped the same day I get them done, and I was careful with them. I have not done anything out of the ordinary. Also, the last time I went to this salon, I had an appointment and waited nearly an hour. A woman whose appointment was after mine, and who arrived after I did, got seated before me. I did not have time to wait longer and left. Very frustrating.
