I have been coming here for 10 years, family owned business amazing all around. Today I got a gel X manicure, with tiger eye magnetic polish from Hui- super cool stuff. And then I got an amazing pedicure from Isabel. Fantastic massage with hot stones. Also a moisturizing leg wrap. They are clean, very hygienic. Most important, it's a great atmosphere and the crew really good the guest first. So relaxing, not too loud. You really wouldn't believe it unless you take the time for yourself to visit. read more

Being new to Seattle, one of my first missions was to find a nail salon. I chose 3 that I wanted to try before deciding where to become a regular. My Nail Bar was the first that I tried. I got to the area a bit early so that I could explore a bit. It's a great location! It's right across the street from Green Lake Park and there's lots of coffee shops and restaurants scattered around. I could see a really nice "me time" routine including lunch, a walk, and mani/pedi. My Nail Bar itself is nice. Nothing too fancy, but relatively clean and comfortable. There was a solid color selection. My nail tech (I wish I would have written her name down) was really kind and did a great job with my nails. It lasted for a while, too! Which is impressive considering how rough I can be with my hands. It was also a great price. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. read more

It's really relaxing in there and reception staff were kind. It seems like they have some loyal customers. It's a great location! For the service itself wasn't the most even trimming job, with my nails in different sizes. There was paint left on my skin at the end. The scrubbing was a little painful, and she seemed a little upset with me if I didn't know exactly when to move my feet. I may go back and try another staff member. Didn't seem like they had any particular beverages or eye masks like some shops have. Overall, can't complain, but I've had better pedicures before. read more

I was very excited coming in for my first visit, but unfortunately I did not feel welcomed. I have short, brittle nails and already feel self-conscious when coming in for nail services, so a kind and professional environment is very important. The technician did not introduce herself and communicated very little throughout the service, which felt unprofessional. I was also told to "never bite my nails" and "don't do that" without any empathy, which was embarrassing rather than supportive. When it came time to pay, I was asked about a tip upfront, and both staff members watched me closely, which made the situation extremely uncomfortable. Customers should be welcomed and treated respectfully regardless of whether their nails are short or long. Overall, this experience left me feeling uneasy and unwelcome, and I will never come here again. I hope in the future the technicians respect each customer as they walk in. For someone with short nails, it can make you feel vulnerable and shy, and a little kindness goes a long way. read more

Let's start with one of my favorite things, online reservations! You can do that here, but keep in mind you need a card to hold the rest. Next you arrive and there are so many options for nails from gel, dipping, and beyond. I did French gel fingers and copper colored toes. I love that they line the massage chair pedicure tub with a fresh liner. It's also fairly quiet there and perfect for your own podcast or music! A delight. I will be back! read more

5 stars for lash lift 3 for nails I have mixed feelings with dipping powder/extension nails there. The first time I went a man did my nails it was just perfect!!!!! It lasted for more than 3 weeks, shape, color, everything just right and the guy was really nice and fast. Second time I was expecting the same and very distracted lady did my nails and Pedi. It was painful, nails got thick, they lasted for a week, some of them chipped within 4 days. But I've been there 3 or more times for lash lift. The lash lift service there is just amazing, I've tried a couple in Seattle area and she does an excellent job, it gets so lifted and lasts for so long! I had a great pedicure experience at My Nail Bar Booking an appointment was very easy with the online booking system in place. When I arrived, I was offered some tea and within a couple minutes I was sitting in a nice massage chair getting my feet soaked and prepped for pedicure :) My nail technician was great! She was very gentle and made my feet look and feel great. Once she was done, I didn't feel rushed, and waited for about thirty minutes until my nails were dry. Selfishly, I hesitate to sing the praises of such a great place because they're already quite busy, but I have to do the right thing. One of the best pedicures in the area! This salon is owned by the same people as Roosevelt Nail Bar, and you can expect consistent, good quality at both. My Nail Bar is clean and modern looking, and despite being close to a busy corner of Green Lake, they have convenient parking under the building. Reservations are recommended, but herein lies my main complaint. They have a somewhat unusually stringent reservation system which takes a 50% charge if you have to cancel last minute. I understand the reasoning, but it is the thing that discourages me from going there more often. read more

When you're rescheduling an appointment, you make sure you look at what services were requested, all of them, and confirm accordingly.. you don't wait until the customer comes on time and tell them you have time for 1 service but not another. I don't get how this could happen, it just shows how careless the owner was and didn't even look at my appointment when he confirmed the new appointment because when you book online and pick services it blocks their calendar for a specific amount of time. My sister and I are always on the lookout for a go-to nail salon for manis and pedis so we decided to give My Nail Bar a try given it's proximity to my sister's apartment and the ease of parking. It was easy to call and make an appointment same day. I tried the powder manicure and my sisters got pedicures. I've been wanting to try a SNS powder manicure for some time since I never got on the gel bandwagon and I've been trying to get that milky pink nail, not quite acrylic look for some time. Huy did my nails and was patient as I selected my color (there's a huuuuuge selection and apparently it's not even as many as Roosevelt Nail Bar has). He was thorough in my manicure and I greatly appreciated his explanation of each step. I left very happy with my manicure and things have held up well after 1 week. The powder manicure is overall a little pricy ($45) but My Nail Bar's prices are competitive and the service is great. The space is brand new with lots of chairs and tables, great for a large group! I have gone for this service (dipping powder) at the Roosevelt location and they had done cuticle trimming and hand and arm massage with just the "dip powder" service and I was very satisfied. It was unclear when booking online whether there was a need to add a $30 manicure to the $45 dipping powder service. So no cuticles were trimmed and I came out less happy than at the Roosevelt location. The powder itself seems to be well applied and except for plastic on the skin on the edges it looks good. I did not mention the difference of service even when the gentleman that did my nails asked me if I was happy. So that is on me and I am OK. I am just writing this review to let you know to make sure of the service you are getting if you are expecting cuticle work. The young gentleman that welcomes you is very friendly and professional. It's a great location, right by the lake, larger space, more pedicure massage chairs, and same excellent service ! Im a huge fan of this family and their businesses. My nails always look so good when I leave. Some highlights: 1. Included glass of wine/beer/champagne when you get a pedi. Great for b-day celebration like we were doing or bachelorette/wedding party! 2. DIP NAILS! I love dip. My nails are so strong, thick, and look soo good. If you haven't tried, I recommend giving it a shot. A little more expensive than gel, but no UV dry time. 3. They have tons of colors and each color is now available in dip, gel, or regular! So you can find the right color regardless of what type mani you choose. I'm already scheduled for my next appointment. I'm sure I'll be a regular here too! read more

Weird experience, tried them out because my regular nail salon was booked and I was in a pinch. I figured the location and the positive reviews meant this place would be quality. My pedicure started out great, the woman was pleasant and accommodating to me. Suddenly a woman and child arrived who seemed to be VIP and suddenly the person who started my treatment walked away, rushed to this woman and the child to set them up quickly for a nail service at the manicure tables. So, I sat for a couple minutes trying to figure out what was happening, was this temporary or was I being abandoned? The original person then called out in her native language to another woman who seems to be cleaning a treatment room, she didn't seem excited that she was being asked to take over my treatment and from there my pedicure went south. She was kinda rough on my cuticles and under my nails digging out dead skin, I flinched and said I have sensitive feet and she kept doing the rough service. She then started digging out dead skin and wiping it from the cuticle cutters onto the top of my foot like it was my reward or something, like show and tell? I don't know?!? WTF? She was wearing rubber gloves and would wipe some of the dead skin into them then proceed to massage that congealed mess onto my feet periodically. I wanted to throw her a towel and say "hey, clean your hands off before continuing the service, kinda normal hygiene rules?!? I'm sure there are people who frequent this place and have great service, perhaps this was an off day and I got someone who didn't usually do nail service? Still, don't wipe peoples toe jam on the top of their foot and leave it there! Gross. My toes were filed uneven and although the polish looked good at the end, it chipped on my big toe a day later. They cut and filled two of my nails so short it caused them to bleed. This from a place that asks for a credit card to make a reservation and they charged $20 for French tips which is double what the other salons in the area charge. The pedicure was not great. Since opening this second shop I have been visiting this location more than the Roosevelt. It's just as great as the other but much larger and with an amazing view of the lake while you get your nails done. There is even parking under the building as well which is a bonus! Tram and her team hold a very high bar for their work. I have NEVER left her shop unhappy and every time I get Dip powder nails they last up to 4 weeks. The team here takes their time and makes sure that you are happy with their work before you leave. Due to COVID, Tram and her team have taken many precautions (limited capacity, plexiglass barriers between you and your nail artist, sanitizing between appointments & being able to book your nail appointments online). read more

This is the only nail salon I've been to that DOESN'T give me any lumps in my gel manicure. Although I've had pleasant experiences at another salon, I've always had at least one nail look a little lumpy or bumpy and some bare nails leaking. At this salon, I have yet to experience that. I've only gone in for two gel manicures but I think I'm going to be a regular here. The salon is clean, the nail techs are all nice and sweet. I had an appointment scheduled on 1/16 at Roosevelt Nail Bar, but was reached out to a couple of hours prior to my appointment and told that they're closing early and to go to their other location instead. I was really hoping to like this place! The girl doing my nails was very stand-offish, I had to ask her multiple times to shape/file my nails, and she wouldn't even cut my cuticles (part of a standard manicure). My shellac manicure just wasn't good.. I didn't say anything and went to pay and apparently the prices on the website were completely different than at the salon. When I mentioned this to her she didn't seem to care or have any explanation. Now, not even a week later, my nails have chipped and the gel is peeling off (see pics). I've never had this happen when I've gotten my nails done at any other salon. What a waste of $50. read more

I've been going to Roosevelt Nail Bar for months now, and I've truly enjoyed their service and haven't had any major issues. I went to this location today (same owners) since the Roosevelt location was closed. Pros: My nails and toes are beautiful and look nice. Cons: I was noticeably mistreated and it's bothering me so much that I'm holding back tears as I write this review. -I was never offered anything to drink. -I had TO ASK for toe separators for my pedicure which confused me. -I did not receive the complimentary massage at the end of my manicure. My 8 year old daughter even noticed that I didn't get a massage like every one else and she mentioned it as soon as we got in our car. I was the only African-American person in there and I can't help but assume that I was discriminated against. I'm upset that I even graciously tipped these people. I will never go back to this location or the Roosevelt location. I'm done with them and their racist actions that have literally moved me to tears. You lost a loyal customer. read more
