I don't know if some will agree, but I'm not high maintenance. I wish I could swing a regular massage, but most days I just make it work with a monthly pedicure. For me, a spa chair, my toes in hot swirling water, a tea and some trashy mags is just a few steps short of heaven. What I love about this indulgence (at least when I lived in San Francisco) is that a mani/pedi was a bargain. It looks great, feels great, and was a good value at $20 Moving to Seattle shattered that dream. My first mani pedi here was a frightening $55, and involved two hairstylists (i'm guessing, it was a salon) doing a lame job compared to the asian nail salon efficiency I had known. When I finally zeroed in on the $30 mani/pedi, I found myself back in my comfort zone. (Pedicure, I can not quit you, and now I don't have to!) But for $30, I made due with ancient and outdated magazines, broken chairs, gossipy staff chatter, a perfunctory job and questionable hygiene. Still, I hung on to my little slice of heaven by every toe! Flash forward to Magnolia Nail. A clean, small shop, ample free 2 hour parking out front, This is a two person shop, so call ahead, don't drop by. While it's not the Ritz (I never saw the value in a high end nail salon) this is a very cute shop. I have to say for a $30 mani/pedi (no longer $25, as others have Yelped) and compared to the other spots I've tried, Magnolia Nails is spotless, quiet, friendly, attentive, uses a great orange ceamcycle smelling scrub, has functioning spa chairs, the very latest trashy mags, offered bottled water, and took a great service approach. My only frustration is difficultly getting through to them on the phone to score an appointment. read more

I have gone to this salon twice while visiting family in the neighborhood. They are taking all Covid precautions, appointments only, one client at a time, temperature check on entry, plexiglas shields. The pedicure includes a sugar scrub, leg and foot massage including warm stones. Very relaxing experience. My nails and toes look great. read more

This place is fabulous! I think that the women who work there do a wonderful job and are so grateful for your business. They provide a clean environment, nice updated chairs, water or drink if you desire and I never feel like they are rushing to just get the job done. From the hot stones, the sugar scrub , warm towels to the massaging chairs, it makes me feel relaxed. The costs of the materials have gone up, they have lost a lot of business due to COVID. The manicures are just as relaxing. Kind women here who drive back and forth from Edmonds to be there for you. If your nails breaks after a manicure within reasonable time, they will fix it if you are patient in between servicing their current clients. I have been to fancy spas and this is a better way to help neighboring small businesses and hard working people. Make an appt by phone, give them time to answer and then show up on time and don't be a no show, someone else would like your time. You will be glad you did. read more

I've been a lower queen anne diamond nail and it's neighboring competition customer for a few years. But I moved to the Mag and needed to find a quick and easy place a little closer to home. I walked into Magnolia Nails for a mani/pedi. No parking issues, no metermaids to look out for. It looked clean, small and very nice. But it looked pricey. And I was OK with that as I was greeted promptly and kindly, not in an assembly line kind of way a la Diamond Nails. While I wasn't tagged teamed by a duo of fast paced ladies, I was in and out within an 1hr. Now for the best part. It was the exact same price as the lower queen anne chop shop salons! $25 mani/pedi combo. I'm looking forward to going today. read more

I came in with my mom on a Saturday afternoon for pedicures. They were able to take us on pretty short notice, did a nice job, were reasonably priced, and the place was very clean and sanitary (which is a must in my book!). It seems to be a family run business which is nice. The man of the establishment does actual nail work, which I was impressed with. (I hate nail salons where the women do all the work and the men just collect the money.) read more

What is it with nail places 'closing' before the time they are stated to close?? Like, saying closing at 4pm when their sign say 5pm??? I walk in at 4:30, and the woman at the front desk says they're closed! Their door said it closes at 5 PM; there was even a woman sitting in the chair getting a pedicure and she just looked at me with a blank stare. Ridiculous! I have never experienced this before. The nail salons I have been to in the past stayed open 30-45min past the stated closing time (so closes at 7:30-45 instead of 7pm). So, they didn't accept any more jobs past 7pm, but finished the ones they had who came in before closing. Really frustrating! read more
