Salon itself is nice and seems clean. There was a guy (maybe the owner) who was nice, and the girl that did my pedicure was also nice. But... the pedicure felt so so rushed. Like she was trying to get through it as quickly as possible. So fast that she didn't even trim my cuticles. During the 5 min massage part, she was literally leaning over and looking at the timer for the last 30 or so seconds just waiting for it to go off. The paint job was barely just ok. When I got home and looked up close I noticed there's a decent portion of each nail that doesn't even have paint. The pedicure was relatively cheap compared to prices these days ($32), but with the quality of the paint job and the rushed feeling of the service, I won't be back. read more

Unfortunately I wanted to love this place because the people who work here are great. But after two visits and a polish change I won't be back. My nails are slightly un even and even after pointing it out they weren't fixed. It wasn't enough for me not notice until I had left. I went in for a polish change and I should have asked the price but I didn't expect $30 plus $10 for chrome which is chipping 2 days later. They don't feel like the coffin shaped I asked for. Some is lack of communication on my part, so maybe others have a better experience but I don't have the budget for expensive and poor quality nails. read more

From beginning to end, it was professional, and welcoming, and my nails look amazing. i was in heaven with the hand massage which included hot stones and hot towels. Communication isn't frustrating like some places because, based on last night, either your nail tech or a coworker will be able to hold a conversation with you and translate your needs. They are very reasonably priced. I mean, $18 for a pedicure with paraffin is amazing! $22 for a full set of nails! I will definitely be going back to them time and again, seems to me I found my salon until I move anyway. Go ahead and give them a shot! I doubt you'll be disappointed! I absolutely love this place! I came here a few years ago when it was under different ownership and it is nothing like that now. This place is my go to and I frequent here at least twice a month. Chi and Tina are the only people I trust with my nails! The other day a coworker offered to pay for me to get a fill with her downtown and I refused. No one takes care of me like these ladies! My shellac acrylics and pedicure look perfect every time. They always remember every detail I tell them about my life and the service is always speedy. I have watched people treat them so bad and they have nothing but a smile on their face. I have been coming here for years and I have no plans of going elsewhere. Chi, Tina and Kelsey you are amazing! Though everyone I have worked with here is amazing. Prices are good, the space is clean and plenty of parking. The ladies seem nice enough but they do not honor the "appointment" system so don't even bother. And they will tell you 5 minutes when they really mean 45. The last time I waited 35 minutes after she kept telling me 5 minutes over and over. A little ridiculous and very frustrating. And I watched them tell customers 30 minutes and when they came back it was another 30 minutes. Who has time for that? First and last time at this salon, only reason for my visit and proximity and necessity. This salon appears to be very ratty, didn't seem that clean once I started taking a closer look around. One of the owners was lounging barefoot on the couch during my manicure and yelling across the room at everyone. The tools used didn't appear to be sanitized, the station itself and surrounding areas didn't seem very clean. My gel manicure took only about 30 minutes, was very rushed and not very detailed at all. I still have some red nail polish stains along some nail edges. I really wanted to say that this place is hit or miss, but truth be told I haven't had a really wretched experience here yet. When I moved to Seattle I started coming here periodically to get my toes done, I like pretty toes, but they haven't ever done a bad job. Sometimes I feel there's some inconsistency like they don't do as thorough of job on both feet or something, I'm not sure. But the staff is friendly and polite, and my toesies always look great. Plus you can walk right in and there's rarely much of a wait, they try to work you in even when they are under-staffed. I really dislike that they speak so much to each other in words that I just don't understand, it's a little rude. It puts it in your head that they're talking about you, even though I'm sure they're probably not. Have not tried their manicure or waxing services as I don't get my nails done, but it appears they have a regular clientele because I've seen the same people in time and again, so I guess that says something. read more

If you just want a quick pedicure and could care less if the person working on you is chatting away with their coworkers, then this place will work just fine. It's fairly clean, usually easy to do a walk-in, reasonable prices, and decent color selection. That's about all I can say that's positive. The staff in here are not professional acting at all. I've been in two times, once for an eyebrow wax and acrylic fill, the other for a fill and pedicure. The eyebrow wax was okay, but the woman who did my fill left strange grooves on my nails that didn't show up until the polish was almost dry. When I showed her, she said she would fix it next time. Whatever, I just wanted to be done. Meanwhile, they were very chatty with one another which normally does not bug me, but they were a bit loud and obnoxious in their manner. Kind of off-putting if you don't know what they're talking about and you're the only one in the salon who does not speak Vietnamese. The other time I went in for the fill/pedi, they had all the thrones full and only two employees, one of whom was doing a fill while she went back and forth to the pedicure on the throne. I thought that was unsanitary and probably rude to both paying customers. THEN, the owner or manager and her husband came in with supplies AND their two daughters! The girls were about 4 and 7 years old and were running all around, yanking on customers arms to get their attention, and one of them opened the side pocket of my purse when she saw me put my phone away! Their parents did absolutely nothing to stop this, nor did they apologize to anyone whose personal space was violated by their kids! To add insult to injury, when I signed my receipt for my fill/pedi--TWO other employees looked over my shoulder to see how big of a tip I was leaving! One of them said something to the effect of, "oooh, nice tip, I'll take you next time"...It was a decent tip, but I wasn't sure if they were being sarcastic. Overall, if I'm in a real fix and need a super fast, not very attentive pedicure I might go back but not for anything else--and definitely not when the owner's kids are running amok! read more

Until last Sunday I would have easily given these guys 5 stars no problem. Open Sundays + Accepts walk-ins + Fast and friendly service+ Affordable+ Great foot rubs + Good pedis+ The first two things still apply but sadly I can not say that the last three were fully experienced on my most recent venture. I come in and ask if my friend and I can sit together so we can chat. I was even willing to wait in order to make this happen. We were assured that one of the seats next to the empty seat would be free soon and so not to worry. Since I had invited my friend as my guest and this was only her second pedi ever. I let her take the open seat. Near the end of my friends pedi I finally get an open seat next to her. Until that point we sat awkwardly far away from each other and just smiled. My guy was awful. First thing he does it cut my cuticle on my toe. He cut it because he was too busy talking to the person next to him and not watching what he was doing. Then he puts that stinging stuff on it which also hurt like hell. Next he gets out that salt rub stuffs and rubs it into my open wound as he messages me legs and feet. Making my poor little toe hurt even more!!! Finally he gets around to painting my toe nails. Also does a crappy job on that too. Nail polish is all over my toes while there are big spots on my toes that were not painted. Finally all the other nail people wore gloves except him. I don't know what the big deal is about wearing gloves but if his co-workers are than he should too. I will still go to these guys. I don't think they are completely hopeless. In fact my friend got a really great pedi. She really enjoyed it and says that she will get one a again because it was such a nice experience. I went here based on the recommendation of a friend who RAVED about this place. This place is extremely standard and a bit disorganized. There was some debris on the floor which kind of grossed me out because it looks like some sort of dust that had been sitting there for some time. The service was friendly but extremely rushed which is my major complaint. I was really looking forward to a relaxing pedicure but was in and out of the massage chair in 15 minutes. i usually expect a pedi to take longer than that. The first time I went here I felt like they did a quality job, so I returned today. The service was horrible. My fingernails are all different shapes and filed unevenly and the paint job is sloppy. I got a pedicure too, nothing to be exited about. The only thing I am happy about is my eyebrows. They came out decent tho I had to clean up a few hairs, I don't see how they missed them tho. A few weeks ago, me and 3 of my friends spontaneously decided that we wanted to get pedicures together. We went to Carkeek Nails and there were 4 available pedicure chairs! The chairs were super comfy and contained remote-controlled massagers, which were quite fabulous. They did a fantastic job on our pedicures! My favorite part of pedicures is the foot massage and they did TWO full massages; first with an exfoliant and then with a lotion. They did a great job with the polish and it has lasted for several weeks. They also have a nice selection of colors. I definitely recommend this salon! read more
