Such an amazing atmosphere and talented nail artists! Annie and Tin did my nails. Was looking for a place that did intricate nail art and they did not disappoint. They're honest with what they can or can't do so that you get exactly what you want. They also take the time to ask what you'd like, and even go nail by nail if that's you're thing, just to make sure you're happy. I don't get my nails done often because I don't find the process relaxing usually and if I spend that much time in there, I feel like I need some nail art or something I can't do at home which other places can't do intricate nail art, but this spot is perfect! Also, they were so accommodating to seat my friend and I together who got different services ie mani vs Pedi that we had such a great time that I actually found it relaxing and want to make this a routine thing rather than special treat. They serve aroom coffee/matcha which I really love. Great place for nails and vibes read more

Great attention to detail and they are never rushing to get done with you. Highly recommend making an appointment since walk ins are rare if ever any. They promise a chip free gel manicure and you can return for them to fix it for free should it chip within a week or so. Great vibe where you can actually relax! read more

I've been a Nail Box customer for a couple years now because it's one of the few nail salons with good ventilation and low smell. However, the communication and the quality of the pedicures is so inconsistent that I have given up on the place. When I book online, I provide instructions but no one ever reads them. I always request no massage and no filing of calluses, but they always do it anyway. My nails are usually cut the wrong way with the clippers (inverted U). I give up on them. read more

Very calming in this place - it was full not loud but the service was great! I was offered a water sparkling or still on arrival, given a fantastic manicure, and assisted in finding the perfect color for the day. Though I wish the staff was a little more excited to chat (I love coming to the nail salon and meeting new people including my tech and neighbors) I was extremely happy with the manicure. I just got the bare gel as it was my first time and I have had such bad luck win nail places around Seattle. This one left my hands looking AMAZING as well as had lasted a split 2 weeks with no chips or cracks. It could probably go another just fine but I'm going back to get them done this week because they are growing out so nicely. read more

Excellent salon with very nice staff and hygienic manicure service. Haven't been for a pedicure but dying to try it because they offer paraffin wax treatments. Manicures are fantastic and the artists are VERY creative. read more

I visited today for a manicure and booked a Tier 2 appointment. Initially, my nail technician told me she couldn't do the design I wanted because of the appointment type I selected. About halfway through the service, she said she could do the design after all, but I would need to be charged for a Tier 3 appointment. I agreed and proceeded with the service. However, at the end of the appointment, I was told my hand massage would be skipped because she was running behind for her next client. This was disappointing, especially since the same thing happened during my previous visit with a different technician. The technician was very kind, but she appeared to be new and frequently needed assistance from another staff member. What confused me most was the pricing. According to the salon's website, Tier 2 includes French tips with chrome, which is the design I received, yet I was still charged for a Tier 3 service. Overall, while the final nails turned out fine, I was disappointed by the inconsistent pricing and not receiving the full service that was included with my appointment--particularly on two separate visits. read more

Very clean & people are very nice I don't typically do manicure but really enjoyed my first experience here with my sister. They also offer aftercare services if your manicure gets damaged a bit within a day and they will repair for you The fact that I most enjoyed about was their black sesame latte - it's from Aroom coffee shop! I will definitely going back here (and also just for coffee too!) read more

I just had my first appointment ever at Urban Nail Box, and I will definitely become a repeat client. Chloe did an amazing job with my GelX extension manicure and pedicure. She removed my prior extensions gently, selected and shaped my nails perfectly, checked frequently for feedback, and applied color and art with precision. The appointment was long (3hrs for the removal, full set, and pedi), but well worth the time. Getting to order a Vietnamese coffee was icing on the cake! read more

This was my first time at Urban Nail Box and my experience was amazing! I'm from out of town and I was looking for a nail salon in the greater Seattle area that could do quality nail art. I found this salon after some research, and brought in some reference photos for the appointment. My nails were done by Chloe, and she really took her time making sure each nail was done perfectly. Chloe and the receptionist were both super friendly, and I had a great time chatting with them during my appointment. The appointment lasted about 3 hours between my mani and pedi. In the end, my nails ended up matching the reference photos exactly, and I'm so happy with the result!! They also have free still and sparkling water, as well as lattes available for purchase in the salon! read more

There is a reason I've been coming to Urban Nail Box for so many years. The customer service is above and beyond. They have always been able to do every design I've brought actually better than the inspiration. If they weren't able to I have the confidence they would let me know and why they might not be able to. You're welcomed as soon as you enter. There is a reason so many people return and are repeat customers. It's evident in the interaction you see with their customers. Always look forward to my visits each month. read more

I am a huge, huge fan of Urban Nail Box! I have always wanted to do nail art and never really knew how to ask for what I wanted. I have had Annie, Jenny, and Tin as my technicians and they are all consummate artists and professionals and have helped me realize my "vision" for my nail art. My extensions also last--something that I've never really experienced before as I can be hard on my nails. Everyone is so sweet and so good at what they do--I really look forward to my monthly appointment! read more

Urban Nail Box was so accommodating! I booked a group appointment for myself, my sister, and my mom before coming into town for my wedding. My mom and my sister said they felt very relaxed by their pedis, and I can't thank Urban Nail Box enough for the attention and care they put into my nails for my big day. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond giving me the mushroom nails of my dreams! Thank you! read more

I've been a frequent customer of Urban Nail Box in Fremont, and I've always loved the results, but my most recent experience was remarkable. I got my nails done almost a month ago. Not only did my nail artist take a thoughtful, detailed approach and create results better than any of my reference photos, but these nails have lasted SO LONG! I've gotten so many compliments. Yesterday I literally clawed my way up a sand dune and my nails still look amazing. I would give more than five stars if I could! read more

After searching a few places around Seattle and seeing such strong ratings for this nail salon, I needed to see for myself! My first experience was amazing - I wondered if similarly rated salons would compare, but after some tests I discovered they do not! Urban Nail Box is far superior. Booking online is super easy. They fill up quickly so I recommend booking in advance. There's always been someone available to check me in and I'm seated shortly after. They offer sparkling water and tea. Haven't been in a while, but it looks like they did some updates to the space - it's definitely more modern and minimal looking than most other salons. I've gotten both regular and gel polish here. The paraffin wax is so nice on your skin, I recommend the package with that. I never feel like I'm rushed or being pushed out the door when I'm near finished. I only go on occasion, but this is the only salon in Seattle I'll visit! As a sidenote, they do have parking, but it's always full so I usually park at one of the next-door businesses and it's fine. read more

I have not had a better nail experience in my life! In the past, I have chosen more affordable salons that tend to hurt or damage my nails and the experience is usually quick and sometimes painful. It's been a while since I've gotten my nails done because I worked at a job where we could not have painted nails. I wanted to make sure that if I was going to get nails, it was a good investment for me I chose the gel extensions and a simple design. Thee did a wonderful job. Both Thee and the receptionist let me know that if I wanted more detailed design to send a picture ahead of time because they have nail artists available as well they will be in my regular salon going forward is was worth it read more

Being new to Seattle, one of my first missions was to find a nail salon. I chose 3 that I wanted to try before deciding where to become a regular. Urban Nail Box was the second that I tried. I got to the area a bit early so that I could explore a bit. I was able to get some work done in a coffee shop around the corner. There's also eyebrow threading nearby, which is convenient if you like to knock everything out at once like I do. I really enjoyed Urban Nail Box. The space is very comfortable, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. They had a selection of complementary drinks to choose from. They also have a decent selection of colors. The colors are actually on a website, which made it a bit difficult to choose from. I'm not great at visualizing how the colors will look on me so I prefer to see the colors on the physical display. Tristie was incredibly helpful, though. She showed me some options so that I could pick the one I liked the most. Since it was my birthday, I treated myself to the Gel Ultimate Urban Mani and Pedi. She did a wonderful job. Actually, this might have been the most relaxing pedicure I have EVER gotten. And I've had my fair share. While I did miss having a massage chair, I found the couch at the pedicure station to be very comfortable. The manicure lasted quite a while, especially considering that I took up indoor bouldering and have no shortage of ways to potentially ruin my nails. Highly recommend! read more

Urban Nail Box - Gel mani after a week - Nail Salons Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I've reinstated my nail journey after years of bare nails/press ons. This is my second time getting my nails done with Urban Nail Box (first one was at Fremont), but their Ballard location is much more accessible to me. It's much smaller than the the Fremont location, but the service is as good (or maybe even better). I got my nails done by Tin, who's super nice. Her style is maximalism (as she mentioned), so the design that I brought to her was on the simpler side. She even made sure I paid the proper amount, which is so commendable! I got there at 12:15, I was out by 12:50pm. And in between my appointment, Tin was welcoming every customer that came in and even opened the door to some customers that were struggling with it. By the end of it, she made sure that I knew of the store's policies (like if I ever chip my nail within a certain time frame, touch up, etc). She has warm and friendly vibes, and I left with an amazing experience and an amazing set of nails. I think I found my go to! Thank you, Tin! read more

Urban Nail Box - Love Tin's design!! High quality, and really detail - Nail Salons Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I knew I liked this place right when you walk in and are greeted w a friendly face and a hint of lemongrass in the air. Went twice with two nail technicians and have not been disappointed. Went first for a trail and a second time for my wedding day (pic is my wedding nails almost a week after they were done got busy with the wedding so I didn't get a chance to post this review right away). Three of these nails were also a nail repair! Tin was my wedding nails technician and I booked the 30 min nail art. I had all these ideas on Pinterest and she took the simple ideas I had and made it better - being clear about color, design, and accents every step of the way. I loved how honest she was about what she could do with nail art...I've been to enough places where they say they can do something and it looks so bad but they still upcharge you for it anyway. Here - you get what you pay for. Parking can be a pain, lucky enough to get street parking but the small lot in front of the salon has been full the two times I've been. Can't wait to think of some more fun designs to get - this is definitely my go to spot for special occasions! read more

Urban Nail Box - 30 min nail art for wedding - Nail Salons Near Me - Seattle, Washington

I was very impressed by the kind warm vibes and quality work. one of the only places that serviced gelx nails. Found them to be very comfortable and none of which popped off by the next appointment time. I had gel extensions with no removal ($74) with a 30 min nail design($36). Kaylee did a wonderful job on the nail art and was very patient; with good suggestions for an indecisive person like myself. loved the hot towel and massage at the end. even tho it's a bit of a drive for me and parking is slim (there is a safeway and street parking tho) definitely returning to my new fav nail place! :) read more

My nails always look great when I get them done here, I love the atmosphere and the best customer service!

They won't let you pay for a gel removal if you didn't get your nails done at their salon in the first place. They are always booked up so I had to go somewhere else in the meantime so it sucks that they won't remove anything from another salon. Basically this place doesn't want your business unless you religiously get your nails done here which is unrealistic. read more

Very disappointing. I went here once, liked itand wanted to go back. The website did not say when the salon had time for what type of service. I decided to call. I left a message, but they didn't return the call. I tried again and got through to a person who put me on hold for 6+ minutes. I gave up. I left two more messages, to their answering machine which said "We are with another client but we will return your call shortly." It's been all day and no call. I booked with a different salon. read more

UNB has been my go to for a few years now and really appreciate that it is woman owned and operated though I feel like the quality has decreased significantly. My last mani, the tech forgot the top coat and sent me out, I had to come back a day later for touch ups. I recently had a gel mani done and the tech was so so rushed I felt stressed the entire time I was there. While I feel like the quality and service were worth the high prices in the past, I am not so sure anymore! Also, as a previous reviewer mentioned, it would be nice if the techs did not take up all the parking in the front so the customers can park. read more

I would be giving 1 star if my wife didn't like the service they do. But My wife comes here a lot and of course I must be here bc I don't let her go anywhere without me, especially the city. Sometimes we have the first appointment of the day and others a little after and all the parking allowed for the salon is taken. It appears alllll the nail techs get dibs on the parking in front the salon and us customers must find street parking down the road and have to walk in. read more

I've been coming here once a month for about 1.5 years now and I still love it! I always have a great time, everyone is friendly and makes an effort to remember regulars. They also have water or la croix for you as you walk in and I feel their prices are reasonable for the level of nail art you can get. Overall, I recommend this nail salon to all of my friends and have converted multiple people. The best part is that it is consistently good. Highly recommend coming in! FYI that the Ballard location is the older location. Both locations have almost only street parking. read more

Urban Nail Box is quite possibly the best nail salon in Seattle. What an incredibly professional team with the ability to curate nails into works of art! Every client I saw in and out during my service had exceptional looking nails. On my end - I was stunned - My nails have never looked better - it's the first time in my life where I felt like I had movie star quality nails. I cannot recommend this place enough and recommend it to all. They are popular (given the above, naturally) so booking online is the best. read more

Today was the second time I've gotten my nails done at the Urban Nail Box. I wish I took a before picture, because it had been exactly 2 weeks from my first appointment and my manicure still looked as good as day one, aside from the fact that my nails had grown out. Lenny was my technician both times and both times I've been wowed by her precision. I leave feeling extremely satisfied & feel like I got exactly what I asked for & wanted. Today I wasn't sure between two colors and she swatched both on me so I could decide. I have never ever been to a nail salon that has such a chill yet upscale vibe, and such consistent and friendly service from check-in to check-out. If you appreciate beautifully manicured and/or uniquely designed nails, then this is the #1 salon to visit in Seattle. And of all nail artists, Lenny is my absolute favorite. She has amazing attention to detail and concentrates as much on the grooming aspect of the service as much as she does on the nail art. Because of that, she's created incredibly eye catching designs which my friends and family (and even strangers) get excited to see. I trust Lenny 100% for special occasion/event nails, everyday nails, and everything in between. Just show her a photo of your vision (or describe it!) and she'll make it a reality. In addition to Lenny, the salon space itself is super chill and welcoming, and I always look forward to my visits here! read more

if i can rate 0 stars I WOULD. Terrible communication skills. apparently they don't care how you feel about your nails. I was forced to pick one solid color because when i asked for a French tip, she said she could do it because another client was coming after me. HOW F** RUDE. Clearlay they do not value their customers, and do not care how we feel leaving. i got the worst mani ever in my entire life, she cut my real nails, and none of them are equal size, everything overall AWFUL. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. BETWEEN AMY'S BOGUS EXCUSE TO WHY SHE COULDNT JUST GIVE ME A FRNCH TIP, TO TINS UNPLEASING SOLUTION, THEY ALL SUCK. SHAME ON YOU ALL. read more

This is my very first time I come to this studio, so cozy and not having chemical smells at all. Such easy peasy steps to make appointment as well. I was confused a little bit how much time should I book extra for the nail art because I didn't have any particular preference so I just did the max one just in case. No more saying bout how happy I am right now, just look at this nail art I got. I never got nail design or extensions before so I was kinda nervous and too indecisive. Tin was so helpful and gentle w my hand. I ended up just let her free hand whatever matching up w spring weather. Yet, not regretting at all! Ngl now I have new addiction y'lll Gurs, their massage w lotion gave me a moment of napping too, so soft and smoothhhh! The price is worth every of my pennies for sure.
