The girl took my FULL brow, cut it in half, thought to herself, "you know what look we haven't seen in a while...the Gwen Stefani year 2000. Came in for an eye brow threading session but decided to tint my light, blonde eye brows with henna! These ladies were very nice, professional, are quick in the hair removal process. The shape of my eye brows is absolutely great and I look forward to seeing the color after a few days when it lightens up a little bit! Horrible experience, I asked her to clean the outer lining hair from my eyebrows and the first thing she does take the scissors to my eyebrow. I literally grew out my eyebrows to get the thicker and fuller look and she just ruined my eyebrows. If you love your brows look elsewhere this lady will mess your brows up. If you like thin snake looking brows please be my guest. Never again! As I laminated my brows after to give them the fuller look I realized she cut my eyebrows length from In Between the shaping. I'm so livid but sucks that as a consumer you pay for shit services and can't do anything about it if they mess up. This place needs to close down. Also I didn't mention that they don't know how to give proper details of their location as they have construction going on in the plaza. The lady is on her phone when you enter the shop and stands up at her leisure to help you. If you can't handle a business shut it's doors stop trying to run the consumer to the ground. First they come to you for services that help your business keep its doors open and you turn around and give that consumer shitty service. read more

Went in this past Friday mid day. The place was dead, there was only one woman working. Got a brow threading and my eyebrows are incredibly uneven now. So upsetting since I have an important interview coming up. My left brow arches but she took a lot off the inner brown. My right brow is flat and thicker at the inner brow. They are at different heights as well. So upsetting. I called Manisha with Avanti in Everett since she has excellent reviews. She was able to get me in the next day and worked her magic to try and balance out my brows. She did her best but they are still uneven til they grow out. Won't ever go to this location of brow arc again. The lady there needs extra training. If you are on the north end, go and see Manisha at Avanti in Everett!! She is excellent. Finally a threading place in Seattle that doesn't require an appointment AND is affordable ... about $10-13 for your eyebrows (I purchased a package for 7 @ $10 each). These ladies definitely know what they are doing - they are quick and they follow your natural arch - so you leave you feeling very beautiful and cleaned up in 10 minutes! Also - there are 2 locations in the mall - a kiosk and a store. Both are fine - but I prefer the store. Actually - I prefer Laxmi, so I go where ever she is! read more

As a "membership" holder, I expect above average service but instead, I feel as if I'm a second-class customer because I'm not paying full-price. You purchase 7 brow threading sessions ahead of time and they're good for a year. Unfortunately, my card expired with 2 punches left. I asked if I could still pay half price or even use just one punch before getting rid of the card but they said it was against their policy. I understand if it's a fairly pricey procedure but their materials consist of thread, lotion and tweezers and takes all of 5 minutes. I've visited both Northgate and Federal Way and the woman at the Federal Way location was especially suspicious when I approached the stand with my card. She demanded to see my ID to "verify" my membership card before flat out refusing it. (Apparently people make counterfeit ones? Who knows). There's a kinder way to let me know it's against company policy but my feathers were mostly ruffled by her rudeness. Frankly, you're much better off visiting some place like Khoobsurat in Kent (or similar). The women are fast, kind and skilled at the art of brow threading. They also charge $6 for brows, not $15 like the Brow Art kiosks. Please!! read more

I came here a handful of times because it was convenient. After 2-3 visits, they talked me into buying a membership which I didn't want because I don't have the same service consistently. Sometimes, I just do brows, sometimes I also have them clean up the sides, and occassionally I will add upper lip. This was a negotiation every time I came in because however they scribble on that card does not allow for inconsistencies. Then there was the day I went in and felt like I had my face burned off. I don't know what she did or how she did it, but it was the most painful threading experience of my life. My skin was on fire for at least an hour afterwards. After that I would wait forever to make sure not to go back to her again. Finally, I lost my membership card only about half way through, and I went in and tried to explain that and have them look me up. They have no electronic record of anything so I was just S.O.L. Never, Ever, will I Ever go back to this place. read more

This place is my savior. I have sensitive skin on my face and everytime I've ever gone somewhere to get my eyebrows waxed, it end up pulling off layers of my skin and leaving my eyebrows bright red and ready to scab :( Threading is the best. And the woman who works here is absolutely amazing and so nice. She does a great job, is quick, and efficient! I used to just pay every visit, but I finally came to my senses and bought a 3 month membership. I can go in at any time and get my brows done, or even just cleaned up. Rajani is my go-to threader here. I have been searching for someone to do my brows well since moving away from New York where Pinky used to do them perfectly (see Pinky's Village Spa). Rajani does the best job with my brows than any other person I've tried in Seattle. As someone else wrote, I too miss the $8 threading sessions in NY, but this place is worth it if you buy the membership deal which makes it $10/session. I come here for threading of my eyebrows. I used to frequent Khoobsurat in Kent but since moving up north, the drive is too far. A friend suggested Brow Arc inside the Northgate Mall. She's been going for a while, so I decided to give it a try. The price point is comparable to the Indian places in Kent if you buy a package. I bought a package of 6. You can use the package at other locations too (Southcenter, Lynnwood, etc.). As for service, it's organized with a sign in sheet. At times there are long lines. I haven't noticed anything exceptional in terms of skill. It hurts a bit more than the ladies in Kent, and they don't shape as well, so you need to give some direction. But no mishaps yet (crossing fingers)! read more

I could tell that the whole team were true professionals and that they enjoyed what they did and treated it like an art. As a membership holder for 5 years, I would expect a bit more attention to detail, like wiping my brow makeup off first and how about some witchhazel for the redness? Love, love, love having my brows threaded. I've moved to Shoreline from Olympia and so I don't have access to my usual threader but saw this place while shopping at Northgate Mall. Apparantly, there are two locations within the mall, I went to the one by the AT&T store, the storefront, not the kiosk. Also unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the girl who threaded my brows. I was initally I little nervous because she didn't ask me how I wanted my brows done and when I brought it up, she didn't seem to particularly care but she was incredibly quick and thorough and ten minutes later I had perfectly sculpted brows. And no, there are no frills like bathing your brow with lavender scented oils or witchhazel and the like but she knows how to do her job. The only thing I that annoyed me was that she was really pushing her package deal for threading which I wasn't interested in and had to repeat a couple of times. But I'll definately be back. read more

I don't really know why everyone complains so much about Brow Arc on Yelp. Yes, I've had a couple of times that I left with my skin a little more red than I have at previous threading places but the shape has always been exactly what I described. Is it the pushiness of selling the packages that turns people off? Who knows, what I do know is that they have always done a good job for me and it is so convenient that it is near the play place at Northgate--I can wear the little one out there and he will sit quietly in his stroller while i get my brows done! read more

I'm new to Seattle from the east coast (DC) and had never seen a threading salon before, so I just popped in for service on a whim. LOVED it and bought a membership on the spot! "Dilsheed", who I think may be the manager, was personable, funny and very good at explaining the different outcomes you can expect with threading as opposed to tweezing. (So THAT'S why I'm struggling with ingrown hairs...) I haven't been happy with my brows (kind of curly and unruly) and the nail salon techs that I used when I didn't attempt to do my brows myself, always seemed to wax them way too thin for my taste. Dilsheed cleaned me up beautifully and I didn't find the experience painful at all (although she remarked that I seemed pretty tough for a 1st-timer...but my pain threshold generally is pretty high). I was so pleased with my brows that I had her do upper lip and chin in the same session. I bought a 90-day unlimited package because Dilsheed advised me to stop tweezing altogether (which I'm happy to try--I'm fed up with bumps and ingrown hairs), and just come in as hairs appear (the Northgate Mall location is pretty close to my house). We'll see if the hair growth slows down as she claims. NOTE: As another Yelper noted, Brow Arc has NO electronic database system! Dilsheed advised me to take a phone camera shot of my membership card; if it gets lost, she said they will honor the picture of the card. read more

I'm always skeptical about getting my eyebrows done by anyone but my regular threader in Cleveland bc she does such a great job and frankly I don't trust everyone to do a good job on my face for the first time. However, I am very pleased by the results! The threader let me see each brow as they were completed and I was extremely satisfied. I read other reviews and was a little afraid that they would try to force me to buy a membership but after I told her I was in from out of town she didn't say anymore about that. At the check out I had a $1 off coupon from Yelp and without much trouble, it was honored and I was on my way. When I come back to Seattle and I need my brows done, I will certainly return. read more

I got my eyebrows done for the first time ever today! I heard that threading was better than waxing so I had to try it! I went to Brow Arc because it's really close to where I live (Northgate Mall) and I saw that it had generally good reviews. When I got there a few people were there waiting and judging by their perfect eyebrows...I was in the right place! I didn't have to wait too long and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait! I LOVE my new eyebrows! I wish I got the name of who did my brows because she did a great job! It was quick and pretty painless. Afterwards she offered me some lotion for my brows and it definitely helped with the little bit of stinging I was feeling. I will be going back to keep up with them! Omg best experience! I have super light blond hair and I'm Super sensitive because I'm a redhead. She made sure to get all the hair. She of course did a great job on my brows, but when waxing my lip and chin, she did my whole chin including under my lip area. I love having no hair whatsoever, it's baby soft smooth!!! Will get all three done every time. Other places just do a little spot on chin or miss all my light hair. Now I was super red, but went to The Body Shop after and used their Aloe soothing gel, my redness was Gone in minutes!! read more

I came here after I got my eyebrows done at Gene Juarez and was very unhappy with how they did them at Gene Juarez. A lady I don't usually see at Gene Juarez had barely shaped them and put barely any dye in my eyebrows even though I kept telling her to darken them. Thus, I came to BrowArc and they fixed up the shape for free--and did an excellent job at that! They also tinted them very nicely to my preferred shade of brown. Their customer service is excellent and their workers are so accommodating and nice. Prices are very reasonable too considering how good their services are. I highly recommend BrowArc! I've been to this place quite a few times and each time was great except today. The lady that did my eyebrows was HORRIBLE. first of all the was so slow which made it the most painful threading process i've ever had in my life. She took half my eyebrow off when i explicitly told her to leave them thick because that's how they are but nope made them extremely thin, uneven as well and to top it all off she took a whole chunk of hair from my eyebrow? i wish i had gotten her name because she should not be threading eyebrows. do not go here unless you know who you're going to. this place will mess your eyebrows up. read more

Usually have a good experience here. Today I took my grandma here and I watched the woman who waxed her brows never change the dip stick. She used the same wood stick the entire time. I get my brows done about once a year; have done it maybe four or five times total in my life. I've been to this place twice, pointed to a picture on the wall, and both times they did a great job and made my brows look trimmed and normal like I asked. After reading all the those reviews, I was kinda doubt of the quality of this shop. But I decided to take a risk to try it since I walked pass by and my eyebrows recently look like trash (lol). So I move in with the attitude 'bring it on'. First time doing the threading eyebrows, it was a bit hurt but it's how it should be (I asked my friend who also did the threading but at another place). Each time finishing, she asked me if I need to fix anywhere or want to trim ect. Generally, it's not too bad. They seem to not 100% understand what I'm saying but it's partial problem so it's fine for me. Finally, I decided to buy a short-term membership. If you patiently explain how you want to do your eyebrows to them, I believe they will do. Not too bad! read more

I'm used to getting my brows threaded while living in NYC and Brow Art is the only convenient place that offered comparable services in Seattle. I purchased a package for eyebrows and upper lip threading that entitles me to 6 sessions for $65. I find that pretty reasonable. They're really quick and they get the job done. There's not much nice service to speak of, but I'm not trying to be best friends with someone who plucks my eyebrows so I'm totally fine with waiting my turn, sitting wherever they point me to, and helping hold my skin taut when they tell me. read more

my first review on yelp ever and it's a negative one when it comes to this place! I was refused service 20 minutes before actual closing time. I even stood there for a good 2 minutes staring at the two of them ignoring me before one whispered to the other and then that other said "we're closed" smugly. as a "membership holder" that's not the kind of service I expected. The customer service is some of the worst I've come across. I'm not going to pay $15 if the staff can't even manage a simple "hello" or "thanks and good bye" even tho I greeted them with a smile and asked them how they were. I was curtly directed to "sit in that chair". I was NOT asked anything in relation to my preference, instead I had to speak up and tell her what I wanted. Even after that she managed to pretty much ruin my arch and now I have almost flat eyebrows. I noticed a couple girls walked in and sat down to wait and it seems this sped the attendant up even more, she wizzed thru the rest and almost shoved the mirror at me. At this point I wanted out and did not care to tell this girl off since I doubt she cared. I was not offered any of the powder or witch hazel to calm my skin or any sort of thanks for giving them business. The perfect combination of (low) cost, convenience, and quality. You can walk in, they have posters with various eyebrow looks, so you can be sure both you and the technician are on the same page. Threading feels strange, but less shocking than a strip of wax being ripped off your skin. I bought an unlimited 3 month pass for $50, which makes it easy to afford keeping my brows looking fantastic all the time. I had my upper lip done too, and it hurt so much that all I could do was crack up laughing. It's less expensive than Anastasia at Nordstrom, and more reliable than the (cheap, but) one-size-fits-all methodology of the Asian Nail Salon model.
