This place is fast, professional, and friendly! I went for my first tattoo today and was really impressed with how realistic my tattoo came out even though it was on the small side (I have tiny arms). The artist Carson is a real pro and you can tell that he knows his stuff!

Lovely shop that is friendly and approachable

I cannot recommend Ying's Tattoo highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was beyond incredible. Carson's artistry is unmatched--his ability to bring my vision to life with a stunning blend of watercolor and calligraphy was nothing short of masterful. Every line, every detail in this memorial tattoo for my pups holds meaning and beauty. Ying'a customer service was equally phenomenal. Thoughtful, responsive, and deeply invested in making sure every part of the process felt personal and smooth. They both truly went above and beyond, taking every one of my ideas and requirements and transforming them into something even more meaningful than I imagined--while adding their own creative flare that made the design shine. If you're looking for artists who care deeply about their craft and their clients, look no further. I'm already sending everyone I know to Ying's Tattoo!

During first session with outlines done and water element in work.

I recently got a half-sleeve at Ying's. The studio is nice with great décor and the experience went very well. I like a quiet atmosphere and this studio is that. Initial consultation with Ying and Carson to discuss my vision for what I wanted. Carson created a great art piece from my idea and sent for my review about a week later. They worked with me on a couple minor adjustments along with a mock-up "fitting". The work was spread over several sessions, and every visit was greeted with the same professionalism, including a revision to one element (to change size and placement) at the start of the second session. Carson did a fabulous job creating a realism image with mountain, forest, water, and horse elements. They also did a review and touch-up about a month after the last session, to ensure that everything was settling and healing well. I love how the tattoo turned out and will definitely go back to Ying's for future work. (Photos: During 1st session and then the finished piece (about 5 weeks after last session just after minor touch-up visit.) I changed my mind about the Chinese calligraphy character size between first and second session (before the outline was filled in) and Carson revised to fit the larger size into the piece.)

The most sweetest people we've ever met! His artwork is incredible !! The fine line is incredible and exactly what we wanted. He was very light handed which made the experience ten times better! Highly recommend and pricing was reasonable as well!

8 months sober and needed tattoo therapy. The place I was going to go to was closed. Was able to walk in, show them what I wanted and walked out a short while later with a fantastic tattoo. Very relaxing while getting the tattoo. Great price too! Definitely going back for more

AMAZING!!! This little shop is a true gem. I had a flight to catch in 3 hours from the start time of the tattoo and he busted out 4 in 56 minutes. I'm over the moon happy. Family run- husband is tattoo artist, wife is translator (transplants from China) and helps with design/placement process, and a sweet little boy who gets to add delightful little doodles on the consent forms. Wonderful experience and so happy with the work!

Carson is an amazing artist. I described a concept, and what he came back with was even better than what I had in mind. can't recommend them enough.

Work went exactly as described, art recreated with diligence and care, will be back for more!

I've always wanted to get a tattoo of my dogs, but I hesitated for a long time because of three main concerns: (1) the fear of not being able to handle the pain, (2) the worry that my skin might react with allergies or scars, and most importantly, (3) the fear of not finding an artist skilled enough to capture the adorable details of my dogs because tattoos are permanent. While I could research the first two concerns on my own, finding a great tattoo artist required not just research but a bit of luck. After browsing through many portfolios and reviews, I was fortunate enough to come across Ying's Tattoo, and I have to say, I couldn't be happier with my decision. I have two beloved dogs, a 10-year-old Great Pyrenees named Congcong and an 11-year-old Maltipoo named Duoduo. They're healthy and happy, despite their age, and I wanted to carry their image with me forever. After thorough research on social media, I found this incredible artist and decided to book an appointment two months in advance. I traveled from out of state specifically for this session. I wanted a realistic black-and-grey tattoo of both dogs covering the outside of my upper arm. The goal was to capture every detail, making it as lifelike as possible. When I arrived at the studio at 10 am, we immediately began discussing the design. I had a hard time choosing reference photos because I love my dogs so much, so I showed the artist my entire photo album! With great patience and efficiency, the artist asked about my dogs' breeds, personalities, typical expressions, and behaviors. After narrowing down the selection, he quickly created a few potential designs. Once we finalized the design, the artist printed it out to scale, placed it on my arm to adjust the positioning, and then transferred the stencil onto my skin. After a brief break, we began the tattoo process. Over the next 9 hours and 11 minutes, the artist skillfully worked with different needle sizes to create a stunningly detailed portrait of my dogs. The process involved three main steps: first, outlining the basic shapes with medium-thick lines; then, filling in the details with needles of varying thicknesses, from dark to light shades; and finally, adding highlights with white ink for extra depth. The artist's dedication was incredible - he remained focused throughout the entire session. As for the results, they speak for themselves. You can see the individual layers of fur, the fluffiness of Congcong's face, and even the slight glint in his eyes that shows his confident, yet sweet personality. Duoduo's more recent picture shows her serious expression after her dad said, "Duoduo, mom is getting you tattooed, sit nicely for the photo!" The tattoo captures even the tiniest details, like the curl of her fur and the little speck of her nose. When I sent the photos to my hubby, we both felt an overwhelming sense of joy, and cried like babies. I can't express how grateful I am to have found this tattoo artist. It feels like my dogs are now with me forever, and I'm beyond happy with the result! For anyone considering a tattoo here, I'd like to share a few tips: 1. Listen to the artist's advice and make sure you get a good night's sleep and a big meal before your appointment, as it helps with managing the pain. 2. Bring something to distract yourself during the process (like a phone) because it's a long session, and you might get sleepy. 3. Try not to chat with the artist too much during the tattoo; they need to focus on their work. 4. Aftercare is important, especially if you're not from Seattle - follow the instructions closely to avoid needing touch-ups. Pain-wise: black ink hurts less than color ink, with a ratio of about 1:4. As for placement, the outer upper arm hurts less than the inner arm or shoulder, with a pain ratio of about 1:1.5:2. I feel incredibly lucky to have found this amazing artist! I hope Ying's Tattoo continues to grow and thrive because they truly deserve it!

This was my first tattoo ever and they went above and beyond. Not only did they give me exactly what I wanted they also made sure I was comfortable during the whole process. I would 100% recommend!!

I don't even know where to begin. The shop has a really cool atmosphere and Carson is incredibly talented. Not only that but he is very kind and tattoos are reasonably priced. They also fit you in very quickly. He is a hidden gem, but I feel like everyone needs to know how awesome he is. He did my fourth tattoo for my 40th birthday, I have had so many compliments on it. I was so happy that three weeks later, I went in for a touchup and got another one. Look at no further. He is the man for the job.

This was an awesome experience! They were very gentle and kind doing this tattoo on me. They were very flexible on what the art style you wanted and are willing to work with you out to give you the best outcome. 100% recommend and very caring (made me a sandwich and water halfway through it, very kind!)

During that time I've never actually written a review before, but my recent sessions with Tim Bradley (aka Mean Ole Tim) at the Wallingford location deserve one. Tim has been an absolute standout. He's not just a skilled tattooer -- he's an artist and professional in the truest sense. His ability to translate an idea into something that feels both deeply personal and beautifully cohesive is unreal. He recently completed a full torso panel of my German shepherd, Stryder, in an Irezumi-inspired style, as well as two custom hand pieces -- and every step of the process was collaborative, thoughtful, and executed with precision. What I appreciate most is Tim's mix of humility, humor, and quiet confidence. He listens, gives honest feedback, and works with a level of care that shows in every line and aspect of the piece. The end result isn't just cool ink -- it's art that carries weight, intention, and soul. After nearly a decade with STTN, I can say this has been one of my best experiences yet. If you're looking for someone who genuinely gives a damn about both the craft and the client, Tim's your guy.

It was so amazing and I was so impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted in a very nice way, my needs were heard and respected, and, oh my, what a selection of different jewelry they have to pick from, very impressive! Adam did my ear piercing and listened to where I wanted the new piercing and Adam double checked before we proceeded with the piercing. But what most impressed me was how he prioritized Sanitation. I think he must have changed his gloves four times after he touched every item needed for the process. He explained aftercare very well. Checkout was wonderful too, they made sure that I knew how to contact them at any time if I had any other questions or concerns after the fact. Oh, and they made sure I knew what the end cost would be even before the actual piercing so there are no surprises at checkout.

I am beyond furious with the way Pierced Hearts handled my sister's navel piercing. From the start,…read morethis experience has been a disaster due to sheer negligence and a complete lack of accountability. My sister clearly explained to the piercer, Jaime, that she has a very flat belly button and specifically asked if the standard navel jewelry would be appropriate. He confidently said yes -- and we trusted his professional judgment. That trust was completely misplaced. As time passed, the jewelry began to embed itself into her skin, which should never have happened with the right jewelry in the first place. We returned to the shop, and Adam helped change it to a floating navel piercing -- the type she should have received from day one. He apologized and even took a photo of the damage because it was obvious something had gone terribly wrong. But the damage had already been done. Within a week, she developed a severe infection -- one that urgent care later confirmed was likely due to the original jewelry creating a gaping wound that never healed properly. Despite following aftercare instructions to the letter, she ended up on two antibiotics and hydrocodone just to manage the pain. Yet when we returned to the shop a third time to request a refund and share what she was going through, the staff were incredibly dismissive and refused to take any responsibility. They immediately shifted blame, accusing her of neglecting aftercare, even though we were meticulous. No effort was made to offer a solution, express genuine concern, or show even the slightest empathy. Just said "well, do you want to get it pierced again?!" ... no! Her belly button area now is completely bruised and mangled because of this place. We will never be coming back here again. To make matters worse, the owner was outright disrespectful and condescending over the phone. When we told him that medical professionals advised removing the piercing and draining the infection, her arrogant response was, "Why would they do that?!" as if she knew better than actual doctors. That tone alone spoke volumes about how little they care once they have your money. We asked for a refund because of all the trouble we've been through after the negligence of the first piercer, now having to pay for urgent care visits and medication. I chose this shop based on their glowing reviews, but let me be clear: if you're considering any body piercing here, don't. They might be decent with ear piercings or tattoos -- but when it comes to body piercings, especially anything more complex, they are careless, unprofessional, and utterly unwilling to take accountability when something goes wrong. My sister went in for a simple piercing and walked away in physical pain and emotional distress, and not once did they offer real help, only excuses. This shop failed her. Completely.

Ingrid Elaine did my first tattoo, which was also a matching set for my brother and I!!…read more I was recommended this place by a good friend who had lots of sick video game themed tattoos. I appreciate the timely response and abilities to take walk in! I got a response from Ingrid literally a few minutes after sending an inquiry on their site at 1 AM ( not drunk, just a night owl ). So happy that Ingrid was able to book my brother and I in on a Saturday slot. I gave her an inspo pic which my brother and I wanted to match for Spongebob & Patrick and she did so much better than I could have imagined! She had such a cute and colorful style. As a first time tattoo, Ingrid was calm, walked me through the process and checked on me just enough during the inking. She also posts the aftercare on her insta which is great for one to look back on. I highly recommend her designs I love our tattoos and the healing process has been so seamless. Great color choice by Ingrid and a wonderful experience for my first tattoo!!!

Bunky Osyter is no artist, she is a scammer…read more Long story short, I created this small geometric design myself and booked an appt with Bunky Oyster and submitted my $100 deposits on 8/16/2022. Next week, she told me this one hour long tattoo session will cost me $500, cuz she charged by pieces. *** Unless her hourly rate is $500/hr, I don't see how it is possible for such small piece of tattoo will cost $500 before tip. Especially my design doesn't even require any of her drawing and creativity. Same date , I told her I am no longer pursuing a tattoo appt with her and I would like to cancel the appt for 9/8/2022 (the appt was cancelled 2 weeks prior to the actual date), then she refused to refund my deposit. Your website says 48 hours prior to appt notice for rescheduling/ cancellation or deposit is subject to be forfeited. I cancelled my appt more than 2 week, which was because Bunky Oyster was trying to up charge me by 4 times of the market price, and she refused to refund my deposit. Today I completed the exact same design for $180 w tips, and the session was completed within an hour. Bunky oyster is no artist, she is a scammer, shame on you for hiring such employee with low work ethic and so much greed. Please be careful, don't make the mistake I made with her
