I walked in not expecting much and walked out texting my friends about this place! I booked a Shellac manicure through ClassPass and added on a pedicure. The nail polish colors are a bit limited and some of the polish looks pretty old, but I was overall happy with my color choice. For my shellac manicure, I opted for a cat eye look, which was $5 extra. The technicians were attentive and did a great job. The best part was the massage, where they massaged my head, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, and feet! The place is a bit on the smaller end and has some outdated decor, but don't let that deter you. The prices were very affordable, especially compared to some other Seattle nail spots. I had originally booked for a different date but was able to reschedule on the same day for an earlier appointment that fit my schedule better.

Was looking for a new nail salon. This salon is 5 stars!! Wow, I am so impressed! The owner is so sweet! Usually 3 of the ladies are working at the nail salon. You get more than an arm massage or leg/foot massage. When getting a manicure they give you a head/temple/back & arm massage!! So relaxing!! My pedicures & manicures always look so beautiful! For my bachelorette party I had a manicure and had a beautiful flower pained on two of my fingers!

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Worst nail experiences of my life. I got a full set of acrylic nails done and they looked absolutely horrible!!! they chipped and one completely broke off within a week of getting them done. I went back to get them taken off and they used plastic and a dirty tool to PRY them off my nails. In the process they completely ripped off half of my REAL thumb nail and left me bleeding and in pain. This place is absolutely awful and I will never step food inside again. Save yourself the time and pain and avoid at all costs.

Nails cut un even and polish job is sloppy

This salon is…read morevery expensive, which is exactly why I felt it was reasonable to speak up when I didn't like my haircut. To be fair, I did have some trouble explaining exactly what I didn't like -- I don't know all the hair terminology, and there was clearly a bit of a disconnect. But I showed a picture and did my best to explain, and instead of listening and working with me, Devonna seemed not to understand what I meant at all. I never expected her to react so harshly. When I said that the haircut wasn't what I wanted, she became defensive, ripped the cape off me, and told me to go sit in the lobby because she was "freaking out." I hadn't raised my voice or been rude in the slightest all I said was it was not what I had wanted and I didn't like it. Still upset, I went outside to quietly call my mom, not realizing Devonna was sitting in her car. She actually got out to confront me in the parking lot, yelling at me to "go cry somewhere else because she was already crying in her car." Completely unprovoked and shockingly unprofessional. When I told the owner, instead of being horrified, she excused it by saying that seeing me cry upset Devonna even more. So according to this salon, it's acceptable for their staff to yell at a paying customer in the parking lot because their feelings were hurt? Disgusting. The receptionist was kind and apologetic, but the owner's reaction was beyond unacceptable. She never truly listened to what I didn't like about my hair -- every time I tried to explain, she brushed it aside and minimized my concerns instead of acknowledging them. Worst of all, she outright lied by saying I had yelled at Devonna -- something I never did. That lie was clearly meant to discredit me and invalidate everything I was saying. To be gaslit like that by the owner of the salon was shocking and insulting. This salon does not value customers, accountability, or basic professionalism. If you're paying high prices, you deserve respect and to be heard -- not dismissed, gaslit, and lied about. If you're someone who struggles to speak up for yourself, avoid this place at all costs. I will include a picture of the haircut I asked for and the haircut I got and you can tell me if you think its a $100+ haircut or even a good haircut. I even straightened half so you can truly see just how poor work it is

No longer manageable with my BB&B illuminated high-power magnifying mirror (pulled out the big…read moreguns) and fancy tweezers, Joan was enlisted to take care of biz. Btw, she does NOT endorse plucking so don't do it! I think there's a support group somewhere. Anyhow, since having kids, my hormones are whack, resulting in a spreading patch of chin whiskers (can we call them chinskers?) and darker hairs around my lip line. Fast forward a year, they're nearly gone and some of the thicker blonde facial hair's been thinned out as well. Money very well spent in my opinion. Goodbye are the days of finding surprise chinskers while out in public, crazily digging out barely sprouted chinskers with sharp tweezers (bloody mess) and making sure to do all my tweezing before social events and vacations. Also gone are days where the sun catches my face, just right (or wrong) and exposes a hidden beard during a traffic light. Where'd I put those damn back up tweezers?!?!? The travel sized ones, for emergency whisker situations? So back to Joan - she's fabulous, an expert, runs a tight ship. I've never waited past my appointment time, her procedure room's always tidy with good tunes playing and she's fast. Most of our conversations are while she's working around my mouth and yet she hangs with me, despite the mumbling. I'm honestly so glad I found her and only disappointed I hadn't started sooner. While most of my problem areas are no longer so, I continue to see her for maintenance because I'm that impressed with my results. Please, go see Joan!

Their conclusion was made pre-consultation, clearly driven by biased assumptions on what concerns a potential client might have. As I did receive an e-mail response from the team, I continue to believe (with effort) that Expert Electrolysis means well, therefore I give them two stars in pursuit of that hope. Unfortunately they just haven't caught on to the idea that women come from all backgrounds. Disappointing and a little surprising considering Seattle demographics. Please show integrity and be true to your aspirational mission statement; seek ways to treat -all- women.
