Your average salon no better than it for sure but not terrible either although maybe my nail chipping after I paid for a manicure the same day could be considered bad. I understand this is a services business but I don't understand the pushiness of leaving one by pushing my hand away to pay for the actual service- communicating in English seemed to be a challenge but it's a necessity when you interact with people. Still the best!!! Been going here for 10 plus years. They've moved and are now Lavender Nails, but they are just down the street from where they used to be. Thuy, Kathy, Snow, Tammy (I'm forgetting some more names).....everyone that I have seen there is great! I've moved about 40 minutes away and cannot find a nail salon that is comparable and there are tons of them in my new hood. So I still make the commute to see the lovely people at this superb nail salon. My nails, (fingers and toes) always look and feel so much better after a visit here. Lavender nails opened in 2022 so everything is new. Close to Magnolia and Queen Anne, great location. New massage chairs for pedicure and hundreds of new polishes to choose from. They have every color you could ever want. Most importantly I saw that there is a lot of cleaning and sanitizing happening and all of the implements are sanitized and clean. Very friendly. Accommodating on same day needs and walk ins are ok too. Garage parking small lot underground but makes it worry free from battling for a parking spot on the road. read more

Despite living in Interbay for almost two years, I'd never been to Princess Nails. What in the hell is my problem? Honestly, I've never noticed the shop, it's outshined by the psychic and other businesses but if you need a pedicure, figure out where it is because it's terrific. I made an appointment though they will take walk-ins. I am a very impatient being so I prefer having an appointment. They took me about 2 minutes after my set time and sat me down in the princess chair. My nail technician was very nice, pleasant and professional, she worked quickly but with care, and though it had been a few months since my last appointment, she made my feet look human again. Overall this is a pretty decent salon. My nails turned out well, but will see how long they last. The salon is clean and modern with regular pedicure chairs (something that seems to be fairly rare in salons around Seattle). My 2 complaints are that they don't use plastic liners in the basin for pedicures, and that they did my gel manicure during my pedicure. This felt rushed and not very relaxing. I'm not sure why they did it that way - other customers didn't have that and they didn't seem super busy. This is a convenient salon, pretty decent and easy to schedule with - but I would probably opt for other places first. read more

This is the first time I have ever been disappointed enough to leave a review. I went to this salon for a gelX removal. I called an hour before closing to ask if they had time to squeeze me in well aware that I was pushing the time limit. I asked if after removal I would be able to get a plain polish manicure if I was comfortable leaving with them wet and they said ok. When I arrived 10 minutes later they told me I could either do no manicure or a gel manicure due to time, so I said I was completely fine with no color presuming that meant I was agreeing to only a removal. The price of a gel removal at this salon is $10 and technically gelX should qualify under this price point, however acrylic removal is priced at $20 and due to the fact that they were squeezing me in and my removal took quite some time I was fully prepared for that to be my total. The reason I have had tips for the last 3 months was to grow out my healthy nails so when I got them removed I was hoping for a shaping of my now naturally longer nails...instead my nails were clipped and filed down to the skin and initially I thought ok, this is an opportunity for them to recover from the damage of gel...after I left however I realized that they were jagged and completely destroyed. On top of the damage charged I was charged $40 which I left an 20% tip on. But when I asked why the price was $40 instead of the listed removal prices they replied that it also included the manicure I received. In my opinion chopping my nails off and leaving them jagged without even applying lotion does not qualify as a manicure. I left beyond frustrated. read more

Overall it was okay. I made an appointment for a pedicure and that was fine. But I was mostly just disappointed with the service. When I got there they placed me at a chair that hadn't been cleaned on the side and it was nearly impossible to get someone to pay attention to me. I appreciate some exfoliation with a pedicure but I left with what felt like a gentle foot massage with some lotion and new polish. First time here! Not usually in Seattle so this place was picked at random, mostly because it was the only place near me that was open. I called before to make sure they had the dip powder. I was sat down right away and got to choose between a large variety of colors. I wasn't in any type of hurry which was definitely a good thing because they were kind of busy. Three different people worked on my nails. The very last nail tech did an awesome job at shaping my nails. They charged $40 just for the color change. I chose a deep color so they only had to do two coats, if I had chose a lighter one they would've definitely had to do more and I think my nails would've turned out way too thick. Every other salon I've been to since pales in comparison-- they're more expensive and their quality is poor. Princess Nails is extremely affordable and I have never had a gel manicure chip. Not to mention their staff is very friendly, they're quick, and they have a large selection of colors. I had done some researching on manicure places in Seattle before I had arrived. Princess Nails had excellent reviews. After my day at the Space Needle, and Chihuly Glass and Garden, I drive over to this nail salon. There is free parking. I got the spot closest to the door. Four women greeted me. Wow! I was a walk-in customer and they happy accepted me. There was one other woman getting a pedicure and was done. We chatted for a bit about shellac polish, which I was about to get. The technician was fast. She was removing my shellac polish that I have had for nearly a month, which started to chip this week. I was still trying to figure out what polish colour I wanted. I wet with purple and wondered about whether I could get sparkles. She was great suggesting carpus sparkly colours. I settled for silver. The quality of my manicure is incredible. It is indeed a top-notch place to get a shellac manicure. Whenever I am visiting this city and need a manicure, I'm here! read more

This is by far the worst experience I have ever had. I've been getting my acrylics done for about 2 years and decided to try a new place. The first complaint I have is I had an appointment scheduled a week before. The appointment was scheduled for 10am when I arrived I had to wait 45 minutes till they started. When I showed her the picture of what I wanted the woman said yes we can do that. What I wanted wasn't difficult at all. No design just plain black long stiletto acrylics. When I sat down and the plastic base was put on she cut it shorter then I have ever gotten my nails in my entire life. She then proceeded to tell me that they would just snap if I got them any longer. I know this is not true because just a few weeks before I had gotten a set done at a different salon that were 5x longer and did not break once. Next, she was shaping the nails she continuously cut my actual fingers. When I went to wash my hands before the paint my finger was bleeding. Once she had completely finished shaping, the nails were uneven lengths as well as bumpy on the sides and I had paint all over my hands. I asked her to fix them and she said no she wouldn't fix them and thait just my nail bed and they needed to grow out. As for the long wait time it is just because they were completely overbooked, and I understand that BUT they continued to let people come and and were taking new costumers the entire time I was there! Very very poor time management on their part. My last complaint is more then half the salon smelled very strongly of weed. Just overall and service was terrible I will NOT be returning. read more

They have a few parking spots that you can park at. I usually just get a pedicure which is $25. The staff have always been super friendly. One of the times I went, I had to wait a while even though I had an appt, and they gave me a discount on my pedi cuz I waited so long. This place gets busy on the weekends! Holy cow! It's really hard to find a good nail shop especially in around the city. I tend to go all the way down to Renton to get my nails did because let's be honest, technicians do it better in the hood. Let me start by saying, this place is probably the most cleanest nail salons I've ever seen. They actually use very obviously clean tools and new scrubber and files for each client. (I've been to one in Queen Anne where it looks like I'm the 30th client she has used the same gloves on.
