I've been through 3 nail techs in Seattle (they all keep moving away ) !! I just found out my nail tech was moving this week so I had to find a new place. I was recommended bolsa but I needed to get my nails fixed asap so I went somewhere else. Unfortunately it didn't work out :/ the other salon shaped my nails really weird and cut up my cuticles very bad. I scheduled an appointment with Bolsa immediately to fix my nails (it was that bad lol). Yesterday they fixed my pedicure and manicure and gave me a fresh set. I thought I had had some bad pedicures in my day, but this one takes the cake. They were nice and got my friend and I in even though they were clearly busy and had appointments coming in. But that's where the positives end. The pedicure itself was the worst waste of money to date, the massage was a joke and the worst part, it took over TWO hours for my polish to dry so I smudged four nails. This was after sitting in my car with the AC on my toes for 20 minutes trying to get them to dry because they were not drying on their own. Man, what a waste of money. Go to Jenny Nails 2 just down the road. Don't waste your time or money here. Lastly, I can't emphasize enough how bad the massage part was. I really wanted to like this place. The girls who work there are so nice, and they have the new organic SNS gel powder, which I was excited to try. $45 for the set with a 10% first time discount. Unfortunately, the place did not appear very clean. The girl who did my nails pulled out used tools and vigorously filed my already short nails down to the skin. They're still tender. Then she dipped my fingers straight into the jar of gel powder, which also didn't strike me as being very sanitary. She kept coating the gel with more and more layers until they were so thick, she wasn't able to file them back down to a natural level. There were also several spots of gel polish that somehow ended up on my cuticles and down my hand. When I asked her to remove it, she tried to drill it off my skin! She seemed confused when I told her I didn't really like people drilling on my skin. Acetone was my removal method of choice. Again, super nice lady. I really liked her. Just didn't like the way my nails turned out. Way too thick and lumpy. And there was no massage. It was a sad day. The next day, my nails were discoloring and starting to crack. I had to go to another nail salon and have them removed. I hope they do better for the next person. read more

By far the worst nail experience I've ever had. The lady who did my pedicure seems inexperienced and lacks the basic knowledge of nail care. Attempted filing and chipping off gel polish with a cuticle remover, then was going to start my new pedi with shellac remaining on my toes. No consistency between my pedi and my friends pedi that were at the same time. She was also trying to help the main nail tech out by doing certain steps in the dip process for our hands, and you can tell she had no clue what she was doing. Constantly having to ask for the next step, lack of confidence with the drill, etc. It was almost in as if she was being taught the order of the polish layers as she was doing our nails. What should have been a nice/relaxing nail experience was filled w stress and worry. Day 2 after getting my nails done and I've got a chipped toenail and a chipped SNS nail, and I am not tough with my hands/feet lol. Pretty disappointed with my experience. read more

Just got a pedicure so far, the lady did a wonderful job! My toes looked horrific before and she cleaned around and filed down and shaped my toes really nicely. I don't want to post a photo of my toes (my feet are so wide haha) but it was a nice and thorough cleaning and cuticle clipping session. She scrubbed and massaged my legs great! I feel so clean and a lot better now. (Those of you who work on your feet should know how that feels, I'm a server at a busy restaurant) but this mama got pampered and I feel so happy with my visit! The location is a little tricky to get to, but they have some obvious signs to grab your attention. Drive into the parking lot of the apartment next to them and park in around the back. Its an odd location, but once you know where to park and find them, its easy peasy from there! Thanks again! I will definitely be returning if I'm in the area again! read more

They did a decent job on my nails but it wasn't the design i wanted and the nail tech kept trying to convince me to do another design that was completely different from what i asked for. We made a compromise and ended up doing something in between. They came out cute but she charged 75$ which is wayyy overpriced especially since it wasn't even the original design i wanted. I'm used to getting my nails done very nicely and the most I've gotten charged was $60 Other places. I was shocked when i heard the price but i still paid Ofcourse. I got them done less than a week ago and yesterday one of them already broke off. They were nice there but i didn't get what i wanted and i was overcharged. I will not be coming back read more

I had gone to them a couple times and the woman who does designs does a good job, but seems to always be multitasking. The last time I went I booked online and called ahead to make sure she would be doing my nails and it was confirmed. I got there, was sat down, and another woman started doing my nails. I was confused but didn't say anything. Another customer came in and the lady I booked with rushed to her. Throughout my visit 3 other customers came in saying they booked with the same person I did. I finally asked if she would be doing my nails and if there was a way to make sure I'd get time with her in the future and she huffed, got annoyed and told me I should just go somewhere else. I paid, tipped 20% and left. I understand people get busy, but it was obvious she overbooked herself and she was rude. read more

I've been going to this salon for a year, and I wanted to write why I won't be going back. I got my nails done a few weeks ago right before my trip to California. I did dip polish with acrylic tips as usual. Second day into my trip my finger turns purple and is throbbing. The lady that did my nails that day wasn't in a good mood (she's not normally the person that does mine) and was not as careful with my nail beds. I had to get my finger looked at on vacation. It got infected and started to produce pus (sorry for the details). I went to the salon this week and showed them a picture of my finger and asked to be compensated (after all, they know me) and they refused! The same lady said it's because acrylic nails "damage your nail." I've NEVER gotten an infection from getting acrylics done. I will no longer recommend this place to friends.
